Made the appointment with ease. Got there and the plaza parking is pricey but realized later they validate it. Front desk staff was young and all over the place. They seemed disorganized and out of focus. They were having loud personal conversations that could be heard by all of us. The lady that calls insurances took long and when I got up to check what was taking so long I caught her yapping. Once inside I didn’t like the light handles had no blue wrappers. The assistant although nice was wearing the same gloves while he manipulated the computer mouse, the x-ray gun, bite blockers, drawer handles and dental equipment. These gloves went inside my mouth. I don’t believe these computers and handles get disinfected in between patients. Same thing with the seat controls. Their computer and cabinets are situated behind the patient seat so you can’t see what they’re doing unless you turn your head which I did bc I’m never at ease at a dentists precisely because I’ve consistently noticed a lack of awareness with the glove usage. They seem to think they’re just protecting themselves from germs and bacteria but they’re actually spreading patient saliva and microorganisms from one mouth to another. Gloves should be put on right before they handle your mouth and right in front of you. Hygiene 101.

I had a very pleasant experience at Gateway Dental. The staff was welcoming and kind. They discussed my treatment plan with me thoroughly, services were rendered professionally and efficiently and the overall energy throughout the office felt warm and familial. If you want to be treated with respect by professionals in a clean environment this is the place for you!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the worst customer service I have EVER received!!! I made an emergency appointment for my daughter where I specified that it had to be in the afternoon because of work. They not only confirmed the appointment on the same day I made the appointment they also called the day of the appointment to confirm my appointment at 4:15 pm to then call me 20 minutes later to tell me that my 3:45 pm appointment had to be cancelled and rescheduled for another two weeks. They not only have their times all mixed up the lady who called me which was extremely RUDE told me that she could not put her in before and that it may be an emergency for me but not for them. SERIOUSLY!!! How are these people even in business with the customer service they have! I would not recommend this place EVER in my life.

If you need dental service in Miami, Gateway Dental at Civica Center Health District is the best! The D.D.S. Aymara and the Hygienist Yaris are excellent professionals, they explain everything in detail and work with great care. Also all the staff is super friendly and kind. My experience with Gateway Dental is without question is the worst experience I ever had at a dentist or doctors office. I had 3 different appointment I went to and waited no less than 90 minutes just to be looked at. The dentist saw me on my first visit for approximately 5 minutes and I never saw her again for all 3 appointments. I made several requests to talk with the dentist and on all 4 visits. My last visit I waited in the dental chair for approximately 1 hour to only be told by the office manager that the doctor is running way behind and I will have to reschedule my appointment or see another Dentist. Extremely unprofessional, inconsiderate and disrespectful. If your looking for a dentist that does nothing then you should go to Gateway Dental. Doug

This place is wonderful I didnt have to wait long and I was able to get all the information I needed for visit. All though it is pricey if you dont have insurance but you might qualify for there care credit. I would truly recommend anyone to go to this place to get what ever it is you need done.

Very nice, extremely clean, and professional. I had a exam, X-rays and a cleaning here. Great experience, I had sum cavities that needed to be filled but my insurance apparently didn’t cover so I decided to use my family dentist in NYC to get my work done instead.

Ive been coming here for about 3 years now and the hygienist and dentist are good. The problem is the front desk and the dirty work they got them doing there. Im talking about one day they wanted to charge my wife about $900 of work that supposedly our insurance was not covering until I went to my insurance and printed out all my coverage. At the end, they dud the work for just the copayment. Maybe a mistake, maybe.Also, I went for my yearly during this Covid crisis and they wanted to charge me $75 extra for PPE equipment. I THINK NOT!!!

Hi I’ll start bye saying, and this means allot to me, that There always so accommodating at this office . my son and I Came in today for a check up since it had been a while due to Covid we finally made appts. when I got the text confirmation I tried to change the time n they after while were able to have me come in later which was great . When we were inside we had a great cleansing the tech was so nice n friendly n both ladies helping us were great Ana remembered us as well as customers .Unfortunately I have to go back Next week before the 6 months Now due to having two cavities next week but I’ll still looking forward to it For sureI’d recommended this place cause they are Quick, through, And super honest and with perks like parking n close to most areas in Miami it a no brainer !

I waited 3 hours to be told that supposedly the doctor had quick on them . After I just spoke to him . Then that myDaughters insurance wasn’t authorized or something like that I after I drove from Pembroke Pines during traffic and had this appointment for almost 2 months . I was very surprised to see negative reviews on this clinic. This place is one of the cleanest dental clinics I’ve visited, all staff is friendly and they work fast and very well. I do understand the parking is somewhat expensive but you are in the health district in an amazing area of hospitals. Dr. Santiesteban is very professional and so knowledgeable, you can obtain second opinions outside that she will never give you a wrong diagnosis. Dentists are expensive anywhere! I am happy to have found a place that I can trust with my eyes closed and that I know is doing the work I need. Never had any problems with this clinic!

Dont have dental Insurance? No problem! Just pay as you go, prices are affordable to the working class. I never got a second appointment. I only have done an x-ray, and thats it. The dentist was unprofessional laughing with another coworker behind my back because of my accent but I could hear them. I wont recommend it to anyone else.

Staff is friendly and respectful but it just felt like the dentists were trying to get money from you one way or another! Trying to force you to pay extra for things not covered by your insurance or else they wont provide any care!

I went in for an appointment for cleaning and regular consult with a dentist on May 27th at 1:30pm. Prior to that, I was contacted via text to remind and confirm my appointment for this time as we had rescheduled it due to Memorial Day Weekend. There was no calls nor mentions of a PPE Surcharge. I arrive and was pleased to find that I was attended to within 5-10 minutes and my teeth was cleaned and some dental concerns were raised but were not serious enough warranting treatment on the day. As I proceed to checkout, I was told that I needed to pay a $75 PPE fee. The attendants cited insurance providers not covering the cost of extra PPE that is now required to keep everyone safe. They continued to go on about how there was inflation of costs due to the times and that unfortunately, these costs needed to be covered by the patients. After I explained that I was not told about this PPE surcharge, and that no one had mentioned a word about it, nor were there any signage that suggests this was coming, they told me, that they would lower the price to $50 for the PPE surcharge.This PPE surcharge is absolutely outrageous and seems to be something that can be inflated and deflated as and when the business wants to. I have been loyal and have been going to Gateway Dental at this location for the past 2.5 years. This is an unacceptable way to treat your patients.

Please DO NOT go there.They showed me a treatment plan that included two fillings and two wisdom tooth extractions and they said it would cost $727.50. I paid them in full the same day and had my fillings done. They told me that they do not do fillings and tooth extractions on the same day so I made an appointment to return the following Friday for extractions. On that day no one explained that the extractions was a separate treatment or how much it would cost. Today I get a $777.50 bill that I was not expecting because their staff did not say that the extractions was not included in the first bill. Unless you have an extra $777.50 laying around that you do not need please dont go to that place.

These people are running some kind of scam. I have insurance that cover two free dental cleanings per year 100%. I get my teeth clean every year and never had to pay out of pocket for dental cleaning. These people charge patient $40 for basic dental cleaning then turn around and also charge your insurance. Now for dental cleaning they are charging patient $75 for PPE equipment they will use to clean your teeth. I am a health care worker and know how system works. they are using unnecessary ICD 10 codes and charging patient for their PPE equipment is wrong practice.

I am having a major full mouth Reconstruction which is going to take several months and 32k. They have great financial assistance and all of the Doctors are Awesome!! Closely monitoring and allowing me to text direct if necessary, particularly Dr. Perrotti.The front office administration staff are super friendly and professional and the Dental Assistants are my favorite They all know their stuff and makes sure you are comfortable at all times.

Im disappointed by their Poor communication skills. I arrived as a new patient, and saw a review about the $75 PPE charge, so I asked about it before I signed the intake forms. I was told insurance doesnt cover it, and that all other dental clinics had the same charge.There was no disclaimer/warning or anything posted in the front of the office for this PPE charge, so if I had not asked the question I wouldve been hit with this charge on my way out. I decided to leave Gateway, and called other dental clinics, charges ranged from $0-$35, so the $75 Gateway was charging for PPE is a bit excessive.Otherwise the place seemed clean and organized, with social distancing in the waiting area, so its not all bad. Please warn/disclaimer and dont price gouge new patients.
