Probably the largest wine bar Ive been to in Miami, FL. The venue is easily over 5000 square feet filled with wine after wine. Grand Bar is very much specialized in wine. So much so, that there is only wine served at this place; no beer nor cocktail. Come here if you would appreciate a good glass or bottle of wine. I went here on a Friday night with two other friends. I would give four stars because it took about 30 minutes until server came to our table. However, good ambience, good crowd, and of course good wine :9
Grand Salon Ballroom at Killian Palms Country Club is a good happy hour or date spot downtown.A wide variety of wines, along with a tasting area of different wineries that hold a bar at the venue make this an unique spot to go to.The place itself isnt cheap, but gives off that I work in Miami, FL and wasnt planning on saving money anyway vibe thats so appealing to twenty-somethings.The food is fine -- I enjoyed the deviled eggs, but would suggest just going to another stop after youre done getting a glass of wine.
This venue is exceptional! The service, staff, atmosphere, cleanliness, food quality And participating vendors were all excellent. They made our special day a real dream come true! We did not use a professional outside wedding planner but we didn’t need one because the staff especially our coordinator Shayla saw us through every step and detail that made our event so special.
A bit late on my review but, my husband and I got married at Grand Salon Ballroom at Kilian country club October 2020, amid the pandemic and facing some difficulties with things closing and etc. With all the craziness and uncertainty we were may with a great staff who helped plan our special day. Our wedding was the first they hosted after the shutdown and we were soo happy to do it there. The venue is beautiful, the staff is amazing kind and helpful, they were able to accommodate our preferences and really made it a special day. I would and have definitely recommended this venue to anyone getting married. Lia and Antonio were the ones who helped us with everything and they were amazing and reached out and communicated with us about an concerns or accommodations we needed. Everything about it is fantastic and I’m so glad we had our wedding here.

This venue is just absolutely beautiful. From the lobby, to the ballrooms, the gazebo area outback...even the bathrooms are amazing! Food is great, and you get to sample a full plated meal a la restaurant style at the venue. There are so many places to take awesome pictures. The fountain in the front and the oak tree are definitely my favorite spots for picture taking. The staff kept me organized with due dates for payments, food choice and upgrades and always welcomed me on my many visits to the venue. They really cater to you and your event and we’re patient with my many last minute changes. I had no worries trusting them for my big day because there was always someone there to answer my questions, no matter how many I had to ensure my day was amazing!
Grand Salon Reception Halls & Ballrooms was my wedding venue and our coordinator was Lia. The groom and I, we live in Tampa and the venue is in Miami but that was not problem at all. I had the ceremony outside where they have a beautiful gazebo and the reception was in the ballroom inside which is a very elegant salon. The staff did a great job following all the instructions and the service was phenomenal. Lia was always available to answer all of our questions and she was very professional and very helpful. She called me all the time to make sure we were happy with all the details and she stayed the day of wedding until late to make sure everything was running as expected. I really recommend Grand Salon Reception Halls & Ballrooms and its staff!!!
Both my husband and I want to thank the Grand Salon Ballroom at Killian Palms Country Club for an outstanding event, we chose this venue for both our marriage ceremony and our reception party. I can’t say it enough that this venue is by far the most convenient venue to pick if you’re on a budget or simply are not interested in spending outrageous fees for the wedding of your dreams. My favorite thing about this venue was that the packages that they offer included everything you may need. Their packages include photography, wedding cake, DJ, flower arrangements, food, drinks plus the basics which includes your table’s settings such as plates, utensils, table cloths, flower vase, chairs and so on. If you were to not like what the package has or includes than you can upgrade the things you wish to improve and pay the difference. A big plus about the venue is also their open bar choices. I also loved that they give you the list of vendors included in the package that you choose and other vendors that are not affiliated with them but have done work there before. I had both the gazebo and Ciudamar ballroom combination …. Loved it. They just upgraded their gazebo area and it just looks beautiful very cozy and it gives the cutest garden look to your outdoor ceremony. Needless to say I didn’t have a wedding planner I did everything on my own and I found it to be the most bride friendly venue. I had no complaints from my guests, the food, drinks and service overall were AMAZING!!! If I had to do my wedding all over again I wouldn’t change anything regarding this venue. If there was an option of rating I would rate this venue -5 out of 5 stars. Where do I begin, the night of our rehearsal at the venue which was confirmed with one of their event coordinators we showed up with the surprise that the event coordinator had gone home for the day. I don’t know who would confirm a rehearsal time knowing that the even coordinator would not be there, obviously someone who clearly doesn’t know what they are doing. The following day, the day of the wedding, we show up to another surprise that the photographer was not there. We had to wait an hour until another photographer arrived to start the ceremony. After the ceremony it was brought to our attention that an MC needed to be appointed since no one had been. This was the first time we heard about needing an MC and we’re under the impression that one would be provided for us.The final mishap was one that pushed us over the edge. When agreeing to pricing and numbers of guest scheduled to attend our wedding we agreed to 80 guests for the Ciudamar Room. The week of the wedding we were called by one of the event coordinators saying that due to CDC Guidelines we are only able to have 75 guests attend. After the wedding I had emailed our event coordinator in regards to the refund of the 5 guests we had already paid for. Attached you will find the photos of our conversation along with the denial of our refund.If you are planning to have a wedding here please reconsider. They are completely unorganized and unprofessional. Thieves and idiots if you ask me.
Excellent Venue!! the staff is amazing, specially my wedding planner Lia. The food was amazing!I would 100 % recommend it.
My wedding was ruined due to their lack of organization. My “event coordinators” were never taught how to coordinate an event. After countless calls that I made directly to the venue to make sure everything was set and all of my vendors were booked and ready to go, they failed to confirm with my photographer and he didn’t show up. I have email receipts of confirmation but my event coordinator Lia decided to blame it on the bride. You would think that even though we paid them to do these services for us they would own up to their countless number of mistakes, but instead told me it was my fault. Extremely disappointed with the lack of common sense and hospitality these people offer. DO NOT expect good service from such a low class business. There’s many more mishaps that took place during my “big day” that I could write a novel. Also very inconsiderate with COVID guidelines. We paid for 80 people, was told to drop it down to 75 the week of the wedding because of covid (which of course is what I did) and was never reimbursed for those 5 people that I paid for but had to un- invite. Please tell me how that makes sense. Antonio the manager disrespected my husband over the phone all because we tried to settle the money that we are owed. Grand salon, DO BETTER. And any future brides looking for a venue, you’re better off doing a backyard wedding.
My friend invited me to her daughter’s wedding. At the last minute, I and 4 more guests were uninvited because the salon ballroom stated there were 5 too many guests due to Covid restrictions. Everyone knows, that not all wedding guests end up attending. Sure enough 5 guests did not show up. Not only did they make the bride and groom disinvite guests they already had paid for, they had the audacity not to reimburse them. Totally unprofessional and down right inconsiderate and greedy.
The Grand Salon Reception Halls and Ballrooms team was great in helping me prepare for my wedding. They had many packages to offer brides, both affordable and filled with many different additions and perks. I loved how they already had a list of vendors that you could reach out to making the process stress-free. The coordinator was there during my event and made sure everything ran smoothly. Please consider giving them a call for your wedding, you wont regret it. The venue is beautiful. I did my ceremony with the gazebo but under the oak tree loooks beautiful too!

Do me a favor, believe me you wont regret it, ask for LIA when you call. The team at Grand Salon Ballroom we’re incredibly helpful and kind through the entire wedding planning process from the bartenders (shoutout to Alex) to the waiters to the cleanup crew and most important, I cannot thank enough my AMAZING Event Producer Lia for making sure everything went smooth and exactly how I wanted it. They responded quickly to emails and were happy to accommodate my requests. Due to COVID19 my food was uncertain for a long time but they MADE IT HAPPEND and we were able to have what we wanted and paid for and let me tell you, paying the upgrade for the food was worth it, the food is FIRE and SO DELICIOUS. I can’t thank them enough for ensuring my day went so smoothly. As for the venue(s), beautiful setting, delicious food, great vendors! The entire event surpassed my expectations. Had a late November wedding on a Saturday night, originally was suppose to be an outside ceremony but the weather had other plans so Lia made sure that everyone quickly moved everything inside so my wedding can continue and came out even better than what I had hoped. The downside was that I didnt get to see the room before it was full of guests and enjoy the small details we worked hard on, but thats what the photos were for. Its a full service venue with preferred vendors you can choose from and the staff is incredibly patient and kind! Lia guided us on selecting everything from the table linen to the plates and accessories . Highly recommend, no pressure into upgrades, they do give suggestions, but ultimately supply you with everything you need in their packages to have an unforgettable wedding. Also, a huge shoutout to the Manager Antonio for also being so involved in all our needs. This is truly the best team and the most amazing venue I have worked with.
Grand Salon was able to pull off my wife’s 40th birthday with very short notice. Katheen and Antonio (Manager) were fantastic to deal with. They were very accommodating and flexible with our outside vendors. They did a beautiful job of helping us decorate the salon to fit our Havana Nights theme. The day of service was also outstanding. Our Captain (Ivan I believe) was amazing. He handled all of our requests with pleasure. We were extremely happy here!

We did my stepdaughters quince here June 2019. We we able to bring the event together quickly with the help of Liset! She was extremely friendly, responsive and had excellent follow up. The coordination with the recommended vendors was great and the services rendered were exactly what we agreed and expected. The staff who were there for the event were also very approachable and attentive to all our needs during the event. Thank you for making our special event absolutely perfect.
Our Wedding was perfect thanks to Grand Salon. Planning a wedding is definitely not easy when you are working and studying. Grand Salon made it super easy for us because they include everything on the packages so you dont have to be looking for hundreds of different vendors all around; they give you different package options in three beautiful rooms. You only have to worry about meeting 2 of each vendor (cake, photo, and flowers) and decide who you prefer; they take care of everything for you. The DJ also makes everything super easy for you; you only have to fill out a form on their website and write any special song or request you have. During the organization process the Grand Salon staff is always available to answer questions. The day of the event, you have event coordinators at all times to make sure everything goes smooth and perfect.They are also very accommodating with any special requests you might have. Grand salon and theyre vendors are very professional.Another very important factor is the price, I dont want to say is cheap but it is very affordable.If you are planning your wedding, I really do recommend Grand Salon; you will have a beautiful event, with excellent service at a great price. What else could you ask for? :)
The place is amazing. Staff and venue exceed expectations. The venue is so beautiful. My partner and I fell in love with the place. Everything came out like we wanted to be. We had our wedding here in October 2019. The place is beautiful, we really liked this place because we wanted a very cozy and private wedding and this location was perfect. Our reception was beautiful. The staff was very friendly, we were planning everything from a distance, since my husband and I lived outside Florida.Katleen and Liset were always very kind and helped us, they always answered our emails promptly. They always offered us upgrades and options to make our great day special. They were very kind in letting us decorate our reception a day before our wedding, since we didnt wanted to be worried about this on the wedding day.We had an hour of cocktail for our guests, while we took pictures with our family. Kathleen was very nice to open our reception a little earlier, to not have all of our guests there waiting. All the staff really seemed happy and wanting to help specially the bar guy, we had many compliments from our guest saying how nice he was.Of course, not everything was perfect as we would have expected, on our wedding day our Gazebo flowers fell 10 minutes before the ceremony began. When my husband arrived at the venue my bouquet of flowers was in the table as you walk into the venue, we thought that they were going to be a little more aware, since my husband had no idea how my bouquet was going to be and I wanted him to be surprised to see me walk down the isle.During our toast, champagne was not served to us, one of our guests had to take two glasses to make the toast. The food was very tasty but a little bit cold. The cake was amazing we got it from Divine Delicacies, and our Emcee was Marty as well as our wedding officiant. We chose Lopez Photography for our pictures/videos, it was great working with all of them, they were all very professional.Anyway, we had an incredible time, leaving aside these small inconveniences. Our relatives were happy with the place and left with a beautiful and positive memory of our wedding, which is what we wanted.
As a former Event Coordinator, I must say that my Wedding Ceremony and Reception was perfect and stress free. I was planning my Wedding in Miami while living in Maryland. The Staff from Killian Palms Country Club was very attentive and answered all the questions I had in a timely matter. The day of the event they took care of every detail. The Ballroom was gorgeous. The flowers were amazing. The room looked beautiful. My cake was so delicious and everybody compliment the food. The DJ kept everybody dancing the entire night. It was everything that I envisioned and more. My family and friends had so much fun and dance the night away. Having my wedding at grand salon reception hall ( Ballroom) was a dream come true. I started planning my wedding a year ago and the staffs were always there, very patient with me with all the changes and the last minute adds-on . They were always on point. My wedding was so beautiful, their vendors were great to work with. It was a magical night. And Mariam, my day coordinator was awesome. Food was to die for, I had so many compliments on the salmon choice and the open bar. I never regretted of chosing grand salon and i still didnt exceed my budget. I am extremely happy with my choice to use the Grand Salon as my wedding venue. My event took place at the Killian Palms Country Club in the Ciudamar Room. All of the staff members were extremely helpful from the beginning until after my wedding. The food was delicious and the bartenders were great. I have no complaints whatsoever, and I am happy that I had my event here. If you are considering this venue and arent sure whether or not you should choose them, go for it! They wont let you down, and their event space is gorgeous.

I just had my wedding here. Everything came out so beautiful, better than I imaged it. The workers were amazing and fixed a tiny problem that came up the day of the wedding with no problem. They were fast and the DJ was great. Everyone was so helpful. The food was amazing, I had people coming up to me telling me how that was the best food they have ever eaten at a wedding (so compliments to the chief). My flowers were beautiful, and my cake was so simple but elegant just what I asked for. But the best thing I can say about this place is the price! So affordable, with awesome packages. Grand Salons team planned our wedding in only two days and it came out a smashing success, a storybook wedding for us. Being stationed overseas in the military, I had only two weeks to propose, legally marry at the courthouse, and have our wedding ceremony. Once I proposed and we civilly married, my bride and I spoke to Tony on a Saturday (Tony was working an event at the moment and was kind enough to break away and speak to us). He explained having a wedding this week would be possible and advised us to meet with him on Tuesday. Our meeting on Tuesday lasted about 2 hours. Tony and Jade walked us through the venue, prices, food, flowers etc. Jade did a meticulous job by going down all the wickets of our contract and ensured vendors were confirmed for our wedding two days later on Thursday. On Thursday night, our wedding was as many guests expressed, romantic, storybook, classy, and intimate. Grand Salon did a wonderful job and went out of their way to make this wedding happen for us. Thank you very much and we appreciate everything!
Had a great party here. The staff was wonderful, and the food was amazing. They are extremely reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend having an event here. The grounds are really well kept and cared for, and all of my guests talked about how nice the venue is. If youre planning an event in Miami I would def recommend this place.

I had my wedding here on 4/12/19 and it was beautiful! I could not have asked for a better night, truly my dream wedding. The price is very affordable and the vendors to choose from are all great. You can also use your own venders if you like. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. I loved every minute of it and I defiantly recommend using this venue. I had both by ceremony and reception here. I used Lopez photography (He is amazing), Divine Delicacies for cake (delicious), and Glamor floral creations for flowers (Beautiful).

MISREPRESENTATION OF PRICES AND PACKAGESI have been looking at venues for two months and have consistently spoken with Killian/Grand Salon for a month and a half. Over that time, I traveled approximately two hours each way to visit the venue a total of 4 times - bringing my fiancé, mom and sister on different occasions.After our first visit I began speaking with the venue staff via email, phone, and in person to iron our details about our wedding. Then, when we finally got the contract sent to us, there were a number of additional charges that they never mentioned previously such as required security, vendor meals, no kids pricing, requiring most of the money for the entire wedding months before the wedding date, not allowing the DJ to speak during the reception, and allowing cancellations on their side for any reason. Naturally, we had questions about these additional provisions in the contract but we were able to get answers to the questions and still liked the venue.Additionally, during these conversations I also indicated my potential wedding dates on multiple occasions. When I inquired about dates the venue staff informed me that one of our potential dates was a premium day (New Years Eve) but never mentioned anything about the other days that we were looking at (1/17/21 and 2/14/21). We were looking at these dates because the venue informed us that there was a discount for Sunday weddings.We went back this weekend with the intention of signing the contract and securing our date for the venue. When we arrived and met with the event coordinator that we have been working with we started workout out the pricing/payment schedule. It was at that point that I realized she had added an additional $15 per person to the price we had originally received. I pointed it out and noted that was the incorrect price and she then stated, for the first time in over a month or speaking with the venue, that there was a surcharge for that particular Sunday (1/17/21) because there was a holiday that Monday (MLK Day).I noted that she had never mentioned that surcharge pricing in the past and her reply was that she didn’t tell me about the surcharge because I was interested in multiple dates - mind you two of the three dates I was interested in ended up with this surprise surcharge price.At this point the manager, Tony, chimed in as he had been sitting in the room the entire time. We again noted the issue with this surprise surcharge and Tony’s solution was simply to pick another date or pay the difference. No apology, no offer to help remedy the clear misrepresentation about the pricing on the dates I was interested in, no nothing. By the end of the conversation Tony essentially told us pay the surcharge or go somewhere else. In fact, the only solution that Tony gave was to get a less expensive package and add multiple additional upgrades.I am unbelievably disappointed in Killian/Grand Salon business etiquette especially since I was initially so hopeful about the venue and my ability to have a great experience there.Some people would certainly consider their business practices dishonest - though I would hope that others do not experience the same lack of tact when dealing with this venue.FYI: If dealing with Tony be prepared because he is hands down the most arrogant and condescending individual I have yet to meet in my wedding preparations and I have been to over 20 venues at this point.
My wedding took place at Killian Palms Country Club (Grand Salon Ballroom) in early March. I had been planning my wedding with the Grand Salon staff for over a year and half before my big day. I have to say Kathy and Tony were extremely helpful and kind throughout the process. Even on the day of the wedding, my bridal party emphasized how helpful Kathy had been by getting the group coordinated before the ceremony procession and ensuring hors doeuvres were brought to us when we were being neglected by the wait staff.I could not find anywhere else in Miami that offered a similar overall value. Its an even better deal when you use all of their vendors, as their packages are all-inclusive (plated dinner, premium open bar, cake, flowers, photography, and DJ included). I ended up using a photographer and DJ outside of their package, which definitely added heavily to my budget (especially since the credit returned when using alternative vendors is terrible). My only frustration that I had in the planning process was adding extra upgrades and details. Be absolutely sure of any extras that you would like added, as the staff charges 10% penalty to have anything removed (even over a year in advance from the wedding).The venues façade is modest, but it has a captivating charm once you enter inside. The outdoor garden where I had my ceremony is very beautiful with lush landscaping. The bathrooms are very well kept as well. I had my reception in their larger ballroom. The ballroom is ideally sized for 180 guests or less, anymore and it goes get a bit cramped. I will admit that my wedding was large (almost 200 guests), but the wait staff was a bit negligent throughout the entire day. All the guests were waiting for water the whole night, and as previously mentioned it was not until Kathy instructed the staff, that the bridal party was brought hors doeuvres during cocktail hour.Lastly, I need to highlight M&J Custom Events which is one of the venues internal florist vendors. Yira and her team are phenomenal! For my personal taste, I did have to upgrade my flowers from what was offered in the package, but Yira (the florist) really brought my vision to life. The flowers were such a show stopper and really set the ambiance for the entire wedding!Overall, I am very happy with how my wedding turned out and thank the Grand Salon team (special shout to Kathy and Tony) for their assistance from beginning to end.
I definitely did not feel any of the wedding stress that everyone talks about because I had the friendly, organized, and helpful staff at the Grand Salon who offered unbelievable inclusive packages. The venues were absolutely beautiful and the vendors were amazing. We couldn’t have had a better experience!

I want to thank all the staff at Grand Salon Reception Hall for making our wedding run so smoothly and I specially want to thank Carolina for making it so special, and for being so attentive the day of! The salon is beautiful and was exactly the perfect place for the type of wedding we were looking for. The food was delicious and the service throughout the entire process of planning my wedding was both very professional and caring! I will completely recommend this place to anyone as I will definitely consider it for my own future family events!
This place was great. The contract that we signed, the Hall fulfilled beyond my satisfaction. They provided every thing we needed from the DJ to food; even giving us choices of bakery and florist. Highly recommend this venue.
I work at a middle school here in Miami-Dade County and this is our 3rd year scheduling Grand Salon for our 8th graders prom. We worked with Kathleen, the event producer, and were very happy with her service to us. The kids love the dance floor and they are very accommodating with allowing up to help set up and even set up some of our own things. The food is great and there are plenty of spaces for great pictures, which our kids look forward to. We will continue to schedule our dances here.
Like most brides, I was extremely nervous picking out our venue for our wedding day. However, after looking at many places throughout Miami, picking Killian Palms Country Club became easy. Nothing else came close. We decided to have both our ceremony and reception there. The Gazebo was a wonderful setting for the outdoor wedding I always wanted and Ciudamar room was perfect for our smaller guest list. Every detail of our wedding met our expectations. The food was delicious! In fact, my guests told me multiple times how impressed they were. The staff at Grand Salon are all professionals! From planning our wedding to the day of the event, my husband and I were extremely satisfied. They even sent us beautiful photos of our event before we had gotten any from our photographer! I can’t recommend them enough!
My daughters Quinces was this past Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Grand Salon Reception Hall. My experience with Samantha the Coordinator was amazing very professional. Tony the head waiter was very helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic. The DJ was fantastic played all the songs I wanted. I would recommend this venue.

WORST experience EVER for my wedding! Do NOT recommend what so ever! I paid over $9000 to have my ceremony and reception to be here.Let start off with they send you a check list to go over everything a week prior to your wedding to make sure everything is correct. I dont know what for if what was on the check list was not what I had. For the ceremony I had asked for the red carpet not be included but thank God to my mom and sister for telling them to remove it, as it was super dirty and disgusting.Then when I had spoke with the venue for setting up my party favors they advised I would have to come an hour before and no earlier to set up, but what for if they were trying to kick us out the whole time.Our ceremony went over 10 mins but we cut the cocktail hour short so we could be back on time since I sent the time line to the venue and it was approved by them. In my time line it shows that the grand entrance/dances started at 7:00 pm we finished all the dances by 7:20 pm, so then the venue does a little firework for the dinner presentation and right after that the kitchen was suppose to start serving the salad as the toast were going on. After the toast the toast i noticed the food was being severed so i started greeting my guest. I visited 70% of my guest (our of 100) and that is when Miriam came up to me saying they had the wrong dressing for the salad. Again what was the check list a week prior to the wedding for? I told her forget about the salad and start serving the main dish as it was already 8:00pm when the food was supposed to start being severed at 7:25pm. She told me no that everything has to be in order I told her I dont care about order she is throwing off my timeline! she told me that she needs to go in order. so at 8:30pm the main dish still was not severed and when I spoke with Mariam she said they can not serve the food until everyone was done with salad. Mind you the bouquets and Gardner toss was suppose to start at 8:20pm so we can start the dances by 8:30pm. you know what time it started? AT 9:30pm!!! my guest and I only had 30 MINS TO DANCES AND HAVE FUN!!!!! Then she had the Audacity to come up to me saying she know they were at fault and they usually charge $750 for an extra hour but they will give it to me for $500. DISRESPECTFUL and so RUDE. Dont waste your time or money especially for a day that should be unforgettable.
We had the best time time at our wedding!! Thank you to the staff for working with us even through the rain to make our dream outside ceremony a reality!! FL weather is very unpredictable and I was really set on keeping it outdoors, so the staff waited for a dry patch, got all the chairs dry and got us through just in time before the next batch of rain came! I couldnt be more thankful and the fireworks were a hit!! The ballroom was absolutely breathtaking and exactly what I had in mind! Thank you to the staff, the chefs and the coordinators for making our dream come true.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Killian and all the staff! My Wedding was more than I ever expected thanks to them. Jocelyn was a dream to work with. From the beginning they addressed every detail and kept in constant communication. They honestly don’t leave much to stress about. I was supposed to have an Oak Tree Ceremony but, being Miami, a huge storm rolled in that day and we had to move the ceremony inside. They made sure everything was set up to my liking and walked me through all the changes. Even throughout the ceremony and reception Jocelyn was there directing everyone and making sure everything was perfect for me. They truly are the best!Oh and the food was SPECTACULAR! Everything from the home made appetizers to the filet mignon to the beautiful cheese station was to die for. All the guests raved about it.

My wife and I got married at Killian Palms Country Club. We couldn’t be happier with the entire Grand Salon team and their vendors. From day one, they worked alongside us to make sure all our requests were met and often made even better. We had a beautiful Oak Tree Ceremony, outside cocktail hour, and reception in the ballroom. We feel fortunate to have found such an amazing team to help us plan our event. Their vendors also went above and beyond. All of our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about our wedding and location. Needless to say, we highly recommend Grand Salon.
Among the many shopping center banquet halls in Miami, the Grand Salon Reception Hall stands above and apart from others. Grand Salon is located just off the 874 Expressway and Killian Parkway. Because its located in a very popular shopping center, parking is tricky. Once you step inside, you quickly forget the parking hassle and are brought into a very elegant event space. The venue mostly caters to the Wedding and Quince market and they do a fine job with very attentive staff. Recently @84WestEvents provided services there for a #DestinationWedding client. After the wedding, our client expressed how wonderful everything was and how accommodating the Grand Salon planners and staff were. Good job Grand Salon Reception Hall.

The staff is amazing! They tend to accommodate and satisfy your wedding needs. It would help if you speak Spanish to communicate with the vendors theyve partnered up with. Aside from communication barriers, everyone is amazing and understanding except for their partner M&J custom events and rentals. She is very disrespectful and dont value clients time and business. She was late for our 1st meeting, then lost the paper works, when I asked her to be more professional, she became even more disrespectful. Do not waste time going there but do visit other vendors to make an inform decision.P.S I do want to send a special shout out to Jocelyn, Ryanne, and Jade for alleviating the stress I had to deal with and for making my wedding day a memorable one.
I had my wedding reception at this location and out of all wedding duties this was by far the most stressful.I was having a destination wedding in Miami and I lived in Chicago. Their communication was horrible and every time I let them know how upset I was, nothing changed, nobody cared. If I wanted to get things done or get the answer I was looking for I HAD to come in to the office and speak to them face to face. Meaning, I had to make flights to come in. Not one single person attends to you, the emails get responded by whoever sees it first so the back and forth communication gets very confusing and repetitive.The day of my wedding Lisset was helpful in coordinating everything for the day, especially when my mariachi band did not show up. But when it came time for my cake cutting my cutlery for the cake cutting went missing and I was assured,by Lisset, that their staff were not allowed to take anything from off the tables. So in order to not waste time I went ahead and used one of their cheap plastic sets to take my photos and video. Once the photo and video left for the night that is when my cutlery APPEARED. Apparently the staff took it to the back to shine it. Dinner came out extremely late which meant that everyone was sitting around waiting to eat and my dancing time was cut short. The DJ even came up to me and asked me what was happening with dinner. Their excuse was that the toasts took too long, which really has nothing to do with why dinner wasnt ready to be served. If it wasn’t for their help AFTER the wedding and providing security footage for a serious issue, I would have given them a 2.Overall, I wish they cared more and payed more attention to the clients needs and wants.The location was great, The food was great, the venue is affordable (love that it comes with all the vendors), the reception hall is super nice but the SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION IS NOT GOOD.For my desserts/cake: I used Divine DelicaciesFlowers: Glamour Floral CreationsDJ: I didn’t go with their DJ because he had horrible reviews.Photographer: I had one already paid for
The wedding was a great success!!Miriam & her staff were great helping me plan the event. Tony & the staff who worked the event were excellent. They basically fulfilled our every need & waited on us hand & foot. Everything was beautiful, well scheduled, and I received many compliments on the elegance of the hall, the food, the Vienesse station, the floral arrangements, and the excellent service of the staff. The floral arrangements done by Jean at Floral Creations by J&M were breathtaking, and she is a pleasure to work with. The MC Frank Nuñez & his wife also did a great job. They were professional and ensured the event flowed effortlessly.
There were some red flags in the beginning when they wanted to charge me more than what they originally quoted me for but I went through with it anyways. I was supposed to have my wedding in their gazebo but when it rained they offered no solution or compensation. Most of the staff dont seem to care about their customers at all.
The food & waiters were great, and the recommended vendors are all excellent. But We do have to say that the event coordinators suck! They have awful customer service, they are all over the place, they tell you one thing and then they want to tell you another. And the most awful things is that the coordinator gives your guest attitude. I would not recommend this place to no one just because of the horrible service when it comes to coordinating your event.
Very early on on the process of wedding planning we fell in love with the reception halls and ceremony places of Grand Salon reception Hall and even though we live out of state decided to go with them since most of our family and friends live in Miami. Grand Salon event coordinators guided us the entire process and made sure that we had everything we needed to make our wedding day a perfect one. I loved that they provided everything you need in their packages (food, flowers, table set up, cake, security, servers, etc) and all the vendors that they work with and recommended were very professional and did excellent work. Also their packages, for everything they include, are very very very very fairly priced, it was one of the most beautiful venues that we looked at and the only one that didn’t exceed our budget for the things we wanted. The food was absolutely delicious (we did the bourbon glazed chicken, rice pilaf and roasted potatoes) our guest LOOOOOOOVEEED it, there was not a plate that had food left in it. They also provided an open bar for the whole reception time which was also AMAZING, the cocktails and liquor provided were of excellent quality and guests absolutely enjoyed it (we are still hearing about it days after). We had our wedding ceremony at the gazebo and then did the reception at their other location in front of Miami Dade College and it was absolutely stunning, guest had no issue finding both locations and parking was plentiful. Since we live out of state we only went for the tasting and went to pick our flowers and cake on the same visit, they were super responsive to e-mails and phone calls and answered every question we ever had. They also provide an event producer and day off coordinator which will help make sure all of the major decisions are done (who is the florist, who is bringing the cake, etc.) as well as talking with you and seeing what do you want for wedding day to look like in terms of colors, how you want your napkins folded, what color ties you want, basically all the little details. Honestly my husband and I could not be happier with our decision of holding our wedding at Grand Salon. If I could give them 100 out of 5 stars I would, if you are even considering holding your event here please do; you won’t regret it. Theres not one thing I would change about my wedding day and that’s almost entirely due to Grand Salon and their excellent service. Thank you GS for making a wedding day the best day of my life.(I will attach pictures once I get them)
My husband and I got married here in February. When we started looking for venues last year, we were looking for something that was elegant and classy, with the option of an outdoor ceremony without costing a small fortune. I immediately loved the Grand Salon venue located at the Killian Palms Country Club, as they had a beautiful outside ceremony space, included soooo many things in their price that made it easy to coordinate, and a lovely ballroom area on site for the reception. We decided to have an oak tree ceremony, and since we were having a small wedding, we chose the ciudamar room. The whole process leading up to the wedding went very smooth from this perspective. You get a choice of vendors for flowers and cake. I went with Glamour Floral Creations and Tinas Original Cakes. My decorative flowers were absolutely gorgeous, and the flowers for the bridal party were spectacular and affordable. I was even able to get a lit arch for the ceremony space. The cake was beautiful and delicious as well. All of the Grand Salon staff were incredibly professional. I asked a million questions throughout the process and they were very patient and rapid with responding. The food was absolutely amazing. All of my guests raved about it, and they also loved the open bar, of course. The DJ that comes with the package was great too. None of my guests (or myself) stopped dancing the whole night. All in all my wedding was absolutely spectacular and perfect, and my guests could not get over how great the venue is. It truly is a hidden gem, especially if youre looking for a beautiful, low-hassle and affordable place to get married.

There is only one horrible issue with this place & that is the people at the office who you deal with during the event preparation. There are 3 woman on the office who will only be willing to help you on two occasions. The day that you are signing the contract, & the day they are collecting your money. For example, when my wife first asked them for the packages, we learn that asking any question will be too much of a burden for them. Their attitude was horrible most of the time & they made it seem as if we should already know all that is needed to know for a marriage preparation. Also getting in contact with them was impossible, you have to call 8 to get an answers, if I ever get them to pick up the phone. When they were confronted about this their response was that they were too busy & we should send emails instead. When we sent emails they also took days to respond. When we had to do the wedding invitations, there were mistakes repeatedly. They said the invitations took a week & took 3 to print. Even the day of our wedding they had a car parked in front blocking the entrance. When I asked them to move the car as my soon to be wife was about to arrive they lie saying they moved it. In general they were the hardest part of my weeding.On the other hand all the other people were excellent. The food & waiters were good, the recommended vendors are all excellent. Personally we went with Lopez photography, Mr. Bee’s cakes, concept music, Weddings by Frank, and M & J flowers. These vendors make dealing with the people at the salon’s office worth the effort. They will even give you more information on how to conduct the weeding than the 3 women at the office. Not to mention the vendors are extremely flexible, nothing like the 3 woman at the office who would not even take more than a minute after 6 if you needed any information. This place should be a 5 star reception hall, but dealing with irresponsible, arrogant, & reticent at the office made it to be a 1 at best.
The Greenglade Elementary Fifth Grade Graduation celebration at Grand Salon Reception Hall was truly amazing, the students had an amazing time. Everything was perfect, an impecable salon beautifully decorated, excellent service, delicious food, inviting ice cream station, fun photo booth, and an awesome music. We are very thankful to all the staff for such successful graduation party!!!

The Grand Salon Ballroom is a beautiful venue for any special occassion. All of the staff are profressional & helpful. Our family ate & danced the night away at my daughters Sweet 16s! I would recommend this venue to all my friends & family!!!!
It rained on our wedding day...we paid the additional price for the gazebo package and they were COMPLETELY not ready for plan B. Waited an hour and a half and had all our guests waiting outside for so long... People were let in and they were still setting up. My bouquet was bruised, brown and wilted. I ended up using my hastily prepared throw away bouquet as my bridal bouquet. Even though they started an hour and a half late they STIIL ended the reception at 10 PM. I felt cheated out of so many things on my special day... My maid of honor and mother went early to drop off our table numbers, programs, bubbles and such but they were closed till the hour before and would not answer ANY PHONE CALLS THAT DAY to try to figure out plan B. I really wish I could re-do my wedding day... But not here
Loved this place! Lizzy and the rest of the staff including the owner were so professional and made our Baby Shower so special. The bar and venue were equisite and the food was the best we have ever eaten in a banquet hall including the cake. The DJ played all the music we asked for and the flowers were beautiful. I recommend Grand Salon/Cuidarmar Halls to everyone wanting a great ballroom and an awesome time.

Beautiful venue, amazing reception hall, delicious fillet mignon(my compliments to the chef)secured and ample parking lot. Went to a friends wedding at Killian Palms Country Club Banquet Hall; THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!The guest arrived about 15 min early and were not allowed to enter the Hall until the scheduled time - there were several elderly adults well over the age of 75 having heat exhaustion with Miami temps well over 90 degrees. Throughout the entire event, some of the employees were rude to other guests. I was appalled on the employees behavior toward the elderly guests. I would NOT (EVER) recommend this banquet hall to any one!Absolutely ZERO customer service skills.
My husband and I got married at Killian Palms Country Club on 12/17/16. From day one, Jayde, Liset, and all of the staff made sure our vision would become a reality. They worked with us to ensure that our elaborate event went smoothly. All their vendors were also a dream to work with—M&J Custom Events, Tina’s Original Cakes, and Concept Music. We also worked with some of their recommended vendors—Weddings by Marty, Frank Nuñez, Kristy and Vic Photography, Sunflower Entertainment, and Best Fireworks. We could not be happier with all of them! The day of our wedding was perfect and even better than we could have imagined. Everyone was amazed at how beautiful the ceremony space was in their new area by the oak trees and how elegantly the ballroom was set up. The service was impeccable and everyone loved the food. Our wedding guests, my husband, and I enjoyed the evening so much, we did not want the night to end! We are so thankful at how hard the staff worked leading up to and the day of our wedding. Needless to say, we highly recommend Grand Salon and Killian Palms Country Club!

When my husband and I (at the time he was my fiancé) went to Grand Salon for the first time, we thought that the place was perfect for our wedding. We’ve always wanted to get married under an oak tree and Grand Salon had it. Not only that, but the reception area is beautiful. My husband and I decided to plan our wedding within 6 months. The girls at Grand Salon were great to work with; they were kind and friendly. However, when it came down to explaining information, they all had something different to say. One girl would tell me one thing, and the other would say something else. In all honesty, they added more stress to the wedding planning then anyone or anything else did. Another con would be that literally right next to their gazebo/oak tree area there is a playing field (for sports). When my husband and I first visited the outside area, it was extremely noisy. We voiced our concerns and the girls made it a point to say that they will make sure no one is playing out in that field the night we get married. Well.. that night at 8PM there were people playing out in that field.. And it was noisy.. In my wedding videos, as I’m walking down the aisle, you can hear people in the background screaming (not too happy about that). Not only that, we were told that our oak tree would have lights all over it – there weren’t any lights on the tree the night of the wedding – I was really looking forward to seeing the tree filled with lights in the photos and videos (I didn’t notice the night of the wedding because I was solely focused on my hubby). Additionally, the DJ (DJ Concept) I was NOT too fond of (he was part of the package that my husband and I chose)– I know that this isn’t Grand Salon’s fault but I would like to mention what happen. There was another wedding going on that night and the DJ was working both. There was the Head DJ and then his assistant.. The Head DJ went to the other wedding and he left us with the assistant. The assistant had no idea what he was doing. He wasn’t sure how to dim the lights, he didn’t know how to bring down the disco ball, it was quite frustrating. Thank God for my personal event planner, she figured out how to dim the lights and bring out the disco ball. Not only was he not that great with everything that he was doing, we mentioned before the wedding that we did not want any vulgar language in the music - that didn’t happen. When I confronted the assistant, he explained that he did not know because he didn’t understand (he only spoke Spanish). Now with the good: Divine Delicacies did a FANTASTIC job with our cake! It tasted wonderful! The cake was so moist and perfect. Glamour Floral Creations, completely blew our mind! Our wedding arch was spectacular, the lanterns that went down the aisle gave it a little umph, the centerpieces were stunning; I even had them decorate our cake and they killed it. Both of these vendors were also part of the package that my husband and I choose with Grand Salon. Moreover, I will add that, Jocelyn (one of the event planners at the venue), did a fantastic job the night of the wedding. She was on top of everything and everyone. I loved her! She was so protective of me (being the bride) and I could tell that she genuinely wanted to help us and make us happy! All in all, my husband and I did enjoy our wedding. It was beautiful and such a huge blessing. I am thankful to Antonio (the assistant manager) we bumped heads quite a few times, but he did his best. As well as to Ryanne – she is the one who explained the different packages to us and how it all works (we were her first clients and she did great!).
I had my wedding event this past weekend in the Grand Salon Ballroom and could not wait to write my review. First from start to finish, from gazebo ceremony to reception in the ballroom - it was all amazing. Lizzy was there to oversee that eveything went smoothly (she is the best). Mario was part of the serving staff (class act), and Frank Nunez as the master of ceremony (the professor) kept everybody entertained and wanting more . Facebook blew up after my wedding and as myself including all my guests we were more than satisfied . If your looking for a place for your wedding venue look no further, food was great, the vendors they reference are excellent . Made the right choice when i picked the grand salon ballroom . As funny as it seems I was saddened after my venue was over, i grew a bond with the event planners at the grand salon (lizzy) and knew our relationship had come to an end .. If i could give grand salon more stars i would . Great place I hope someone find this review useful .
