This place is a homeless shelter. I have toured the place. For folks who need it its a place to stay, get free food and they even have outlets by each bed to charge your cell phone. If you expect much more than what they offer its gonna cost money Contrary to what someone else said it does not cost a thing to stay. I believe you have to show up early afternoon or it will fill up.

It is a shelter, so you should not be expecting the world (even many people staying there do). The staff does its best to find a balance between law and freedom. It is horrible if you are a non-smoker; there is an indoor smoke room next to bathroom. Most people are there to sleep it off, or just not sleep on the train or street. Several obnoxious drunks on a nightly basis. The check-in times are a bit early, but they do serve a dinner, so it is worth it most nights. They also hand out a sandwich and snacks on your way out in the morning. Enough to call it breakfast, so you just gotta find lunch and possibly a snack throughout the day. I recommend finding another place to shower, but they have showers available. No laundry, no storage, no pillows.

These people are keeping people homeless by jeopardizing the jobs of working people who are actually trying to get financially. They dont care about the stability necessary to get on ones feet. The procedures are designed to keep you trapped in a cycle of streets to shelter and back again. There is no program or support for females who have a job, or who have proven that they are legitimately working towards self sufficiency. All this money was spent not to help those trying to help themselves but to support those who would rather do nothing for themselves and continue in the activities that have caused their present circumstances.

As noted (most) of the staff are worthless. But is safe in a safe location. No real restrictions except must have state ID. Overall a good concept--why dont they hire better staff?

Its a good shelter for you to rest your place and night and not have to worry. But some of the staff come to work with attitude and that reflects on the clients and they like to play favorites for some people and one staff member you wanna watch out for and is a hard ass / bully is Maurice.

Everyone in that shelter is super mean getting in someone elses life for no reason stealing from me and the staff or employees dont say nothing to them people but to deffend them and covered their stupid manias of being used to steal from others. Indirectly accusing and blaming you of things you havent done. The staff being rude. And if you talkback they start acting up like they have power over you! They are just gossipers! Getting in someones life.

This place allows organizations to harm individualls emotionally, mentally, and phisically. (For cash)and the employees dont have nametags or tell you who they are in an emergancy situation they have you escorted out by security when you request this information; So you cant defend yourself to turn them into secretary of state or some sort of ombudsmen or manager😭

My son stayed in the long term residential side of this horrible place. He became terribly ill and was texting people there for help... to no avail. He died. They didnt find him for TEN days. Cause of death was natural causes meaning they could not find the cause but most likely with intervention he would be here today. He was only 36. Our family is devastated, heartbroken and crushed.

Good shelter to be in but staff members dont do their jobs...a shelter is to help and serve, and offer to the homeless and they dont. not just veterans being treated poorly but all people are being treated poorly.
