I was lucky to find Barbers On Bryant this week and received a wonderful haircut from Gabe. He was patient and kind during the entire visit and it was obvious that he puts great care into each haircut. I started going to Gabe for haircuts when I lived within walking distance, but now that I moved 30 minutes away, I still take the time to drive out for a haircut. Very happy with my haircuts. Hes a very easy person to talk to, and super convenient with online appointments and takes credit cards. Definitely recommend!

I came here because of the barber Gabe! When I walked into his new shop it instantly felt like a professional place. I had scheduled online and was attended right on time - they have a neat automated text reminder.Gabe kept his classic 19$ haircut price- and the awesome convince of being able to pay with card.

Barbers On Bryant is a great barbershop. Both owners, Brian Preston and Audie Howe are consummate professionals. Brian has been cutting my hair for the past 12 years. He still asks me how I would like my hair every time I visit and has given me great suggestions over the years. I also have many friends that go to Brian and Audie. I get the impression that much of their clientele comes from word of mouth. I am certain that is because are both that good at what they do. Their pricing is very reasonable and there is plenty of free on and off street parking. Their barbershop has a contemporary, high ceiling feel and is located in the Uptown Wellness Center. It is just a 1/2 block north of Lake Street on Bryant Ave in the Uptown area of Minneapolis.

Gabe - good haircut. Seriously bad customer service. Didnt acknowledge me when I walked in (with advance online appointment). He was finishing up another customer. After he cleaned up his chair after the previous haircut he asked me to come over. He texted on his phone for a couple minutes. Then he went to the back room and never said anything. When he asked me what I wanted I told him that I would like what he did last time. He looked exasperated. I am very busy, how can I remember every haircut?. I told him the previous month he asked me and I said short on the sides and a little longer on top. Thats what a haircut is he said. God! Is he condescending! Then he told me that he was going to refuse cutting my hair. He just didnt feel comfortable. I asked him again to cut it. I am going on vacation tomorrow. He agreed but said it was the last time he would cut my hair and not to come back. Haha. He fired me.If you want a haircut with major attitude, Gabes your guy. Frankly, no one needs to be abused by anyone. Hes not worth the aggravation.

I’ve gotten my hair cut here twice by Gabe. One thing people should know is that Gabe prefers people to schedule appointments online. I didn’t get the memo and that seemed to stir up some tension with him that made my second haircut a bit awkward. What I like about this place is that its really affordable.For the two times I’ve had Gabe, I asked him to give me the same haircut; tapered sides and a little off the top. I had two very different haircuts. The first one I REALLY liked and I returned because of it. The second haircut wasn’t really a taper at all. I asked him to take half an inch off the top but he proceeded to cut my fringes, or the front of my hair, and left the back of my hair untouched. Good barbers are VERY careful when it comes to trimming the fringes. The result was a very awkward look that I try my hardest to cover up with blow drying and product. The only thing I could somewhat appreciate were the sides.When it comes to blending, Gabe prefers to free-hand my hair with the small electric trimmer. It gets the job done but it’s not neat and it gives off the air that he is just winging it. You can achieve a more consistent result with a pair of thinning shears and comb. For BOTH haircuts he forgot to trim little patches of hair that were around my right ear.Gabe isn’t afraid to tell you he is a busy man and that made me feel dispensable. Perhaps I got it wrong-- there are so many people who give such high ratings for him. My bottom line is you dont know what youre exactly going to get when you get your hair cut by him. It is cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Gabe was very polite and great at conversation. Unfortunately, the haircut provided was incomplete and uneven. As he concluded the haircut, I was able to quickly identify a batch of uneven hair to attend to, he fixed it but it appeared he didnt have time to address the remaining areas. It may have been due to his pace and the amount of individuals he sched per hour. I ended up having to finish trimming my hair myself at home. I will not be returning unfortunately

Barbers on Bryant is a stand-up shop. Gabe is younger and specializes in tight, shorter cuts. I dont know the other barber, Aude, but hes much more experienced I would assume (hes 70ish). I didnt get exactly what I asked for, so I knocked a star off. But it is cheap, quick, and setting up appts online or by calling was a breeze.Pro-tip: have a picture or know exactly what you want - Gabe wasnt exactly able to pull off my haircut from an abstract idea.

They advertise online Appointments preferred, walk-ins welcome, so I was like Hey, let me give them a call and make an appointment. Called the number they advertise online on a couple weeks ago on Tuesday, nobody picked up. Called again later that day and left a voicemail with my number. After a week of not hearing back tried calling them again, nothing. On Friday afternoon, I happened to be in Uptown and remembered they advertised walk-ins welcome. I drop by and see Gabe and Aude sitting around, no customers at the shop. Gabe asks if I have an appointment. I say I dont but wanted to check if I can get a haircut. He tells me they DONT do walk-ins (no apologies for the wrong information on the website mind you). I tell him I tried to make an appointment, left a voicemail etc. They still didnt want to offer me service. Overall, I found Gabes attitude unfriendly and condescending. Aude on the other hand was just sitting there listening. I left him a voice mail, he didnt apologize, didnt even say a word. My experience was so bad, it felt surreal.
