After arriving in Miami, a tooth that had been looked at by my dentist previously, began to hurt very much and threatened to ruin our trip. I called Dr. Castaneda at 10 PM after finding him through a google search and he advised me to come in first thing in the morning. It turns out that I required a root canal. Dr Castaneda had my full confidence as he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The doctor and his staff were fantastic. Very accommodating, prompt, helpful and pleasant. I felt fortunate to have found such a competent dental office in an emergency situation away from home.

My experience with Castaneda Family Dentistry and Dr. Castaneda was a great one. I hadn’t been to a dentist in over 10 years and found myself in need of an emergency root canal. After a quick google search I found Castaneda family dentistry and they were able to schedule my appointment first thing the next morning. Dr. Castaneda and his staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They were able to detail everything I would need in order to save my tooth and go over different financial options. The root canal and tooth reconstruction procedure were both performed successfully and with very little pain. A follow up appointment revealed that I had several more cavities and would need some extensive work done in order to bring the rest of my teeth back to health. Again, we were able to find a financial option that worked best for me and Dr. Castaneda was able to start right away. Every procedure was handled with precision and a light touch, making what would usually be an unpleasant series of procedures extremely tolerable. I will definitely be going back to Castaneda family dentistry for all my future dental needs.

He took care of my husbands extraction so professionally but also humanely . I had to call him a few times because of my husbands pain and he was always so nice and helpful. But it was when he called at 9 pm just to check up on my husband that I knew this was a one of a kind dentist! He is our go to dentist and I will definitely be telling friends and family about him.

Dr. Castanedas assistant is very kind, caring and makes the process of taking x-rays pleasant. Although no one likes to hear the truth about their oral hygiene and condition of their teeth, Dr. Castaneda was very honest in explaining to me the consequences of my cavities (BTW he found 9 cavities) and recommended a cleaning due to my current condition. I decided to have everything taken care of and I am now able to say that I am have a healthy mouth! Dr. Castaneda recommended I see him every 6 months and that is exactly what I will be doing. Its hard to be enthusiastic about a dentist, but it doesnt at all surprise me to see so many raving patients here. Fantastic experience! Finally came to see a dentist after a decade due to root canal that needed to be extracted. Staff was courteous, friendly, personable and welcoming. I was able to schedule an appointment early on a Saturday, which fit into my schedule perfectly. It was extremely easy to secure my follow-up appointments thereafter as I had extensive work that was required due to my neglect. Dr. Castaneda was professional, on schedule and up to the challenge! He was able to accommodate me and do the work that was required within a short amount of time. He initially saw me with a cavity in almost every single tooth and within a couple of weeks it seemed as though I had veneers put on! Highly recommend him as a dentist that is reliable, knowledgeable, caring, educates his patients and most importantly a dentist you can count on to have a great smile. On a personal note, the dentist and his assistant work very well together and always had a great attitude.

I hate to give reviews but I feel this to be necessary. I went to a family dentist and they told me I had two cavities (18 & 14) which shocked me so I went to Dr. Castaneda for a second opinion. I saw the raving reviews so I said why not. He tells me I have 11 cavities-even more shocking. I have Invisalign so I couldnt just go ahead and get them filled. He said they were small. A year later I go again for my regular check up/wanted to see how my cavities were doing and he tells me that I now have 17 cavities (My hygiene is impeccable by the way)(He sold me $20 mouth wash) I thought there was NO WAY i could have 17 cavities. Naturally I go ahead and get ANOTHER opinion(third)- turns out I have 2 cavities(18 & 14). My family dentist was right from the start. Granted all dentists view things differently, but from 2 cavities to 17; I call that a scam. Dr. Castaneda was charging me $1,000+ out of pocket and thats after my insurance pays their portion.

My husband and I have continued to see him for the past year and we dont mind the drive from Miami Beach. When I began experiencing a severe toothache on a Saturday, I quickly began searching Google for a reputable dentist that could see me ASAP. Although their listed hours of operation on Google are a little misleading (24hrs?) and I wasn’t able to reach anyone over the weekend, they called me first thing Monday morning and were able to see me right away. When I came back for a tooth extraction that Friday, I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Castaneda had the same great positive energy as when I first met him; being that I was his last appointment of the day. It was still good vibes all around! (I can’t even say I’m capable of being that cheerful after a long work week. Lol.) Having had some awful experiences in the past with rude staff and dismissive dentists, I am extremely appreciative of how compassionate and accommodating Dr. Castaneda and his team was. They made this a great experience for me. (Still bummed I wasn’t able to keep my tooth, though. Jk) I think I finally found a dentist I am willing to go back to. Highly recommend!

Out of town dental emergency. Dr. Castaneda was referred to me by the hotel. Staff was very nice and made an appointment for the next morning. Facility was new and very clean. Visit was completed in about an hour. I was happy with the result.

Last weekend, Labor day weekend, I bit on an almond and broke a huge portion of my back molar. Within one hour he called me back, he had just left the movie theater and was going to have dinner with his family. Instead, he opened the office to solve my problem. Thankfully, the tooth was not as bad as I thought and he fixed it with a filling. He fixed my tooth and I was able to enjoy my labor day weekend without any issues. What can I say? Like most people, I always feared the dentist. It took alot of commitment to come in and get checked out. Funny after the first couple of visits that fear slowely transition into confidence knowing I was in good hands that can guide me through the process. I usually do not use Google or Yelp for recommendations of doctors offices, I usually go to my friends & family for recommendations. However, I was in a lot of pain and needed a dentist ASAP that was nearby. I am sooooo glad that I stumbled upon a Google review of Dr.Castanedas practice. The facility is top notch, his staff as well, and he was fantastic with his treatment from beginning to end. I found my new dentist and will probably be a patient of theirs for a long time. I came across Castaneda Family Dentistry at such a desperate time with a horrible toothache after my usual dental office was not picking up the phone. All I’m going to say is that everything happens for a reason because it led me here. The first contact I had was through the phone and the person I spoke with was very helpful and kind all throughout the conversation. Upon arrival everyone I spoke to were knowledgeable and super sweet. I went in thinking I was just going to get pain medication until there was an available appointment since I was a walk in but, Dr. Castaneda was able to take me in and do the procedure the same day. I was in Miami at the Sheraton Airport June 8, 2013 preparing to depart for a Carnival Cruise. During breakfast at about 10:00 am, I broke a wisdom tooth. My wife searched the Internet for an emergency dentist who could take me on a Saturday. She found Dr. Castaneda. She called and explained that I had broken a tooth and needed to be on the cruise ship by 3:00 pm. Dr. Castanedas office stated I could be seen and to come on. When I arrived, I was seen immediately and Dr. Castaneda determined the tooth had to come out. I was immediately prepared for the extraction and the tooth was extracted. Knowing the limited time I had to board the ship, Dr. Castaneda and his entire staff expedited the process. Before the procedure was complete, they arranged for the cab driver to be waiting for me when I was released. The staff contacted the pharmacy and had the pharmacy prepared to have my prescriptions ready as soon as I walked in the pharmacy. Due to all the efforts of Dr. Castaneda and his staff, I was able to make it on the cruise ship by 2:30 pm, well in time for the deadline of 3:00 pm. Dr. Castaneda and staff saved my cruise for which my wife and I are very grateful. They were extremely professional and courteous. They made my problem their problem and took care of me in an amazing way.Thank you Dr. Castaneda and staff for giving me the opportunity to take my vacation cruise. Also, thanks to all the regularly scheduled customers who waited for Dr. Castaneda to take care of me.

I went into Dr. Castanedas to get 5 small cavities filled in. I am 22 years old and have never had anything done to my teeth before besides my usual cleanings and getting my wisdom teeth removed (except I was asleep for that process). Dr. Castaneda and his assistant Natalie were fantastic! My whole appt took about an hour and a half and Dr. Castaneda explained to me the process before doing anything which helped put me at ease. I am not going to lie.. The anesthesia shot hurt quite a bit. But once that what over with, it was smooth sailing from there. Thank you Dr. Castaneda and Natalie! No more cavities here!

Well, Even though I beeped Dr. Castaneda at 11:45 pm, he called me back right away...I was in horrific pain...he spoke very capable and calm, and very much calmed me down by the end of our call. I made a promise to see him first thing in the morning, I made it through the night and he called me back on his way to the office to make sure I was okay and still coming to see him... Hands down the best Dentist I have encountered since I moved here to Miami from N.Y.

After our insurance company changed, our family had to search for a new dentist. After carefully assessing new dentists, we choose the Castaneda Family Dentistry. We contacted the office July 2018 and obtained an appointment for September 2018, just for new visit. After waiting close to 90 days, my son visited the office and was x-rayed and evaluated, however, 90 days of waiting doesnt get you very far. A new appointment would have to be scheduled to do any work. Subsequently, my husband and I had our appointment. The day of the appointment, 30 MINUTES, before, we received a phone call cancelling it. The staff member stated that their system had been down since the morning hours. I spoke to the manager or assistant, Rosemary, who indicated it was better cancelling 30 minutes before than when we arrived. Needless to say, they were quite aware the system had not been fixed and a proper assessment of the situation was not conducted. Rosemary said she would call us with a new appointment. I indicated to her to please try to reschedule sooner than later since we waited already 90 days and both of us had lost a day of work. DAYS WENT BY - NO CALLS. I sent a message via their website as to the lack of professionalism and guess what... Now we did receive a call and we got dumped. Our system was down several days, we wont carry your insurance, the dentist takes 2 weeks vacation in November and the December. So there you go.. NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL AFTER ALL. Neither the staff nor the dentist takes the patient into consideration. If in fact, their system was down 2 days, they could have modified the upcoming schedule. Cant take criticism and doesnt care. Dont waste your time with this dentist unless you would like to be treated as less than what you deserve. Our insurance is Cigna and this office practically takes all insurances!

Dr. Castaneda has been my family dentist for over 6 years already. My oldest daughter had her ortho treatment completed by a recommended orthodontist that Dr. Castaneda referred us to. Our biggest concern about my daughter undergoing ortho treatment was that she would develop cavities and not keep her mouth clean. Dr. Castaneda recommend to my wife that she should take our daughter in for a checkup and cleaning every 3 months in order to avoid any issues. As Dr. Castaneda’s recommendation was, we did! Every 3 months my daughter was at his office to get her teeth cleaned and have a checkup. My daughter finally got her braces off and when she returned to Dr. Castaneda she is cavity free and her mouth looks fantastic health wise. My daughter has been wanting to whiten her teeth and Dr. Castaneda recommended a whitening treatment that within no time my wife and I saw the results. Thank you to Dr. Castaneda and his staff! They have made going to the dentist like going to visit family.

Dr. Ricardo Castaneda runs a very professional, but at the same time very warm, dental office! I first found Dr. Castaneda when my girlfriend accidently chipped her tooth one morning and we searched on the internet for a Kendall dentist who was open on Saturday. Lo and behold, there was a dentist open on weekends, just down the street, and with a very affordable emergency rate to boot!That visit, and every other visit since then, has been great. In close to two years of coming to his office, I have never had my appointments changed or cancelled (even on days when I arrived a tad late), hes never pushed me towards procedures in which I didnt seem interested, and I have always been very satisfied with the results of his work (from his general advise to cleanings to fillings). His reception staff is top notch as well!As Ive already mentioned, one of the biggest perks to being a patient of Dr. Castanedas is that he is also open on weekends, so its great for those of us who work a regular 9 to 5 on weekdays and cant make it out except for Saturdays and Sundays -- but even on the weekdays, hes open late, too! He really is a very customer-friendly dentist. I went so far as to switch insurance coverage just to be able to come her for all of my dental needs.If you need any dental work done, go see Dr. Castaneda -- you wont regret it!

This weekend I had severe tooth pain and Dr, Castañeda was the the only doctor to contact me back. He was able to see me first thing Monday morning and advised me I needed an emergency root canal. I was petrified not only because of the pain I was in but because root canals have a reputation of being very painful. Dr Castañeda has the most gentle hand and I did not feel any pain throughout the whole procedure. The facility is high tech and very clean which made me feel a lot more comfortable, he also has a professional and friendly team. I highly recommend Dr.Castañeda.

Good afternoon,I moved to Miami few years ago so I was in need of a good dentist and boy did I get lucky!! Close to my house, safe parking, clean building, super clean office, friendly staff, knowledgeable staff, especially since my coverage is a little tricky being from New York and moving down here to Miami my coverage isnt accepted everywhere so I was very lucky they knew all the ins and outs of my dental coverage... Dr Castaneda treats his patients great but even more so it has that Family feel to him... Your not just a number here... You can tell they really care about what they do for you an your FAMILY!!! ALWAYS ON TIME an thats a big plus.. A few months ago i happened to book a cleaning on my birthday an afterwards the dr an staff actaully sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me i wanted to kill him...(lol) He even brought out a piece of cake.. I mean Who does that any more... well thats the kind of attention you recieve here from this practice, it would be a shame for you not to have this type of experience each time u visit the Dentist...I highly recommend him an his wonderful Staff 10xs over..RegardsMr. Roque
