Been a member for 2 years and Im quite happy with this gym. If youre looking for a no frills place to lift weights and do cardio, this is it. 24/7 access, affordable prices, and friendly members. The owner is also really attentive and communicative, which I definitely appreciate.

Theres a variety of equipment to use and the place is upbeat and tremendous to workout in. If youre visiting or havent found a gym to workout at, come here immediately.

I have been a member of this gym before the pandemic started and I was happy with the gym...but after I got back this year 2020 I found much better the gym. The owner had good improvements especially for the calisthenic people..Good job I really like this gym

So far so good! Started a 6 month plan, machines all work. People in the gym and are nice. 24 hours so it works with my schedule. Also, you can hit a giant tire with a sledge hammer. Thats dope.

Its inexpensive, close by, has Everything you need. Some of the elliptical machines dont have working heart rate sensors. But its Open 24 hours!

Dirty gym, signed up for a 3 month, used it for 2 days and never went back. They must rely on the good old Irish honor system and have the customers clean up the machines for them. I wanted my contract canceled and they end up charging me for another month. Management is trash, If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Great gym! Friendly staff and members. John, the owner is very approachable and addresses concerns in a timely manner. I have been a member for many years and would recommend this gym to anyone looking to get in shape. Equipment is repaired or replaced quickly and renovations are completed with minimal disruption. My only complaint is, it can get crowded. What gym doesn’t?

I normally love this gym but the owner has displayed a lack of concern over the messiness/dirtiness of other members, not confronting them to discuss behavior despite numerous complaints, unlikely that ill return in the future

Best gym in the state by far. I body build, been to a lot of gyms, seen it all. This is hands down the best one. 24 hours, amazing, the staff, amazing. John the owner takes the time to sit down and talk about your personal goals, and you know what? He follows through. The trainers and staff care about every gym goer new to experienced. If you compete, or just want a change, this is the gym to be. Thanks guys!

Probably the nicest gym I’ve been to in a while for less than 30$. Staff is great and everyone is very friendly. Has a wide variety of equipment and a decent amount of functional fitness stuff. All really nice quality especially the bars. Pretty sure they’re rogue but definitely nice.

An excellent gym. The owners update and purchase new equipment frequently, and the staff is friendly and helpful. One of the nicest 24/7 gyms youll get at the price.

Quality place, the owner who Ive not met but been in communication with seems honest and reliable and like he really cares about his customer base. Dropped the rating a star for their male showers, the shower heads have buildup. Otherwise this place is too legit to quit. There are other gyms closer to home and cheaper but I make the drive for this one, quality equipment, clean gym, and an owner/manager who cares about YOU the client vs some big corporation trying to get all your money. Bravo! Now if I could just move to Bayview and be closer to home. Thanks, John!

Very top notch local gym with a great local community, and a very respectable owner as well, Ive been going here for about a year and 5 months, no inconvenient issues to mention. Great variety of equipment, great location, good energy in the gym for someone like myself who likes to mind their own business.

GREAT gym! Good for anything from cardio to powerlifting. The owner is amazing and takes member feedback in to consideration and the employee is good at answering questions and handling new members. Great gym, great place to work out!

Great gym to workout friendly people here all the time. When o first started coming it felt intimidating but it was just in my head nobody was judging me. One of MANY gyms in the Bay View area.

Great facility. Small but has everything you need and a variety of equipment. Can be a little busy.

Bayview Fitness laissez faire attitude to gym operations means the place is a chaotic mess with little enforcement of any rules or standards. Machines are left broken for months at a time, and members will consistently not clean machines or leave weights dangerously strewn upon the floor. Staff that are there seem more interested in getting their own workout in rather than making sure any rules are being followed. The gym also has a terrible card reader that you use to enter which you need to use multiple times to work and breaks on occasion. The owner seems to defer responsibility on all matters as if it could ever be his job to maintain his own business. I wanted to like this place as it is a local small business, but I would not recommend it.

I hate to have to give this gym such a poor review because the gym itself is great not over packed like most gyms can get and the staff was great. My husband and I have gone to Bay View Fitness for a little less than a year. We have been to other gyms previously and were finally happy we found one we really liked. We also worked with a Trainer (Andrea) who was amazing and helped up meet our goal prior to our wedding. We enjoyed working with her so much we stuck with her even after the wedding. We were sad when we had to leave both the gym and Andrea in November because I got a new job and were moving to Madison. On our last day at the gym we followed up with the front desk as to when our membership was expiring as we knew it was coming up soon (we had also been told when we signed up that we could cancel at any time if we were to move which was another reason we really liked the place). As we thought our membership was ending at the end of the month, but to our surprise we would have to stop in to cancel because even though we had only signed a 6 month membership or whatever the monthly term was that we would then be automatically rolled into monthly when of course signing up for more at a time give you a cheaper rate. That being said it was not an issue when we got the email that our membership was expiring my husband made sure to stop by on one of the days he commuted back to Milwaukee for work and fill out the cancellation form. We didnt put any more thought to the matter until I noticed a balance on our credit card with two charges from Bay View Fitness for December and January. My husband immediately called and spoke with the front desk who informed him he would have to speak with the owner John regarding this. When my husband was finally able to get in touch with John, John argued the fact that lots of people have gym member ships who never use them and that he did not have a cancellation slip for our account. The conclusion was that John was going to look for the slip and get back to my husband who in the mean time went back to the gym to fill out another form and took a picture this time to ensure we had proof since a copy was not given the first time around. And wouldnt you know the guy at the front desk tells my husband oh yeah I remember..Im pretty sure you filled one of these out already. My husband asked the he follow up with John and let him know that he had been in to fill one out previously but no word has been heard from John since and my husband has called several time and left several voicemails with no response. Needless to say we will now be going to the credit card company to dispute these charges. Sad such a great experience had to turn out so bad. Advice to anyone currently going to Bay View Fitness or thinking about joining be aware and watch your bills as John may be trying to screw you over too!
