I usually get frightful when I go to a new nail salon, especially since there are so many and I just moved here. Prices are affordable, they have excellent customer service attitude and made me feel welcomed and beautiful😌💕💅The women that did my nails was excellent with detail and made sure they were perfect 👌 will be going back soon😊

Lena has been doing my manicures and pedicures for a few years now, and I couldnt be more satisfied. She remembers how I like my nails done, and is willing to try the small changes I request. Ive referred this salon to friends, and hope to use their services for a long time into the future.

It was my first time going to groovy nails. She did an amazing job on my French tip. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because when I first got there she immediately went to glue on the nails without having me soak my hands and pushing my cuticles back. I will go to this place again because they did a really good job on my nails, but I thought for the price I paid that it would be a little more relaxing.

I went to Groovy Nails today, and I must say I had an AWESOME experience. The staff is super nice, and they worked with me to find the color that I wanted. I did hombre manicure, gel pedicure, and waxed my eyebrows. I must say they really do listen to what you say, they did an amazing job. They took the time and they did not hurry. Prices are good too.

I really enjoyed getting a pedicure at Groovy Nails and I was really impressed with how clean and professional they were. Daisy did such a good job making my nails look perfect! My sister in law had a manicure and was really happy with the results! We can’t wait to go back!

About 2 weeks ago or so I walked in needing help with cuticle it was in bad shape and Daisy was very kind to help me right away with good deals they’re all very knowledgeable they’re in doing nails and I went back there already twice.Update: 2/2021Well for a while I couldn’t afford to do my nails so I did mostly my nails and I just went back to Daisy and she was very kind to do my nails again so nice I’m very happy I’m going back and great prices as well she did designs as well because my birthday‘s coming up😃🎁

This is the first time I’ve gotten acrylic nails and I’ll admit I was scared. Other people who have gotten acrylics would tell me that they hurt after they’re off and that your natural nails aren’t they same after that they don’t usually last long. I got mine done back in November 22 for my cousins quince party and throughout the whole day I was praying that they wouldn’t break and they didn’t. As the eldest member of my family I do a lot of chores with my mom but never once did the break until today and I’ll just say that my friends were really impressed that they lasted this long because they say that there’s fall off after two or three weeks of having them on. I will go again and I’ll just say they are really nice and really gentle.

I wish i could post pictures but i asked for a full set of nails, showed them the picture, and they did the color, shape, and design wrong. they don’t look awful but they don’t look anything like the reference photo. 2/10, would not recommend.

I stopped at this place while running errands. A lady came from upstairs to do my eyebrows. She didnt say anything to me but go to the back. I sat in a regular office chair with no recline. Then she called someone and was on the phone for 70% of the time. She barely even waxed my eyebrows and mostly tweezed them. When I told her it doesnt look like my eyebrows were done by a professional because they were uneven and there wasnt a clean line per the usual look whenever you get your eyebrows waxed. She got an attituded so then I asked for a discount. The owner, Daisy, said she would fix them. She did make them even but overall it was a poor experience. I shouldve know when the told me to sit in an office chair to just turn around. Fair warning, avoid this place for eyebrows if at all possible.

This place is the best around! I moved here, went to several places and finally found the right one. They do a fantastic job every time on my nails and toes. Very friendly and accommodating. Definitely give them a try!!! I wont go any where else.

The pedicures here are pretty good, but the girl who did my manicure did not clean the station from the last occupant. There were pieces of other peoples dead skin stuck inside the cuticle scissors before she used them on me, everything was used on the last person and not cleaned at all. I had no lotion or oils applied whatsoever, just filing and nail lacquer.

I love this place!! I have been to quite a few places across salt lake valley and this is by far the best! They are so nice! They do such a good job! Its always quick but they make sure to do a great job! They make suggestions and do their best to make your nails turn out how youre hoping! Reasonably priced too!!!! the nails last 3 plus weeks. Love love love this place!! Also you dont have to ask for any specific person all of them do a great job!

Most of the workers I’ve had have done an excellent job. Only once or twice have my nails chipped, but granted, I am very active. But overall, they make my nails quite nice every 3 weeks. Fan!

Groovy Nails is completely professional and has the best technicians around for pedicures. You pick your nail polish, soak your feet, and sit in a lovely massage chair and let them do the work they do best. I always walk out of there satisfied and feeling relaxed. I highly recommend Groovy Nails.

I am from out of town but come to the area often. I see why this salon is rated high. I was a walk in and Kyle did my nails and toes. He did a great job. Very talkative but not overly. Great massage on my legs during the pedicure. He used some of the pressure points in my feet and they felt so much better afterwards. Will definitely come back!

Loan is amazing! I have live in Salt lake city for the last 9 years and struggle to find a quality nail tech. The nails are even, not with bumps like in other salons, and they last long. They are friendly like other cultures they like to talk in their language, some people feel unconfortable with this. I personally see it normal since I speak other languages as well. I totally recommend Loan and Kyle. Is a little pricy compare with other salons, but I prefer to drive an hour and get my nails done there than other places close by home and that ate not quality at all.

I always go here! my nails are always perfect, they are very fast but very precise. The price is fair and I have never had a bad experience. Even if I just walk in they recognize me and I get taken care of under 10 minutes. They are so nice and VERY funny!I always refer people here!

My original set of nails were great. I wish I knew the woman’s name but I don’t remember. This time I went to get a fill and made an appointment. I got there early and they were already busy. The woman I had start my nails did not know what she was doing and another nail technician had to stop her so she could do them instead. She did my nails in about 30 minutes obviously rushing because they were so busy and I had been there over an hour. I get home and my nails look terrible. They are so thick and they were so square (after I asked her to round the corners) I had to go home and file them down. If I can’t get them to fix it I won’t be coming back!

Went in today and they got me right in, were very friendly and did a fantastic job (full set acrylics with gel topcoat). My nails look fab and feel good and secure. The gal at the table next to mine has been going here since 2002! I agree, Groovys has a return customer for sure!

I was quoted $30 for coffin nails when we were finished it turned to $47.50 I did something basic so I didn’t understand why almost $50 for a full set with gel polish. I don’t think I’ll be going back 6 month ago they used to charge $30 for the same thing.

1 star is too much. Awful prices theres nowhere when you walk in you can see the prices and when I got my nails done there they cracked within 3 days. They were too rough with my hands and when I try to talk and make conversation they shut me down immediately its very heavy and scary environment. Everyone looks angry youre mad at something.

They were ok I have been to better salons. They could be a little more friendly. Probably wont go back.

They need to get A receptionist because the lady that was trying to do my nails had so many phone calls and she will get frustrated and Will throw her scheduling book on my hand and her phone also I made An appointment at 10:30 AM I didn’t get out of there till 12 because she kept lagging on me and my nails are ugly because she didn’t take the time to focus on me

I had a nail appointment on a SAT. afternoon and desperately needed a fill. I made the appt. with the lady co-owner, but when I got there I found out she was on vacation. This has happened to me twice now they just figure someone else can do it. However, I have found that their other nail techs are very inept and poorly trained and I will not go to this salon again!!!

The girl that did my nails was very good the only thing is is that she made my nails too thin by the time I was done. I figured maybe they would still lost even though they were thin so I let it go. The very next day I broke 1 nail ans I had to go back and have them fix it at the same time I asked if they could make them a little thicker and they said NO, then she changed her mind and said yes but she would have to charge me for a fill price!! But that is ridiculous because ONLY two days before that I had just gotten a fill!! So I said never mind and left, its unfortunate!!!

Ive come here a few times and not had a great experience, but also not bad, until a few weeks ago. I went in with nails that were grown out, just needing a fill. It was a walk in, so I was prepared to wait a bit for my turn. I waited almost 3 hours. When I sat down finally I asked for the same shape (almond) just shorter and in a different color. The tech was adamant that wouldnt be possible, which i didnt understand at the time, but i dont think she was actually listening to me, because she ended up doing the same shape. I asked a few times for the length to be shortened, and she ignored me. It felt like she didnt want to be there and didnt care about the quality she was doing. They were lumpy and didnt have enough coats of polish on some nails so they were almost see through. I ended up going home and filing them down myself and repainting them. Ive had better in the past from the same salon, but I will not be going back.

For starters, I called in & asked how much the set I wanted would cost, I was quoted $28. I went in & left paying $45! Plus a tip! My nails are horrible. They’re all misshapened, the paint job is completely uneven, & she didn’t even file them down on the top so they’re all bumpy. Not to mention, about 6 hours later I went to close the window in my home & two broke off! Over the last 4 days 2 more have fallen off doing small things that I have been doing with acrylics for years.So so so disappointed. Never going back or recommending.

I would like to address Natalie Cooks, review of our salon. Natalie came into the shop and stated that she had lost her childs ipad a week ago, which was the last time she had visited us. I asked all our employees and customers during her visit, but no one ever saw her ipad, We tried our best to help her, agreeing to put a flyer for more than a week at the front register, but were unsuccessful. I want to assure our customers that Natalie Cooks review is not representative of our salon. Weve had customers leave many valuables, such as wedding rings, phones, and credit cards and theyve always been returned to their rightful owner. Thank you to all our current and future customers.

I came it to get my nails done for my wedding and we humiliated and embarrassed by the nail techs, she was aggressive and began talking negatvely about me to her co-worker ( I had google translate listen when I had my suspicions ) I was completely embarrassed and was crying while getting my nails done, the the manager had me come to him and he works on them for a minute until he had another customer then passed me over to a empty seat and said he would do the color once I decided but wanted to start on someone else. So I sat there while others were taken care of first even though I was there first and had an appointment when I came! It was awful, they say a gel fill is 20, it is listed in their book but then charge you 35 When you get to the front plus 5 for tips vs full color, plus 7 for a design, plus 5 for a second color plus 2 dollars per nail that broke and if you have old polish on them or old gel its 5 dollars to remove it!!!! Awful 100% awful then after all was said and done that my nails were not done properly and the tips were not covered and bubbly from the gel and he grabbed my wrist and tried to pulled me over to other customers and ask them if they thought it was a perfect nail job!!! Other Customer!!! Completely embarrassing and unprofessional . Do not go there. I am also reporting them to the board for improper application and services.

I used to get my nails done here until my son left our i pad at the salon. I realized it was gone and went there and they told me they didnt have it. I later took a sign in for them to post and went back and the sign for the lost I pad was not posted. This ipad was my daughter who has special needs and I told them I needed to get it back. The owner claimed a child might have taken it. What parent is going to let their child leave the salon with an ipad. And we were the only people in the salon that day. Very dishonest people, and Im sure there is a better way of getting an ipad that taking from a child that can not talk. The fact that they didnt put up my lost ipad sign and had a million excuses just shows me that one of the employees took it.

Been to other salons and had many bad experiences, they would cut me with the files and would tell me to quit tensing up my right ring finger and shake it vigorously until I could get out past the pain that my finger was broken a few years ago and didnt have much flexibility in it anymore. When I went to Groovy for a mani & pedi, they were extremely friendly no issues at all. During my pedi I spoke to a young lady, she asked me questions to get to know me and we shared a few laughs too. After my pedi I nervously sat down and hoped they wouldnt shake my finger or be rude, the gentleman who did my nails asked me to try and relax my finger but didnt do anything, as I told him it had no flexibility his response was a very caring one. He asked me if moving it a certain way hurt as he didnt want to accidentally hurt me and I instructed which ways were ok and had no issue. Time after time even with a year passing by I would go in and felt very welcomed and if that young lady was there she would pick up where we left off in conversation last time. Its very nice and relaxing to go somewhere where they are really patient and understanding of your wants and needs. :)

My first visit to Groovy Nails was FIVE years ago as a frantic dissatisfied customer of another salon looking for a miracle without the time for one! I had been to Salon X and asked for a very simple set of acrylics done and shaped a very simple way...they mucked it up so badly and couldnt fix it I left in tears. Since I was literally on my way to my Bridals photo shoot, I was panicked and saw Groovy Nails as I was speeding down the road in tears.When I walked in the door and simply said Someone please help me and showed them my hands with tears streaming down my face, they ALL jumped to duty. Kyle (owner) was orchestrating the teamwork and between Dieu and the rest of the team - even with a busy salon, had me up and running with a brand new pair of beautiful hands that were picture worthy.Ive been going to them even since...my husband, step-son and even my granddaughter absolutely love the experiences we have and the value for the treatment we receive is far above anything else around. We live in Davis County and yes, we drive down to Midvale for this. I tried a lower priced place in the Walmart in Centerville, but they have a staff member that is so uncomfortably rude and disrespectful, Ill never go back.Groovy Nails treats you like family and welcomes you as a long lost friend and once youve been there a few times, you ARE family.

Staff was really rude. The acrylic nails didnt look good and the staff got angry when I told them. They ended up damaging my natural nails.

Staff was very rude to our group. We had appointments, but when we got there, we were told there would be a 45 minute wait, even though we were ten minutes early. When they finally called our names and had us pick out colors, 3 girls walked in and they started working on those girls instead. 2 hours later, they finally started on us. It was ridiculous.
