Had a public car wash spray some sort of black gunk all over my trucks paint, another shampoo/wash at my house did nothing. I reached out to detail garage asking if they had any tips. Not only did they have the solution but also met with me on their day off to get me the products I needed to save my paint. Clean store and very knowledgeable. They showed me the process before I made my purchase to make sure I knew what I was doing. Definitely would recommend

I only buy a few brands of detailing products and its really nice to have one of them with a store I can just grab stuff from and not have to wait for an online order. Every employee Ive dealt with is helpful and friendly. I took the polishing class they offer a few weeks ago and I left feeling comfortable about putting a polisher on my car without the fear of ruining it. Its a great place to go if you have any questions or just want to check out all the products they have to offer.

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time because we just bought a Mustang and we’re excited to start hand washing instead of going to car washes as we had with other cars. The atmosphere here was chill, the guys are friendly, the products are neatly put out, prices were fair, and we found everything we were looking for.However, the are shortcomings. First one being the guy that helped us, although very kind and eager to help, seemed to have minimal knowledge on any of the products we asked him questions about. We got some pretty vague answers so much to the point where I had to just Google stuff. I understand people not knowing every product in a huge chain store but if you’re working in a finite specialty store then you should definitely know the products enough to be able to give some facts/opinions to make the customer feel confident to buy it.Secondly, some of the items didn’t have prices. Small thing, and I wouldn’t have brought it up if it were one item, but it was multiple and it felt tedious/annoying to keep asking.Third issue (the biggest one) is their return policy. It’s absolute garbage. We weren’t told at check out that we wouldn’t be able to return/exchange anything that wasn’t sealed- even with a receipt from the literal same day. We had bought many items, one of them being the Chemical Guys Cyclone Dirt Trap (we made sure to get a CG bucket too) but it was a total waste of money. It kept floating to the top and didn’t once trap the dirt underneath as advertised. We called to ask if we could simply exchange it for something else (possibly for something worth more money), but they basically said too bad. I understand if someone went in trying to return half used/heavily damaged items for a full refund without any proof of purchase, but really? Not wanting to do the right thing and exchange a $9 item that left us feeling frustrated? That’s shady. It honestly makes me hesitant on giving them more business which we were planning on spending some bills here for sure (WAS planning on going back to buy waffle weave towels, foam gun, tire shine, roof protectant, etc).Overall I recommend this place IF you’re a car person who knows exactly what to get (even then don’t forget you can’t return nor exchange if a product faults on its own/malfunctions). However if you’re new to car care/detailing and have no idea what you’re doing or getting, I really suggest you find somewhere else or do some major research online & order that way- maybe try CarPro products instead which I’m thinking of doing. Such a shame because we were both stoked to go here.

This is an awesome place to go if you need products to clean your vehicle. Polishes, soaps, and waxes, and all sorts of cleaning tools. I’ve had some of their products for a while but had a stubborn area on the inside of my door. The employees happily came out to look at it, and tried a couple products on it. They were able to get off the stain, and I bought the products they used. Great customer service, and amazing products.

First time in. Charlie was an excellent help. Answered all my questions with confidence and didnt make me feel pressured or shamed if there was a product I didnt want to buy. Highly recommend this place for all your car detailing jobs.

The store is well laid out and has a incredible selection of every detail product you would ever imagine. I see myself visiting this store quite a lot in the future!

Love that they have the full CG selection. Always super friendly and helpful. They do match prices for ChemicalGuys online as well if you remember to mention it while you’re in store. Will definitely continue coming here to improve my car wash cabinets!

Really cool crew here. Watched alot of there videos on YouTube for years. I live in Florida. Happened to be here in Salt Lake City for work and decided to check them out. Very neat and organized store. Great smelling products. Good quality towels. Definitely will be ordering everything from them online in the future.

We had hard water spots that were on our car for months and we couldn’t find the supplies we needed anywhere and needed them quick so we came here and were not disappointed! The staff is helpful for new car enthusiasts and they know the chem guys products well.As for the store. I’d like to see some more variety on the hardware side of things. Ex vacuums and small polishers. Every so often they do an event on the weekend that includes a raffle but it’s not managed that well so it’s not really worth attending. Just a badly executed ploy.Lastly, they have some discounts if you sign up for their newsletter, but the discount codes are only good for 7 days? Those need to be longer, like 15 days especially with Covid going on. I have had the last 3 discounts they sent me expired before the weekend comes when I have time to physically go to the store. Used to go in all the time but now I only go in if I can’t get my supplies from online to come in fast enough.

Been here in SLC for a couple months now and have been wanting to hit this place up. I finally got a chance to do so today and was pleasantly surprised with all of the products that they have to offer. Anything and everything that you should need for your car care is located under one roof. Great staff, very helpful, knowledge and very friendly. I highly recommend this spot to anyone thats looking to take care of there ride. 👍

They dont guarantee their products, so if it doesnt work you eat it. The owner told me to send it back to the manufacturer. I explained to him, the sales person who sold it to me, said it would stay in the car like an air freshener only better. It didnt last an hour. I would never go there again, with customer service like that they should be out of business.

Awesome environment to be in! I like that I can go in a novice and have someone help me pick the right product for my motorcycle. P-40 quick detailer was What i got and i love the quality of shine it produces plus the leather treatment works great on my real leather seats and saddle bags. Dont pass this place up youll leave satisfied I promise.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, you can tell they genuinely love cars and are car guys through and through. The products are good enough and reasonably priced, excellent value I think. They have a lot of products, some of which appear to do the same thing but the guys there will always help explain everything. I will continue to go out of my way to buy my detailing supplies there instead of ordering them online, worth the hassle of driving up there. Try the air fresheners, they have a ton of fun scents and you can buy a smaller size for pretty cheap.

This place has it all. The staff is knowledgeable and beyond helpful. Not only that, but their products are incredible. I bought a car two years ago that had who knows how old soda stain on the upholstery, and their stain remover had it looking like new with very little effort.

I went to Detail Garage looking for help. The Employee pretended to know what would work for my application. I got it home and made a few sprays, I immediately knew it was the wrong spray and stopped using it. I then tried the cleaner that the same employee convinced me to get which didnt work. I tried to return or exchange it the next day and the same employee told me that since I had tried it that he couldnt return or exchange it. I would have been ok with that but it was his recommendation that was wrong not mine. The stuff I chose for a different application worked great. Maybe the employee was just not on his A game that day but it ended up costing me. I will go back, but to buy specific products that I have researched on my own.

These guys are awesome, and very knowledgeable. I recently got into car detailing and didnt know much, and Shane was very helpful. Instead of trying to up sale me on better stuff, he explained to me what I would need according to what I wanted to accomplish and explained to me in detail how it all worked, and how to do everything. Extremely helpful, go check them out!

I really like Chemical Guys auto detailing products and go to the Detail Garage to stock up on supplies occasionally. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the products and specific situations where one product might be better than another. If you’re a fan of chemical guys detailing supplies, this is an awesome shop, with a great selection of supplies, and my experience a very friendly staff of people. I’m not a chemical guys exclusive detail user, but this shop because of its convience and great prices has me testing more of their products that I wouldn’t normally order to test. And have found some great products. Love this place!

Im a picky, and frugal guy when it comes to working on my cars. I found a staff there to be not only knowledgeable but extremely helpful. They have great products, and will also meet or beat internet pricing. Im sad to say, I think I may be parting ways with my tried-and-true 3M polishing systems.

This place is great and we are lucky to be able to have it in Utah! Shane has always been able to answer my questions and help me get exactly what I need for my wifes car and my truck. We live a couple of hours away in Logan, and he has even set product aside for me until I get there so that they dont sell out before Im able to buy it. 10/10 Would recommend Detail Garage SLC for all of your car care needs.

My husband bought all of our car cleaning supplies here. They do military discount & the employees are friendly. I wish they were a little less pricey, though! Bit of a markup on items. The five stars goes to the customer service although the store is also awesome! The employee walked me through all of the different products used in order for a full car detail. He also got a demo clay bar and showed me how and what I would need to do out in the parking lot on my car! I am a novice at detailing so the walk through was above and beyond!
