Nicholas is incredible! I have been looking for someone to cut my hair right for years and finally found someone!!! Highly recommend anyone with short hair come in and see him. He also gave me a shampoo and I couldn’t be more pleased. I’ll be back in two weeks!

I used to love this place, but the quality of my haircuts has been dropping over the past two years. Last week I gave them a shot and it turns out they’re COVID-deniers. Apparently, this place believes that masking up for public health is a hoax.Don’t bother here anymore. Used to be great but has descended into madness and Great Clips quality work. Such a shame.

Full disclosure: I havent been in since before lockdown. I wont be back.Edit: I went in as soon as they opened on a Saturday for a beard trim and haircut. I couldnt make an appointment at the time (I dont think they had that until the pandemic). It took two hours. WHAT? The barber who was cutting my hair (Kim) answered their phone 3 times, left to talk to people in the waiting room, and generally made me feel like I didnt matter & she cared more about others than the person sitting in front of you.Squared Up Hair, which is right down the street, is much better.

Always an awesome experience. Jesse is the person I always book appointments with but everyone here seems talented. Prices are reasonable for the great service and the Google appointment system works great. No calls needed.

I have been a patron of this place for about a year and I have been going to Jesse (one of the barbers) for a few years now. I know this place is operated and ran by some pretty awesome people who care a lot about their own safety as well as their patrons’ safety! They have gone to great lengths to ensure that proper procedures are being put in place in order to practice safe distancing and procedures. While I know the staff is wearing face coverings and now face shields, I fully believe that the staff here are doing everything they can to promote the safest environment possible. I will continue to patron this establishment due to the level of professionalism and service I have received. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I have been a long time customer of the Barber Sharp and it pains me to write this review. At this time, I would not recommend anyone utilize their services. The barber I was working with explicitly told me that he was actively trying to get COVID-19. As I was sitting in his chair. With his face eight inches from mine. I almost got up and left right there. I cant in good conscious bring myself to patronize a business whose staff is this reckless and has so little regard for their customers safety. Ill be taking my money elsewhere from now on. I understand this may have been an off-hand comment and maybe I took it our of context, but it just seemed so reckless to say that to a customer sitting in your chair. I have had good luck with the Barber Sharp in all my past experiences, but this crossed the line for me.

I have been a regular customer for this shop for well over a year and because of their professionalism and quality of work I will always come back and be a client of Jesse’s. Even with the pandemic going on the shop has made me feel that it is a comfortable and safe environment that I can enter and get a fresh cut. I believe the shop, it’s owner and barbers have taken the necessary precautions to sanitize their work space and tools. Safety is number 1 and I can tell The Barber Sharp takes this very seriously!

I have been getting my hair and my sons hair cut here for some time now, and as recent as 2 weeks ago. Jesse has never disappointed and you can tell that this shop genuinely cares about and knows their clients. I drive over 45 minutes to get it cut here. The shop is incredibly clean, well maintained, and very welcoming. They are most certainly a customer first business! I will not get it cut anywhere else!

I’ve loved getting my hair cut here for a while. Steph does a superb job and I think the price is super fair. But the shop is not enforcing mask use among its patrons nor are they social distancing. They have customers sitting right next to each other and are acting in direct violation of public health rules in the city of Minneapolis.

Jesse is the best barber in the Twin Cities, period. I wont go to anyone else. The Barber Sharp itself is kept very clean and and I never have to worry about my health or safety. My only recommendation is that you keep doing what youre doing and I will keep coming back.

The Barber Sharp is NOT taking the COVID-19 precautions it claims to take.When I went in today, not only was my barber maskless until I sat down in the chair, but the OWNER of the shop was cutting hair in the chair next to mine without a mask. There were two customers in the area that also werent masked. While I get that theres technically an exception to the rules for when youre getting your beard trimmed, NEITHER of these customers had beards to trim and shouldnt have been maskless, and (above all) the owner of the shop has no excuse to be cutting hair without a mask. Ive gone to the Barber Sharp to get my hair cut for almost 2 years, but Im not going back again after this.

This shop is so great! I get waxing services from Steph and will never go anywhere else. Her and all the other barbers are smiling and welcoming and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Steph is professional, always on time and provides an excellent service. They always do a great job on my hair and beard. Cozy kind of joint, personable barbers who always offer you a beer while you wait. Call ahead if youre in a rush, I usually wait about 10-15 minutes. Sometimes longer if its busy, sometimes theres no wait at all. Call ahead if youre on a schedule, but honestly I like this place because its more of a neighborhood experience. Its an errand I enjoy. Plus I always come out looking fresh and dapper for a reasonable price.

I was there to get a shave for the first time in my life and wasn’t happy with the service, not sure if it was just this person (Jason), think he had a bad day. He was kind of in a hurry, had a smoked breath, uneven shave and mainly I had minor cuts on chin.Did not have good experience on my first shave and I will not forget it. Had a second thought if going for a haircut after 3 weeks but I change my mind ✌🏻I believe other members are good and the vibe is sweet.

Moved to Minneapolis from Baltimore, and was looking for a new barber. Searched for about a year until I found this place... finally found an awesome barber in Minneapolis!

Walk in service was great. Visited here on my way to an appointment and they got me in for a haircut+beard trim right away. The barber was courteous and attentive. Shaved a new mohawk in no time and did a pretty good job in my opinion. Definitely check this place out. They take card too which is less common that youd think at barber shops.

Reading the reviews I was very excited to go here for the first time but to be honest Im very disappointed with the quality of my haircut. My barber Jason seemed very rushed and didnt even really talk to me about what I wanted. Yea I got it. I wanted to maintain the length of my hair on top but he ended up cutting two inches off. Worst was he didnt even have a mirror so I didnt get to see the damage until the end. I really hoped this would be my new go to cause the vibe was super cool. Worst cut Ive ever gotten.Even worse was on the website it said I could get a shampoo. Im hundred percent okay with paying extra. When I asked all I got was oh yea I dont do that, I can run some water on your hair if ya want

Ive been going since they reopened due to Covid (had to trim that quarantine beard) and Jesse did a FANTASTIC job both times, hes both professional and keeps his area as clean as can be.I plan on making this a biweekly thing, and would recommend this place in a heartbeat.And contrary to what Ive read posted below, all the staff were wearing masks, as well as the customers, with the exception if they, like me, were getting a beard trim.Edit: Nic is a sweetheart and awesome as well. Jessie wasnt available the day I needed a trim, but Nic was and he was fabulous.

Ive just returned from The Barber Sharp and I think they did a great job. A quality cut is a necessity; a Nick (who evidently just started there after working as a master barber somewhere in St. Paul for a number of years) was diligent in delivering a great cut. It was thorough and representative of his passion. I appreciate that he was efficient, but didnt hurry. He listened well at the beginning. Tapered the sides where the hair grows quicker. Did a hot foam shave at the edges at the end. The beer was pretty neat; the environment is great - I like that its a barber shop for men and has some character. I will be going back.

I was a loyal customer here for years and could no longer handle the change of barbers constantly and lack of good haircuts. My last 2 visits I got my haircut by the gray haired lady in the back corner, big mistake. Both times I had to go to cost cutters to get it fixed. Now I just go to cost cutters and never have to wait an hour and they razor shave the neck also!!!!

1st trim n cut had here was spectacular, but the 2nd time the guy seemed very new to the shop and the job. Did not make me trust that he could help me. Trimmed my burns n cheeks n I got out before he could do any real damage. Thought I’d found myself a solid barbershop. Don’t know if I should go again though.

I had one fantastic hair cut, one bad hair cut, and the worst hair cut of my life here. It all depends on which barber you get. The two bad cuts, separate barbers completely ignored what I told them and just chopped my hair off. I usually get a cut every 2 weeks, after the horrible cut, I didn’t go back for 5. The owner offered to fix it, but she didn’t know how to do a fade and sent me home with no changes. Really want to like this place but it needs to get its act together.

Overall, I have always enjoyed the quality of my haircut. I can confidently Ive never walked out and been disappointed with how I looked. But if you have absolutely nothing to do and can afford to wait for - in my experience - an hour or more (thats with two people in front of you), I would recommend elsewhere. I drive a considerable distance to come here and sadly, its just not worth my time anymore. I am just tired of having to wait for what I believe are unacceptable amounts of time. There has to be a balance between quality and throughput.

Ive been going to the Barber Sharp for almost four years now and I absolutely love it. Every barber there does an excellent job so Im never worried which one I get - the location is great and the decor is wonderful. The only downside is the wait can be a little bit long at times but if you check the camera on their website before you head over you can sort of estimate how long it will be. Overall, I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Just moved into the area and need a hair cut bad. I searched barber near me. The barber shop was down the road. I walked into a cool vintage up beat barber shop. I was greated right away! The staff are cool and give off a good vibe for a nice atmosphere. I walked in not knowing what to expect. Then left with not only a great hair cut, But many recommendations. I will keep going back for future hair cuts. The price is great and well worth any wait! Thats a great NE BARBER SHOP!

Kelly and her staff have built up quite a spot here in Northeast. Anyone I end up going to is knowledgeable and makes sure my hair and beard looks great before I leave. Kelly also sells a beard oil thats just fantastic with a variety of scents. I recommend the Ryder style, it smells best to me.

Wanted to go to a barber as Ive been going to stylists for years and miss the days when a guy could get a nice, clean, well groomed cut. I was so very happy to stumble upon the reviews for this place. The atmosphere is laid back, just like I like it. It was clean, comfortable and the staff is great. Very reasonably priced, especially for the service you receive and the attention to detail. Parking was right in front of the storefront and was free (in the city...free on street parking is a dream). Very conveniently located as well. This is my new go-to for cuts, period.

This one star review needs a caveat.The first time I got my haircut here it was one of the best barber experiences Ive ever had. The barber (I believe his name is Dave) was experienced, did an amazing job and was fun to talk to.I returned, hoping for a similar experience.Heres why my review is one star:I had a new barber. He seemed befuddled by my requested hair style (which is the standard short on the side long on top) and said that it wouldnt work.His first move was to take a number 8 razor right down the middle of my head. The damage had been done. He proceeded to give me the same haircut he himself had. Im not sure if he is vain, or only able to give one haircut.He did not asses my head at all, my hairline is receding and this barber decided to give me a haircut that would accentuate this as much as possible (thanks, man). And he left the back to bulky. I wish I hadnt payed, but I was in a state of mild shock and just sorta left.TL;DR - go, but just for the love of God, make sure you ask for Dave.

Highly recommend for a reasonably priced cut.Quick addendum: they say theyre open until 7:00 PM on their website. They are not - theyre open until 6:15, and then they draw a line on their sign-in and tell you they cannot accommodate you. No matter what. I still love getting my hair cut here, just know that if youre someone who doesnt get home from work before 6, you basically have to go here on the weekend.

I just went to the Barber Sharp on a whim after none of the other places I called answered their phones. I saw the equality sticker in their window and decided to give it a shot. Im a queer female with a strange haircut, so I have a difficult time finding a stylist I can trust. The barber had absolutely no trouble cutting my hair, and the shop was inviting. I found this place about 4 years possibly 5 after the place i went to closed! And have only gone another place once and regretted it immediately! I now know why I go here, and cant even really use the expression thats why I pay more here. Up until now they were only 11 to 12 dollars depending on paying method and may be more around 14? Which is still great and I end up being able to give the extra buck or two that I save to the barber. Good business aspect! Keeping the prices lower and in return that goes to the employees, having them happier to please the customer and them coming back for repeat business and word of mouth obviously is good for the entire place. I always recommend you guys! Thanks.!
