Horrible communication, personal is pretty lack of professionalism, treatment with the members, if someone STOLE something from others members they will doesn’t will going to have the interest of helps you or take care of that, just will going to laughing at you, tends to sing up contracts using address and name of other people being that illegal, pretty poor personal with a really bad lack of professionalism and seriousness.Really dissatisfied, disappointed and ungrateful with the attention, services and lack of professionalism, now can understand why the company needs to launch promotion every month, with that pathetic personal that got working to them of course that no one wants to go.So if you really wants to save your money and time, don’t sing up with them cuz u neither will going to feel safe neither, and said that by my own personal experience.

Be careful with this gym and things that you leaving in one of the lockers bathroom BECAUSE IF YOU LOSE SOMETHING THE COMPANY DOESNT WILL GOING TO CARE AND NEVER WILL GOING TO TAKING CARE FOR THE SAFETY OF HIS CUSTOMERS, they just will going to wash his hands, do the theater that will going to see the cameras and thats it.So if I was one of you, would have lot of care for the things that will going to bring to the installations and things that will going to leave it in one of the restrooms lockers.

It’s almost literally impossible to cancel a membership at TruFit. i’ve called numerous times throughout the year, being charged every month, even after the first time i called, i was told it was cancelled & still charged me every month thereafter.Wasted money & time

I just barely started going. But so far I like it!! Lots of space, very clean, late hrs, friendly staff, and everything works!

Horrible trying to cancel membership! It’s been 12 months this month of august, which means my membership for the 12 months should be over, came in 4 days early to make sure my membership is canceled after the year and so it doesn’t roll over to month to month to which they tell me they needed a “30 day notice” to cancel and that either way it won’t cancel until I pay ANOTHER month and call a certain number that doesn’t even answer calls or calls back. HORRIBLE do your research and do NOT go here. And don’t even bother commenting back TruFit!!

Don’t go to this gym. I called to cancel my membership because I was moving to another state. They never answered my calls so of course they continued taking money of my bank account for about 4 months. So I called to my bank to stop the transactions also I had to change the card. Today I received a email they want now contact me because I didn’t pay.They want you pay even when you are moving out of the state, because my boyfriend moved weeks before me and they told him “you need finish the payment”. This gym don’t deserve your money, they are just a scam.

Got locked into a contract against my will and they now want my money for what? An Extremely subpar experience, the sauna never worked. Weights were never racked where they were supposed to be, not to mention consistently dirty. They charged me 45 bucks a month no contract supposedly. Nope a whole year. I only learned this once i heard crunch fitness opened and was only 10 bucks a month no contract, working sauna, honestly its a joke trying to get ahold of these people. I truly mean what i say and if your looking for a membership with a solid gym. DONT come to Trufit.

Ive been at this gym since it was Heroes, I love the gym overall. It gets dirty yes but the people can also do their part. The daycare is absolutely my favorite my daughter has gone since she was 2 shes almost 5 and Priscilla has been there since and we love her. Leilani does zumba and shes absolutely awesome, shes very encouraging and enthusiastic. I also do Strong by zumba and thats with Sandra and Alexis, they are amazing, this class will leave you sore but they show all levels. I also did one on one training with Gaby, she was great very hard and pushed me to My limits and helped me learn so much. I havent had any bad experiences here the staff is friendly the womens area is small but nice. Just wish the zumba room would get fixed.

I started at this gym way back when it was Golds. It was always one of the best gyms I had ever been in. The quality and variety of the equipment gave you options to do multiple variations of lifs abd the old school equipment was really effective. Today I went in for a day pass and saw that in tru Trufit fashion the real gym equipment had been replaced with gimmicky new equipment. Definitely hate to see a good gym ruined by a company that doesnt know a thing about fitness.

Do NOT sign up for this gym. Do not sign up for the training. They will “assign” you a trainer who ends up only wanting to do virtual and when stated it won’t work out no one will ever get back to you about a switch. Then you’ll be paying for services never received and NOT get a refund. I ended up moving back home after 2 months with this gym and sent in my certified letter to corporate WHICH was stated in their contract I have. Never got a call, never got an email, never got any sort of communication. Called corporate and they said I had to send it to the actual location along with my new lease agreement stating I moved away. After sending in the lease agreement the First Lady for the gym was very nice and said they’d take care of it. The training part never got back to me until I did a follow up email which also stated I wouldn’t be getting a refund for services not used and that the actual 30 days cancellation started when they received the documentation not when corporate got the letter which is what is stated In THEIR FAQ AND CONTRACT. Do not sign up ever.

I have been trying to cancel my membership for 6 months. I’ve sent a letter by mail, dropped off a letter, asked to speak up a manager in person and have called corporate. Month after month I’m still being charged.

Before you sign up just know that to cancel you have to show two specific pieces of mail showing that you moved. And after you show those they may or may not get back to you in a timely manner. Also after you say that you want to cancel because of relocation there is a 30 day notice you must give them only so they can charge you another month. I would not recommend this gym.

I have tried to cancel my membership for weeks to no avail. Every # given is either bogus or not working or forces you to leave a message and no one calls you back!!! Yes I have gone to the gym and still that membership maintenance # is bogus too! It doesnt matter what time you call!

Please dont fall victim to their membership scam, you will have to sign away on a keypad as they re write the membership behind you. I got scammed when I told the representative I was only staying for 5 months he had me signed then put a 12 month contract after I signed the keypad only to know this 5 months later when I tried to cancel. 100% WOULD GO TO CRUNCH / LA / GOLDS / 24 / ANYTIME Ive been a member at all of them and TRUFIT IS BY FAR THE WORST.

Terrible customer service

Loved this gym when it was Heroes. Was excited for all the updates and changes but new management is unfriendly. It appears someone didn’t do their market research when buying the franchise. Salary for workers is so low they can’t keep child care fully staffed, violating child care licensing guidelines. As a power lifter I was never informed of the no chalk changes no signs were ever posted nor were we notified in advanced. But was yelled at from across the gym by employees here. Not approached or spoken to like an adult. I have taken my business elsewhere even though my contract was grandfathered in. Heroes would allow you to cancel your membership, Tru Fit does not. Even though I offered to pay my dues in one lump sump to just be done with them. I was told this was not an option and that I had to find someone to “take over the rest of my contract.” However my signed contract that was grandfathered in does not say any of these conditions! What is this a cult or a gang? People who I know have been able to cancel their membership due to not being under contract are still being charged and have filed fraud alerts to their banks. Making me even more weary of when I can finally cancel mine.

Super helpful over the phone with my questions. Went in for 3d Fit Body Scan, was immediately helped by front end personel, then escorted to private area for scan. You have an awesome crew !

All brand new equipment and it is good stuff, however its all packed on one side and the other side is almost empty. They also play the music way to loud and you can barely hear someone next to you talk to you and you can hardly hear your own music even with earphones in and when asked to turn the volume down they refuse.

This place is a JOKE! Screwed my 17 year old son out of $75. We were both lied to, I was told I was signing a permission slip for him to have his TRIAL training session. When the date came about, the trainer was sick.. Understandable correct? So its rescheduled, I bring my son up there at the SCHEDULED time. The trainer is too busy.. The trainer then goes to the computer and says my son is delinquent by $75 according to his contract. He never recieved his TRIAL! So I called corporate and talked to the branch (Meta) they said nothing could be done! So I asked for my membership to be canceled. They said NO because I was under contract, and my son had to pay ANOTHER $75!! This place is full of crooks! Do NOT use this gym..

Worst staff, wouldn’t let me explain my problem. Supposedly I never canceled my membership (which i did). Still keep charging me because “i never cancelled it”. Top they were charging my girl for two accounts. They didn’t know what they were doing at all and couldn’t explain nothing. Luckily cooperate cleared up everything for us. The staff was very rude and don’t know how to talk to customers. Dont go to this gym unless you want to pay for extra memberships.

Do not go to this gym. Mold, buckling floors, constant leaks from the sealing as well as half the machines do not work. The instructors are the only good thing about this place.Customer service from Miriam Ponce the administrative assistant at Midway and also Erika Rendon at corporate is horrible.I would avoid this gym and go to a better staffed and a gym that wasn’t pieced to together.

Incredibly rude management. Had a question for the on duty manager today and she was aggressive, hostile, and cussed at me. That was just today. Sales woman got us into a month to month contract for $10 and assured us there were no other fees. Then we get hit with an annual fee she conveniently didn’t tell us about, even when we asked directly. The facility is fine but the staff and management are so unreal that it’s not worth it. Save your time and find another gym. If you do decide to sign up, don’t get fooled by the sales staff who aren’t too low to lie straight to your face.

This is a gym that aint pretty, but has everything you could want if youre looking to get fit. They have a large free weight and separate machine areas. There is also a separate ladies workout room with weights and machines. The rooms for classes are quite big and there seems to be a good number of fitness classes going on all day long. Im enjoying working out here...

I had an amazing experience with Charles and Jude they were very helpful with all my questions and concerns.They made sure i got everything i needed and made sure i got the plan that was right for me i would highly recommend them.

Do not, under any circumstances sign a contract with them !! You might as well sign a contract with the devil. I signed mine well over a year ago and when I moved away and tried to pay the cancellation fee they wouldnt allow it and told me I had to pay until the year was up. Thats not cool I thought but alright. When the year was up I kept living my life under the assumption they wouldnt charge me anymore. Oh God, how wrong I was!! It turns out they changed their name or something and that entitled them to renew my contract and keep charging me. In their heads, I assume, it made sense. Now I have to make a 9 hour trip to Midland from South Texas just to cancel because they said and I quote cannot fix it over the phone.Next month when youre trying to get in shape to fulfill your New Years resolution and happen to glance at this gym, just do your wallet a favor and turn your attention elsewhere. Youll thank me later.

Literally the most comfortable gym Ive ever been to. Has own work out room for women- sold me on that. Super clean. And great equipment.

It used to be a great gym until Tru Fit came and remodeled it. The equipment is all packed into one area and now its just a waste of time.Membership cancelled due to changes.

I LOVE this gym! I love the fact that there is a separate area for ladies only and that I can bring the kids to the kids care while I get my work out in! The staff is wonderful and my personal trainer is AWESOME!! I would highly recommend Nancy Nguyen to anyone trying to reach a goal!

Very rude staffI signed a 12 month contract back in sep 2018It’s we’re supposed to end sep 2019So I thoughtI used hero’s gym for six month then stop goingKnowing that I signed 12 months so I’d figured it would just end. Turns out they kept charging me for 6 extra months Going into feb 2020They were very rude when I called to find out why the were still charging me.I didn’t even know they had moved locations and changed there name. I didn’t get any information stating the change.That for one should have been reason to cancel any contract, I did not signed up with tru fit.But yeah told me I couldn’t cancel Over the phone. I went in to do Cancel and they said they were still going to charge me another month.The company is full of sh!t and liesVery conniving and deceptive staffDon’t go to that gym.

Do not do business here. I had an annual contract. Called and told them to let it expire. They are still going to charge me because its not 30 day notice. Sent certified mail saying to cancel. Very rude customer service called me to let me know they will still be charging me. Im cancelling because they are dirty, the staff is rude and the childcare is always closed. This is a really nice gym and most surprisingly its not too crowded most of the time. I have been a member for over a year and I now prefer this location to the other on loop 250.

Moved equipment out that could be used to alleviate wait time, and replaced it with crossfit type equipment that most dont use.No fans upstairs in cardio area, ITS HOT!!No guest wifi, like at the other location and every other modern gym.It was better as Heroes.

I feel like theyve given up attempting to fix the restrooms. The stall closest to the wall has been out of service for months now. Two urinals and another stall have been out of service for at least 1 month.It was absolutely disgusting today. (Posted 2019)Update August 2021: Leadership appears to not care about the appearance or cleanliness of the facility. Ive tried giving them the benefit of the doubt for the past few years, but when you constantly see the employees playing on their phones instead of cleaning or making repairs day in and day out, I now recognize the culture that is established at this location should not be rewarded with my membership. Since these are business culture issues (thats not my job attitude) they can only be corrected by the leadership group and fault lies squarely with leadership. Please lead your people by example, they will enjoy their job more if you challenge them all to enhance the overall customer experience.

Its a great gym as far as what they have to offer. The only issue with the gym is the management time after time get complaints of their employees harassing and in some cases their the trainers are sleeping around with members. I over heard recently that there was an issue with a member and a trainer named Matrix Alexander Lopez to be exact that he was sleeping with a members wife and the member got suspended while the trainer that is employed there didnt get fired or suspended for his actions. A lot of members are leaving due to the lack of respect and professionalism that is carried at Heroes Fitness here in San Angelo tx. Be cautious friends or this could happen to you!

Gymtimadation can be overwhelming for some people but honestly for me I love it. It has anything that you could ever need. Would highly recommend.

We generally enjoy both Midland locations and are in attendance most days of the week. One issue my wife and I both have, though, is the volume of the music upstairs in the Meta location. It is often loud to the point that one cant even drown it out with earphones. (Kinda reminds one of an 80s disco as opposed to a serious gym)Employees will turn it down if asked, however, next time same problem. It sure would be nice to balance upstairs and downstairs volume levels because this issue does not seem to occur on the first floor.Bill and Brooke Mueller

Be careful signing a contract. My husband is a pipeliner and never stays in one town for more than a few months. When he signed up to use this gym, he told them this and they offered him a month to month contract. He paid more a month, around $46, to do the month to month thing. Then he moved to a new job and called to cancel his membership. They told him it was cancelled. They kept charging us and month after month we kept calling to cancel! Then, a couple months ago we see a charge for $80 from a place called TruFit gym. We called, and they said they were heros fitness but under a different name. Again, we tried to clear this up but they would never have a manager call us back. So we disputed the charge through our bank. Our bank said they sent in a 12 month contract signed by my husband. THEY FLAT OUT LIED. He had agreed to a month to month and was paying MORE to have it that way and not only did they keep charging us, but then we got that $80 charge which is double what they normally charge from a gym in a whole different city weve never even been to! Our bank also charged us $30 for the investigation that they ultimately denied us because this gym has a so called contract. Unbelievable!

This gym would get 5 stars if they would just clean the Mens showers one time! There is literally mold and mildew growing in the showers and you run the risk of picking up athletes foot! It baffles the regulars because the staff will rack weights, sweep/mop the gym floor, repair equipment and wipe down equipment daily. When it comes to cleaning the showers they just dont do it. Its mind boggling because the owners will spend thousands of dollars on vibrating massage chairs and place an ribbon board for outside advertising but all they really need to do is to make their staff do a better job! Its very frustrating because this is the only gym downtown.

I have Been out of town due to a family member being put into a coma, trying to get ahold of ANYONE for almost 2 and a half weeks to help with my account. Dial tones and just constant ringing phones. Finally get ahold of some front desk worker at the OTHER location and I’m recommended/told I need to come in person with medical forms proving what has happened. I mean IF I was in town and able to do so I would not of been banging my head on the wall for these past 2 and a half weeks but stupid me I should of just came in. Instead of using this glorious invention called a damn telephone. I don’t even care anymore about this gym honestly at this point I’m ready to just cancel my membership. It should not take weeks to get ahold of anyone that can freaking help.

Facilities and equipment are dated, but in good shape. I give it 5 stars because there is always room to do your workout.

U can get a full workout here! That I like but the place is very poorly maintained. Some machines don’t work probably but overall equipment is good. Reason for 1 star is they ignore several complaints of Maintance. Men’s restrooms are filthy and always missing something. But they will charge a full price though

I first joined Heroes because I needed a lifestyle change. I knew I couldnt do it by myself so I looked into a personal trainer. If you are like me and need extra encouragement to get to the gym then I highly recommend a personal trainer through Heroes. They ask you to fill out a questionnaire and place you with the trainer that best fits your wants and needs. I was placed with Marisella. She provides me with the motivation I need to actually go to the gym and holds me accountable for what I do on the days we dont meet. She is exactly what I needed and I could not be any happier with the results I am seeing. Thanks Marisella!

I like the gym, the only problems that I had with the gym is the ladies showers they were just awful. The other problem is a couple of male staff members go in the woman’s center and start showing off how much the can bench.

This gym has more equipment per square ft than what Ive seen in a long time....its just not in great shape. You can search for 10 minutes and maybe if youre lucky, you can find a matching set of dumb bells. The free weights and plate weights are so disorganized it has become frustrating; I have to check every dumbbell I pick up to make sure the ends arent going to fall off. I would figure as many people as they have sitting around ALL OF THE TIME, that someone would get bored enough to take initiative, but nope. Cables-Always waiting. Foam rollers or anything for stretching- non existent. Maybe I got used to more health centered towns, but its still better than anything else Ive found for the price.

Clean, well air-conditioned and great environment. Cant complain!

I like it because there is a room with machines and next to the Day Care! For those moms with young children !! So we can be relaxed hahaha !! And the best near my house !!
