Friendly Staff and kept clean. Some machines occasionally dont work and take awile to get fixed but still a good place to workout.

This PF is huge! Lots of machines. First time to a real gym since covid started. Nobody with masks.

I was away from my gym so i droped in here, the men’s room was very clean and stocked, the employees were very friendly, the front desk was friendly about checking me in and helping find my day pass, the place was organized and clean. very good gym! not much free weights, no squat racks but other than that it’s a great gym with great employees!

Went here and I Compared it to the one in Henderson Nevada, and That one looks newer than this one, Will return!!

They have new equipment they actually get stuff fixed when its broken unlike some gyms. Staff is nice!

Great staff… very friendly and helpful. But the maintenance is terrible. Lots of machines are always broken and all the tanning beds have been out of service for quite some time.

Great assistance in helping us get things set up, and figured out. My husband couldn’t remember if he still had his membership, and the gentleman at the desk helped figure out if it was still active. He was also super helpful in getting my membership started, and was willing to answer all of our questions, and clarify things for us.

Awesome gym. Lots of equipment. Clean. Nice attendants. Love the 24/7 ones so I can go anytime.

Overall good value for the price, but I cant call it great since they close at 10 p.m., so I miss a lot of chances to work out.Pros: Clean, lots of equipment options, friendly staff, and plenty of space to work out without a crowd. They are renovating and so they seem to be trying to improve. I never feel unsafe going to and from my car, even in the evenings.Cons: They arent open late enough for my schedule (I would LOVE if they would at least open until midnight)The machines are kind of slow and some dont seem to load well, so sometimes I have to try three ellipticals before finding one that will turn on.There arent enough fans over the cardio area, only one big slow one, and the elliptical machines under it dont seem to work well at this time.I will update my review of these things change!

I got a good workout on the treadmill burned off the calories I consumed at breakfast and it felt so good to take a shower afterwards and use the massage chair. Day 1 was a blast and very productive. I can still feel the burn. I highly recommend Planet Fitness.

I enjoy going to work out at Planet Fitness because of the clean environment they offer and the variety of machines they have available. Their layout is great and the app is amazing to check in with and track your history check ins. The reward points for monthly check ins are a great incentive as well. I definitely recommend Planet Fitness as one of the best gyms in the area.

This is a busy but excellent gym. I still prefer this location over the Odessa location. I have to part ways but appreciate this location for being clean and on point. Angelo, the assistant manager is constantly greeting and saying goodbye to the hundreds of members coming in and out, I also appreciate him being so helpful. If youre a beginner looking for somewhere to start, this is the place.

I have been trying to cancel for 2 years. They never let me speak to a manager and said to email and they will get back to you. Not once did they ever respond. I would not suggest getting a membership with any planet fitness. Poor equipment and staff as well.

They have added more cleaning stations. Which is good. Getting back to business, whew I am sore.

They close at the drop of a hat for inclement weather. I want a pro rata share of my fees reimbursed for all the time that they close this gym. EDIT - you are still closed (3 days) and the roads have been bare for two days. The rest of the world is open and operating. Sure will save money on that heat bill!!! Not a free barbell in the gym. No power racks. Free weights are extremely limited. If you are serious about fitness, then this gym is not the right place for you.

Wish it was 24 hrs again I work nights and get off around midnight or later so I have to sacrifice sleep for the gym most other places in tx are 24 hr again must be a population control thing in Midland and Odessa

Large gym with plenty of equipment. Unfortunately I was not aware that planet fitness only wants sissies in their gym as I had never been to one. They talk about no judgement this and that but theyre judging people who really want to work out with their lunk alarm and various other ridiculous rules and policies.

I have been a member here for over 2 years, the staff as always been good, its has always been clean and very few problems that they would fix when informed about. Here is the problem My son and I gone in this morning for our daily work out and was stopped and refused entry because we did not have a mask on. Ok sounds fair so far. But the employee that stopped us refuses to wear a mask him self. All the time i have seen him in there working he has never had a mask on once. What make it worst he was conducting business with someone at the desk an neither of them where wearing mask. The person I am talking about is the older guy with a scruff beard and pot belly. The way I see it with employees lake this maybe its time to change gyms.

On a road trip and stopped to use their shower. The staff was friendly and place was clean but water 💧 pressure was almost nonexistent. I double checked other showers and they were the same. I let the staff know but still a disappointment.

Ive been a member since day 1. I understand that its hard to hire quality workers but not opening at the appropriate time is not good. Im here on a Sunday, supposed to open at 7, its 8. Thinking hard about changing places. This is unacceptable.

This Plante fitness is very clean and respectful with everyone and the restroom are very clean this place is very organize as well weights are very clean and sanitization places around the facility so I recommend for other customers to come in and join our member ship here make a good life with us.

Water fountains haven’t been working at this location for quite some time now. They don’t have water provided but want to charge 1$ for water bottles. We pay a gym membership and expect all amenities that we pay for to be working. They charge full price but can’t fully deliver to their customers. Poor quality of management to be charging for something we already pay for. Running water should be expected at any fitness area.

Some of the machines not working. Paper towel dispensers empty. Disinfectant spray bottles empty. Same locks on lockers means people using them as their own storage instead of only while in the gym. Most of the head phone Jacks do not work correctly. Only reason I go there is because it is close to home.

Of all the gyms, they truly have the most casual environment. The judgement free zone is actually practiced which makes it really enjoyable to workout there. Really clean with excellent equipment.

I like how they spread all the machines out to allow plenty of social distancing. Seems like theres new machines from my last visit.

Opening hour are wrong, Never any updates on when close or open and always saying they forgot the keys. Bad business

A lot of the machines have been out of order for weeks.Only one tanning bed.All the other gyms in the area have changed back to 24hrs.

Clean, friendly and tons to offer!

I really enjoy this gym, joined about four months ago. The price to equipment ratio is great, we waited for a special and paid a twenty five cent sign up fee with no contract. It is open twenty four seven and gets busy between six and nine pm Monday through Thursday. There is all the equipment you could ever want plus black membership gets access to tanning beds and hydro massage. I am not a black membership tier so I cant give any info on that but the place is clean and the people friendly.

When all the machines are working, its a great workout, with little to no wait time on machinery. The bathrooms have good storage space for my change of clothes, and the staff is friendly. I really enjoy using the facilities, they have all the machines I need!

This is a pretty good place...being 66, Im going to continue to keep myself in the best shape I can for as long as I can. Staff are inspirational and gives you encouragement. Mostly friendly folks. I wish the music would be piped to the machines so I could plug in my headphones to it. Other than that, I will be a member for as long as possible. Gets pretty crowded in the locker room sometimes, but after my career in the military, used to it. One of the friendliest places I have been a member of. I highly recommend checking It out.

Dirty and lazy employees fail to keep facilities clean. Couldnt cancel my account during covid and ended up being charged additional months.Definitely recommend this place if youre a fan of dirty equipment and potential viral contamination 👍

Well it is liberal Planet Fitness. Equipment is always well maintained, usually very clean- No scales, and no hurt feelings- Some of these cats are literally destroying their bodies but everyone stays to themself and it works. I love that all the cities I work have one... Thanks!

Canceled my contract over 6 months ago in person and on line. However they continued to bill me over and over. My bank blocked them, then they changed their billing name and tried charging me again. BE WARNED!!!!! still trying to stop their billing! Its insane and fraudulant!

I cancel my contract literally 2 years ago and just realized they kept on charging me !!!! It’s frustrating to know I’m not the only person going through this! Unfortunately I don’t live in midland anymore to go in person so anytime I call I have to talk to a different person and all of them tell me the same thing(the manager would call me back) that never happens.

I finally canceled my membership after going there for a year. Its dirty. They always run out of towels and cleaner or the bottle doesnt work right. If a machine is broken it stays broken FOREVER. The staff doesnt care when you tell them about an issue. I can never get anyone to answer the phone. I called to cancel and talked to a guy that supposedly canceled my membership but didnt because I was still charged the annual fee. I went in to cancel and the guy who works up front didnt care when I told him about, y issue. He canceled my membership but Im still going to be charged for this month which he couldnt explain to me and when I asked to speak to management I sat there forever before giving up and walking out. I have called their corporate number and have been sitting on wait for 20 minuets. They suck!

Its planet fitness... Theyve put a lot of effort into a recent remodel by nearly doubling the floor space, adding more Smith racks and room for free weights, an area for a calesthenic workout and a couple new True Stretch devices. The staff does a pretty good job of keeping things clean and stocked and theyre pretty friendly. Ive seen a lot of the same faces for a few months now, so most everyone knows whats going on if you need help.

The Midland location has every machine and amenity. They recently did an expansion, and I would now say this is the best gym in Midland. Kudos to the owner for pouring profits back into the members. The staff is always friendly and helpful. If childcare was offered, I would be able to use my membership so much more.

I visit many PFs thanks to my work travels. This particular 1 in Midland management must not visit it or care about this facility for over a year I have told them the mens restroom is missing a soap dispenser, I have seen roaches around the place, the trash is full. It appears it was recently remodeled but needs to be kept up with. Odessa, Hobbs San Angelo are all in the are same region and dont seem to have that problem. Pride in your facility people.

Let me say theyre better than half a year ago and seem to have noticed the dust because there is serious cleaning going on when I come in. People really need to not sit on machines on their cellphones. Go sit in the lockerroom and handle that business. Were not impressed. Nice muscle shirt bud, muscles come in tomorrow?

Tried several times to stop withdrawals after losing our jobs and they still are unwilling to make adjustments. Very difficult even to the point of using a different number to withdraw funds after I blocked them.

First tanning experience at PF. March 22nd 2019. Tanning bed was not cleaned after previous use. Thats gross! Floor was gross too. Hoping my next visit will be better. If not, Im stopping my membership.

I love this gym. They have a great combination of free weights, aerobic equipment and machines, and a great stretching area with new pads. When things break, they get fixed pretty quickly. The floor is rubberized, so you dont even really need the pads. The staff are friendly. You cannot beat the price of this gym, either! This gym is definitely geared towards the average guy and gal who want to stay fit or get back in shape; not for people who want to get super big and compete. There are barbells, weight stacks, and dumbbells, machines, treadmills, bikes and places to do body weight exercises and circuit training. There is a personal instructor if you need help with a program. If you want tanning, massage and other similar services, its available, but theres an up charge and you get whats called black card membership.

I just recently joined and everyone I have met that works there is really nice. Some of these other reviews say the staff is rude. I never felt like that at all. I mean people have to understand that standing behind a counter and cleaning things for 8 hours sucks no matter who you are. I think the staff is great. The gym is really nice and clean and also not crowded. I have been there at peak times and it still isnt over crowded. I am glad I joined and for $23 dollars a month its a good deal. Yes it does say $19.99 for the Black card but if your gonna cry over $3 dollars like the guy in the earlier review just workout at home. I mean some gyms in this area are a $100 a month, that is a joke! Thank You Planet Fitness I always have a good time there.

I love the total body enhancement machine, the massage tables and chairs and access to tanning! I find it extremely convenient that there are two of every weight machines and several bikes & ellipticals. I also love that if we elect to, we can have a fitness trainer. The BEST thing I like is that we can bring a guest for free! That is how I decided to purchase my own membership. I was a free guest of my mother who is a member. Now I take MY daughter and as soon as she can afford it, (new job) she too will be getting her own black card membership!!

The staff at Planet Fitness Midland does an outstanding job. The gym is always clean but on Wednesday it was spotless. They are always so nice and professional.. Nice place to workout in. Lots of machines, so mostly no wait time. It’s fresh, not musty. Lots of TVs so it makes the time go faster.

Worst place on earth they fired me over a video, and they under pay all workers . And Monica the manger is awful . We had 3 COVID cases customers that came and not a single one was reported. Everything they do is shady and they will steal your money

This was my first time going to this location. At the time I am writing this, there is construction going on. The locker rooms are not done. There are lockers available, but if you are coming from work or going to work after I am not sure where you would even change clothes at, much less shower. The hydro massage area is not up and running yet. I did not see the total body enhancement station anywhere. There are still plenty of machines. That being said there is not a solid place to stretch. The machines are closer together, because half the building is taped off under construction. Half the TVs were not on. They do have the 30 minute circuit area, but not the 12 minute abs. It was not being monitored. I went early afternoon, but I imagine after work let’s off it is really busy and there could be a wait for machines. Because everything is squished together, it seems busier than normal. They did have the air really moving in the gym. This gym will get the job done, but it sucks if you are a black card member and can’t use half the things you are paying for. Hopefully the construction gets done fast (looks like they bought the space next door and are expanding) and the experience is better.

This is my home away from home. There is always a machine open and everyone is really friendly. The fact that they limit their classes to five people is super because you get that one on one training feel without being singled out.

The price is right! It has a huge variety of equipment. People dont bother you. Facilities with showers and lockers. They keep the place very clean.

Great gym. The staff is awesome and does their best to make sure rules are followed without being rude. The bathrooms are clean with staff members regularly checking on them every 30 minutes and an hour. However the changing rooms collect water over time. The gym could be bigger but renovations are coming soon.

I must come from an amazing PF home gym, because this PF is such crap. The tanning rooms are so cold and the beds are dirty, I wont use them again. The locker room is separate from the area where you change. Im not comfortable with having to walk across the way in my towel to get dressed (where all of my things are....ALONE). I dont think the staff are supposed to be staring at the phone when it rings, and rolling their eyes.. but, no surprise, thats what happens. The staff literally look around the gym, but do nothing. Its hilarious. Easy paycheck I guess. Not clean. Wont be going back as much as I can help it. Choose another gym!!

The Midland location is fairly close by and not too crowded in the mornings I visit. I just wish members would not hog a machine when they HAVE TO RIGHT NOW take or place a cell call, text, message, look something up on their cell. Especially when they are on one of a kind machines.

Nothing wrong with gym when I used it just be careful on membership. I signed what I thought was a one year membership well apparently theyll keep charging you and the only way to get out of the membership is to go into the gym in person to cancel. Not possible for an oilfield worker that lives 8 hrs away and no longer works in the area. Terrible policy so beware or you could end up like me having paid for 2 years worth of a membership that never gets used.

I only come here at night so that is all I can comment on but the guys on the night shift are great. If they arent helping a customer, they seem to always be cleaning something. Bathroom/locker room always seems clean. Maybe doesnt smell the best lol but thats not the fault of the employees. Always there to help me with black card perks including tanning beds and massage chairs. Im not much of a gym during the day person because I like to work out in a less crowded environment but I would definitely recommend this location anytime after 10pm from experience!

Cleanest gym in town thus far! For the price and the cleanliness you cant beat it. There are no fancy classes and you will not find a lot of free weight equipment laying around. The locker rooms are clean and well kept minus the simple wear and tear of being used. The floors are clean and there is always someone cleaning something somewhere. Crowded from around 5 pm to about 10 pm Ive always been able to find something available. The parking lot is not well lit but there are a lot of spots close to the front. Again, of all the gyms it has been the cleanest.

I joined after a heart attack. Soon realized how much i had missed working out. After years of driving truck. I feel great now to lose cpl inches after quiting smoking. Black card is way to go. Been to pf in 12 states and all over texas.

Dirtiest PF in the nation. Bathrooms stink all the time. Men’s bathroom is disgusting and small. No ventilation and people take dumps and you can’t escape the stench. Floors dusty and dirty. Minimal housekeeping at this location. Equipment rarely cleaned. Staff are rude. Dont go here ever but certainly not if you want to train legs since they only have 3 leg exercises. After 6 months they asked me to leave for using a rubber band to stretch my shoulders. If you desire to train harder than 2/10 Planet Fitness will tell you that they don’t accommodate ‘your type’. Planet Fitness body shames fit people.

If you want to use the 30 minute circuit forget it. People get on the circuit machines that arent using the circuit and make it impossible to complete the circuit the way it was designed. When asked to move they refuse. Tried talking to management and the woman there speaks condescendingly with a fake smile. When we tried to explain that staff was telling people they could start at any point in the circuit(heard them with our own ears), she disagreed with us without listening. After 5 visits in a row of attempting to use the circuit and having people in our way, I am just over this gym. (For those of you who dont know, the 30 minute circuit room is a room specially designed to be completed in 30 minutes. Machines and steps are numbered starting at one and a green/red light tells you when to switch. There is signage that states the room is only for people using the circuit. The issue arises when someone decides to use the machines but they arent changing out with the circuit. This blocks people from using the proper machine when they arrive at that number.)

I got lucky I went to Midlands planet fitness that had really friendly front counter staff I have been working my tail off all day came in sweaty dirty and tired lacking sleep and they sign me up for one free day and just took a long hot shower and worked out for about half an hour thank you you guys were amazing bless you

Just moved here from Houston.. this location sucks. Staff is nice but the gym is so small and it’s always so warm inside. No stair stepper and I pay 20 dollars a month. They need more equipment

Been visiting this location for past couple weeks and staff does well on shop keep, cleanliness, keeping towel paper and sanitizer stocked on the gym floor. Mens locker room kept up as well with clean stalls and clean mirrors with no trash on the floor. Staff also friendly and attentive to customer needs. Didnt run into any broken machines and the times Ive gone havent been terribly busy. Keep up the good work!
