DONT SING UP A CONTACT WITH THIS COMPANY.This gym never take care of his members and the safety of the same, if a member lose something or someone else steal something from other member they never will going to take care of that, neither of your safety. The personal is pretty poor, just works for money, never will going to take care of your results and people tends to come here and sing up contracts using the name and address of someone else and they accepts that being illegal. So if I was you, doesn’t comes to sing up a contract with them apart that if someone steal you something from one of the restrooms lockers doesn’t will going to take care of that neither, they never take care of the safety and security of his members, so if you pretend sing up a contract with this gym I would think about till 3 times before do it, that is the kind of personal that this company got?Im really disappointed honesty, nothing of that never has been happened to me before in any other gym that I’ve been, so for your safety and safety of yours dont ever thinking into sing up a contract with this company.
Do NOT sign a contract here. I was told I could do a 3 month membership for the summer while home from college and they secretly locked me into a 12 month one, even while assuring me I was signing a temporary contract. They took advantage of me and I am still dealing with this corrupt company a year later as well as the collections agency they turned me into. Even my bank told me that they have dealt with many customers screwed by TruFit and stated that it is a “sketchy company.” Go to Crunch Fitness!
Loving the gym and awesome staff. Always very clean and my kids love the daycare area they always have fun. P.T. are amazing and the best price I have found in town. Class are amazing
I really like this gym. Has every thing . Free weights machines cardio diff classes boxing a pool sona showers .
Somebody opened an account in my name with my address, I was billed for it and called and even went up there to tell them that it was not opened by me. I am now being billed by a 3rd party collections agency and still have not even heard anything or gotten a call back from TruFit employees.
Loved my experience at the Military Dr location! The staff was very friendly, greeted with a smile and hello as soon as we walked in. The locker room was nice and clean. All areas of the gym was also clean! My husband and I signed up on our first visit!
Wont lie. Alex the operations manager who wouldnt even give me her last name, gave me the absolute worst customer service experience Ive had in my 32 years of.living. Being a former personal trainer I could never imagine treating a customer the way she did me. Even had the gall to hang up on me while I was being polite. Wouldnt let me speak to the General Manager told me they were busy and so was she. She constantly interjected me and would not let me speak. It is obvious that your problems will be none of her concern. I have been a member since heros originally opened I will unfortunately be taking my business elsewhere. Quite sad that if she would of given me the time of day I would paid the collection department and still been a member. Note: I was only in collections because my account was frozen during covid and I never received notice that it was unfrozen. I hope they do better when selecting management. Time to move to a gym that cares about individual members and not one that treats you as a number to their profit margin.
This has been the second or third time this month I have showed up at 5:30 AM to come workout and no one has shown up to open the gym on time. Very unprofessional.
This gym continued to try and charge my card in excess of 1000 dollars, after me moving from midland and canceling it. Dont use your debit card unless you want to continue to be charged after your membership is ended. The worst gym in Midland, hands down!!!
Grest workout facility and helpful staff
Always a good nice clean gym to go to with enough equipment to get a good workout in! Staff is awesome as well!
This location is per for people that get out of work at 6 pm, its super accessible to get a workout in and has a lot of room to maintain covid-19 safety guidelines!
Im a membership holder here and have been getting a run around this morning on the phone with their customer service. Im sorry for the poor review but they do not have a complaints department. Only people to complain about grievances or GMs or Regional Managers who have seem fit to not take phone calls. Just emails.I went to the portal to update payment info. I click on transactions and see two scheduled drafts for around 48 dollars for Gym Improvement. For 8/12/19 and for 8/12/20.Recently a location in Midland Tx was taken out of commission forcing people who hold memberships to pack into the remaining two. My husband and I have complained about lack of cleanliness, the cramped fashion and old broken machines. I would think taking those constantly broken down machines out of service to at least relieve the congestion. My grief is that they are worst off right now than gyms who cost 10 dollars a month when TruFit boast being a luxury gym. There is a constant worry of getting into an altercation with another patron here because of the gym set up. I asked if they plan on opening another gym to relieve the pressure after closing one and the corporate headquarters didnt have an answer. I said that them closing a gym in my area after signing my contract should allow memberships to at least air their grievances and to be allowed out of their contract. Much less apparently Im funding gym improvements after the quality has gone down? Trufit is not living up to its luxury gym name at all. It is inexcusable to not have a department to hear these gripes but thats how you get reviews such as these.
UPDATE: TruFit responded to my review saying to email them at [email protected] if my problem hadn’t been resolved so they could help me. I emailed them and also the TruFit info email a total of THREE times. It has been a month and I haven’t heard anything from them. They do not want to help and they are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. It shouldn’t take over a week to respond to an email, let alone an entire month! The only reason I’m rating this gym 1 Star is because it’s not possible to give it 0. TruFit offers good equipment for its customers and that is about all. They claim to “take care” of their customers and their needs. When I first came to TruFit I told them I didn’t want to get a membership because I knew I would be moving away in the next couple of months. They assured me that I would be able to cancel my membership with no problems. False. I have tried to cancel my membership and they will not accept it. They told me I will have to pay the full years contract before I can cancel or find someone to “buy me out of my contract.” I am 100% dissatisfied with the gym and will never recommend it to anyone. Save yourself time and trouble and go get a gym membership somewhere else.
Great place to get a workout in midlandWould recommend
Amber was very helpful and welcoming. My friend and I are new members and we are so excited for our fitness journey!San Antonio location!!
Terrible customer service.
Nice gym, but they need to organize their weights.
Don’t have anything bad to say about this place . It’s a nice gym to workout out and has lots of equipment .
Please dont fall victim to their membership scam, you will have to sign away on a keypad as they re write the membership behind you. I got scammed when I told the representative I was only staying for 5 months he had me signed then put a 12 month contract after I signed the keypad only to know this 5 months later when I tried to cancel. 100% WOULD GO TO CRUNCH / LA / GOLDS / 24 / ANYTIME Ive been a member at all of them and TRUFIT IS BY FAR THE WORST.
After I found out that I was no longer moving to Midland, Texas, i tried cancelling my membership. A membership that I never used, Miriam Ponce was very rude and very unprofessional she basically didn’t want to help and didn’t even bother to turn in emails to corporate. AJ and Nora were helpful, even tho my cancelation hasn’t been done they at least were nice and professional. I’ve been trying to cancel this membership since July. Do not get a membership here, they have the worst customer service.
This has to be the worst customer service ever. I have not only been in here several times to cancel my membership but even signed a paper stating that after my last payment I would be done. THAT WAS A LIE!! STILL TAKING MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT. BE AWARE IF YOU WANT LEAVE YOU CANT!! I HAVE NOT BEEN IN A TRU OR SHOULD I SAY UNTRU FIT IN OVER 2 YEARS BUT THEY CONTINUE TO TAKE MY MONEY. AT THIS POINT I EITHER NEED TO SEEK LEGAL ACTION OR SHUT MY ACCOUNT DOWN!!
They make up contracts and charge when ever they want.
Jesse is a great trainer he will definitely help you achieve your goals. I highly recommend him.
DON’T sign up at this gym. By far the worst gym I ever signed up at. The front desk people will not take notes on when you call. CANCELED 2 months ago and still getting charged. I had friends tell me they kept getting charged too and it even happened to me. But when u call they want u to still put in another 30 days notice & pay for another month. This is the onlyReview I ever wrote in my life. BUT just bc I know there’s better ways to help guest out during cancellations since I worked at gyms & this was just BAD. Not worth it!!
This is the only gym in Midland right now that is requiring that you wear a mask WHILE YOU WORKOUT. As someone who has asthma that’s extremely unsafe. I can understand when you’re coming and going but while you’re working out? That’s crazy.
The gym equipment is fine, but customer service is nonexistent. Management is horrible. We verbally told them 60 days before our membership was to expire that we wanted to close our account, apparently no one made a note of that in our account, nor did they remind us that it had to be in writing. Then the manager began to threaten us when we questioned her. Now were getting charged an extra yearly fee. These people are terrible and heartless. I have never seen worse customer service than at TruFit. I would not recommend this gym to anybody- save your money and the hassle.
If you are a bodybuilder than this gym is not for you. This gym might as well change the name to planet fitness because NO GALLONS OF WATER ALLOWED OR STRINGERS. A gallon of water really. A gym is there for a person to workout and feel happy about themselves not worry about what new rule is about to be implemented. So I say if you are a beginner and want to have beginner results then get a membership. But seasoned lifters and pros this isnt a gym for you plus they are lacking is equipment.
Cannot cancel without specific criteria or mail. Its a hassle to cancel and, so they can charge you another month you have to give a 30 day notice before you cancel. Also the emails you send in your cancellation documents to wont get back to you in a timely manner. Ive waited 3 days and only heard back from one admin for one location which are the people responsible for following through with cancelling your membership. I would not recommend this gym. Locker rooms smell like mold and customer service is a disgrace.
You want a place where you have to search for weights here it is. Minimal spray bottles and towel stations to wipe down machines even with this COVID thing going on. The weights are thrown around the gym. I’ve never seen any employee care enough to pick up a weight and get the place organized. At least enforce re-racking your own weights... but no. Customer service doesn’t exist here. If I was the owner of this tru fit, I’d be disgusted. Hell, I’m disgusted of this place even not owning it.
Do NOT sign a contract here. They will try to nickel and dime you every chance they get and communication is pathetic with management. When Covid hit I had tried to cancel my account giving proper 30 day notice then was hit with a charge 2 months later and was told they did not process my request even though I’m outside of my year contract. Let alone I was laid off and no longer live in midland which is said in the contract as a reason to void the contract. This being said they are saying they will not process my request even though I’ve reached out for months. My opinion go to CRUNCH this place is pathetic on the management side.
We went in to check it out and unfortunately the staff didn’t greet us nor gave us a tour throughout the gym. It was disappointing, I had never gone to a gym where they don’t give us a tour nor show us things around the gym.
Credit card fraud. While doing my income tax I went through bank statements and found where Trufit is charging 3 different credit cards that they did not have access to or permission to use. Turns out they use a credit card processing company that has other credit card numbers and so the decided to use them. I reached out to TruFit 5 times and keep getting the run around while they continue to charge my cardsI am filing a Credit card Fraud report with Midland Police dept as we speak.Additionally, This place is NASTY. Filthy bathrooms.
Recently, I tried to use the large room where they hold classes and the doors was locked. The lights were on and there was one person in there stretching. I asked the front desk about it and they said that it was no longer open for general use, as if the gym isn’t packed enough. This room was a major benefit to me as it’s a large open space for warm up drills and other exercises. I would like to hear from management about why it is not open anymore.
Ive traveled and exercised at numerous facilities, gyms and camps over the years, all throughout the country. Without a doubt this is hands-down the premier facility in all of West Texas. Glad to be part of it👊🏽
I paid for a week pass and didnt even finish it, because of how bad this gym is. The gym is a mess, weights are left all over the place, dumb bells are scattered. Most of your workouts are spent, clearing weights from bars/machines people didnt bother to re-rack, or trying to find 2 of the same dumbbells. The staff clearly doesnt care about the gym.
Great place to work out. Cant beat it for the price.
They do not have a womens section that is the only reason I even went to the gym in the first place at the other location. I tried working out at the new facility and the equipment is so close together that youre in everybodys way and then when I try to call to cancel my membership nobody at the Odessa location knows the phone number to the Midland location since the number on the website is incorrect. Yeah definitely going to look for another gym
This gym is awful! Their customer service is non existent and they only care about taking your money. I signed up with this Heros in April under the impression I was signing up for a month to month and could cancel at any time. I made it clear with the girl I was signing up with that this is what I wanted in case the gym was not for me. She assured me I could cancel at any time. Low and behold, this is not what she signed me up for and now I can not get out of this contract. Not only was I lied to about what I signed up for, I was never told the gym I signed up at would be closing, classes were constantly being cancelled and equipment is always broken. I have emailed Shanna who would only say you cant cancel. I have tried getting in contact with the owner/manager of Midland but was sent to the billing department in Dallas. They gave me an email for the owner/manager Jamel who will not return my emails. If you sign up for this gym, make sure you know what you are signing up for because they will lie to you.
When you walk in the front desk doesnt seem to care at all that youre interested in becoming a member. They dont go over any of the plans. Quick to give you a 3 day card and move on. The free weights are incredibly unorganized. The other location off meta is much cleaner and better lit. If I decide to join I likely wont go to this one.
Please some idea of how to cancel my membership, I have tried to cancel it by all means and no one here attends me, being in Midlan I explained that I moved to North Carolina and they did not accept the cancellation and now I try with the management of Paramount and They tell me that I must do it in Midland, it is something crazy and incomprehensible and if you do not believe me, this is the companys response.Hello Rafael,Thank you for contacting Paramount Acceptance!I apologize, all cancellation requests would need to be directed to the club you signed up at. TruFit only uses Paramount Acceptances computer software to process their payments. Due to this, I do not have any information on your account. For any questions or adjustments regarding your account you will need to speak with the club location directly.I apologize for the inconvenience.Thank you and have a wonderful day!Kind Regards,SophiaOnline Customer SupportParamount AcceptanceI need someone help me.Thanks
The stair climbers are constantly broke! They have 15 running machines that only a handful use but only a few stair climbers that are always in use WHEN RARELY WORKING! Once broken it takes weeks to get them repaired? All the popular equipment is in short supply? Why don’t they understand their business? Im leaving for greener pastures
As far as equipment goes its got everything you need. I like the Midland North location the best because it is cleaner and less ghetto than the Meta location. Only thing is it gets really crowded. Good luck getting on a bench or squat rack in the evenings or on weekends. One of the main things that attracted me about Heroes was that they offered child care so that I could drop my toddler off and get a workout in. This also helped my wife out a lot as she is an online student. All was well until one of the child care workers (Midland North) asked me when I came to pick my kid up one day if he was slow. She said that he wouldnt respond to her when she spoke to him (he was 2, imagine that). Ive never been more offended. I called management and Im not sure what they did if anything. This same worker has made other inappropriate comments to wife on occasions concerning our child. This coupled with me getting calls in the middle of my workout all the time because my kid has done something just did it for me. The childcare workers obviously arent good with kids and dont have any training in dealing with small children. I can no longer feel comfortable with my kid in their care. So this is what prompted me to cancel my membership, which is a shame because I actually liked working out there. Pay attention Heroes some of your employees are costing you money.
I’ve tried to cancel membership for 2 months now and no one can help me!! I have to just cancel my credit card for them not to draft anymore.. Horrible customer service.. was put on hold to speak to manager and was on hold for more than 20 minutes. Called back was out on hold again, called back spoke to someone else.. only for Them to tellMe the manager was gone for the day.. wowYou could have told me that 20 minutes ago.. horrible horrible.. please send your employees to take some type of customer service training.
Even though it has amazing classes and stuff its not much on services and they lie. There is false adverting instead of 10.00 a month is more like 36.74 or something I had to pay and then even though I quit going the were still trying to charge me money then I get a letter saying I owe 400.00 something dollars. I liked the idea of child care but if your going to adv. your company do it right.
Was not very many people, and I was there from 3:30 to about 4pm. Nice and quick workout.
Always has machines broken, sauna door has been off forever with no sign of fixing, missing dumbbells and always in the wrong places in the rack. Way to many benches to the point youre always moving around to get a workout in. Whats more annoying is that you look over and see 4 or 5 employees standing around talking. Miss Heroes fitness, was my favorite gym and was turned into this trash
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH TRUFIT! I signed up in April of last year. I found out I was pregnant in August and had some serious issues come up with my pregnancy. I brought in a doctors note to cancel my membership and they told me it would get cancelled. Now, 4 months later, they called me and told me it wasn’t cancelled and it was only frozen! And that I can’t cancel until March! Terrible customer service and rude employees!
I have been a member since it was Around The Clock Fitness since Trufit has taken over its been the worst experience. My rate increased, almost every other piece of equipment is out of order, bathroom, pool etc with no answer when any of this will be fixed. I use to stretch in the aerobic area at Heroes here the door is always locked not for public use. Theres less equipment in the women space and more clueless employees. 🤷🏿♀️🤦🏾♀️
This place is a joke. 😂 Old location was good, staff was mediocre. New location is trash, and the staff is awful. I had the VIP membership and was able to bring a guest every day for free at the old location. Today they tried to tell me that never happened and my guest needs to pay $15 a day. Absolutely horrible staff and customer service, now want us to pay to cancel. DO NOT GO HERE
Never any hot water for the showers. Been going here for over a year and they can’t seem to fix a simple problem. Staff doesn’t seem to care about their customers problems with the place.
The upgrade is closing a good gym and opening a a headache. There is no space as there are too many machines and people can bearly walk around. No ladies room which the old gym had and not enough studios. If I could give it a zero I would.
Great equipment. Glad 24 hrs. This old lady has lost over 45 lbs went from size 18/20 to 8/10 and still working on on body firming with weights. Im 64 and was told I look 35. Made my day. Thx to trainers and sticking to a good diet.
I came in with the intention of joining but decided against it after taking a tour. The front desk girl was on her phone and after I asked her about joining she yelled across he room to someone else and said Anyways.. Promptly returning to her personal call. Womens bathroom was in sad state. I understand theres some renovating going on and thats a good move in the right direction. I like to be impressed by a health facility, both by the trainers and the atmosphere.
Overcrowded, the expansion is not even an expansion. The gym was great when the other Midland location was open. Now its way to crowded. Go elsewhere.
Signed up two people in my family under the impression I was on a month to month membership and that I could bring a guest. They wanted my guest to pay after going for 3 weeks with no fee..(because I was told they could come in with me like that when I signed up). So I told them I wanted to cancel my month to month and they said I was under contract and have to pay a cancellation fee???? Guy literally told me he wasnt trying to be an A##hole...why would you use that kind of language when dealing with a customer thats not satisfied? What has happened to customer service!(Wasnt told they were closing the current location either) Way too crowded at the new location...location they closed down was laid out much better and had more room. Dont waste you money on this place.
I pay for a 24 hr gym and cant go in after hrs?!
Nice gyn but WAY to small for amount of people trying to use it. Old location was much bigger and better.
The gym isnt bad, has a variety of equipment that one could want. The Personal Training is a JOKE and needs massive improvements that start at the top of their staff. Would recommend the gym, but not the Personal Training. You will waste your money and time with them.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM. Customer service is trash, no one seems to ever know what is going on. If you do sign up, good luck trying to cancel your membership. We have battled them for months, were given multiple email addresses, contacted the gym many times with speaking to managers.. they wait a couple months to try to charge you a delinquent fee since they didn’t cancel you... try threatening to send you to collections for their faults. They requested bills to prove relocation just to cancel a GYM membership. The worst gym I have ever dealt with. Take notes from all the awful reviews and steer clear of this establishment.
If you plan to go in the evening, youre better off doing pushups at home. Too much broken equipment and way too crowded. The only time I went to use the restroom the toilets were all clogged and the entire locker room smells like a dirty port a potty.
Place is always packed and crowded have to wait for equipment and gym is always dirty. Water botters on floor, sweat or spit on the mirrors, floors dirty. Really miss the old heros fitness.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. This entire company is an absolute JOKE. They have robbed me of WELL OVER $1,000 and no one will contact me. Patrick, the personal training manager is no help at all. DO NOT GO HERE.
Been a member here for years. I’ve been really happy with the expansion and equipment. Gym members here hardly ever re-rack their weights. The quality of employees (excluding trainers from what I’ve noticed) has gone downhill. All but about 2-3 just sit behind the front desk and ignore 90% of the people that walk in. I’ll walk in and say hello and they just look at me. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone from behind the front desk go and clean up or do anything “extra”. Maybe they’re working on marketing for the gym on Facebook, I don’t know.
I would give this company 0 stars if it was possible. They will steal your money even after you cancel your membership, and refuse to speak with you. They will put you on 30 minute holds or hang up on you. They act like you are trying to cancel with the FBI, they are a gym...its not that serious. Stay away from this terrible fraudulent company.
Its a great gym as far as what they have to offer. The only issue with the gym is the management time after time get complaints of their employees harassing and in some cases their the trainers are sleeping around with members. I over heard recently that there was an issue with a member and a trainer named Matrix Alexander Lopez to be exact that he was sleeping with a members wife and the member got suspended while the trainer that is employed there didnt get fired or suspended for his actions. A lot of members are leaving due to the lack of respect and professionalism that is carried at Heroes Fitness here in San Angelo tx. Be cautious friends or this could happen to you!
If I could give this gym and company 0 stars, I would. Do not sign up here. The sales people will lie to you to get you to sign up. The older, blonde woman (Brooke) was the one who signed us up. 1. She forgot to mention that the other location was closing when she signed us up. 2. She lied and told us the new cancelation fee was just $60. We went to go cancel because you cant even move an inch in this gym without running into someone, and we were told we would have to pay the ENTIRE years contract. What kind of a scam company is this? When we pointed out that we were intentionally lied to, we were told Oh well there has been a lot of confusion because of the company transfer. So .. There is confusion and the customer has to pay for it? I will never sign up or go to a Trufit and will definitely recommend others to do the same.
I love the staff, the child care staff is awesome, and the new renovations are excellent. A couple more squat racks would have been a great addition, but Im not going to complain over that. Its $10 a month but in this case you get way more than what you pay for.
I miss Heroes fitness. Tru fit is trash don’t bother wasting money on a membership there.
Too many people. You wait for a machine more than you do actually working out. If that’s your style than this is the place for you.
I miss heroes. Trufit out fix the fkin pool and the machines
Dirty smelly bathrooms. Dirty equipment. The Odessa location is cleaner and more organized. And that’s saying a lot.All the while most of the time I walk in here the entire staff is scrolling Facebook at the front desk.
This is a great gym, Ive been going for over a year and I cant be happier, only negative thing is that the music isnt loud enough. I really wish they would blast the music, its so quiet like a church. Nothing makes a work out better than loud music
Location is garbage! Staff very cryptic about the transition from heroes to TRUFIT. wanted to hit gym in Odessa Fathers day weekend on Saturday and they are closed until 19th and store in Midland isnt answering phone so they are likely closed too... No message machine no update on heroes app. No nothing. This gym is garbage and doesnt seem to care about communicating effectivley with patrons. Going to look into cancellation of membership. New ownership sucks! I dont care about renovations but you people need to learn how to communicate its the21st century
They have been selective on when they enforce mask requirement
Most employees just waste time on their phones and never put anything away. When stuff breaks it often stays that way for months. They finally got a manager and the first thing she does is lock up the room where the foam rollers and mats are and ban people from using it, even though before renewing my membership I specifically asked if it was going to stay open to people between classes. Overall its missing a lot of pretty critical equipment and is poorly maintained.
Its basically a usable gym but theres nothing inspiring about the ambiance, the state of the equipment, or the front desk staff. Most of the front desk staff are cold. It seems like a few do most of the work. The ones that sit at the desk all day are either on their phones or gossiping with each other. This location has great hours (24/7) but theres a lot to be desired. My top complaints are the fountains dispensing city water and lack of air circulation in every room. HEROES, are you really too cheap to install and replace water filters like any dignified establishment in town and provide some A/C or at least fans? The equipment is not bad but its obviously aging. Some of it should be replaced or repaired, e.g. torn cushions, missing pins, squeaky cables. Whats not as important but something that makes me not want to return are the wafts of weird smells encountered at the threshold of the upstairs locker rooms, dirty commodes and overall dingy bathrooms, and potholes in the parking lot. I dont see where the money from the membership fees is invested to provide the customers a great experience.
FILTHY gym. Seriously such a complete DUMP. The staff does ZERO to keep the weights and equipment clean or organized. Just expect to bring a towel or work out in other people’s sweat. No one replaces their weights. Half of the equipment is outdated or broken. It’s seriously the worst run gym ever. Now that Heroes has become TruFit I doubt it will get better. Unfortunately I went to 2 locations of TruFit in Denver & that is THE worst run gym as well. Zero customer service. The place is covered in sweat and 99% of the time there are no towels left nor replaced by staff to clean up after yourself or others. The spray is some cheap soap but if you can get it use it. Very old equipment but it gets the job done. The majority of lockers in the women’s locker room are broken and won’t even close-and it smells like there’s a dead body up on the 2nd floor. It’s pretty nasty, ghetto & neglected all around but I do love they are open 24 hours. I joined when I moved here but will be leaving as soon as Crunch opens. Be aware when you sign up you are locked into a year contract-very old school & most gyms have an opt out option but that’s how TruFit rolls.
The place has really gone downhill in the past few months. Front desk people arent very friendly. The weights are never where they should be. I wont blame the cleaning staff because Ive seen them re-arrange them thousands of times. So for that A+. But cracking down on members to put their weights away would be ideal, of course, everyone is too busy yapping to pay attention to whats going on around them. Seriously looking to find a different gym, because my wife and I are getting tired of this place.
I love everything about this Gym and especially that when I have to take my kids with me they are happy and comfortable going with me. Love the all the classes and cant wait to see the new renovations!!!
The equipment is in decent condition based on the amount of gym goers that use it. The facility is clean and other than very crowded a great gym.
They brought in some more equipment from the old gym they shut down and it’s crazy congested and so much unnecessary workout machines no one uses! You really have to get creative on some workouts and figure out how to make room. I almost want to open up my own gym just so people can have options and spread out, it’s insane! LolIt would be really awesome if they would open child care hours to:Mon.-Thur:8am-8pmFriday: 8am-5pmSaturday: 8-5pmSunday closed.Or even still 1-4:30I’ve always worked in the gym, front desk and supervised childcare teams in 3 different gyms and this schedule really seems to work out great!During the week around 11-4 there is a slow period and we never needed more than 2-3 people working max. Which gives you a mid day cleaning time where you can really focus on certain things that need to be improved weather it be cleaning or rearranging, figure out new ideas to be more engaged with the kids, ANYTHING! Lol ( And the clubs I worked at were much bigger and had more clients than this one so I know it can happen lol)Especially bc a lot of moms like to do classes so that’s why you have the busier times morning and night time when those classes are going on.To really sum it up... you have a hugeeeeeeeee wasted space for PT and I doesnt look like much training is going on down there. I mean you put the ONLY kettle bells down there but have none anywhere else in the gym.. why?! You guys have to get more creative do something different or just get rid of some of that ridiculous equipment no one is using.
Equipment is aged but in acceptable condition. There is little to no proper gym etiquette; such as few members wipe down equipment even fewer use towels yet even less properly rack the weights when finished. The weight area is dirty even for an old school gym. The facilities are even worse. Obviously there was no cleaning performed over the weekend and on Monday morning I watched as one was cleaning the locker room. Shutting down areas during peak shower time, not sweeping before mopping. Definitely displays an atmosphere of lack quality or concern to provide a clean comfortable environment.
Im an oilfield worker from Dallas. My membership fees at La Fitness is 12.99 a month, month to month. They have a sauna, swimming pool, racquet ball, basket ball courts, classes, up to date equipment....you get the point. Why so expensive here with none of the extras?
0 costumer service, only reason why I keep the membership after it got bought out is childcare. Which is not even good at all.. sometimes Im scared of taking my kids.
New and “real pretty”, but too crowded, too compressed, missing equipment, bad organization. I’m returning to the old Gold’s/old Hero’s/new Tru-fit, at the Meta Dr. location.
This is a nice, clean, and well organized gym. My only gripe is the water. Gotta put RO on those drinking fountains. Other than that. 👍🏼
Their staff is always friendly and they keep the rooms really clean! Been going for a long time and really enjoy it.
Worst gym ever it was built new and there ac is always braking down! They have a steam room that they still haven’t fixed it’s over crowded gym the worst gym in America
They allowed my ex husband to use my daughter cc illegally .. Her account is set up with mine & has nothing to do with him. I have it set up for her lunches and emergency purposes. When I called to get my money refunded they said it was not thier problem to take it up with my X. So apparently no ID is checked and your money is no value to them as long as they get paid.
Spend more time taking off weights left on there by the lazy, finding weights left all over the place and cleaning up trash or cleaning equipment before you can use it then you do of what you actually went there to do. Super rude and lazy staff.
I have reported this company to the BBB. After reading all these other stories that are like mine, I have filed an official complaint with the BBB.
Facility is small! The mens sauna door has been off for months now!
The gym is undergoing a re-model. They are adding more square footage and newer equipment. I signed a 12 month @ $30/mo with no enrollment fee.The staff is super friendly. Weight area can be crowded if you go there at the wrong time. The cardio equipment is is great shape. I have not taken any classes yet, they are have a lot of those too.
We need more squat racks ! The squat itself is an overall body workout. This alone is the King of exercises. The squat rack should be looked upon as a shrine or temple . We all know standing free weights are &foremost a necessity !
This gym is really convenient and all the workers their are friendly.I couldnt have picked a better gym to go to. Highy recommend if your new to the town or Just wanting to workout.
By far the worst gym I have been to. Customer service is horrible and its always way to busy.
This place is a complete joke of a gym and the staff that works there. Staff is rude & lazy. If you want a joke of a gym and a corporation that cares nothing but the extra dollar coming to them this is your gym.
Staff really needs to make sure and re rack the dumb bells throughout the day. The people in the gym don’t help, but I have never been to a gym before that didn’t have staff re rack the dumbbells. It make the whole experience horrible.
