I was a client at SVC about 10 yrs ago, & found them very helpful. Professional, kind, compassionate, I felt safe there. Several years later I became a volunteer there & had a great experience. Everyone was treated w/respect & worked well together.

I am so sorry to see the review above. I love the sexual violence center. The advocates, Volunteers and Staff that work there are victim centered and go above and beyond to help people in need. There is no obstacle to large when it come to helping their victims and families. I certainly believe the staff would not be as passionate without their executive director who has such compassion for not only the victims and their families but her staff as well. They treat each other as family and run like a well oiled caring machine! I would forever and always recommend the sexual violence center to anyone needing services even if it is not something they handle they will direct you in the right place.

Best volunteer experience I’ve had as well as the most unified and well run non profit I’ve worked with. Every thought is about how to best serve victims and survivors.

Whoa! Listened to an audio recording of the director brutally scapegoating SVC volunteers for her mismanagement and incompetence.There is also name-calling and victim blaming. Volunteers beware.
