Such am incredible facility! I was homeless for 5 years here in Florida and Camillus offers showers, clean clothes, free food, a place to sleep and so much more! They have multiple programs and even a full library. It looks like a college campus honestly. They also have apartments on the top floor that are gorgeous!

Camillas house is a very helpful and caring place they really care about the homeless.If youre serious about getting your life back together they can help.But beware stay focused on your own life and do not be distracted by some of the other people living there who are not serious about getting their life back together

Great social services for poor and homeless. Good for EMERGENCY shelter only. First find a mythical green shirt to get placed then the blue shirts help w/ your stay.

Tricky to navigate. Functions like a business, and the worst of the worst life on the streets nearby. The security guards at the entrances think theyre more important and more knowledgeable than they really are. Waiting lines to queue up for showers & meals. Not too many employees think outside the box.

One of the best top rated shelter they even have a pet kennel and a veterinarian and that is awesome Ive never ever heard of any shelter doing that!

Went there to Volunteer, what an amazing place to be able to give back. The establishment is clean secure and it provides a lot of assistance to the homeless and less fortunate.

I have experience homeless i others states as well, and I must say that Camillus house is the best shelter then any states have and camillus really help you. Yes I must say its is five star standard. Its the best shelter in the world they should expand to other states under Camillus house leader ship 🚢 .

This facility is a great microcosm of the real world! The effort invested into writing policies and governing rules that directly neglect some people from materially benefiting from awarded public grants - is much more apparent here than in the obvious macroeconomic consensus of corporate corruption.

This is a shelter place in downtown Miami area . It looks very clean and well organized .

Everyone is kind, and the food is good quality.

In my particular case, I give 0 stars to this place because in reality its management is terrible. I have a friend who lives in this place and has health problems, as he goes to the hospital 15 days a month for dialysis. How is it possible that a person who is disabled and hardly walks sleeps on the street? He was talking on the phone and he couldnt believe the tone and the way an African American employee was treating him, its inhuman and know that Im going to take this to higher levels because even the homeless are human beings!

Phenomenal blessings, garden, yoga, salad bar, art therapy, bingo, chapel, spoken word, showers, and career source, and free college homeless waiver.

I have read a few reviews, but honestly this place is too restrictive, some people want to get their lives back, POSSIBLY return back home, others just dont want to get back to their lives at all !!! MOST PEOPLE ARE LIVING, SOME PEOPLE ARE SADLY JUST EXISTING...JUST PRAYING 🙏 TOGO BACK HOME 🏡

The help is lazzy

Due to covid things have slowed up for them but they generally provide good service to the public...showers before 10 starting at 5:00 am, they also provide a change of clothing, identification if needed,mail service and lots more

Serve spoiled food, have bad communications skills( between staff and the community), and they have more disabled people out on the streets than they do in shelters. Makes the city of Miami look bad for tourists .

Great Staff. You will have to go through a small orientation and background check if you want to volunteer there, and it is worth it. Find a way to give back to you r community. The Kitchen always need help and there are other areas within the facility that you can volunteer at.

Staff was unprofessional!!!!I lived there for 2 moni.i seen a person cut his wrist because the staff refused to give him his meds after being pressured all day from staff..then I seen another person die after I went to staff to check on him.staff turned me away and said he will be ok and he died!! Hate the staff!!!

I’ve been fortunate and never been homeless but I have seen those that have been less fortunate and have had to go to this place. They helped my friend to get back in her feet and even got counseling. That’s there purpose!

Theyre good help for people in need

Ive been trying to get my mail and the sign says 9:00 to 10:00 then the security guard tells its at 2:00 oclock I dont think I should run around all DAY AND WAIT FOR MY MAIL it should be readily available to be picked up at any point in time, I am going to contact post office and describe all the hassle I gotta go through just to pick up mail and how you all keep changing the pick up time, since it creates unsafe situation.

This is an AMAZING place that helps the people of Miami that truly needs the help most!Their programs help people who are: homeless, veterans, mentally Ill, and many more situations that need to have professional help to be productive citizens in the community.

I called this organization (Administration) to offer our companys services to provide the people employment and guide them through the process of getting back into their work fields for free and as volunteers. The representative replied back to us saying she does not need our services?... We called to help and provide employment and there is no need for that? I dont think Camillus is collaborating to make this society better. They just provide a shelter and thats all.

I came broken. Very down from where my life had took me. Well they gave me hope. And now I have peace. The things you need most in life are free. The things you want the most you just cant buy. Anyway what they did for me priceless.

This place has the potential to do a lot to help you but the problems are 1. Getting someone to help you in the first place. 2. Once you get in, getting anything done that youll need someones assistance with And 3. The hard time some of the security guards will give you. Theres good staff but very few who truly care or who wont make your situation any more stressful than it already is. They feed a lot but theres a chance it will make you sick.theyre unnecessarily strict on everything and even though they say theyll only meet you quasi half way on your issues. They barely do that. We get good volunteers who are good people but the most residents are thieves (which staff rarely cares about) and unhygienic which makes it easy to get sick. They say charity unlimited then expect you to do things that shouldnt be your job. However despite all this, the person who runs this place is a decent guy and if you wanna talk to someone who is genuine upon arrival i suggest Tanya. I either cant or wouldnt vouch for anyone else.

Well I never gave needed to stay in this shelter..but I have friends that stay there they day its good n they have great variety of food for lunch n dinner, and they have help a few get their low income place, help with paper work etc

What a contradiction of a place that offers shelter to homeless people. They lack everything they should be providing the homeless. The staff is terrible.

Im a student who went to camillas house for a field trip and I saw how greatly they helped the people there. They have an art room, a cafeteria, library, etc. They are also pet friendly, so if u have a dog or cat youre ok.
