I had to find a restaurant for my husbands funeral luncheon. Thank goodness, I found Vero Cucino! Their Chef worked with me to create a menu to accommodate all preferences of those that would attend. People arent kidding about the huge portions, it was physically impossible for me to finish mine and Im a big guy. Flavors were excellent, our waitress was fantastic, just what we wanted after a long day.

OH...MY!!! I havent had Italian food like this since I worked with a lady from Sicily. The wait staff was perfect, the food came out at a good pace. I would definitely recommend.

The food is always on point and the service has never been anything but great! The eggplant rollatini is usually my favorite go to but you cant go wrong with anything in that menu.

New to the area & tried Vero Cucina for the 1st time. Ordered Spaghetti Carbonara & Eggplant Rolatini which came with a side of pasta. Both meals were freshly made & very yummy! The owner/chef came out after we ate to ask about our meals. Definitely will be back! 😋

I went to Vera Cucina a week ago because I saw the 4.5 stars on Google reviews and was looking for a great Italian restaurant that was close to my house. I called ahead and they had available seating. When I showed up their parking lot was half full on a Saturday night. That is usually not a good sign. The menu looked promising with plenty of specials and a wide array of dishes. We ordered the pasta carbonara, the gnocchi, and the chicken saltimbocca. Unfortunately, only the gnocchi was good. The carbonara lacked salt and was the very traditional oily version versus the creamy version. We added lots of grated parmesan but it was only passable. The chicken saltimbocca was over cooked prosciutto on 2 chicken breasts with melted blobs of mozzarella. These were served over a bed of pasta in oil. Again, I think this is traditional, but I prefer a version that is over a creamy pasta. Finally, the help seemed to be in a little bit of an argument amongst themselves of who would serve which tables. The server for our table was initially friendly and attentive, but over time proved to be more verbose than is ideal for a family meal. We ordered a cannoli to go, and found it was less than impressive. So, in conclusion, a good restaurant is worth the wait. This one had a half empty parking lot.

This place never ceases to amaze me. Fresh ingredients. Amazing staff. Talia, owner Tazo have treated me like family since I started coming here. The food is delish. The drinks are strong. Once you come, you’ll become a regular. Trust me!

This place should get 10 stars! The food was AMAZING! The pizza crust is not too thin, not too thick, and just the right flavor and texture; crisp and chewy. Get the Fall Bruschetta, it was so delicious! And I cant say enough about the service. The entire staff was attentive and made us feel like family. I cant wait to go back!

Would have given a higher rating if it were only based on my first visit....first time dine in, Pam was my waitress, and what an awesome experience with her...the food was amazing!!Second visit ....ordered online....awful experience! Mashed potatoes tasted like mashed “garlic” with potatoes, the pork loin was 3 tiny 2x3” dry meat! The only thing I liked was the steamed green beans!!Step it up for us that have “on the go” type orders.I will still be back, but only because of Pam!

Not sure how this place has 4.5 stars! They must have a lot of family and friends writing reviews. This was the worst food we have every had! We ordered 5 apps and I threw them all out. They tasted oily, salty, and 6 months past the expiration date. Soooo disappointed! Beware of this place!

Their small pizzas are huge and the size of a normally large pizza. Went there for lunch and got the big spud pizza and it was amazing. The crust was perfect and reminded me of Pepes pizza in New Haven.

I wanted so badly to like this place. I always support the local businesses rather than chains, especially now. The pizza was so soggy it was hard to eat. Albeit good flavor just a soggy mess. Ordered a large Noni’s chicken soup to try. 8.95 for a 16oz Large?? It’s like 3.00 cheaper on the regular menu. Rip off. Sorry Noni, not even good. I gave 3 stars because the flavors were good and think we may have hit them on a bad night. I will try one more time.

Excellent vegan cheese...I was starting to get suspicious theyd accidently made my pizza with real cheese but no symptoms of milk protein exposure! I asked the brand and they said its a homemade recipe... Highly recommend!

We went to see our friends band. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the menu is great. The bread is freshly baked everyday and everything is fresh. We ordered the linguine and white clam sauce and the chicken parmigiana. It was absolutely delicious! The portions were generous. The only negative about the experience was because of a very inattentive waitress. She has no business being in the restaurant business. The owner made every attempt to apologize and comped us a cocktail. He is pleasant and ambitious. What a delight.! We will definitely be back only will not be waited n by Pam.

AMAZING vegan caprese panini! I had heard about their vegan chesse and I am pleased to say it exceeded expectations!! I was worried it was going to be small but it was a huge portion (four large sandwich halves) and I was in fact able to save half for lunch the next day. Drinks were really good and we got to enjoy a bit of the live jazz before the band packed up for the night. Would go here again for sure

From the minute we walked in we knew we would love it. Pam was our waitress and she was kind, fun and efficient. The owner came out to help us with my friends dietary needs. So accommodating! The food was delicious and plentiful! Enough for another meal or two!! Great atmosphere. We will definitely be going back!!

Delicious food! This was my first visit and I was very impressed. The restaurant is so cute and the staff are very pleasant and welcoming. I ordered a pizza and it was just as good as “New Haven” pizza. My server, Susan, was tremendously helpful and very prompt with every request. I haven’t had great service from a restaurant in quite some time. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!

The Manicotti was good. My granddaughter ordered Chicken Parm expecting it to be over pasta and she was served a grinder without much sauce or cheese. She kept it and liked the chicken but we had a huge pile of leftover bread to take home. All in all it was ok, but I wont be rushing back

I cannot express how amazing this place is. Truly a hidden gem. The service was great, and our server was so friendly and he gave out gifts (teddy bears, toy trucks, etc) in a basket to the kids. Now, the food. Oh my gosh, so DELICIOUS. The pizza was phenomenal, and the thin crust was great. The portions were absolutely huge and worth each and every penny. We got 2 pizzas and a side of pasta with sauce. The sauce was fantastic! And the side salad was probably the biggest “side” I have ever seen! All in all this place is an A+! Definitely recommend.

We recently hired Taso and his team to cater an off-site event. The entire experience was phenomenal - from selecting the menu to the presentation - it exceeded our expectations! Everything weve ever eaten at Vero has been tremendous and we are thrilled they cater too!

This place is a hidden gem! The pizza is New Haven style and the very best in Middletown!!! No more need to travel to get great pizza! The bread is made fresh daily and the soup is also homemade. We will certainly be back!

Ive ate from here a couple times, once dine in and the other take out. Their paninis are incredible but there pasta could do a little better. If I remember correctly the pasta I had was rather plain, but then again maybe it was just a one time thing. The scenery is real nice though, Ill them that.

We were recently married in a private ceremony and wanted to have a local gathering for friends and family. We had heard great things about Vero Cucino Rustico so we stopped in a few months prior to inquire about having an event there. The staff immediately put us at ease with their welcoming approach and genuine interest in our celebration. After going over the details and seeing the private room we would be able to use, including a full bar and plenty of space, our choice was easily made and we had great confidence knowing our party was in great hands. Before we left after enjoying a wonderful meal with very attentive service, the owner, Taso, took time to speak with us regarding our event and put our minds at ease with his caring, empathetic, and very professional approach. And to top it all off, the owner handed us a delicious loaf of freshly baked bread as we were leaving!On the day of our event, we arrived a few hours early to set up and were given free reign to decorate and re-arrange anything to our liking. The staff and owner immediately welcomed us and assisted us with any questions we had while also providing a very positive atmosphere. The owner even went out of his way to provide an external speaker so we could play a special playlist we created for the day. As guests began to arrive, the staff was fully prepared with an array of delicious food, ranging from appealing appetizers to various types of pizza. In addition, the bartenders/waitresses Sue and Amaya could not have been more attentive or pleasant when serving drinks, or helping our guests with any requests that arose. Knowing everything handled by the staff was working like clockwork (with a personal touch) allowed our guests and us to immerse ourselves in celebrating our love and devotion to one another, which was our biggest hope for the day and we can truly say was fully achieved. All of our friends and family raved about the food and service, with many taking leftovers home to enjoy.We could not have been happier with our experience at Vero Cucino Rustico and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to host a private event where they will receive phenomenal cuisine topped with highly accommodating service, or to anyone looking for a first-class pizza pie!

This was my first visit, and the food was delicious. There was a band playing songs the guy at the next table was singing along with. Our waitress was friendly and made sure we knew they baked their own bread. (We got a loaf to take home.)

Lovely scenery inside and outside. Staff was friendly. The chicken pesto panini was very dry and the spaghetti and meatballs were extremely bland and tasteless.

The service was awesome, super friendly and amazingly accommodating with our children. The salad was HUGE and delicious, and their thin crust pizza was out of this world. Definitely a must try!

Terrible service. They have been open long enough so the kinks should be worked out. Been there twice in the past couple months and no improvement. We were there overc10 minutes with no acknowledgement. We had to request everything from water, menus, silverware, etc. They brought bread but no plates or utensils. When we finally got food, some was cold and some burnt. The bill, after requesting it, was wrong and had included things we did not order. It took way too long to get the right bill. Too bad.

This restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat in Middletown. The menu isnt extensive, but everything on the menu is super. The prices are on the high side, but the quality is there. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.

Quite disappointed, heard good things about this place and when I read the reviews, I was convinced this was going to be great. My eggplant parmigiana was burnt, they hid the burnt pieces of eggplant in between other slices. The slices of eggplant were so thin my girlfriend thought it was just fried breadcrumbs. Very expensive for what you got.

Just tried the Margherita pizza... Best sauce on a pizza Ive had. Crispy crust...very good! Definitely recommend and will come back..

Revisited Veros, to see All Funked Up againAs usual, the band was fantastic! Our drinks were worth the price! They turned down the lights this time, spotlights on the band made the atmosphere have a show type feel. Definitely recommend seeing a show at Veros, especially All Funked Up. They will be back there for New Years Eve!!

Delicious, lots of good options on the menu, wide variety of Italian dishes. The decor is rustic modern; I enjoy the ambiance. Theres live music on Fridays.

Have eaten here many times and the portions get bigger, the prices stay the same! Also held family parties here and the catering is top notch. Highly recommended the chicken parmesean over pasta, the shrimp scampi, stuffed filet of sole or any pizza. Wonderful refreshing ambiance and decor inside and the owner and staff are inviting and friendly. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent dining experience. Dont miss out. I am not sure how to rate this. I am going to give four stars. I went in for my first time today. There was hardly anyone in there i could only see one table with people. I wanted take out. I stood and waited for quite some time until someone from the kitchen came to see if I had been helped. After he hollerd across the restaurant and a few more minutes i was able to place my order. I am just in awweee how yummy the food is btw... Why I am giving four stars. After my food was done the same guy from the kitchen comes out, plops my box on the counter and screams for the girl who took my order. After realizing that she wasnt coming soon he asks if I need silverware and puts my order in a bag. .. . So to conclude.. great food awful service.

Great band All Funkd Up. Great salad and fried mozzarella, but drinks were ridiculously priced and the steak topping added to the salad was all fat, gross!!

Best italian bread I have ever had in U.S.A.; feels like homeland bread, not chewy gummy stuff moonlighting as Italian bread at other​ places. A bit too generous with portions but overall good flavor, good quality and good value.

Food not at all to my liking. Had a stuffed mushroom dish served to me burnt. I sent it back after trying it and it was returned to me with the addition of an additional burnt one. I gave up and ordered a cannoli which was just a shell stuffed with cheese. I did not think that could be ruined but no effort was put into it and it just was not good. I will not go back. Although the wait staff is pleasant they lose out due to food quality.
