I had both a dated and inoperative desk top and lap top computer that I was interested in recovering the data from. I made an appointment with the Geek Squad at Best Buy, which advertises it does such work. During the course of my appointment with them they said they couldn’t do it, but would send it out to a third-party vendor and it would take possibly months to get the work done. Best Buy did remove the hard drives from the two computers for me and I left in search of another vendor.Fortunately, I called SECUREDATA, Inc. and talked to Data Recovery Specialist Scott McMacken. Rob Anderson was a great help. I was sent the quote to fix my hard drive and Rob called shortly after and explained everything to me. I was a bit shocked by the price, BUT it is worth it knowing that these guys know what they are doing. I am not moving forward with Secure Data right now because of the price, but as soon as I have the funds for the fix, I will be contacting them to be the ones to fix it. I was glad to find Secure Data to handle my hard drive issues. I ended up having a read/write issue with one of my external hard drives and Secure Data Recovery was able to diagnose the problem quickly, efficiently, and move on with the recovery process, all the while providing updates every step of the way. My hard drive crashed, and my local repair shop couldnt repair. I was able to send it out for a second opinion to Secure Data Recovery Services free of charge. All I had to do was pay for return shipping back, which I think is more than fair. Although the damage was too extensive to be repaired, the whole process was super easy and fast. It sucks I wasnt able to get the data back but lesson learned about the importance of backups. Will be trying SDRS data backup services as suggested by Scott.

Had an accident with my dog pulling my laptop off my desk, breaking the usb/flash drive in half. Had all of my business data on it and had not backed it up. There it was, lying in a warm puddle of flavored coffee on the table aptly named for that drink. My Flashdrive. My career. My wife, in her haste on Sunday morning had spilled her coffee onto the table where my flash drive laid after being used the night before. As a school principal, I save everything on this flashdrive.
