He was not scheduled to be here for a couple of weeks but was able to fit me in due to another customer’s cancellation. This is why I use Tom for all my pool repairs!

I was very pleased with the repair work Mike Helm completed on my pool and hot tub equipment. He fixed the connection on the booster pump, replaced the strainer pot for the pool, replaced the strainer pot and filter for the hot tub. Mike completed the work in around 2 hours and made things easier to fix next time. He was also helpful in giving me some tips on pool care and repair.

The company was all around great. I am a general contractor so I come in contact with several contractors. I must say this was one of the most pleasant interaction we have had with a contractor. We will be calling them back out as we continue to make updates. We highly recommend their services. Also there price was better than all others and they still had the quality as well

This company was recommended by 1stop Pool to install a new filter and salt cell. Customer service was very helpful, unfortunately their technician Mike was not. He installed the flow switch wrong, manual clearly states at least 12” of straight pipe is required before this switch, and when questioned he said it wasn’t important. Ironically the manual starts with saying exactly that! Then, when I asked him to take away the old filter he said that would be an additional charge of $50, but then added $55 to the invoice!!! I called the office and had him re do the piping and clear off the extra charge to haul off the old filter as initially agreed. I won’t use this business any more, I needed to push back just for them to do the job right, and to get the correct bill.

Another 5-star for Pool Tech! This team is wonderful, and we couldnt ask for anything more. Theyve been servicing our pool for a few years (maintenance and repairs), and are always helpful and transparent. Most recently Tom resolved a difficult leak, which had caused us thousands of dollars in water bills and leak detection tests from 4 other companies (before we realized Pool Tech offers this service). Deb is also always excellent to help schedule our services and answering our numerous questions. FYI they also provide convenient electronic billing and payments.

Pool Tech advised me and arranged a joint telephone call to help me purchase the exact parts and accessories needed from my local pool supply store (One-Stop, Plano). Their service man picked up the parts and arrived on time. He finished the work in about an hour and the pump runs great. He noted that he didnt have to replace two of the seals so I was able to get a refund on them from One-Stop.Very professional and helpful. Highly recommended.

Pool Tech is hands down one of the best pool/spa repair companies in the Metroplex. They carefully analyze each repair and plan the repair in the most efficient manner. Each repair is tested several times. The technicians are very personable as well as knowledgeable.

Honestly I was so stressed about having a possible pool leak and didn’t know who to call. Happened to be driving behind them one day and so glad I took a picture! Had a leaky filter and was worried the whole unit needed to be replaced. They looked at it and determined that is was just the O ring and replaced it during the first visit. Would definitely use the again and highly recommend.

I needed to replace my old pool filter and needed some re-work done on my pool cleaner booster pump. Ive used Pool Tech in the past and they were great, this time was no different. Scheduling was a breeze, and they even brought all my new equipment with them from One Stop in Plano (super convenient).On the day of install, I received a text when the tech was on his way. He arrived a few minutes later. We talked about the job, confirming the details and he set off to removing the old equipment. The tech was very self sufficient, knew his trade and finished with my new setup looking and performing great! After he cleaned everything up, he even moved my old filter out to the curb for bulk pickup.Pool Tech continues to provide excellent and professional service, and I wont hesitate to use them again for future needs.

Tech came in on time. He immediately pointed out how I had scheduled for putting in a new motor only and now he has to put in both pump and motor and that he doesnt have time for. The 1st 20 mins, he literally lectured me on how its going to consume so much more time that he may have to come st a later date. He also made a fuss about replumbing a few lines to accommodate the height and length of my new variable pump/motor.Finally he agreed on putting it in. He wanted me to get a part. So off I go to pinch a penny as its the closest pool store to my place. I got the parts however I was not entirely sure if it was the right part. So I called the tech. No answer. So I text him with a pic. No response. So I bought the part in question and come home only to find out that its the wrong part. So off I go to Leslie pools, 2nd closet pool store to my home. They didnt had the part in stock.Finally I decided to drive 30 mins to a more specialized pool store and get the part. Its a common part that the tech should have it in his stock like they stock pvs pipes in there truck. Just my opinion or guide me that pinch a penny and Leslie pools wont/might not have this item in stock.Anyways, once everything is done and tech was about to leave, I asked him to help me understand the programming of the new variable pump he put in. First thing that comes out of his mouth was to refer to the manual. 😱.Maybe this tech was having a off day or maybe he was too high to care. I really dont know why he couldnt open his eyes when he 1st came in.Long story short, I waited for a week before posting my review. I am sure its a great outfit to get help from. But watch out for this rude tech who will give you bunch of pushback if he is having a bad day. Horrible attitude and bad customer service.He also never explained me the difference in pricing. Here I was expecting a $200 bill. However my invoice was over $500.Worst part of all, variable pump and motor was expensive to start with. Putting it in was over 50% of the cost. I still dont know anything about programming andt the manual is not very clear. There are no YouTube videos on this model either.

Tom and Carlos did a great job installing new equipment and modifyingexisting issues that were not part of the original quote to have the most effective setup. Appreciate them working to give me the set up I needed versus a sprint to get done and get to next job like past other pool service companies. Tom took the time to answer all my questions and make sure I was happy with equipment install.

Referred to PoolTech by my father whom has had very good experience and feels they are trustworthy. We called and spoke with Deborah who is extremely knowledgeable and helped us figure out what we needed to schedule. She also called to confirm the appointment and we received a text when they were on the way. Tom and the tech were very thorough, fixed what needed to be fixed, explained what did not need to be replaced (which another company insisted needed to be replaced for a hefty fee at that!) and gave us some tips. It was easy to arrange the appointment for our filter clean. Our technician was professional and kept us updated when he found an issue with our filter cartridges- manufacture issue. He did a great job cleaning the filter and replacing the ones that were damaged. He cleaned up the area when he was finished. I will use this company again.

I have used Pool Tech for several years now. They are honest, professional, and genuinely care about their customers. Deb will let you take pictures of your pump and send it to her for quicker assistance as they can sometimes eliminate 2 trips. They are conscious about saving you money, and I appreciate that.
