During a routine AC check, Kevin identified a % of cool air escaping through holes in the ducts; so much that he recommended Aerosealing. I did a bit of homework and felt the Aerosealing pricing was reasonable.Matthew was the Aerosealing technician that prepared and inspected the vents. He identified the need for duct 3 runs to be replaced due to mold and recommended a duct cleaning before the sealing took place. He provided a quote for this service for this work. I called the front office before the additional work took place for a breakdown of the costs for the duct replacements and cleaning. The front office experience was less desirable. I did not and have not received this information. I also had to call the office 2 times to obtain a confirmation for the 3rd party performing the duct cleaning; I had no idea who was showing up at my house.On the service date Matthew came first. Matthew was in charge and ensured the 3rd party did their expected work in a timely and professional manner. Before the sealing completed Matthew ensured that I understood the measurements of lost air with before and after readings. Matthew made a special trip to my home the following Monday to ensure he had the information needed to submit to SRP for an allowed rebate; much appreciated. Technician leadership from Matthew was perfect.
The service was neat, fast, and awesome. They even went the extra mile to give me a loan which they let me out of at a later date because I secured my own. I would highly recommend their services.
I would give a zero but then could not leave a review. 8 weeks. My house is in a shambles. No one returns calls. They still havent finished the actual a.c. install. Their installer is rude. My carpet had a hole burned in it by the installer and is still not fixed because they send a carpet cleaner who wants to hack a hole in another spot to fix their mistake. They broke my hall light while installing. They bought a new light but have yet to install it. Left a huge hole in my ceiling that finally got fixed week 6. My smoke detector is hanging loose. I have to use a flashlight to climb my stairs at night. At this point, I am going to have to look into legal action since no one returns calls. Tony the general manager is just unresponsive. Sub par work and zero customer service. Save yourself the headache. I would never reccomend this so called business.

We have been using this company for about 8-10 years and they have always been great, they are always on time and take the time to explain to you exactly what they are doing. They also send a helpful text of the tech that is going to be in your house. They send his picture so you know what to expect and some info on them! This is the best idea!! I always want to know who I let into my home!!!

Watch these folks, they offer an attractive $49 A/C maintenance check up but when my A/C unit needed freon added they charged 2 to 3 times more per pound than other HVAC companies charge. Other up front HVAC companies charge $50 per pound of R-410 freon, Western States HOme Services charged $165 per pound.....sounds like a rip off. The low check up fee is greatly offset by the extra service they provide. Nor dose the technician tell you what the cost is before adding it. I called the office to complain about this but no one called back. Poor service! Hidden costs! RJ
In the beginning they were great and we were impressed and had planned future business with them but unfortunately they dont return your calls after multiple times of promising to and told us lies about promises they offered..would not recommend them ...very disappointing...

We have always had good experience with Western States. Kenneth L. serviced our AC today and he took care of the problem in a reasonable time-frame and provided a good description of the work performed. We have a semi-annual service agreement with Western, so they come out to check the system in Spring and Fall. We find this maintenance beneficial and convenient. Overall we find Western States to be reliable and professional, and we recommend their services.

I spoke with Andrea about a handful of times and she was always professional, upbeat and very assuring! The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is the original tech didn’t show for the originally scheduled appointment.
This company has really gone above and beyond! They send a pic of they tech coming to the door, so you know who it is before hand. Every tech has been so nice and professional, letting me know step by step what they are doing and cleaning up any mess that might have been made. Always on time and courteous. Highly recommended!!

We lost our AC on Monday, 7/6 and called them and they responded right away. Their crew showed up and started working at 9:30am the next morning. With a minimum of hassle and always with a smile, they got our new system up and running and were gone by early afternoon. Everyone we dealt with at Western States was pleasant, patient and efficient. We would HIGHLY recommend them.
Western States is awesome. They honor their service plan and we’re amazingly responsive to an AC issue in July. I had a capacitor replaced a year ago by them and bought the service/maint plan with it. The emergency visit was covered under the plan and the new capacitor was too. I thought they were going to ding me for something but they didn’t and I respect that. I’d recommend them, their communication/text of who the tech is and when they’ll be arriving is best in class.
The whole experience was great. They called to let me know who was coming (name, phone number, picture, etc.). Josh called to give me a more accurate time of arrival. Once he got here, he looked it over and it was all explained and we had options given to us. 15 minutes later it was all completed and we were back in business. We were very pleased.
Trevor was a very stand up gentlemen that worked swiftly and adaptively to our AC issue, we have an old carrier system that he fixed with ease. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking to get a smart thermostat or any issue fixed. 10/10 would recommend again!

Women’s very rude and only thing she’s interested in sending a technician out so she could charge you a fee. After I explain to her that I just had a technician come out and I had the part number. I merely needed to ask her to look and see if she can get a part over the Labor Day weekend. Ver disappointing highly recommend that you don’t use this company. Argumentative and didn’t even care to hear what I have to say just for her to argue the point with me. Then she stated to me I was being rude. I guess Customer Service really doesn’t matter I would Carrier think about that.

My technician is the best of the bests. He is so knowledgeable and explains things to me so I can understand what he is doing. He is very professional and takes pride in his work even if it’s telling me about simple things like changing filters. When I ask questions he comes back with an answer every time. Uncertain exactly what additional knowledge or information was gained following this call for a fee collected. The information feedback from Steve (very professional) was what I previewed prior to his physical inspection of my outside A/C units with his gauges and notepad. Failed to initially provide me a company business card, necessitating my writing of 3 separate checks prior to him promising me a copy of his company estimates for fixing/replacement of my (known) weak A/C unit.
Their sales person came right away to inspect our job. Very personable and professional.
Western States Home did our initial AC installation in 2013, and everything was exemplary. When we needed service, Austin came to our house within 2 hours. He was friendly, informative and finished the job quickly. Such a great experience. Well probably ask for him specifically, should we ever need maintenance or repairs.
Western States Home Services management is flawed. Tony Armendariz, general manager, promised my family a partial refund for a maintenance plan on a phone call with me and then refused to honor the commitment. Mr. Armendariz did not respond to messages or a hand written letter. I would be cautious in negotiating terms with this company so long as it is managed by Tony Armendariz.

Amazing and very thorough inspection of the air-conditioning units for a house we intended to buy. These people were useless... when we purchased the $15,000 A/C system and still today when they didnt show up for service. Hard sell and then nothing but problems after sale. Receptionists are nasty and unprofessional. Nice way to treat seniors.. Hard sell to get your money and then nothing but trouble after they get it.
Called late Saturday afternoon because my air conditioner was blowing hot air. They had someone out in an hour. Jason was the tech and he was awesome. Unfortunately I need a new air-conditioner. I would recommend this company. Fast and professional!!!!

The technician Trevor was very helpful. He explained why my air conditioner makes a loud whooshing sound at times and explained the problems it may have in the future. This is minor but I would have liked a list of the things checked during the inspection.
Tech sent email of who to expect before arriving and could track where he was on his route. Was extremely efficient, did a great maintenance check up and explained what and why we needed in the AC unit.
Mat did a super job sealing all the leaks in our duct work using the aeroseal system. He also sealed the air leaks around all of our registers. He did an excellent job of explaining how the aeroseal system works.
Roy Lizarraga arrived within the specified time. The six month maintenance check was completed as contracted for. Roys work was done in a very professional manner - quickly and efficiently. My questions were answered.This employee should be recognized for being an outstanding representative for your company.
When they came, their conversation ($89dlls) was ALL about trying to get me to buy a new AC unit and NOT at all to fix my AC. I asked how much would he charge to just fix it and he said. It’ll be $600 but I don’t guarantee the job. How would you change $600 and then say “ it won’t fix it”?! How is that in anyway “fixing it”?! Like I said. He was ALL about selling me a new AC unit and NOT at all to actually fix it! OBVIOUSLY. I said no and I took my business elsewhere.

I made an appointment with Western States Home Services to have my water heater flushed. The Technician was Trevor McCloskey, he was very knowledgeable, called before he came and arrived ready to work. He is very personable, did a wonderful job and explained everything about what he was doing and I could not believe how much hard water debris came out of the hose down my driveway, I know Mesa water is hard but this was a lot more debris, for a water heater under three year old than I would have ever expected. Thanks to Mr. McCloskey the water heater is nice and clean and he cleaned up after himself and explained about other items I might want, but no pressure at all. I would definitely tell my neighbors about this Company and how knowledgeable their Tech was in his job. Thank you so much.
He found the problem with my AC. Gave me the solution and cost. I felt it was reasonable. He fixed it and was gone in an hour. I thought I might need a new AC.
The technician was early for my appointment and he seemed to know what he talking about.However, he seemed to be an old tech that no longer cared.He examined the air unit outside but did not want to waste his time looking at the air handler in the attic.When discussing total system replacement, he recommended one unit that was better than what is currently in place.When asked how this compared to the current unit, he stated that I should not call him if I was interested in anything less.
The only reason I didnt check value is because maintaining an AC unit can be costly but is still less expensive than a new one. I trust this company and have used them for over 2 years. Trevor is awesome.

My thermostats are smarter than I am. Since I have had them installed, one or both of them has lost connectivity a couple of times for some reason and I cant get them (it) to work. Yesterday I called Western to get some help. Trevor, the service person came that very afternoon, and got us reconnected. We have a service contract with Western, but I never expected a response that quickly.

Again very pleased with our A/C plus the spring and fall check-ups at no charged.We also purchased a contract to cover all out of warranty repairs on our A/C. Matt came out and checked everything and was very thorough in explaining to my wife and I what was happening. We ended up replacing the whole unit and it is working wonderfully!!! I came home from vacation to find my AC went out. I contactedWestern States at 5:30 PM and spoke with Tony. He scheduled one of his Techs to arrive first thing the next morning. I was so happy for the quick turn around. Steve was great and willing to work with us on what we wanted. The install went very smooth. The temporary room AC unit was a disappointment. It leaked all over my carpet. One mess when I was already neck deep. All other parts were good.
Gave WesternState a call because of a vibration that started recently in the air conditioner in the attic. They were able to send out a technician out the same day. He looked at the problem and recommended replacing the whole unit because of the age of the carrier in the attic. It was the original unit that was at least 20 years old and the outside compressor was 10 years old. Because of our schedule they had a new air conditioner installed the next day by noon

Our drain line was backed up for lack of maintenance by prior owner. I ended up using Western States home Services air conditioning and heating by accident! I was looking for another company on Google and it gave me their number. So my first Contact was Ariana, who answered the phone. She says let me see if I can get a guy out there today in between 10 and noon. Next thing you know Ive got Matt coming out to my house, sending me a text with a picture of him and a bio of him, before he arrives. Then he called me himself and told me he was a half an hour out. He shows up and I explained to him what I wanted and what was going on. We talked on the roof for 20 minutes. I liked his professionalism and his easygoing personality. He explained everything I didnt understand in detail. We scheduled the crane and him easily in the next 2 days. The day before, Ariana called me to remind me that Matt is coming with the crane in the next day. Sure enough, right on time, Matt shows up sending me a text before he gets here. Then the crane showed up and he asked me if I wanted to be on the roof to watch! So I took a video of them removing my old unit! Matt works quickly and efficiently. Hes definitely a pro! He explained to me how my other unit worked and what made the Heat come on and the air conditioning come on. They got here at 2 p.m.and they wrapped it all by 6:30 p.m. the crane went very smoothly and was here about a half an hour! I would definitely recommend Western States home Services air conditioning and heating! It was not stressful or complicated. It was actually fun! I know that was because of Matt and his exceptional customer service! From the minute I contacted them until the very end when I paid, it was a very pleasant experience!! Im so happy that I dialed the wrong number! :-)
