I’ve needed a simple tooth extraction for over a month now, but their oral surgeon only comes in twice a month. I was supposed have it removed today, but due to the oral surgeon having a family emergency I had to reschedule. Stuff happens, I get it, no problem. But they rescheduled me another 2-3 weeks from now. So basically I’ll be sitting in pain for 6 weeks straight since the initial consultation. If you need immediate dental work done, find another place.

No consideration for patients time, wasted my time not once, but twice. I cannot be fooling around with my work schedule to then have my wisdom teeth removal surgery cancelled less than an hour before it happens. Look elsewhere if you need something serious done, this place isnt it.

I hate the dentist but the people here made me feel very comfortable and helped me figure out how I can pay for the procedures I need. Extremely helpful staff.

Just had a cleaning and the new dental hygienist Hanna was awesome. She knows what shes doing and is a lot more gentle than the previous person.If you have any Dental Anxiety I definitely recommend this Gentle Dental location.Great Job!!!

Dr. Prakash is Excellent!!!! Very thorough and caring. Im terribly afraid of the dentist and shes very sensitive to that and goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Love her! Myrna is also amazing she reassured me that everything will be quick and painless which it was (double root canal) they both had me laughing through the whole procedure. Not ideal the laughing part on my end while they worked in my mouth but it worked and it made me feel relaxed. Even the girls in the front are amazing and caring. If I ever have any questions with my bills Victoria is right on it. If I could give you all 100 stars I would.

Had an extremely difficult molar extraction that Dr Richard handled like a champion. Couldve been so much worse. The staff was terrific. Polite, professional, courteous and understanding. I will absolutely go back!

Rude dentist, not the assistants but I heard the hygienist tell the dentist how tired I was from workin 36hours straight & comin straight in for my appt yet the dentist rudely had the nerve to ask me if I was high on drugs & then was yelling at me because I didn’t have 2,500 to get my work done that day literally yelling tryin to force me tellin me I must not care about myself & the way people see me if I didn’t get the work done then & there . While I was tryin to tell her look I have to talk to my mom to see if she will help me with payments but that wasn’t good enough .

No consideration for their clients time. My husband took the whole day off from work to get 5 extractions and they called and canceled the appointment! We have 3 kids and he cant afford to take another day off. So unprofessional and not accomidating at all. I dont think he should be going back here.

Just started going to Gentle Dental on Jackson St., Methuen. Although, I still hate having to go to the dentist (who doesnt) I find that my visits are so much more comfortable than ever before. The dentist explains everything to me about my care so I understand why I need the procedures she recommends. The dental assistants know their business, well, and the office staff is fantastic. Ive never had such a good experience at a dentist before. A+

Ive never experienced such professionalism walking into a dentist office. I called and needed an emergency root canal and without hesitation they took me in and from the receptionist to the hygienist to the dentist they were you know so kind and sweet to me and reassured me that I was going to leave that office pain-free and sure enough I did. Ive never experienced such empathy an understanding I would highly recommend Gentle Dental in Methuen.

Have been here before and highly recommend. Everyone is very kind, courteous and professional. Very satisfied with my experience. All staff wore proper PPE gear, had customers practice social distancing and followed other precautions such as temperature checks/disinfecting.

I would definitely recommend going to this dentist office. The women that cleaned my teeth was really really good. She is the reason I keep going back. She will recommend any additional services and is one of the best orthodontist I have ever met. They are very friendly and helpful at this office and will help you if you dont have dental insurance.

Had an extraction today with Dr. Richard who is absolutely amazing in by my side was Dr Prakash who is the Director and also absolutely amazing. They made my visit quick and comfortable and painless believe it or not thank you Dr. Richard thank you Dr Prakash I will never go anywhere else.

In these uncertain times, its comforting to go to a provider where you feel safe, yet at the same time the environment is not terrifyingly alarmist. The staff is warm and extremely professional and skilled. Weve been coming here for years for general dentistry and specialty care. Weve always been happy.

Ill admit I was a bit hesitant to go to a Gentle Dental but it was a Saturday during Covid and no one else was open. Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. The hygienists and the girls at the front desk are lovely. Dr. Prakash and Dr. Richardson are kind and comforting. But most importantly, I had a wisdom tooth and a molar pulled yesterday and I am in no pain at all, whatsoever. I just had a couple bites of steak.Dr. Richardson is a sorcerer.

They listened started working on my needs right away, and I was so happy I sent my husband. The staff are great and the Doctor is wonderful. I am so happy that I went and will continue to go to Gentle Dental for all of my dental needs. The experience was what is should be, not a ton of visits and dental bills before getting to the actual problem at hand. I cannot thank you enough. We are very pleased with our entire experience. They make you feel comfortable the minute you walk in. take it from a person that is terrified of dentists, I avoided the dentist for years because of it. They really helped me get my mouth back to health, if it wasn’t for they’re hygienist I would of probably ended up loosing the majority of my teeth. I will always be greateful for her !

They took me as a first time patient on an emergency basis. Appointment was available an hour and a half after I called them and they were wonderful. Dr. Prakash is so kind and caring that my anxiety and fear of dental work completely disappeared. Absolutely recommend.

This was our first appt. with Gentle Dental. The staff was very friendly. Love that they have flexible hours and offer night and weekend appointments. Makes it much easier to get an appointment without having to rearrange our whole schedule.

The receptionist Kathy is always pleasant and friendly. What I likeabout Kathy she is willing to work with you to help you pay off your bills, I appreciate that very much. My dental hygienist Punam is great, she told me to get a floss that can reach to the back of my molars I thought that was very helpful, no hygienist has told me to do that before. She is very knowledgeable in her field.

I have been coming to this office now for about 8 years. Ive had fillings, root canals, bonding, a full treatment of braces, cleaning, exams and the work is always GREAT! All the staff are nice and take time to make you feel comfortable and answer your questions and concerns. They will fool you into dental procedures you do not need, and I watched my girlfriend get screwed over by them, insisting in a crown based on cosmetic reasons alone, not dental health. No X-ray or any prior Investigation, just went right into it. She didnt know what it entailed and would not have agreed had she known theyd grind her tooth down. You cannot assume the customer knows dental procedure. She also was misled about the cost and has been stuck with a temp crown since she cant pay for a permanent one on top of school and other expenses. All and all a horrible and frankly for her a scarring experience. She didnt need it. She has a small chip in her front tooth too and tried to convince her to get a crown for that as well. Its shameful. Im Personal friends with other dental professionals and theyve all come to the same conclusion, that this place profits from taking advantage of the customers lack of knowledge and fear of the unknown. Either that or they have HORRIBLE service that is inept in making sure customers are making informed decisions about their health. Trust a private practice folks, not this place. Not a single person I know nor myself will ever come here or to any other gentle dental after what happened.

I had a bad experience with my original dentist that I had been going to for years. Finally, I got out and found Gentle Dental. I thought they were wonderful. The receptionist couldnt be more friendly, which I thought was great because shes the first one you see. The receptionist at my old dentist was an old stick in the mud. Anyway, when I got called in the assistant and dentist couldn t be more friendly and helpful. It turned out I needed upper and lower plates, which I had no idea what was involved. They explained everything in detail and had me see the receptionist first to figure out what my insurance covered to help me decide. Well, I went with it, and I couldnt be more happy about it. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

Have been going there now for 9 years. The staff is great and they have convenient hours for those who work during the day. A couple of years ago I had a fall resulting in the need for emergency attention which I received same day. Highly recommend for any dental care needed.

The front receptionists and dentists I have interacted with are always very nice and professional! The concern I have is when I go for cleanings, the hygienist is not very reassuring about my dental care. She doesnt take time to explain concerns/answer questions when they are present which ups my anxiety about my visits. Oftentimes, I feel that there is not enough attention payed to the emotional comfort of the patient but they are always careful to be physically gentle with cleanings and such. The cost of fillings and other procedures is very high. I was charged upwards of $230 for a filling where other dentists in my area charged around $180. However, I do appreciate that the office accepts CareCredit as I do not have dental insurance. Making and rescheduling appointments is easy and the office is flexible with times which I appreciate as a full time student. Overall, I feel no strong feelings in any direction for the service and it works well enough as my primary dentistry provider.

Came to hear great things about gentle dental in methuen and I’m glad to report I heard correctly my family and i came in for an exam and cleaning and left with an appoiment for myself and husband to get braces and my son to get fillings they do it all here for all ages.

This place is terrible. Rude staff, they aren’t personable at all and make you feel terrible about your self confidence when you need help with dental. I went in for a braces and they started my process by putting my down payment. I had gotten my teeth cleaned about 6 months ago they demanded I get a second cleaning before the braces. I complied but a week before my braces they refused and told me I needed to spend another 900 dollars to get a deep clean on my back molars. I went to a second dentist and orthodontist office for a second opinion and they told me point blank I did not need the third deep cleaning and they would happily put my braces on as long as I floss and brush more often. This place will milk you for all your worth if you don’t have dental insurance and are paying cash out of pocket. Go elsewhere they will try to force you to spend money you don’t need to and lie to your face about what treatments you actually need.

Was told at front desk the remaining balance on procedure I had done was 250. I payed in full then got another bill. Billing couldnt explain my bill, had no idea what the bill was for and had completely different numbers than bill said. They pulled a tooth I found out later they didnt have too, no tooth decay or anything but was in the way to work on tooth next to it. Finally was upset when dentist was working on top tooth and said wow bottom tooth is sharp proceeded to grind(round) bottom tooth without telling me

My name is Alex and today I had my first visit at Gental dental. The staff was great I was very happy with the work and with how professional they all were.

Had an accident that resulted in needing to see an Oral Surgeon for an extraction. He was great and did a fantastic job, The best part was that the office staff scheduled it before I left the office, and I didnt have to go somewhere else to have it done, or deal with office scheduling, insurance, etc.

I too have had issues with dentist in the past, my wife started at Gentle Dental in Methuen and of course I went as well because her experience. I had a crown started yesterday and have to say the doctor was wonderful she put me at ease and was very gentle in the procedure. She has a great sense of humor and I left knowing that when I go back in 2 weeks for the permanent crown that I will not feel anxious or nervous at all. I highly recommend this office. I felt like I had been going there for years instead of it being my first visit. I would also like to add that the staff are great too they listen and make your visit even more pleasant. I also think that the fact that they have hours on a Saturday is a plus we have always had to take time out of work because every other dental office is open 4 days a week never Fridays and most definitely not on the weekends.

Had a filling that was causing a lot of pain. The dentists here had a solution and no more pain.

I use the orthodontist at this place. I have had the worst experiance ever here. The orthodontist is only here once every 2 weeks! I had an incident where my bracket was pretty much pulling my tooth out and they told me I had to wait 2 weeks for the orthodontist. I do not recommend going here for orthodontist work. It has been the worst 2 years of orthodontic work. The orthodontist was very friendly but they barely could ever help me. I can no longer take this place any longer and all they want is your money.

I would give Zero 0 stars if i could.My experience and my wife doing an implant is:ME & Wife:whats is our balance now?Front office:you paid us $1000 cash for the implant you owe us another $1000 for today s visit.We checked again and your insurance does NOT cover for the post core and crownME & Wife: You told us 3 times before we started this procedure that our insurance covers 50% for post core and crown.what are you talking about?FRONT DESK:Yelling (2 girls in front desk) we told you,you have to call your insurance they will tell you the same thing.ME & Wife:ok and we went home.After we went home online and called the insurance company they CONFIRMED 5 times that we are covered 50% for post core and crown.Oral surgeon Donald Richard after telling my wife that she talks too much,installed the implant for her,just to find out that she had blood in her mouth the whole dayI REPEAT STAY AWAY!
