Great place to go when you have a problem with your teeth or crowns. Had my wisdom tooth removed here. Waiting time was very fast (about 7 min). The equipment is modern and state-of-the-art. Doctor is very knowledgeable and experienced. I felt no pain at all. Plus they added some bone tissue for best healing and didn’t charge me for it (that itself is an easy $1000 or more! Very very nice office in the boa - “clock” building on Lincoln rd and Washington

Avoid at all cost!!!! i called and asked for the price of a simple extraction because i was in pain and it was an emergency. they didnt want to tell me the price over the phone and they told me to come in for a consultation.Once there they took xrays and then made me wait 2hrs before telling me it would cost 1300$ !!! 2 years ago when it was run by the former dentist is was only 400$$ the new dentist is running a money grabbing scam. avoid at all cost

They were terrific! Very professional and very clean office. I was visiting Miami for my job and had a horrible tooth ache. They took me right away and solved the issue (it was a bit more complicated than i thought). The Dentists and the Assistants are Extremely Cute and really know what they are doing. Always great service and outstanding professionalism.

First time patient and made an appointment in advance for a cleaning. They didn’t bother checking my insurance to see that this particular type of X-ray (which is completely unnecessary for a cleaning) wasn’t covered since I had already one recently. Had they told me earlier I could’ve had my prior dentist send them but they decided to tell me 15min after my appointment was due and I had been waiting to go in. After calling my dentist and getting an X-ray sent out they told me they needed a different a type of scan. Whatever I told them I’ll pay it out pocket. 45 min later and I was still sitting in the lobby waiting to be brought in. After waiting an hour and being completely ignored by the staff, I walked out without even meeting the Dr’s assistant.I can’t speak to the quality of the doctor’s services, since I didn’t get a chance to receive any, but I can speak to the disinterest from the admin staff in handling a new patient and their disregard for my time.

Great place, the receptionist is delightful and professional, the dentist and staff are all very well educated. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and cared for. During my treatment the Dentist and Assistant made sure I felt comfortable and that I was informed about what was going on and how to keep my teeth in tip top health. Best dental clinic I have been to thus far and recommend them to anyone who needs excellent dental care.

If I could give 0 stars that would be the rating, the place is pretty and well located, the girls inside very friendly, I made an appt for my yearly teeth cleaning they took my xrays and then to the doctor so he can see what is going on with my exams, I go yearly to my dentist, he found that my front veneers were not good, I had done them 2 years ago, they had to be replaced by crowns, my cleaning needed an extra cleaning fee for $ 85, I needed night guards, I had a problem with a molar in the back which doesnt bother me and so many other things I didnt understand, he didnt do the cleansing, I needed to pay around 2K for the job he was advising, I left that place overwhelmed with all the things I had to have done, made an appointment with my husbands dentist that lives a bit far away from me and she said everything was perfect, no need to change my veneers and none of the other stuff the doctor said I needed to do with them was correct!! Be aware of this place the only thing they want is your money they dont care about the patient, very bad practice they do in there. :(

Everyone was cordial, knowledgeable, forthright, and it was pleasant to be there. I first visited the office after experiencing wisdom teeth pain and Dr. Valls and his staff quickly helped me with the extraction (which was seamless). I have since gone back for a cleaning with Alejandra and it was top notch (she was so meticulous, it was wonderful). The office is super clean, excellent mask compliance, and made me feel safe about going to the dentist during COVID. very happy to have them in our Miami Beach neighborhood :)

Best experience along all these years I have been visiting other clinics and dentists. I went to South Beach Dentistry because a friend recommended the place, the staff and mainly Dr Valls. I am absolutely grateful and pleased with the result as a whole. I needed help with a painful tooth, Dr Valls recommended a root canal because I had a bad infection in it and we initiated the treatment. It was totally painless even with the anesthesia injection (I dont like needles at all!!!!!!!!!) and the recovery is being easy and calm. Excellent staff and highly qualified Doctor. I strongly recommend the clinic and their services.

Another MONEY GRABBING South Beach dentistI went in for a procedure and came out without a tooth and was charged $500 (yes five hundred dollar rip off) for it.Bad dentist and now a bad excuse.They not only overcharge for BAD services, now they claim we did not go there, and trying to tell me to go back, so they can steal even more $.If you need a dentis DO NOT GO THERE. I have recently started coming to SBD and I absolutely love it! The staff is all so sweet and care for their patients so much! Dr. Valls is the best in the game, he is always 100% honest & always does the best job with my teeth. I just got my wisdom teeth removed 2 days ago and I can already eat/ lightly chew pasta!!! This is a huge improvement considering the stories i’ve heard about other wisdom teeth procedures!! I highly recommend Dr. Valls at SBD...you won’t regret it!!!

What a great experience! I went to Dr. Valls’ office to get a baby tooth removed and an implant. He was extremely knowledgeable and made sure that I was comfortable with the procedure. After this, I wanted to get Invisalign and I had moved to Clearwater (4 hours away) but I still come back regularly to South Beach Dentistry to get my Invisalign treatment! Strongly recommend!

I have visited the clinic before. Dr. Valls has taken care of my dental health several times, always the best service. Today I wanted to leave a brief comments because this experience was related to Invisalign, its a new technology, new era of braces. He gave me a detailed explanation of the process, he also showed me a digital transformation of my teeth after using the Invisalign. I already started to use them, extremely comfortable, I can smile without any shame :) . I left the office with my next appointment for follow up already scheduled. Dr. Maya was great. He was very kind, competent, quick and I could tell the placement of the temporary he and his assistant did for me was handled with much more care then a previous dentist assisted me with. I highly recommend this practice.

There is no way I will ever come back to this office. My wife was treated by their dental hygienist who hurt her while having her teeth cleaned. I went back there today assuming that that was the freak situation in the same dental hygienist did my cleaning. I am a doctor, and under no circumstances would I recommend that this hygienist ever touch another human being. She didnt hurt me but it was the worst cleaning Ive ever experienced. What did hurt was her Non-Stop gaggling and constant litany of nonstop chatter about how well experienced she is and the fact that since her father was a dentist that she knows everything. One of the dentist came into the room and I try discussing some questions I had oh, he wasnt allowed to answer because she put it in and gave all the answers didnt allow the dentist to answer my questions. The dentist himself is a great dentist but as of today is not going to be in that office any longer. I dont think anybody else should ever be in that office again either.

I was visiting Miami when I had a dental emergency. The professionals at South Beach Dentistry were so kind and understanding. They got me in right away and were so reasonable with the pricing. I highly recommend Dr Valls and his clinic if you are looking for a professional who can help you with your dental health. Excellent assistance, high quality services and nice environment. I can tell you from my own personal experience, I have always been afraid of dentist and this was by far a peaceful and non-stressful at all experience. My husband and I took out our wisdom teeth with him and we had a quick and painless recovery; he used a procedure called PRF (high tech), which helped with the gums healing and regeneration.

What a great practice! Returned calls after office hours and gave me an appointment the same day for some unexpected dental work. The office staff was polite, professional, and very efficient. Dr Mayan was thorough, timely, and explained all very clearly. He presented several options and allowed my input in the treatment plan. I won’t even mind going back for the second part of my treatment.

I have been searching for a good dental office for years and can finally say this is by far the best one I have been to in 20 years living in Miami! Tired of high pressure sales in Miami dentistry I decided to try south beach. Glad I did, the location is easy to get to and park near, the office is bright and clean and the staff is so nice. Dr. Mayo was great and I felt zero pain while my tooth was drilled out and a temp crown was put in. I’m not even nervous to go get my permanent in two Weeks. Totally recommend this place.

I used to say what’s the point of setting up an appointment? If you get to it on time or early they see you almost an hour later! Not the case with this office. The office is nice and the staff and doctor are friendly. However, I specifically requested an appointment for a cleaning. After evaluation, he recommended I get two fillings AFTER my cleaning. I agreed to have the fillings done but after they were finished, I was told that I would have to get my cleaning done another day! I specifically came for the cleaning. After I expressed that I was unhappy with the service, the doctor decided to perform the cleaning himself. Unfortunately, that was the MOST PAINFUL cleaning I have ever had. I normally fall asleep during cleanings, but not this one! Half my mouth was numb and it still hurt. I feel like the whole thing became a bait and switch. This was not the experience I had hoped for.

I went in for a check up and to get a cleaning. I have always had great dental care. On my first visit they said I needed a $50 upgrade cleaning and all my fillings removed and replaced. I got a second opinion and normal cleaning from another dentist. Im very glad I did. The other dentist said my teeth looked normal and did not advise a $50 upcharge cleaning. She suggested only one filling be replaced.

Unless you are only going there for cleaning I would not recommend this place at all . I had two crowns done there and what a disaster it was. One crown had a hole in it and they tried to cover it up with cement which later fell off so they HAD to redo the crown. They used cheap cement of both crowns (even their own lab technician confirmed that ) and both crowns turned dark color. They replaced one but refuse to replace the other even through it was hurting and my gum wouldnt stop bleeding the doctor woudnt even take second Xray to check what was going on . Absolutely horrible experience. Save your money and find a better dentist who doesnt use cheap materials .

When I arrived at the doctors office, I was very frustrated because of a mistake made by a dentist from another doctors office. Major thumbs up, for South Beach Dentistry! I was evacuated from St Thomas to Miami, after Hurricane Irma, and when I snapped the veneer off my left upper front incisor. it was a disaster on top of a disaster! Michelle, the receptionist, realized my near-panic and squeezed me in between scheduled appointments the very same morning, and I had a temporary cap on that very sensitive and exposed nerve by lunch! I was a little annoyed to receive a text the next day asking for a review, but everything DID work out, and I am very pleased with my new permanent crown! (And I really like the group photo on your home page!)

On vacation, at Lowes Hotel on south Beach, and had a dental problem. I googled them and they had great reviews so called and they got me in immediately. I walked only two blocks to the office. Cost was extremely reasonable. I would have gladly paid more. I was so happy they could help me. Friendly and helpful bilingual staff. Doctor Maya was very knowledgeable and sympathetic to my problems. I kept thanking him for seeing me and he just smiled and said it was his pleasure to help me. Needed a new dentist and this place was within walking distance from my home and I was impressed with their online rating. Requested an appointment through their website and they called me almost immediately. Was impressed by that. Wanted to make an appointment for a cleaning and check-up, which I did. What surprised me is that they wouldn’t do a cleaning at the first because stating that they didn’t know what kind of cleaning was needed. Oh boy. It’s like, hello, just give me a basic cleaning and initiate the relationship...if I need to come back I will. Never have I experienced this concept with a dentist office. But ok, fine, I won’t be a princess and decided to work with them. I show up and confirm that they take my insurance. I’m feeling pretty lucky at this point. #happydance. That was short-lived. I informed them that I also had a secondary insurance should that ever be needed....and they even accepted the plan where I was co-insured. The caveat is that I would have to submit any paperwork myself. Because that is their policy. What customer service! 🤦🏻‍♂️ This was a second “first” for any doctor’s office. Submitting claims to an insurance company is an integral part of customer service. Really! Needless to say I walked out. I have no comment on the quality of the dentists, but who wants a relationship with any medical office where the customer is left to navigate the insurance plan? I only tend to write reviews if something is really amazing or just bottom-of-the-barrel awful and my very first interaction was simply unheard of in any of my in-network providers.
