Staff seemed friendly enough, but no where near enough of them. Waited in line for a good 30 minutes, let them know that all I needed was a propane refill (not the gas grill size). Waited another half hour after being told multiple times they’d “be right there”. 4-5 customers helped instead of me after asking several times. Clearly no on at this facility has any idea how to manage a business and prioritize tasks. Won’t be back.

In 2 different occasions they ticketed me for tolls I didn’t use and charged me 2,900 for 3k miles I didn’t use aswell..No apology just a simple oopps on their end even if it took 5 business days for a refund!! Now i have to double check when im returning because obviously the can’t do that right.

I had a HORRIBLE experience here, from the start the woman I talked to on the phone, named Angelo, was so rude, she interrupted me everytime I tried to speak and I felt disrespected. Then I get to the u-hual pick up spot and the guy working at the Desk named JESSE was so rude and sorry that it shocked my entire experience. He didnt want to answer any questions and he put the wrong drop off location for the U haul. This made me waist an entire hour of time and gas. This was my first experience with u-hual and most likely my last. I understand having a bad day, but bringing that to work Is UNPROFESSIONAL. PLEASE SEND SOMEONE TO FIX THIS, OR SHUT ThIS PLACE DOWN. THANK YOU. PS. I have served this Country in the US Navy for 5 years and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The customer service at this location is awful.I dont know if the manager teach his employees to be like that. They will sit there and ignore you for about 5 mins or so. Just all around bad customer service.

Please, take pictures of your odometer, fuel level and confirm all informations relating to the truck youre taking from all documents given to you before leaving the yard, this is U-haul mesquite, they will change all information you had by the time youre returning the truck. They changed a trip of 53miles to 251miles taking away $360 from my credit card. Please be careful doing business with this people

Returned truck early within the two hour rental time, yet theyre claiming the truck was never returned. Charged late fees as a result. Im currently on hold with no answer to (hopefully) reverse the charges, but I highly recommend doing business elsewhere. They will steal your money. Document everything.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!They have a history of overcharging for fuel and mileage. Please take the time to take pictures before and after you drive their vehicles. Read and make sure the fuel and mileage is the same in the odometer and the contract they give you!!! As you can see in the pictures below, they charged me about 20 miles more and they had the nerve to charge an additional $17 for fuel that I made sure to to put back in the tank before returning it. I wish I had read the reviews before doing business here because there’s a lot more people that had the same or similar issue with these people.And for those who are wondering, the pictures I took have the time when they were taken so I have proof I took them before I drove off and after I returned it . I hope this helps at least some people from getting ripped off.

Moved from South Carolina to Dallas using Uhaul. Excellent service from the Florence location. My fiance drove behind me in our car, we were able to stop in Columbia SC and pick up a car tow for the 2 day drive. When we finally arrived at the mesquite location our house wasnt ready so we used the storage and moved our belongings in. During the move an employee by the name of Virgil stopped by and offered to help me and my fiance. He was so nice and pleasant. His help shaved off an hour of work. To Virgil and the entire staff at mesquite thank you for a smooth transition to our new home. We will use you in the future.

Bad customer service and your appointment time means nothing to them.I had a 8 AM appointment to have the hitch receiver installed in my vehicle. I was at the location by 7:50AM. They told me the installer was not there yet and they weren’t even sure if or when he would show up. The installer did not show up until 11:15 AM and did not proceed to work on my vehicle till about 11:40 AM.My initial plan was to drop the vehicle off and return to pick it up when the work was done, but since I had to wait so long my ride back home had to leave and go to work, so I was stuck sitting and waiting on the work to be done. Since there’s no waiting area/lobby I literally had to sit at the garage entrance in the sun entire time the work was being done! The installation did not finish until after 5 PM. I was at this U-Haul location for over 9 hours!While I was waiting on the installer to arrive I asked for the manager’s number. All I wanted was for someone to call the installer and get an ETA, however her response was that she was on vacation and could not help me.Nobody seemed apologetic or concerned about my inconvenience.In all fairness, the installer was friendly, but then again i’m easy to get along with and I DID have to sit there with him for over 5 hours while he worked on my vehicle.

I rented a storage unit, and only had 2 used sofas inside. I ran into financial difficulty, and decided that the couches were not worth the money to continue paying almost a hundred and thirty dollars a month for storage. Could get one used for fifty. I went down, and signed the paperwork relinquishing it. That was early November. Nearly the end of December, and now January, they start harassing me for the payment. I went over and over with them, that I had signed the paperwork, etc. They contact me almost every day, by phone and email, However, they also contacted a friend, who was there as a contact in case of emergency You know, if they cant get a hold of you, not so they can harass you through your friends. If I had not did what they asked on signing the paper, I could maybe understand this, but I did not, I relinquished this locker to them,. To make matters worse, Friday, I was going to go re sign the paperwork, like I had agreed, and I had a heart attack. I am sitting here in my room, and they are harassing me and everyone else, because they cant keep their book keeping and paperwork straight. I intend to file with the BBB and other places, and I may look for an attorney. Dont use them the location is hard enough to get too, it sounds easy to find, but, it really isnt. Just keep driving.

Rented a 5’x9’ trailer for the day. Experience picking up was excellent. The manager helped us check out and the trailer was hooked up for us. However, l am writing this review as l wait to return the trailer. We have sat at the designated equipment return for half an hour. Several workers have walked right by us without acknowledging us, helping customers that arrived after us. When they just finally came to unhitch the trailer, they did so without speaking to us or apologizing for the wait though they clearly knew we had been there for a while. Very unprofessional and unorganized on the return end.

PLEASE BEWARE...This place will rip you off, if you do not take pictures of the mileage. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT YOU TAKE PICTURES. They added 4 miles onto my bill. Thankfully I read the reviews and a past customer warned of this criminal act or scam this company is doing..You can get a refund back for the overcharge, by calling their 1800 number.

I will never come back to this location. Somehow I was blamed for being overcharged $154.00. I argued with the general manager, Anna, for 20 minutes asking her multiple times to check her equipment because I was charged for 185 miles when I only drove around 15 miles. She insisted that there was nothing she could do because she HAD to go off of what mileage shows on the truck. I told her multiple times that I only made two trips from my apartment that is only 1.5 miles from the uhaul building, my storage which is on the way, and back to the uhaul building. I have used this uhaul location 3 times and have never paid over $70 so immediately I knew something was not right. She then told me that if they went by everything the customer says, nothing would be correct. So not only did she indirectly call me a liar, she showed no effort to even wanting to look into my issue any further. At this point, I am extremely frustrated and go outside to grab my husband. He comes inside and explains the same details. The manager and the employee that verified the mileage of the truck began discussing something that I couldn’t hear. I still don’t understand what the issue was, but eventually she refunded my money. She did not even apologize for the mistake

No one answered phone calls even from their own customer service line, so I drove there just to be treated bad by the white lady at sales, very rude to the customers and she speaks to like she is the business owner, will never return to this location.

Yes, I agree the staff was always great. I didnt have any problems with my storage unit in the time that I had it...for about 6-7 years up until last or this month, whenever its contents are due to be auctioned off. I reached the point on numerous occasions where I couldnt pay and they really try to give you ample time and opportunity to pay before theyre forced to auction your unit...adding additional late fees to your bill, but thats to be expected with anything. In the end thats what happened, I just could not maintain the payment, but had my rental rates not been raised annually from $69.95 per month in 2009 to $114.95 by 2015, not including insurance, perhaps it would not have been so difficult to maintain. Overall, however, Id have no problem recommending the Mesquite U-Haul location to both rent trucks or any storage unit.

My grandmother called to rent a truck she had everything needed to rent a truck and they could not give me a valid reason as to why they would not rent to her. All she was trying to do is move some of her furniture out of storage. Never have I been so disgusted. Apparently they have done this before because they asked if she called last week. Which she did not

Called to find out if a pickup was available to rent. After waiting a few minutes in their queue, a lady named Tanya answered the phone. I asked if there were any pickups that were available on the lot. She refused to even tell me if one was available unless I gave them my phone number, email, and a credit card number. This screams fraud to me, and is outstanding that U-Haul would even allow such outrageous practices by a franchise owner or operator. After reading the reviews, it appears that many of the 5 star reviews are paid for as they always give a specific name from a support interaction and say that it was great customer service, but dont mention anything relevant to the business.

Both of my experiences with this location have been great. The last time I was returning a trailer, I was late because I got in a fender bender. They were nothing but nice about it, and really helped me out. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who asks.

DO NOT RENT HERE!!! look @ previous previews. They are point on. Nobody cares about great customer service anymore but want your money. I understand the requirements needed to rent a truck but when things are added on to the requirements and I ask if you can show me on paper or wherever this requirement is and you cant thats a problem. Like someone previous stated in a review moving is already stressful and the last thing you want to do is show up on location the manager is very dry and rude not even remotely interested in helping you. Sadly I was told when the manager walked out of the office that he wasnt a morning person. T hats no excuse. How is he a manager? I called the general manager Raymond so that he could explain to me some issues I couldnt get answered. WASTE OF TIME. He was even more dry and rude. He could care less about helping me or about the bad encounter with his manager. THIS LOCATION IS HORRIBLE. TRUST ME WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH DOORS YOU WILL FEEL THE TENSION.

1 FIRST & LAST TIME EVER COME HERE!!!!!!!! Please try a different location. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The GM invaded my privacy and when I ask him to see if he deleted the photo he said it was uploaded to the uhaul web site. False. He lied! I See now why my BRO uses Life Storage. I wanted to give them A NEGATIVE 15 stars but it wont let you do that. I aint did nothing to the general manager but he taking pictures of my ID for no reason and being a total jerk. he aint take no picture ID of no one else. Prejudice and discrimination. HELL NO

This was my worst truck rental experience ever! After. 17 years of dealing with nicer people, the new management SUCKS! They gave me a 17 truck on a quarter tank of gas. We had to put gas in it to go anywhere, but the estimated price was about $79.. Then we drove exactly 16 miles, but were charged for 40 additional miles at $.99/mile for no reason at all, and they were all willing to argue and lie, knowing they were worrying me about the 1/4 tank of gas they had in there (I brought it back with a lot more than they started me out with), but they did not give me a chance to even check that mileage! They knew what they were going to do. The guy had a price of $109 pulled up on the screen before even confirming what the odometer read. Slick! Renters BEWARE! THEY ARE SOME REAL CROOKS OVER THERE!!!

Worst service ever!!! Made an appointment to have a hitch installed, the person on the phone said I could come in that day and set my appointment for 4pm. I arrived 30 mins early and they informed me everyone left that could do the installation at noon. They moved my appointment to the next day and when I arrived they told me that there wasnt an appointment on the books and the guy was unwilling to do it... Do not use these people they are unprofessional and uninformed. At this point I would be concerned about leaving my vehicle with them and getting any kind of quality work done.

Best customer service! Ive dealt with many Uhaul locations in the past 16 years and by far these guys are the best. Great attitude, very polite and professional. Manager Carlos, I think his name, was great, the super awesome lady, Felicia who helped me with the truck (her picture in on this review with glasses) and the big gentelment (sorry dont recall his name) who hooked up my trailer, thank you everyone!

The manager is truly awful as others have said. She is rude and makes up random charges that keep appearing on your account after the rental is returned on time with more gas than it had to begin with. She charged me an extra $250 for a cleanup fee as she says removed a piece of furniture that I was donating. So, she never closed out the ticket. In my opinion this store (which I was surprised to learn is a corporate store) needs to fire her, and make her very capable employee in the office, the new manager. I will never use Uhaul again, and I have over 35 rentals from them in the past. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND GO USE BUDGEET or PENSKE.

We got an uhaul with 1/8 tank of gas returned with almost half a tank and they charged me for gas and I did talk to the manager and she didnt care what I was saying, very unprofessional, they do everything paperless so you cant see the paperwork, they even asked me for a picture of the gauge, so take picture of every little detail if you have to use them

Your experience at this location will depend on whom youll deal with. If you happen to deal with Dakota, youll get good customer service and everything will be handled quickly and professionally. If you happen to deal with RJ, general manager, youll have the worst experience in your life. RJ is unprofessional, unhelpful, and plain rude. Instead of helping you, he clearly enjoys making your move much more stressful than it should be. He ruins your mood the first minute he deals with you. He invents the obstacles for you to make it harder on you. He makes the process as slow as possible. When you give him your driver license and a credit card, he requires an alternate number to verify that you are you. Its a mystery how someone on the phone could verify my identity better than my valid driver license and matching credit card. I would give zero stars for RJ service, but its not an option.

First, let me preface this with the fact that this store is under new management. The previous manager was very professional and always willing to listen and help. This Manager named Raymond is completely opposite.As a US Marine, I, once a year get deployed for 40 days for training. I get deployed to sites outside the country. I called 1-800-Go-Uhaul before my deployment this year and spoke to a call center rep. I advised them of my deployment and that I would not be able to come in and make payment. This was on 6/20/16. I left the next day and was gone through June and July. During this time, I was sent several e-mails about my payment. All of which I responded to. Due to me being outside the US, I had no way of calling in during this time, which was explained to the call center rep on 6/20/16.Over the time I was deployed, even though I tried reaching out to them, they still continued to charge me late fees, a lien fee, and set it for auction this week. I admit, as soon as I returned, I should have called and did not and I am not going to make excuses as to why. Nevertheless, I called Monday 3 times and each time I was told the manager would call me back. I received no call. I called twice yesterday and again was told the manager would call me back. Again, no return call. So, I woke up early and arrived at the location when they opened.On the way to the location I called and spoke with the manager. He advised he WOULD NOT accept full payment and would only agree to work with me if I removed my belongings within 2-days. I tried explaining to him that with a full time job, that is difficult during the week and asked if I could have until Sunday. He said No. I went into the location and was trying to explain to him that I was deployed and before I could, he began to yell at me and said he didnt fing care and that I needed to shut up and sign the documents. Needless to say, after 45 minutes of him being very unprofessional and rude, I left.What this gentleman was not aware of was that I recorded the conversation to protect my interest. I contacted the district manage-which Raymond refused to provide-by calling another location. I was advised that the district manager was on vacation and spoke with his person assistant, who seemed nice and concerned and was very professional. She ensured me my belongings would not be auctioned and that Raymond would be spoken with and that the district manager might want to call me and hear the recording. I explained that was not a problem and advised that I appreciated her help.Long story short, you cant judge a book by its cover. You cannot punish a company on one person’s unprofessionalism and/or acts. I am just writing this as a warning. This manager is not friendly or professional. I will never do business with this location again, at least not while he is there!

If I could give no stars I would!! This place is the worst UHaul I have ever come in contact with. The manager constantly says nothing is his problem, but when you contact the corporation, they explain how only the manager can handle issues. I paid $80 a month for a climate controlled unit, and it was at 92 degrees when I moved out. The high temperature was due to the location doing the floors, which made all of my things covered in a layer of dirt. Id never return, and it bacame difficult to watch the numerous people in line complain with the manager doing nothing to resolve anything. I can only hope he is fired for the reputation of UHaul.
