Old owner is a grouchy old man and has no respect for his customers. He refused to give me a rental after I had already reserved one and tried 2 different DEBIT cards (they only take credit cards). I only needed it for 1 day. Go to AVIS they have great customer service
Super polite! They called ahead to make sure everything was ready when we got there. Took good care of us when we got there and turned in. Car did smell like heavy smoke and there was some trash in it, but nothing else major.
Very odd experience at best. First, he wouldnt have a car until 9 the next day, but wouldnt be open during normal hours to rent it out. Doesnt rent cars after 5. Then he would have it at 7, Ill make it work. That sounds like a waste of my time. And hes not open then either.Then wouldnt answer the phone. I used competitor that was great.

Hertz staff at the Minot Airport location were excellent to deal with. I rented a vehicle to go between Minot, Airport and Williston, ND. Checking out the vehicle went real smooth and took less than 10 minutes. Car was in good condition and working order. I checked it back in about 3 hours after renting it to the Hertz at Williston Airport. Had to use the key drop at the Williston location because their staff was absent during business hours. Willistons staff screwed up on the car check in, the result was I was double billed. Minots staff were very helpful and able to get it corrected.

Hands down best hertz location. Flight came in after they were supposedd to close and they waited for me and another customer off the flight . I was assigned a Ford Edge that was clean and fully loaded. On the way to the hotel the Tire pressure light came on so the next morning I went back out to the location where the owner was at the counter and quickly exchanged my vehicle on under 5 minutes. When i got home, i realized that i left something in the car, so when i called they veifed my address and sent it off. You have to appreciate the smaller locations that push most of their efforts towards Customer service and maintaining their fleet to the highest standards.
Always a pleasure flying in to use Hertz. They take care of me, so I bring back a clean vehicle. Very generous.
No matter how dangerous North Dakota winter weather may get, make sure to return your vehicle. They will unfairly gouge you on the alternative return fee and then ignore you. Will never rent from Hertz or its family of companies again.
My husband rented a car in Sioux Falls, SD on 11/10/16 for one week. He was driving it to Minot, ND when he was in an accident, and unable to drive the car anymore. He went to the Hertz rental facility in Minot, ND on 11/11/16 where he was told he could pick up another rental car for the remainder of the week. The gentleman working was very rude and discriminatory. He refused to give my husband a car because he looked and acted fishy. After my husband requested his money back, the gentleman refused an turned to walk into the office. He stated that he could go to another company and rent a car or go to Bismarck, ND. After my husband called the Sioux Falls office to explain what happened (after the worker claimed he couldnt get anyone from Sioux Falls on the phone), the gentleman then said he would give him a car. After 2.5 hours, he was finally able to leave with a car. We were very happy with the service from Sioux Falls, SD but extremely dissatisfied with the way we were treated in Minot, ND. Even though they had our money, and the insurance was purchased so the car that was in the accident would be taken care of, the gentleman working was flat out refusing to be of any help. Im not saying to not use Hertz car rental....just dont give the Minot location your business.
Bryan (60+ years old) was really rude and racially bias... he lied when I asked for a car by saying he did not have ANY available cars without even looking at the computer system for verification. I had to walk about a mile to get some food and decided to call the Hertz customers service number to see if indeed there were cars available since the website showed availability as I told Bryan earlier. Well, the Hertz rep told me yes there are available cars at MOT location and I asked him to please verify directly with the facility. He spoke to Bryan and merge the call with me. He sounded very diferent and polite. I walked back to the MOT Hertz counter and Bryan was rude again and asked me if I had a problem... that took some nerve and added insult to injury. Keep in mind that I was never in any way rude or disrespectful to him in neither occasion. It was obvious to me then that he had a problem with me because Im latino. I suggest that if you are trying to get to the bottom of this as a company, you should send a latino employee undercover to evaluate Bryan customer service interaction/skills. Wont rent from MOT ever again!!!I think Bryan was the name, however he is an older male caucasian, with gray hair/mustache and glasses. Look at the rating 2.7 when you search the facility in google... that says a lot and is bad for business. There are similar reviews in here.
Called ahead to check on a ride. They said they close up 15 minutes after the last flight. THEY LIED!!! everyone was long gone and then the international little rinkadink airport actually closed. Then we had to spent $250 on a taxi to Williston.
