Questionable business practices - Make sure to check every detail on your receipt. I got charged 20$ extra for apparently returning the car in Fort Lauderdale even though car was returned in Miami Beach. Didnt carefully check on the receipt and now customer service keeps sending me a standard answer email saying they did nothing wrong. Be careful!

After walking 20min to Hertz we realized it was closed. I searched car rentals and sixt came up on Google. It was one block from the old Hertz building. Walked in was greeted by Ramon. He was personable and knowledgeable. He got us a great deal on our car! Highly recommend!

I was told by the guy working September 10th at 10am that I would be charged for 2 days if I brought it in by 5 on Sunday. Invoice should be $162 lower. There is not a direct number to this location and the toll free line gives no way to resolve this. This needs to be fixed now. Until then, I HIGHlY DO NOT RECOMMEND

STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Do not rent from these scammers. What you booked is not what you get and when you returned the car and confirm that it was return with the employees you will still get bill for one extra day. Customer service is the worst, no care or concern from any of the employees. Worst experience I ever had renting a car, never again. A car that should of cost about $800 for the time we had it now cost over $1500, a complete ripoff. This company overall is the worst. We have another car on their Sixt Plus program for over 5 months. The car has a bad tire, the car needs service and they do nothing about it. We already paid for one bad tire that almost blew up from a sidewall separation now there is another one.

Another disappointment by Sixt. I initially wrote to Sixt and left a review about the unsafe, dirty, and damaged condition of the car I was provided with during my rental in Miami in April 2021. They ended up getting in touch with me about my experience and partially remedied it. So I will give them credit for that.Today, however,I received my toll invoice from my trip (2 months later). I was doubly charged for half of my tolls adding over $25.00 to my toll invoice. Why they charge $5.00 to process each toll is beyond me, but doubly charging me is completely unacceptable. For example a $1.32 toll after the processing fee should be $6.32 ($1.32 toll plus $5.00) processing fee. For me, that was $12.64 since they charged twice.This company is truly disappointing and needs to get it together. I cannot in good faith recommend this company to anybody and will definitely not be using them again. Not worth the frustration or time I need to spend trying to fix all of the mistakes made and poor service.

Everything was good until I received my invoice showing one extra day of my total rental.My rental was from Wednesday, Aug 11th at 11am and returned on Friday, Aug 13th at around 4pm. That should counts 3 days. But the invoice I received shows I returned the car on Sunday, Aug 15th at 10am. I was flew back to Chicago on Saturday morning and there is no way I could return a car on Sunday at Miami Beach.Email their customer service a week ago and no response.The one start is not about the mistake they made, but the poor customer service.

We have been using Sixt for many years but I guess not anymore. We paid for renting Grand Cherokee for 4 days in Miami Beach. We specifically came to the Sixt store on 5th and were told that they have two Grand Cherokee available. One is having the oil changed, the other will be returned in 3 hours. We paid for everything and the agent told us he will give us a call when the oil is changed (he said in about an hour) or if the other car is returned faster, then he will give us a call then. So we waited half of the day for the call and nobody even tried to call us. Every time we tried to call to the store it would go straight to voicemail. So we came back to the store ourselves and the same agent said that he doesn’t have any Grand Cherokee at all. Like why would you say that you have 2 cars that a customer want, promise to give a call and then never do neither of promised things?So disappointing! Wasted our day for nothing and btw the agent never apologized!

Made a reservation online for a car i picked. When i went to pick it up. They didnt have the car and gave me something else instead. Thought ok i wont be that difficult person. Good deal on booking. Literally the best rental car company I have ever come across! I don’t own a car, I just rent one when I need to go anywhere (I live in a city with great public transport). I may rent a car three times a month. In ten years I have had one problem with a car, ONE problem in ten years renting two or three times a month! (Flat tire on a BMW. BMW doesn’t put spare tires in their cars, they use runflats.)

I walked in and spoke to Mr.Hussain K about renting a car. I was given the fees associated with my needs and I agreed. We were told that we’d get a specific car and to come back at 5pm. When we arrived the car we were promised had been “picked up by someone in corporate”. Mr. Hussain told us he’d waive the extra fees (for us to take the car back to the airport instead of our original location) because of the mixup. The next day we dropped the car off at the airport and asked if there’d be additional charges…they told us that there wouldn’t be. Days later we were charged the full amount. When I reached out to corporate they told us there was nothing they could do. Mr.Hussain lied and because he was deceitful we were left to pay more.

I didnt get the car that I booked on the required location. The saff gave me a car to drive with it to the next office to pick it up. They also gave me a GPS to help me, but it was not easy to fix it in the car. The car what I rented was a BMW430i Covertible. Everything was fine with the car.

Most unprofessional business and car rental branch I’ve ever used. Bad experience from the car itself and from the employees including the supervisor.Rented a car that smelled like marijuana, had clothes and shoes in the backseat, was dirty and the list goes on. Waited days for a call from the supervisor and never received a call back.I was warned against this branch but I still chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. First time and last time. Terrible service. Enterprise is the best.

SIXT has really gotten its act together. Great deals on car rentals and great service. I used to think of them as one of the companies that always is trying to tack on extra fees and restrictions, but thats not the case any more. They are professionals like the other top companies. UPDATE: Since I wrote this, I rented a couple more times from this SIXT office. No problem with any aspect of the rentals -- great prices, and excellent service. On my last rental, an agent named Eddie was very helpful.

This location is only a few blocks away from our office when Im working in Miami, first time arriving I was very surprised on how clean and modern the store was. Unlike other rental places Ive see in South Beach that remind you of a run down train stations lost and found office lolFrom my first time renting Ive observed not only the cleanliness but also the agents wearing white dress shirts and everyone smiling (very refreshing) Also the customer service stands out, if there are people waiting in line the manager offered waters and other staff reassured everyone that everyone would be helped shortly. At the desk the process reminds you of a swift check in to a high end resort, very informative, pleasant and personable. Few times I had a scheduling conflict with work and the agent worked quickly to resolve my issue. For work I travel a ton using few different rental companys that I have memberships with and I can easily say that this location by far is the most pleasant. One more thing that has been very consistent is the cars I reserve, clean & almost exact model I choose during booking if not better.Last few rentals I also had a pleasure of having Anthony as my agent, very attentive and goes above and beyond to resolve any issue and to accommodate me in any way. 5 star customer service and as Ive stated before very refreshing for mediocre South Beach customer service that Im used to.Thank You!

I requested a car of a category and they gave me one of a lower category, even though they had that category in other stations nearby. It seems that the price they offered me was very low. They only had one car in the concession and they gave it to me dirty, smelly and without any type of disinfection against COVID. They are a disaster.

Sixt’s Money Grabbing has gone from bad to worse. I wanted to return my one Sixt rental car two days early because I was renting another car (FROM SIXT) and it was necessary given the logistics I had coming up and that I wouldn’t be able to get back down to Miami easily midweek from Fort Lauderdale due to family circumstances. I thus called the Sixt customer service team on Sunday, the 13th of September, around 1200 EST and spoke to a lady on their team to ask and confirm if I could return my vehicle early and be reimbursed for the two outstanding days rental. I did this as I had already inquired with the Miami 5th Street branch to see if I could do this and be reimbursed for the two days and they said I needed to call central customer service to get this approved as they couldnt do it without customer services prior approval. I therefore called customer service, endured their now normal, yet nonetheless impressive 30 minute wait times per call and the lady I spoke to at Customer Service checked my reservation and informed me she was making a note on my reservation that would allow me to return the car early and be reimbursed for the final two days (keep in mind I was renting another Sixt vehicle in it’s place). I then called the Miami 5th Street Branch back and they said they could see customer services approval and I could bring it in early. I would not have returned the vehicle early otherwise. I only did so because I needed to get a new reservation with Sixt from Miami airport for an extra week and couldnt easily complete those logistics during the working week. Despite all of these guarantees they have now charged me for these days and said they will not reimburse me any of the days. On top of that they delayed my check in at Miami airport by ten minutes and then charged me an additional day when I returned the second vehicle. I have been using Sixt since 2015, am a Gold Card member and have spent well in excess of $5000 with the company and this is how they reward the loyalty. I seriously advise anyone looking at renting with them to avoid their hidden fees and surcharges and rent with a company which doesn’t treat it’s loyal customers as such.

Anthony on the Miami 5th St office was a huge help, and when I broke my ankle and needed surgery, he REALLY helped us out by extending our rental via phone call because I couldnt get back there before our lease was up. I had great service at this branch - everyone was so nice and helpful. I called and came in last minute when a reservation with another car rental company in the area had fallen through (that company was not answering their phone all morning and did not have the car available that I needed.) Not only was I able to quickly rent the car I needed, but it was an easy and pleasant experience from start to finish. Including when I had to come back the next day to retrieve the sunglasses that I had left in the car.... A big thanks to Ryan, Ashley and Allison who all were amazingly helpful throughout. As well as the gentleman who checked in my car quickly even though it was closing time. Great team!

I received a call saying my car was ready a day prior, when I arrived my car was not ready and I waited an hour just to get the wrong car to exchange it the next day to another location where it took another hour to change cars. Unlike other car rental companies, Sixt does not have many branches in the US. As such, if there is a problem with the vehicle as simple as a busted tire, you can’t easily exchange the vehicle. You have to run in a risky spare tire until you reach their nearest branch which is way too far. It’s not worth the hassle. It is better to rent on a car rental company that have several branches.

Ive been renting at this location for 2 years. Let me just say the customer service has dramatically improved! Im a business owner and know the importance of having good staff, this location has definitely found some great ones. The staff is really helpful and friendly. It is a smaller location so keep in mind they dont always have every vehicle available on hand. Best tip is to reserve in advance or come in to make a reservation because the staff really goes out of their way to help accommodate you.Thank you guys!Will definitely keep coming back.Rosa

Beyond awesome experience with these guys. This location is fantastic but Ive pretty much had the same level of customer service at all of their branches throughout the world. I have to say they must have some top-notch customer service training. Almost every time Ive rented a vehicle at one price point I get bumped up into one higher or more. But the guys at this location even went so far as to load my car for me with my luggage. They were prompt and helpful with questions and even when I needed to extend my reservation and change my drop off everything was done with such ease. The app also is great and you earn points very quickly to get to higher levels of rentals. The cars are always clean and high-end.

I am normally a fan of SixT but not this time. Took almost 30 minutes to get the car and then had to walk a block away to pick it up at a parking ramp. When we tried to leave the ramp there was no way to get out since they had not left an exit ticket in the car. After calling various numbers and blocking the ramp exit for 10 minutes we final got a live human being to open the gate and let us out. SixT was not our cheapest option this time but I went with them because their service and people have been great in the past. Oh well, live and learn.

Wish I could give them zero stars! We had reserved a car months ago to guarantee a good price and when we tried to pick up they did not allow us to do so using a temporary license, which is valid to drive anywhere in the US. This is what you receive from DMV while you wait for your physical license. We went next door and had no issue at all at another car rental company! Representatives from Sixt at this location were not helpful at all, did not try to resolve being that we are allowed under law to use this license. Would not recommend this company to anyone!

Please make yourself a favor, if you want to enjoy your vacations and have a positive rental experience, avoid this place and particularly avoid dealing with the “sales agent” called Lilian R.This was the worst experience ever. She is not amiable at all and just doesn’t know what she’s doing. We gave her 1 debit card, which was not working because Sixt does not accept it, fair enough (even though they do charge your debit card at the moment of booking, of course…). So we gave 2 other credit cards, one French and one Spanish. This “agent” told us both credit cards were blocked by our bank, which was very surprising as we advised our banks we were traveling. We are foreigners so we were not able to call our bank from our mobile. Of course no way to call from Sixt office neither… We had to go back to the hotel to call our bank, to finally HEAR THAT THE TRANSACTION HAS NEVER BEEN BLOCKED but that incorrect data had been entered. Hard-worker Lilian was even not able to input the correct expiration date into her system…. When we came back and asked her to start from scratch she just complained as if it was our fault !Results: customers pissed off, half a day lost and extra charges for the international calls. Any discount offered for the ½ day lost ? Of course not! Any reimbursements for the international charges? Don’t you even think about it…This place is a mess. Sixt should definitely stop hiring interns that feel like they are in vacations in Miami. They just have no clue of what they are doing and don’t know how to handle customers neither.

We didnt get the car we asked for and no reduction for that. We ask for taking the car at 11am and we had to wait 45 minutes. No excuses for that. The agent told us it was because they were washing the car but when we came in, it was dirty inside, there was trash at the back. Usually we rent our cars with Hertz, everything is great and we dont need to pay for extra driver. With Sixt we were charged 60$ just for this and they didnt tell us anything about this charge when i asked if it was possible to put 2 drivers. very bad experience. Avoid it!

Very BAD service, we booked a car (the chepest) for 53$ and at the end of the day it was 135$ (all the taxes included). They also send us a email stating that we have damaged the car, even though IT IS NOT TRUE!!!! they told us it was everything okay and then we have receive the final bill that was more than the double of the initial price. Very disappointed

First of all, Sixt charged me 28 $ for a rebooking fee that didn’t exist. I saw later in the receipt and had to come back to the rental and waited there for their manager for 20 minutes to get it solved. Then, when you rent the car, you have to walk to a parking (with no Sixt signs) to look for the car. I spent a lot of time to find the car. They should at least bring the car to the costumer ( there was a guy staring there doing nothing ). Returned the car in Orlando with no issues at least. I won’t rent in Sixt never again.
