I am pretty new to Arizona and finding a mechanic with the availability to take care of my ((grinding)) breaks was tough for me.. I love my car and Ive been burned by mechanics before. After a little research, I made an appt with Brakes Plus on Signal Butte. I was very impressed with availability and the friendly folks that assisted me. They also kept their word on turnaround time, which blew me away. And finally, Jesse helped me with a coupon for my bill. Definitely would recommend the location I was serviced at today. 😊

My husband and I have been taking our vehicles here for the last 5 years. Theres a certain level of care that has been unmatched to other places weve taken them to. Theres been times where theyve gone over and above to help us out... And its been greatly appreciated. Theyre fair honest and have great hours. The courtesy pick up and drop off rides have been really helpful for us as well.

I was having issues with Big O Tires (too long to include in my review) and how they were giving me the run around, didn’t even look at my car before quoting me close to 400$ to replace rotors, so I walked out and called this Brakes Plus location, explained everything going on and they took me in the next day. They looked at my car and determined the rotors didn’t need to be replaced, but could be smoothed out. Ended up paying a third of what big o’s quoted and they got it done in the time frame they quoted me at. 100% amazing staff! (Especially Jesse + I believe his name was Mike) Understood my frustrations and worked with me to get a solution. Highly recommend this place + will continue going here for future repairs.

Had an issue with my 2020 BMW X1. Needed front brakes at 20k miles due to an issue that I think BMW should have resolved. Jesse the GM went out of his way to help me get this addressed and my brakes are like new again. I have had other vehicles services here and found them to always be professional, timely, fair and they communicate well. I will be back for future services!

They were awesome. I had to wait a little bit for a CS rep to come to the counter, but I can say it was worth the wait. The Service Men were helpful, and I truly appreciate that! Jonathan was also great with the CS, and I appreciate how he handled my situation. I chose 4*s only because it was my 1st time, so Im not familiar with their services. Talked to Jesse about the grinding noise that was on the front right side of the car, he investigated it and showed me what was wrong told me that the rotor was worn out and needed new pads. Went in for a synthetic oil change and general inspection on my GTI, everyone was super friendly and professional, they told me it would take around an hour to finish, was out in a half hour. Will definitely do business with them again!

These guys are great! Friendly, knowledgeable,and competitively priced. They take care of all 3 of my vehicles when I don’t have the tools or the capabilities to do the work. They will go the extra mile to diagnose a symptom and/or get the job done right. I had a “check engine” issue and brought it to them to diagnose. They worked on it for a while and determined they could not definitively determine the problem. When I picked it it they did not even charge me for the time spent as the referred me to another shop to diagnose the issue. The other shop was able to find/pin point issue at the cost of $225 and I finished the work at home.I have on occasion dropped my car off mid afternoon for an appointment scheduled the next day and they have called me the same day of drop off letting me know my vehicle was ready.These guys will do you right.I have recommended them to others and I recommend them to you.

Mike and the crew are awesome. They are always honest about their findings and will never try to sell you on something that you dont need. All the years I have been going to them, they have always treated me right. Its so hard to find honest mechanics that you can trust, but this location you can put them on the honest list. Knowledgeable staff and very friendly. Came in for a synthetic oil change and was informed that I was past due for 100K mile maintenance. Came back a few days later to have the transmission fluid flushed. Affordable service at $150 and was done in just about am hour.

This was my first oil change with a newer vehicle and Ill be honest I called a few other places before I called this location and from the willingness to help me over the phone with questions and pricing I ended up here. The guys were super nice awesome customer service and quick! I believe the guys who helped me were Jeff and Henry. Ill definitely be back here. As a young female most places either treat you like an idiot or do their best to rip you off, and these guys didnt do that at all. You have some awesome employees at this location!

Please people awareness with invoices what you getting... I just had simple oil change with them...and invoice bill the way they brake it up it not matching any amount... it was simple $69.99 oil change. And invoice it totally different amounts.

When the appointment was made, Michael was nice and sure he could fit me in today at 2. I arrived just before 2 and by about 2:10 I was checked in. Masks were required, so felt a little more comfortable based on current Covid-19 numbers rising everywhere. A few minutes later he stated that they will need to drive the car before and after the alignment. I requested that no one drive my car, there is no drivability issue, steering wheel was straight, it drives straight and I had just gotten new tires in a different size and just wanted to make sure they last. I asked him to just check the specs first and if it was within factory specs I would pay him for labor, if not put to factory specs and I would drive and let them know if I felt any issue as long as printout reflected factory specs. Based on stated no warranty for said alignment unless it was their error or mistake on their part I was confused. He asked again if someone could drive if I was in car with, I said no. He said then they wouldnt do it and gave me my keys back. With everything going on I didnt want someone I didnt know in my car touching anything. I have had other maintenance items done to my car like tires and coolant system flush and this wasnt a problem for other businesses. Why would this be an issue during coronavirus times or at least the business clearly state the precautions they would be taking to protect me and my family if they need to drive my car. Needles to say wont go back and will let everyone I know to avoid this business at all costKarl

I went in to brakes plus because I thought my brakes needed to be looked at. They were fine. But they were fine. They did find 2 leaks. Henry never once pressured me to buy anything that I didn’t need even though I didn’t have any knowledge about the car. Henry explained everything very thoroughly to help me get a better understanding. I would definitely go back!

Simple oil change but this place is great. The counter guys are always cool dudes. Im never disappointed with this place.

They suggested I do a upper cylinder flush on my 1989 Ford Ranger. It was running great!Before i brought it in. But after the upper cylinder flush, it started to blow white smoke out of the exhaust. When i pointed it out to them, they said it was normal. Right! It blew white smoke for a solid month until the enginedied. And my regular mechanic told me i should not have taken it there.

As long as they can do a simple job, and can be done in a very short time they are ok. Other then that take your vehicle to a real garage.

These guys are my go-to for whatever I have going on with my car that they can fix. They do great work fairly quickly and theyre not overpriced like so many shops. And if youre in a pinch and need work done, they may be able to help you get a line of credit to cover the work you need done. They did it for me and got me a discount for the work when I paid with my credit card they helped me get. Id recommend this shop over anywhere. Period.

Henry, Mike, and the staff at Brakes Plus are amazing! As a female I usually feel like I’m going in to a mechanic and opening my wallet hoping that the service they recommend is accurate and they are actually providing said service. With Henry and Mike I never have to worry about that! They are excellent explaining things to me and I feel their prices are extremely good. The guys at Brakes Plus were amazing!! They helped me get an oil change, and they told me about some other things I would need on my car relatively soon. They were nice, professional, and everything I could ask for when getting my car serviced. They even let me drop the car off so I could go back to work and pick it up when they were finished.

I came here for the first time today needing brake work.. They were honest about what needed done and not pushy. Took a little while but they were very nice and accommodating, I appreciate them staying pass closing time to make sure I could get my car back on the road. Prices were fairly decent compared to what Ive been quoted other places and coupons are a bonus. Great customer service.

I received a coupon for an oil change and decided to give brakes plus a try. The staff was very nice the minute I walked in the place. I was told that I needed new brake pads in the front. Since my car had over 100,000 miles on it and never had the brakes done I figured that would be the case. At first I told them I didn’t budget for the extra charge and they did not pressure me at all. After checking around and getting prices, Brakes Plus was the best price. I called back and told them to do the work but needed my car done by a certain time because I had to go to work. They had it done with plenty of extra time. I would recommend this place and I will definitely be back for my next oil change.

This is my second time coming here. Both experience were very good. The technicians were very helpful and reasonable when it comes to price and recommendations. We heard about this place from 2 other folks in our neighborhood. We have been taking our vehicles here for a couple of years. They are honest and reliable. We have never felt like they were trying to get more $$ out of us. I would suggest this place if you need an oil change or anything else completed on your vehicle.

I have been bringing my gmc trucks here since 2014. I have always had a good experience. I recommend them to everyone i can. I drive from queen valley so it is nice to have trustworthy people working on our trucks to keep us safe in the valley and in the mountains.

I had a brake inspection, new brake pads on the front along with front disc brake rotors repaired at store 1106 S Signal Butte Rd Mesa AZ 85208 on 05/26/2020 on my Ford Explorer SUV. My brakes completely failed and went out as I drove it yesterday 05/28/2020 at a stop light and luckily no one was hurt. There was sudden loud noises from front end, I was unable to stop properly and could not control the car. I was stuck in the middle of the road and it really was a traumatic experience. It turns out the front right caliper bracket was completely MISSING and the other was loose and this also damaged the rim/tire from the caliper hitting the rim while braking. I understand that mistakes happen BUT this is completely unacceptable and due to their negligence, this has caused me a great deal of stress, time, and money repairing the mistake they made. This put my family and others at risk of injury or even death and should be taken very seriously. I pray this does not happen to anyone else and hope that my review helps bring awareness and accountability. I have photos, receipts, and documentation. I hope to hear back from the store manager and the corporate office with an acceptable response to my calls, emails and review.

My battery was needing to be replaced and I was having issues with it, I have a business trip where I am needing to leave to drive out of state for 2 weeks and so I was worried about a battery issue. I called Breaks Plus on signal butte and I didn’t think I was going to be able to get in as it was already 3 pm on a Saturday. Rudy said hey we don’t want you having a battery problem come on in and we will get you taken care of. Well they delivered I was in and out in under 30 minutes with a new battery and the team there was upbeat friendly and joking and loving helping people. They did a great job thanks!

We took our 2005 Hyundai Sonata. It was running a bit rough. We were told it was time for its tune up according to guidelines for this year of car. That it was gonna cost about $750.00. We had to save for a bit but finally got her done. She runs so smooth now, its like shes brand new. I really appreciate the helpfullness these guys have and their workmanship is great. I doubt ill ever go anyplace else. Shes a dream now. I highly recommend u give Brakes Plus a try.

Inside the waiting area is a plaque with a photo of the owners & a statement to provide great service. Although I didnt see the owners around, the employees still held themselves to that promise. Service was fast & excellent. They didnt try the whole stereotypical mechanic pitch either. They understood my needs & budget. Not pushy salesmen or scheming dregs. Very happy & will recommend!

Went in for a rear brake job on my 2005 Dodge truck. Was quoted $250, they then called and said my rotors were too thin, and would need new rotors, and my front brakes were too worn and needed replacement. The upsell price was $752.12. Took it to Dodge said the front brakes were fine, turnrd the rotors on the rear for a total of $347. BEWARE the grand upsale.

I’ve always had a pleasant experience at this Brake’s Plus location. In addition, they’ve provided me with reasonably priced services for maintenance related issues with two difference vehicles. My car has also been ready at the time they informed me the work would be completed. And, calling for an appointment to service my car has always been easy.

They were able to inspect and perform the majority of the issues in one afternoon. Since I live 1 hours drive from this location I was very appreciative of their performance level. I am warning you people. These guys are super unprofessional. Went in for simple alignment while I waited I walked to a store close by and saw the mechanic driving my car way above the speed limit and I could hear it red lining! I can not tell you in words how bad it was. Then when my car came back it was worse then when I dropped it off then they tried to scam me as they pointed out several things wrong with it and half of them were recently replaced. Save your wallet and your piece of mind. This shop is unethical and a scam. I have reported it.

Amazing service. Was in dire need of brake pad change and everyone was booked everywhere and couldn’t make time. So 30 minutes before closing I called and Henry told me no problem stop by and we can help you. It was amazingly comforting because my brakes were bad-metal on metal. So he gave me the quote explained the costs and they took an hour. An hour after they closed they finished up my brake pads and I was able to get a lifetime warranty on the brakes! It was incredible and they were so very nice!! I’ll definitely be back for all my car maintenance. Thank you so much!!!

Often the price of no car payment can be substituted with the expensive maintenance and upkeep of an older car. I am very fortunate to have run across Brakes Plus two years ago when my issues began. I called over a dozen garages and auto shops yesterday morning. I was met with outrageous prices and sexist comments until I called Brakes Plus in Mesa. Robert answered my call and got me in as quickly as their already full schedule would allow. I expected an outrageous estimate for the work that needed to be done on my breaks but was pleasantly surprised when Robert brought me in to show me exactly what needed to be done and explained the pricing of each thing. He answered every question courteously and with respect. It is the only shop I will use in the future and i will highly recommend it to anyone that wants to work with an honest and reliable company. I had my breaks and 4 shocks replaced here. I just move from California to AZ so I was looking for a shop. These guys are great they took care of my Titan kept me posted on the work. Honest workshop will definitely come back here for all my repairs.

Quickest, no hassle break service! In and out within an hour, and I was not “pressured” to buy anything more than what I came in for. Being a young female, I was very skeptical about going into the den alone, ha! 4 stars simply because I wrote the review prior to driving and testing my new breaks, but I did splurge for the “ultra premium” which I was told is the factory pads, so crossing my fingers all is good!
