I’ve been a member since they opened and all I gotta say is, what Great atmosphere! What I like:the place is always clean, cleaning supplies always available, restrooms are clean and soap dispenser is always full. Overall the staff I’ve encountered are friendly and seem to have a great energy. They are welcoming. Ilike to see more Crunch open up and please add a basketball 🏀 court and swimming pool lol 👍🏼

Have been subscribed since the gym opened. Overall love this place and the atmosphere. Only problem is some of the instructors. I like to use the red weights along the left side wall. I was using them in the back mirror room and went to put them up. There just so happened to be a class happening on the turf. I went to put my weights up trying to stay out of the way of the class. The instructor came up to me, with weights in hand trying to put then back on the rack, and told me I needed to get out of the way because they were having a class. I tried to explain I was just putting my weights up but she didnt listen and kept motioning for me to get out of the way. I set my weights on the floor and left. Thats incredibly rude of her to not even listen to me, there wasnt even a workout station by the weights at that time and I wasnt in anyones way. I dont know why she had to be rude and why she wouldnt even listen. Only time Ive ever had a problem here and I was just trying to put weights up.

Staff are pretty good. The equipment is pretty reliable and breaks down rarely. My wife loves the classes which includes Zumba and hiit. Not a bad gym.

The first month or so was great. But after a while I started getting charged for a personal trainer after I already canceled. I was out sick and called and canceled and they still charged me. Couldnt even finish my contract cause they didnt have anyone to train with me. I will be canceling my memembership this weekend along with my fiance. Yall need to do better.

Would give 5 stars but the cleanliness inside is lacking, there dust in between under and all around the equipment. Mirrors are nasty and they should go green an get rid of the paper towels and go with cloths yea I know ppl steal so put a sensor inside so they want run off with them. Also the lights in the parking lot are never on and that’s a big time safety concern especially for the women at the gym. Do better Crunch.Update so after the owner acknowledged the post I was gonna give the benefit of the doubt and change my review. So since it’s been a week now nothing still has been done. Those lights not working in the parking lot has been like that since oct 2020

The gym itself is great! I would give 5 stars. I absoutely loved the staff for classes and HIIT. Erica, Jenna, Felicia are wonderful. The front desk is a little less than friendly but I don’t need over kind for my work out.However I can’t give 5 stars because the daycare is the absolute worst. We move a lot so we have been to many gym daycares and this one is by far the worst ever. The staff is always on their phones, they hardly greet the kids when they come in, I was always being told my 2 year old was out in time out for putting toys in her mouth (she’s TWO!!!). My kids begged me to stop going and would say they were rude to them. I stopped going because I wasn’t going to put my kids in there anymore! Really terrible care!

Ive called and cancelled my membership in April... Im still being charged. When I signed up over a year ago It was explained to me that I needed to have a full year and it would end or I would have called much earlier to cancel. I no longer live there and this is frustrating. I do not live there and its pointless to pay for something Im not using. PLEASE CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP.

The facility is always clean and they seem to try really hard to get any equipment that is broken fixed and back to working order as quickly as possible. Unlike another gym I once belonged to that would have equipment out of order for months at a time.Their staff has been extremely friendly and actually take the time to know your name & interact with you rather than acting like you are some kind of annoyance that has interrupted their time looking at Facebook or Instagram . Additionally they were one of the first gyms to go back to 24hrs while many other 24 hour gyms are still closing overnight.

Not only are trainers training you to look like what they want you to look like, not what you want to look like, if you have a broken leg and cannot come in to cancel your membership because you cannot walk or drive, you just have to pay the membership fee until you can. Decent facility. Terrible practice.

Only thing I can say is they need a Better A/C unit for the amount of people inside the facility. The atmosphere is very moist & humid. Other than that no complaints.

Very welcoming atmosphere. Equipment for beginners all the way up to advanced gym goers. They are open 24/7 which is one of my favorite things about Crunch. Staff is very kind and helpful.

My wife had this location draft 480 dollars out of our account for a personal trainer we didnt ask for, and we dont even live in Midland. It took months to get the money back, only for them to take money back out of our account a year later... After blocking them at the bank, they are now harassing us daily with collection calls. The collections department said only the GM of the location can help us.Theres apparently no GM employed at this location right now.I reached out to corporate and was told that this is an independently owned and operated franchise, so they cant help directly, but they forwarded the request to the owners.Be aware of doing business with this location, you could be fighting debt collectors for someone elses mistake.

Clean facility, nice staff and the 24 hours availability is nice. Its way to busy for me in the early evening but the later hours are less crowded.

I go everyday. I love this place. The group exercise is great and so is my personal trainer David. He is the best he is showing me how to properly use the equipment and encourages me with my weight loss journey and definitely puts me on the right track with my food

Nice as other crunch fitness place. Seemed little smaller than abilene, still had same amenities!

The lack of air conditioning is the biggest pitfall of this facility. As someone with lung issues, the hot, humid air makes it very hard to get a cardio workout in. The heat also makes the entire facility reek of human body odor in peak hours. I know others have complained about this, so hopefully the owners will take care of this issue.

I was told they had a member ship for 10.00 a month and I asked the lady if that was all crunch fitness gym. Because I was working 21 days on and 10 days off . So she told me I could go to the gym in Longview, Texas. Well a few months went by and got stopped in Longview gym. Because they had no record of me paying a year straight up. So these people in Midland gave me the run around . Till i went to my bank to get a bank statement and still gave me a run around.

BEWARE !!! DONT SIGN UP THEY WILL MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL. THEY WILL DO EVERYTHING TO KEEP YOU LOCKED IN.

The gym is great most of the time and has great equipment. But you really need new management. Monica is a horrible manager, very rude for no reason. If she doesn’t personally like you, she will find a way to justify canceling your membership and that’s exactly what she did with me. How do you tell members they are “too intimidating” for your gym and you can’t have that?LOL!Your gym will be much better when you have a manager who knows what they are doing and has much better professionalism about things. :))

The old management did a much better job keeping the equipment maintained. The current front desk members are FANTASTIC, always friendly and helpful. They always make sure to great everyone and tell them goodbye. My BIGGEST complaint is the manager Monica! She is very rude and disrespectful. When she decides to police the gym for people not wearing masks, she specifically targets certain groups (I’ve noticed mainly African Americans) and will interrupt mid set to tell you to put a mask on. If you don’t do it right away she will hover over you and keep telling you to do so. It’s entirely about her ego and not about people’s safety. She wouldn’t target individuals otherwise. If Crunch wants to keep its members and the good reputation it had, they better get a new manager quick. Monica is running the place into the ground like she did when she was a manager at Planet Fitness.

I have gone here nearly every day since I joined a few months back. So far there have been zero late openings, zero rude staff, no issue with equipment, and the tanning beds are never broken (and you don’t have to clean them yourself either...).1- I have never had any issues with broken equipment or stuff I had to fix myself.2- Dry Sauna is always clean and working.3- the bathrooms and shower stay pretty clean for as busy as they are.4- The beds are super nice and as far spray tan is concerned, they use VersaSpa.Zero complaints and well worth every penny of the less than $30 a month I pay for everything.

First off: Monica, the General Manager is the worst management I have ever seen. She belittled employees in front of gym members. She is the most uncomfortable person to be around because all she does is judge and a make people feel less. My experience at Crunch was only good because of the equipment being brand new, other than that I will not be returning to this facility and. I will make sure word of mouth gets around that Midland Crunch Fitness is a joke. Hopefully, the corporate office will get rid of her and install a more capable management professional.

Its a great gym, good prices as well as the facility itself is kept in great condition.Some of the main problems are that alot of the other members misuse and break equipment.Other than that not much complain about, although I hope they bring back their original hours before covid.

The [womens] bathrooms/locker room area was well laid out for the individual privacy of Crunch clients (not all off us look Hollywood-fabulous when unclothed! Lol well, YET, anyway😉)I feel less self-conscious working out in the Midland Crunch gym than Ive ever felt even just walking thru a shopping mall -- to mE, that really sets Crunch, AND its clientele, FAR apart from its competitor facilities. (Its uncomfortable feeling like the entire room is laughing at you, watching you out the corner of their eyes -- I dont feel that vibe At aLL at Crunch! Super refreshing.)Feeling insecure has prevented me from achieving my body goals for most of my adult life. Id like to *commend Crunch and the Crunch team* for creating/maintaining a consistently welcoming atmosphere inside the Crunch building. Thank you for making your services so affordable to a limited budget.Lastly, Id like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU(!) to the non-judgmental and friendly employees who all have been nothing short of GREAT!Im looking forward to one day achieving my health goals and it will be all thanks to the services offered within Crunch AND thanks to the amazing people that make up the Crunch Team. Way over crowded if you like to do free weights. Plenty of cardio machines available, however you will wait to get on machine weights. I have visited the gym twice at 4pm and the crowd is ridiculous!!

Called and emailed manager jayp in November 2020 for cancellation because I was moving and was high risk for covid. He said they’d charge me December and then it would be cancelled. Come January 2021, I get charged again and have to call to make sure it’s been cancelled. It had not been taken care of by the manager after he guaranteed it would have been. I had to forward my email from November again about my cancellation and still didn’t get a reply or confirmaron, like they told me they would. I called again to make sure I don’t get charged another month, by this point I’m very annoyed with them not keeping their word and resolving my issue. Another manager named Monica helped me and sent me email about my cancellation within a few minutes of being on the phone with me. It’s NOT hard to resolve a problem if you care enough about the people! Hopefully this time it’s actually cancelled and I don’t have to Call again for the same issue said to be taken care of months ago. My 1 star rating is because besides Monica there was no one really helping me and I could tell the other manager and employee did not care to resolve my problem. I was told I’d get cancellation emails but they never followed through! Don’t lie to people and waste their time. Have some integrity in what you tell your customers and actually do what you say. I’d list other complaints but this was the most upsetting/inconvenient.

I have had one of the WORST experiences with management in this location. I had upgraded my membership from the basic tier to the advanced tier membership back in January. I moved from midland and cancelled my membership the end of June. Any who, Crunch has been charging me for TWO memberships since January when Ive only had one. And to make it worse, Ive called the location numerous times in regards to a refund and left my contact information for a call back from the manager. I have not received one call or email from management (its been weeks). And they are continuing to charge the membership fee from my account.This location completely disregards their members and the communication is terrible, especially by the management. I will not be recommending this location to any of my friends or family back in Midland.

Crunch started charging a credit card I did not provide as recurring payment, I used the card for the $1 start up fee. Crunch at Midland keeps your payment methods in their files to use. This is very sketchy and unethical.

Giving this a one star because of how unprofessional the manager Monica is. Monica is extremely rude and very unprofessional. Based off the rest of the reviews i have had the same issues with Monica. Monica does not deserve to be in a management positions when she doesnt know how to treat her members fairly. It seems like she only like to attack a certain group. She will harass you in between your set just to put on your mask. Also if you have a complaint, good luck! Because shell just yell or give you attitude about it.

Clean workout area, nice restrooms and steam room kept up with.Not super busy and always has equipment open when they get busy. Some people just need to learn to re-rack their weights

The gym and equipment is clean and in great quality.The older staff is awesome.New manager Monica and new staff arent professional what so ever. The prices are fair and the group classes made me go back to gym again. I hope after COVID we will get back to normal hours. Sauna is the benefit that I just love. Not enough parking during peak hours is the only negative side, aside from some judgement looks when you are doing free weights by to the weights rack in the corner close to the entrance.

Monica the manager is very unprofessional and extremely rude. I have complained multiple times about an issue which she does not seem to care about, due to the fact that she’s done nothing about it and laughs about the issue. I also don’t understand her tone of voice. When I have complained she comes off with an attitude without even letting me finish. People would be more comfortable to approach her if only she didn’t have an attitude to begin with. Why work a position that you don’t know how to handle? She needs to be fired for being unprofessional and extremely rude to members.

The manager is legit the worst! There’s a safety issue with other guest following people and harassing other people. The manager, not knowing how she even got the position had attitude when brought up! Like it was an inconvenience for her! Then proceeded to roll her eyes! Crunch you NEED to step in! Find someone who actually loves people and loves being there!

I think its a great gym. They have what you need and more for a good price. I see reviews noting unprofessional behavior...I couldnt disagree more. The staff is always more than happy to help.

This place is incredible. You can get a great workout, massage, and tan all with your membership. Always feel awesome when I leave. They have so many machines that even when its a little busy you can always find something to do.

So far really impressed with the facility and staff. All the weights are always reracked, probably the best staffed gym in Midland. Staff is constantly walking the gym cleaning up, vacuuming, picking up trash, and the bathrooms have always been spotless. Few minor issues for me personally, I dislike that classes aren’t always held in a class room and are loud and distracting when trying to workout. Also limits you from being able to use some of the workout areas when these classes are going on. Also you pay more for access to things like sauna, locker rooms, R&R areas but this isn’t closely monitored so somewhat of a free for all. If it weren’t for these issues I would argue that this is by far the best gym in Midland.

If I could give a zero I would.Unbiased: Good facility, good equipment, decent staff.For me personally was trying out this gym and was not a fit for me, I failed to cancel in time before being charged the annual fee, was hoping they would be willing to help out since they failed to provide November that was promised to the first 500 that signed up. Guess that did not work out.

I have always hated gyms. I even had a year membership to planet fitness and went 3 times the whole year. It is something about this place. I feel comfortable and in my own space. I even goined 3 different classes such as zumba and bike riding which Ive never done my entire life but felt so comfortable. I feel I can grow at my own pace and what ever i dont know multiple trainers have assisted me in learning. I had one trainer even take the time to walk me through each machine and how to properly use it which is the main reason I go. The most intimidating thing about the gym is am I doing this right. The staff is good at making sure you are confident in your workouts. Thanks

I was turned away for not having a mask, went home to grab one. While I was leaving I seen the same gentleman that turned me away GIVE someone a mask that didn’t have one. No big deal but treat everyone the same!!

Well canceling my membership has been much harder than expected. Walked in expecting to fill out forms, front desk gave me an email. Emailed them and never heard anything back. Called up there Jay answered he said “I’ll tell him and let him know..” well ok.. so what does that mean? At least acknowledge that I am being canceled?! Tried to call today.. manager is not in. 🙄

The gym is ok for the price, but the staff and management need to learn professionalism. It is evident that they lack customer service and professionalism by their responses to these reviews. Memberships are not free and members reviews should be taken seriously, but the staff members respond with excuses.

Came in person and closed out both of my accounts in person in May after making several attempts to close it over the phone. They said I needed to come in person and I drop all the way from Houston to do so and she said the account was closed but am still getting bills till this day.

Horrible customer service. You can apparently sign up online and they have no problem taking your money, but you have to come into the store to cancel your membership. Makes a lot of sense. Won’t be getting my recommendation.

Joined long before is was open.. have been going last 3 days to get my membership card. And all they do is say they be here tomorrow.. 3 days of this.. how do you sell more memberships than you have cards for ..so open and weeks later still no access to gym because they don’t have cards.

HiYesterday I signed for basic membership and I went in and try to find a treadmill to run and I couldnt. It was 10 min. I was in and go to the counter and I said can you please cancel my membership? And will be any charge coz I was in not over 10 min? They said no it wont be. When I checked my bank account I saw the 43 usd charged immediately. I sent a e mail and visit the gym and they told me there wont be any refund coz you signed.I feel like somebody stole my money. 43 dollar doesnt make me poor or doesnt make me rich but even 50 cent fly away which is for free makes me feel like stolen money.So please be careful about this company. This is the way they work.

This gym is a joke. I began the free trial period and am disappointed at the lack of professionalism and customer service in the front. I waited in line for service and only one (a young lady), of the three employees were helping people, she was friendly, professional, and very helpful. The others stood around fooling with one another. The next day I saw the same behavior. After my cardio work out, I wanted to wipe me machine down. I could not find a single paper towel dispenser with paper towel in it. So I went to the front and notified Jeremiah. He told me he would notify someone. About 45 later, as I was walking out to leave, I noticed the same three dispensers were still empty. My debate with choosing to sign a year long contract with an entity that would not hold their end was over.

Just signed up today and alejandro helped us sign up and showed us around. He is so sweet so professional and made us feel welcome. Clean and friendly place. Im so happy about this gym

Great aerobic classes. The class sizes are small and sometimes, by the time I remember to sign up 22hrs before the class, its fully booked.

This is one of the best gyms in Midland. The staff is awesome and very helpful

Often crowded at peak hours. The childcare is a plus. Theres signs for masks but certainly not enforcement or even suggestions by staff to use them.

Monica Hinojosas is extremely unprofessional and clearly does not believe in medical exemptions. As I was kicked out and my membership was cancelled for NOT WEARING A MASK, I tried talking to her about my medical exemption or see if we could solve this issue. She continued to act as if she were in high school she laughed, harassed, and called the cops. 10/10 would NEVER recommend!

There is a manager there who was fired from Planet Fitness for being horribly rude to people (me included) When I asked for management she yelled and threw a fit. Well fast forward to now, she manages crunch and is back to harassing people. Really love the gym and everyone in it. But she ruins it. Super unprofessional and will harass you while trying to work out.

Love the classes and equipment! Now that weve been going for several weeks, u can figure out the times when its not so busy and get to use all the equipment. Hard to do in the other gyms in the area ANY time of day. The place is huge, the personal trainers on staff are willing to help answer questions even tho u r not their client, and the classes are well planned to cover pretty much any interest u may have. Soooo glad Crunch came to this area. No other gym offers everything they do for this price.. Believe me, Ive looked!

I went for a tan today and I love the stand up tanning bed u see a difference right away all the other ones I ever been to in Midland was nothing like these at crunch fitness and there tanning location black velvet is the best out of all them :) Im really going to like this place thanks crunch fitness:)

Was there with my baby waiting on a friend to enroll went to the big couch in the little waiting area by the entrance and Monica Hinojosa told me I couldn’t sit there . 😕 the sad part is, there was another family sitting there with no problem I felt that was rude and not professional the way she said it!

Just signed up, had a good workout only to cap it off with a broken hydromassage chair. After talking to the front desk, he assured me I was at the right seat and didnt need to sign in using the screen at the chair. Well I got the start button at the T-Max G2 located next to the chair and NOTHING.

The extra star is for the first month where I had the best experience and everyone seemed to be up on their game. Now, most of the main paper towel holders and/or sanitizer sprays are always out, except of course the one all the way across the entire room and the one behind the trainers area. That one is always full somehow. Who wants to walk back and forth during their entire workout, in the giant room, just to grab a towel and sanitizer to clean their bench. NOBODY!! Thats who. So all of yalls equipment is probably not very clean anymore. Which makes me not want to use some of it anymore. Please just fill them more often

Worst place ever not professional at all and doesn’t work with peoples problems I wanted to cancel the membership the manager was not helpful what’s so ever with me the whole time on the call wanted me to drive 10 hours to go cancel during a pandemic called other crunch fitness and they all said they would cancel the membership in situations like this except of course the midland location for whatever reason they don’t want to cancel my membership I’ve been trying for months now and nothing definitely wouldn’t recommend!!!

Would not recommend if youre looking for a gym with child care. Love the classes and instructors, but dont love brining my kids. Its disappointing that they have so many screens (TV and ipads). It feels like every time I look in child watch all the babies, kids, and sitters are staring at the movie. Just seems unnecessary, especially since pediatricians recommend no screen time for babies and limited for little kids. You would think a gym would promote healthy lifestyles for kids too.

I love it but their Manager Monica Hinojosa discriminated against my son bc of how small he is. Literally embarrassed him as he was working out. Says to me I need to take his birth certificate. We had already signed in. Employees signed us in looked at him said ok. Just sign the waiver form! Very upset and disappointed by her especially to be a manager. Then I see so many other teenagers and she or no other staff member going up to them. Pure discrimination. We had been working out for 1 full hour already.

This place can’t open when they said they would. Had everyone sign an agreement then they don’t meet them terms of their agreement. When they did finally open we go to get key tags they don’t have any. For the third straight day. Don’t waste your time or money. Mismanaged to day the least.

Way too busy, mostly girls taking up equipment that just go to the gym to be seen... Kick them out or tell them to move on...

I currently go to the one in Norman, Oklahoma and will do work based out of Midland, Texas. Its nice to see that there is a facility out that way.

Enjoyed the atmosphere; water massage was quite nice to end the workout.
