We were in town for a wedding and reception and needed a quick alteration of a pants for my husbands suit. I called all around and Family Alterations was the only place that was sure they could get the job done quickly! We found the place quickly. The owner was very friendly. She quickly marked up the pants after my husband tried them on. We only had 4 days before the wedding. We returned to pick up the pants and they were ready and looked fabulous! Very professional and even with charge for rush we felt that it was well worth the price! Very highly recommend!

I went to get my wedding dress altered and it turned out so good. I was a bit worried bc my dress didnt have a seam where it could be altered so they had to create one and you couldnt even see it in the end which was great. The family is so nice as well. Okay, I’ve never done an alteration before and I was not sure what to expect, but I thought it would be pricey.I called a couple of places and they had no space for me. I called Family Alterations and they were kind, professional, and very understanding.I am a flight attendant and needed pants hemmed/fixed and done within a day (I know that’s madness but things came up last minute.).Well I was very pleasantly surprised to find that not only did they fit me in, but they had it done before time, and the price was more than affordable. Totally worth every second of my time, business, and money!Will be back for all my alterations and my family and friends will be hearing from them as well!

This is a family owned business, which I love to support. They were great with making my dress perfect. My dress is made of lace and I was a bit worried about having it altered, but they did a great job! The only reason I’m not giving five stars is that the place of business is dirty and in just the short time I had my dress on to make sure it was perfect the entire bottom of the dress got dirty from touching the floors. The price to alter the dress was very affordable, but now I have to have my dress cleaned.

Ibrahim did excellent work on my leather motorcycle jacket. I wanted the sleeves shortened, the buttons replaced with Velcro, and I wasnt sure it was even possible. My jacket has an internal liner with snaps, making it an especially complex job. Im very happy with the end result. I highly recommend Family Alterations.

My fiance had to get her dress altered due to rapid weight loss before wedding less then 6 weeks from wedding. They did a wonderful job making the dress smaller and kept all the lace intact. The take-in pleats look completely nature with the style of the dress. They also did it with plenty of time to spare before wedding on case more alterations were needed. Fit perfect on first try.

Very busy so I have to wait about two months. If you not in rush this store will do. And plans on wait for 2 or 3 weeks.

Family Alterations is well named, as not only they are a family business, the owners make you feel like family. I like coming into their shop, and joked with them that I will have to order dresses in the wrong size so I have to keep coming back into their shop. They are so talented in their business! I brought in a jacket that needed a new zipper and they did an amazing job putting in a much better zipper, as well as stitching up a tear. They are also very friendly and gave me the price up front.

My son luke, 10th grader ordered a letterman jacket and the sleeves were too wide. They are leather and I knew that I needed only the best to alter the sleeves. They took in the sleeves so that they fit a but more snug. The leather was perfectly taken apart and resewn. I will forever be grateful to them for helping us out... I thought it would be impossible! My regular tailor was on an extended vacation and I had 3 dresses I needed altered quickly for a family wedding and graduation. They were so helpful, so quick and accommodating on my rush job! All 3 dresses were completed when the first one was promised. They fit perfectly and the alterations were seamless. He even suggested a different approach that saved me money and looked perfect! Even with the rush fee the pricing was better than what I found looking around. Family alterations will now be my regular tailor!

I had a high quality leather/fur coat repaired here. They tailored it to my body. They are not only extremely kind, but also extremely professional! These guys know what they are doing and how to do it. I bought a 100$ pair of Jeans that were way to long, they altered them to look exactly like they did when I bought them. The people who own it are so nice and friendly. I would recommend these guys to do any alterations you need done.

I had some real leather pants that needed to be trimmed on the inside and shortened. Got them done on time and feel great! Note: i called in three days before to check on them and he needed to work on them still. He his very busy all year round BUT hes the BEST Ive had!

I decided to stop in and try Family Alterations today based on all the five star reviews. Ive had bad experiences with alterations at places much closer to home and was willing to drive for professional service. I feel that professional and fast service justifies the distance. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly, kind, and knowledgeable Ibrahim and Summer were the moment I walked in the door. They quoted me great prices and took rush work that was less expensive than work that took over a week elsewhere. The real treat was when I picked up my six clothing articles 5 hours later! I was absolutely ECSTATIC with the work they performed for me on the six different pieces ranging from a replaced zipper to a complete dress re-size from a 12 to a 2, TODAY! The work is absolutely beautiful, as if my clothes just came from the retailer! They are amazing! I just expanded my wardrobe with things I havent worn in awhile! I could not be any more impressed by the kindness and the personality the promptness and the charismatic way that Abraham presented. I don’t care where you take your clothes to get altered this needs to be the last guy you ever take your alteration needs to.I gave Abraham 25 minute notice to have a very custom tailored sweater and he literally had it done within the hour. I took my alterations to him because after calling 15 other places and being Scoffed at for the idea of having my alterations done within one hour he was willing.Anyway I don’t mean to be all sappy but I was absolutely impressed with his customer service and willingness to help me out in the 11th hour

I went into the store and immediately was greeted very friendly, I had my kids with me and a lady came and said my kids could play with her daughter who was around the same age kept them occupied while I got my pants sized very friendly ppl I went in to get my pants a week later and they fit perfectly didn’t even look like they were cut

I brought in my Dress Blue to have patches sewn on, they already knew where the patches went and where the service stripe belonged. Theyre friendly and even better the price was great! Ill definitely be back everytime I need another patch placed on.

I had a custom suit jacket taken in on the sides. They did it perfectly. Besides it fitting the way I wanted I could not tell the difference from the product that came from the original tailor. The job was done on time and at a reasonable price. The couple were very nice. The place was a little difficult to find the first time event though it is right off state street. It is on the west side of the road.
