Ive been here a few times over the past year and a half, the booking process is easy and the staff is friendly enough so thats a plus. Unfortunately most the barbers here just dont give great haircuts no matter how many reference photos you give or requests you make or answers provided. I had one good cut and barber here the first time I went but hes no longer there, and ever since I havent been too impressed with the end result of everyone else Ive got a haircut from here including one of the co-owners. The fades are just not very clean or neat looking, just rushed through and barely passable, and cuts are often very uneven or not flowing properly with my hair line or head shape.

Sometimes difficult to get a spot there but there’s a good reason for it! Very good haircuts and ask for a wash too! Trust me ;)

There’s a reason their AVERAGE rating is 5 stars. It’s been really hard for me to find a barber that is consistently good, affordable, and has a great environment. I’m happy that I found Salt City, which hits all 3 of those. I would highly recommend to anyone that is folliclely challenged. Esteban gave me an amazing haircut with short notice and Rae, who I usually go to, is the best.

I have been going to Rachel for my hair cuts for quite a long time now and I have never been more impressed! Everybody at the salon is so nice, helpful, and kind. All the staff make me laugh and smile constantly. I always walk out of the salon with my face hurting from smiling too much.Rachel is such a pro at cutting hair. I am a woman with medium to long hair, and she helped me grow it out to where I want it as well as keep it super healthy, cute, and stylish. She has made me feel so confident and I will keep seeing her forever! Stephanie does my boyfriend and his family’s hair cuts (all boys) and she is literally remarkable at skin fades, etc.This barber shop is so cute and so clean! They care about everyone’s health and they are totally Covid safe.I have always had a great time with appointments and waiting times. They are very professional and they make me unconditionally happy and comfortable.Their products that they sell here are amazing!! I literally only use their OG sea salt spray in my hair and it takes away all my frizz and doesn’t make it crunchy. It smells great and I don’t need a million products in my hair. I have eczema and my scalp is where it gets the worst. Rachel has always taken such great care of my scalp and all their products just heal my skin and never irritated it.If I could, I would give this place a million stars! I recommend this barber shop entirely!

Thank you Mallory for the great straight edge razor shave and scalp massage.This is by far the best straight edge face shave I ever had, here in Utah, and other locations in the United States. Mallory was the most thorough and most confident, not one area missed. The shop is great, love the vibe, modern, chic, and a modern take on a barbershop.The scalp massage was great, and the products they use are first class, no joke, they smelled very very good. No cheap tonic full of alcohol was used after the shave, instead a spray with a nice cooling feel, with a great scent used. This business is very well thought out. I can see why it is a success, why it has the number of positive reviews, they also have a location in East Millcreek which I know will do very well in that awesome area. This shop is so much better than the hipster barbershops in the Ft Union area, andalot better than the old time barbershops of the area.Mallory, thank you for your service, I will be back, next time for a cut, and possibly another face shave. Just got my haircut by Cris and let me say, it was by far the best haircut I have ever gotten. He was so detailed and made sure it was exactly how I wanted it. Friendly conversation as well. He is at the Ft. Union location on Wednesdays but otherwise is at Millcreek. Highly recommend.

Becky made me feel way comfortable the entire time tho, she worked MAGIC on my crop and cleaned me up way nice. Her vibe had me at ease the whole it was a really good experience and I made an appointment for 2 weeks out on the spot ! I definitely found my new barber !

I have been getting my head shaved and my beard maintained by Rachel for almost two years now. She recently moved to a new location with a beautiful shop. New and top of the line customer service, equipment, and products to keep me (and you too) looking sharp and sexy. I have had the opportunity to have the other stylists work on me when Rae is on vacation and they all do great work. I have been to many other places and and gotten a decent hair cut but here is top of the line excellent quality care. It isnt just a hair cut, its manly pampering. I have tried many other places to maintain my beard and have always felt disappointed, that I could do better work myself, and many times irritated because they ruined my beard. I have very long OBNOXIOUSLY thick hair. Prior to today, my hair was matted, uneven, disgusting mess. After 2 hours with Rachel, its been restored amazingly. This is an AMAZING place to go. The girls are wonderful, friendly, and great at what they do. Rachel was amazing to me despite the fact she had to brush for 2 hours alone before she could even trim. Definitely coming back and definitely becoming my only place to go. Very fair price too!

The Salt City Barber Shop is absolutely amazing from the second they picked up the phone on my way in to the very moment I left feeling like a Mil$. Emily & crew there are extremely friendly and very warm with a welcome and it wont take long for the cheer and energy of the shop to engulf your face with a smile. Asked for a taper fade and the homie gave me a buzz cut. Didn’t even use the different clipper sizes and dropped the clippers at least 5 times.
