My family has known Kim for probably over 10+ years. I came in with a few pants that were triple my size and miraculously she made them fit perfectly for a really good price! i cant stress enough how much Kim is so talented at her work!

Kim did AMAZING. I’m 5”2 and pretty petite so I have a hard time finding pants that fit me correctly. I brought in 4 pairs of pants to have the waist brought in and hemmed. They all fit me like a glove now, I’ve never had pants fit me so well! She works super fast and is very fair with her prices. I will for sure be returning next time I need an alteration!

Amazing service!!! I came in from out of town for a wedding I was a bridesmaid for and Kim basically reconstructed my entire dress two days before the wedding!!! I could not be happier with my dress! English is her second language but she understands English very well. You might have to be a little patient and kind when she is speaking as her spoken language is coming along but Ive never had trouble understanding her and none of the details with my requests have ever gotten lost in translation. About 5 years ago I replaced my camera gear backpack because my then 15 year old paxk suffered zipper failure. Since I never throw anything away, I resurrected my old pack as my gear collection expanded. But, the zipper wouldnt properly close. I found Ace Alterations of Cottonwood Heights near my home so I delivered my old pack to Kim looking for zipper replacement rescue. I expected to leave the pack for a couple of days while she dug into what looked like a messy repair. No, not Kim. She pulled out a stick of wax, lubed the zipper and, voila! My antique pack is back in service. I left a small tip because Kim didnt want to charge me for her service. Thanks Kim! you are awesome.

Very professional, friendly, and quick. My dress pants were perfectly tailored. I was skeptical of the poor reviews by some people but I thought I would give it a try. Well, Im happy to report that I will be returning here whenever I need my clothes tailored. I dont know what some of the people were complaining about. Im a happy customer. A++

Ive been to Ace Alterations a few times over the last 8-9 years. They have always done an excellent and very timely job. The first time, I needed a dress altered in 3 days-they did it.If that wasnt enough to make me want to recommend them I bought a wedding dress that was crazy, ridiculously big for me-too long, too wide too everything. I went in thinking I most likely would have to get a new dress.The way my dress way manufactured made it really hard to alter the bodice, basically forcing you to remake the entire bodice...so very expensive. She went through my options, making sure I know which way would be more expensive and what she thought I should do. She ended up figuring out a way to alter it without having to remake everything, without charging me an exorbitant amount of money AND have it done in 2 weeks.I am so happy with how my dress turned out and so thankful she was willing to take such a big project on. I can not recommend this shop enough!

I’ve had many items done by Kim, dresses hemmed, straps moved, and she’s even fixed items that I initially tried to do myself! (my mother, an excellent seamstress, tried to teach me to sew but I’m not good and she now has arthritis and can’t sew for me anymore).Kim always makes sure we agree on what I want done and then gives me a date to pick up. Sometimes I want something done that isn’t reasonable and she explains why it won’t work in a way that makes sense to me. She’s always had my items ready when she promises and her work is exceptional. She is friendly, kind, and great at what she does. I always recommend her to my friends. Great service!

She ruined my pants by making one leg shorter than the other. She said she would make them the same length, and take in the waist. Once I got home to try on, the length was shorter, and other then taking in the sides she put an elastic in the waist which looked horrible and lazy on her part. The pants where pretty much ruined. I still had to pay $40 for it and make them to pajamas. She was frustrated with me as well, with the mistakes she made. Super horrible experience.
