I got my iPhone battery replaced so I wouldnt need a new phone. I had no appointment but the two guys there were so nice, clearly knowledgeable, super fast, And much cheaper and better and nicer than the iPhone store in every way. They fixed my problem in an hour.

I was one of Geek Squads first employees long ago when Robert was operating one old car and the squad was us plus whomever we knew whod work cheap, fast and accurately.While I am proud of the marketing and positioning work I did to help shape what is 100% Roberts baby, I soon left. Long before Best Buy stepped in with the giant check, I was gone.I felt his founding mission (24/7/365... We fix everything... Done right, priced fair, perfect or its free...) was being coopted by revenue modeling, hyper efficiency, cost containment and growth at the expense of quality. We hired tons of people, and 80% were clueless and not tech savvy.So I never used Geek Squad once it became a national deal... but I have often found myself needing certain tech and install services, but none of the small operations cut it.Gophermods suddenly appeared, and within a week two tech issues that have plagued me for months were fixed within the day. Pricing is fair, and the service is excellent. The quality of their work is outstanding!

Thoroughly impressed! This place is clean the techs know what they’re doing and they’re super friendly and helpful. I came in with a cracked screen they got me sorted out same day for a very competitive price. I came back six months later needing another screen repair and they fixed it same day covered under my warranty. No trying to trick you out of extra money or waste your time. I would go here again and again rather than dropping 1000 bucks on a new phone.

My Nintendo Switch LCD screen unfortunately shattered last month. After calling around, Gophermods had a reasonable price and was conveniently located near me. I paid when they ordered the part, but held onto my device until it arrived. A family member was able to bring it in (and later pick it up) when I was out of town. It did take a bit of time to complete the repair, but given the recent snow and it being over the holidays, it seemed reasonable.My switch looks brand new, and overall Im very happy with Gophermods.

I was at a loss when my PS3 disc drive stopped working. Luckily I found Gophermods! These guys know what theyre doing. Their prices are fair, their customer care and service as welcoming, and they offer a warranty on all products they work on. Note that the warranty is only exclusive to the specific work that theyve done, not to the product as a whole (like my PS3 disc drive). If your having trouble with your system, or any other electronic device, go to these guys.One negative about their communication: they give you a date their work will be done, but may not notify you that it is done. Be sure to have the date on hand and contact them in case this happens. I surmise that they get swamped at work and forget to send the email. A negative yes, but their work speaks for itself.

Submitted for an estimate for broken glass on the camera of a Galaxy S10+ and came back as $59 and theyd have to order a part. Went in and they had the parts needed and fixed it in 30 minutes and charged $29. Amazing.I would recommend that anyone with gadget issues check them out. I will be using them in the future.

This is long overdue, but I couldnt not tell about the amazing experience I had with this place (back in February). I originally came in for a battery change for a galaxy S6. During the repair some of the paint off of the decal came off during the separation of the phone from the base. This is not uncommon, which is why I brought it in to have it done in the first place. Without even saying a word, they started discussing how to go about the repairing the damaged parts during the battery replacement. Now this is despite me signing a waiver to repair with a possibility of these things happening. Truly it was only an aesthetic problem, but they went above and beyond to make it whole without me even requesting it. I came in for a battery, and walked out with a new capacitor and back panel, without even complaining or making a fuss about anything. This is how you treat a customer! I will always come back to this location for all of my cellphone repair needs.TL;DR - Stellar customer service; respect for your and your product. Super quick turnaround time. Employees do the right thing, store is managed by good people. If cellphones existed in the 40s, this would be the place my great grandpa would have gone to.

I brought a water-damaged MacBook Air to this Gophermods location. (This was my second hopeful stop after visiting the Genius Bar, which would not attempt to repair the computer for less than $749.00.) Within two business days, the staff were able to diagnose the problem, conduct some light maintenance, and return my laptop. The total bill was less than $100.The expertise and customer service here are top notch. In my case, not to sound too dramatic, they turned despair into elation! Highly recommend for hardware issues on your laptop (in addition to mobile devices).

Incredible customer service! I walked in to get my cracked screen serviced and they were honest about the estimated completion time (same-day service). Took a total of an hour and a half. While they were not my nearest option, Im glad I went just a little farther (2 mi) to get my phone serviced. Couldnt have been happier with my decision. I brought in my phone because it was not charging properly and they cleaned the charging port for free and now it works fine. I also notice they inform you of perks your credit card company may offer to help pay for repairs, and are an all round helpful nice team.

This location is very convenient for those working downtown MSP. They complete the repairs in a very timely fashion, and great customer service. They needed to order parts for my device, and John was prompt with communication on when the parts arrived and when I could get it for a fast repair. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

I had a great experience at Gophermods, the techs were friendly and knowledgeable and very timely. I went in to get a battery replaced and they got it done in about an hour. However, the reason they only get four stars from me is because the tech accidentally killed my phone by screwing into the motherboard. He missed by half a millimeter! And that sucks BUT, they’re replacing the phone and shipping it out to me in Chicago. Overall, I wish that I had my phone back today, but under the circumstances I’m very impressed with the reaction and finesse they used to fix the mistake. Thanks Gophermods!

I thought I would need my power port worked on, they were able to clean it out for me on the spot and make it work. Saved me $$ and delivered excellent service.

Had a stuck screw in my motherboard that was beginning to become stripped. As a part of their diagnostic service, they were able to cleanly remove the screw and install a new one. Extremely satisfied with the service and turnaround time.

With all the positive reviews on here, it was disappointing to me how the service went. I brought in my PS4 Pro to be fixed, specifically telling the guy working their that it kept shorting out, even when I had rebuilt the database. I get an email a week later saying it’s fixed, and within 30 seconds of me turning it on it shorts out again. The guy told me they rebuilt the database and it would be fine before it left, but he clearly didn’t even listen to what I said the issue was in the first place. Hopefully things will change the 2nd go around, as I brought it back to see if they would actually fix it this time.

Overpriced and cheap materials, I broke the screen on my phone recently and took it in to get repaired not only did it take them a week to repair but the screen they used wasnt the right color and was two plane glass instead of three plane. dont go to gopher mods!

I had a great experience with GopherMods for my laptop issue. A lot of water was spilled directly on my Macbook Pro, and they immediately took it in, opened it, disconnected critical parts of the system and started drying it. The laptop still has some issues due to the severity of the spill, but without their quick action it would have been completely unsalvageable . Casey was great, and let me pick it up on a weekend outside normal business hours!
