Raphael is awesome! Im usually very self-conscious when Im trying new things in new environments, feeling like Im getting stared at by everyone, but Raphael made me feel very comfortable right away. Straight forward, and you can go whenever want. You don’t have to worry about committing to a full month if you have a busy schedule. The instructor is knowledgeable and easy to communicate with.

Rafael is a great instructor, very nice, and patient. It was my first time with any self defense or martial arts and he made me feel like i fit right in, and I actually learned some new techniques. Ive trained Krav Maga for several months before moving to Miami and I was lucky to find this place. The instructor Rafael was amazing. The best thing is that he is very friendly and professional at the same time. His instructions were very clear and he was able to teach a class with different levels of knowledge, which is a difficult thing to do. He also has a lot of the gear needed to train such as pads, mitts and boxing gloves. I will definitely be joining and going regularly.

I have been thinking about learning a great fighting discipline for self defense. After one session with instructor Raphael Lamy, I knew Krav Maga was exactly what I was looking for. A very smart and efficient fighting style. I will be coming back for another class soon.

I took my first class of martial art with Raphael Krav Maga and it was amazing .! Raphael is an incredible teacher who taught me in my first class a varies of very simple technique but efficient for Self defense.I will definitely continue this path to learn more.

What an experience! Over all it’s been hard to find a gym that is focused on the work but has great people and a great instructor. I’ve left a lot of self defense and martial art classes feeling like I’ve learned a bottled slowed down version of whatever we are supposed to learn. Trying Krav Maga had been a long-awaited goal of mine and I definitely feel like I have found the right place! Raphael is extremely knowledgeable and apt at what he does and he made me feel completely comfortable despite being a beginner. Along with holding classes in the gym he also conveniently holds classes in the park in Brickell. I am looking forward to many more classes with Raphael in the future!

Raphaël is a great instructor, very nice and knowledgeable. You learn a lot of practical self defense techniques quickly. I took a few months of Krav Maga years ago in another city and feel like I learned more in one day with Raphaël than I did in a month at the other place! Theres no contract so you only pay when you go, which is also very convenient.

I trained under Raphael supervision for 2 days (on one-to-one, like a mini-seminar) on topics like: defense vs gun, stick and knife.I have trained in krav maga for 4 years (not in the USA) and this seminar allowed me to improve in those areas. The training was serious and fun at the same time – the way I like to train.Raphael is very competent, very clear when explaining the movements. I go the class under the brickell bridge on Wednesday and Friday. The coach is very patient, friendly and professional. I really can learn something and get better. I think it’s very necessary to have self defense course, especially in Miami :)

Krav Maga is a an incredible way to keep fit and learn self defense, and Rafael makes the classes fun and constantly engaging (no pun intended).

I started doing Krav Maga with Raph since Febraury (19) several times a week and the experience has been great. Each class is different and I learnt different key self defense techniques. As an instructor, he is quite approachable, and works patiently with students to improve their self defense technique, offering critiques and encouragement. More importantly, though, he gets students to learn to think on their feet, to use krav maga skills as a foundation for dealing with various real-world situations.
