After doing a lot of research, I am glad to have hired Royal American for transportation services. Customer service was excellent, they responded to my inquiries very fast and they were always very accommodating when I had to make some last minute changes to our bookings. This was our first time traveling to Brazil and we were concerned with our safety and not sure what to expect. Royal American made things a lot easier. The driver was on time, he very was courteous and efficient. Their dispatchers were in constant communication with us, letting us know when the driver was on the way, on location, etc and that was very convenient. I will definitely be using Royal American again.
I wrote to them requesting a quote.I get no response for two weeks then they send me a message asking if I would like to follow up on the quote.I ask what quote and they forward me a message that never even hit my junk folder.I made an inquiry into public holiday surge pricing and they said they would email me back in 30 minutes.After 90 minutes they hadnt responded so I sent an email and a different agent responded to me. They then said the holiday fee will be waived, even though the 24th December isnt a public holiday.They also misquoted my journey distance as 102km when it is only 93km which is a considerable difference 6.5 miles appx.Then I sent a reply and another agent responded to me so my message was getting lost between the representatives.So this is an American company, I was requesting a quote for Chile and I get people from Manila calling and emailing me.Other transfer services quoted me 100 USD via private transfer but a small delay in waiting for a premium car at the airport.Royal quoted me $235 USD for a direct escort out of the airport.I asked for a more competitive price and they said no, then a representative said they will check with a manager and come back to me in 30 minutes, so I waited ANOTHER hour and didnt get a reply, I then sent another email and got an almost identical reply from two agents (see attached).You can see how much of my time was wasted in the email chain.Why seek business if youre not even going to try and compete, my company is struggling at the moment and I would beg for a customer that Ive reached out to, to negotiate with me.Id say avoid this company, I wanted to give them a chance and leave them a great review but it seems they arent interested.
