Fay answered the phone happy and willing to assist! And assist is what they did with having a thorough inspection done of our AC unit in the middle of a heat wave on the same day I called!!! Fixed the issue with plenty of options offered on a possible replacement!⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Last night my AC went out. asked some neighbors about who they would recommend. one said “hughes” so I called. the dispatcher said she thought she would have an opening in the morning and said she would call me back. she called back the next morning and said the tech would be by at 11 am. the tech came out diagnosed as a bad compressor and said it would be 300 for the service call. I told him I had no idea it would be so much. the dispatcher never even quoted me a price one time, just that someone would come out so I refused to pay. then the tech got the owner on the phone who said “well you didn’t expect for someone to come out for free did you?” I said “no, but i said had I been quoted a 300 dollar service call fee I would not have had anyone from your business come out at all”. he said he would remove the “weekend charge” and asked for 150.00. I felt pretty intimidated into paying this having never once discussed pricing and discovering later that I could have waited until Monday and had called other places who only charge 75.00. In any case if you do business with them get them to tell you up front what the service call price was. I went from being really thankful the company was nice enough to have someone come out today, but found out later that it came at a great cost, one that was not communicated up front

Tremendous customer service. They kept you informed throughout the whole process of replacing my air conditioning/furnace. Even after it was installed they called to see if there was anything else they could do or if Id any questions. very friendly very knowledgeable very good. competitive prices.

Called Hughes air conditioning, put in for emergency service, someone will, 4 hours later called again same thing, then 4 hours later, oh we have stop working. Will call you in the morning and touch base. No call. Never heard back. Terrible service would not recommend these air conditioning company. Say’s 24hr. That’s only answering telephones. Not reliable at all.

As an investment property owner, I’ve needed their assistance on 4 different properties this past year - 2 replacements and 2 service/repair visits. They’ve been outstanding in all regards - professional, knowledgeable, fairly priced and incredibly responsive. They diagnosed and solved a problem at a property that two prior companies had missed. They’re now the only AC company I’ll call! Everyone from the owner and office staff to the technicians are super courteous and friendly, even after being stuck in a hot attic in August, and that’s saying something!

Timeliness was very good and the unit was installed in one day. They had to enlarge the opening to get the unit into the attic. They hired a drywall guy to repair the cutout they did and his work was very good. It took him several trips to complete the job, but the several trips were needed.

Excellent company to do business with! Open an honest from the start and never have to worry about their people trying to upsell you anything the moment they get into the house. Had an entire system replaced in a previous home by Hughes, completely professional installation with two of the greatest installers ever. Just had a service call on new home and Service tech found the issue and corrected it quickly. Again, very impressed with the level of professionalism and fair price for service rendered. Hughes Air was great! They were able to give me a quick quote with information I gave over the phone after knowing what competitors had already quoted me. This saved me from having to take time off from work to have another company come out to the house. They beat my other quotes and were able to get it installed the next day. They had great prices, timeliness and service. The technicians that did the install took the time to thoroughly go over the new equipment and explain any questions I had. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend them to anyone.

Hughes exceeded my expectations.! Our AC had officially died on us after cooling our home for 20+ years. We had to have the original Air Conditioner and furnace for our condo replaced. We had been given 3 company names from friends and neighbors. Jim Hughes did a great job. He was there during the installation and took pictures of the work in progress (on the roof) and explained everything. He quickly followed up with any questions I had. Everybody involved at Hughes went the extra distance leaving us with a completely satisfied job. They are the best HVAC company I have done business with.

First day of summer and our air conditioning broke down in the hottest part of the day. Eron made it out at 11pm and got our unit fixed quickly. He was very polite and attentive, good at his job and you can tell he cares about customers. Do not hesitate to call this company.

I contacted Hughes Air for service work after me neighbor recommended them. The service work was great, so I had Hughes bid a complete system replacement 2 years later. Not only was there price better than the 2 other companies I contacted, but I knew their service would be excellent as well. The techs who installed my systems were great and completed 2 heat pump systems in 2 days. Everything works great and they answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable. I had bad experience with several HVAC companies through my home warranty, but Hughes was nothing like that. Great people, great price, great service. I highly recommend!

Gilbert answered all my questions with patience and clarity. He was available to take my calls when I placed them. There were no surprises upon install. The installers were polite and worked hard for 10 hours with 2 short breaks. Since I was having a leak, I needed fast response and I got exactly that! The other day my AC stopped working. I called Hughes Air right away. They were so nice! Reno the service technician called me back soon after and was able to be at my house within an hour. He was very friendly and knowledgable and he answered every question I had. He put in a new starter kit and my AC has been working great since! Im very satisfied and we will definitely use this company again.

Hughes Air Heating a Cooling is a first class operation. They provide excellent professional service, quality product (Trane) at very competitive prices. I bought 2 units for a family member last April and was so satisfied that I just bought one for my own house. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

DO NOT UTILIZE THIS COMPANY, the owner was completely disrespectful when I found out they sold me a thermostat for $270 and the same model at 3 different retailers were $170 cheaper. The owners response was not to make things right but that it was my fault for not looking at other options before buying the overpriced unit. He also stated that it was due to the service fee but the technicians wont tell you there is one nor will they itemize it on your invoice. Be careful of this company.

Top notch from start to finish.Ryan and Jessie did a great job.They arrived on time and worked hard all day to replace my 3 ton split system.But throughout the day, they maintained a great attitude and were always courteous and professional. Jim Hughes stopped by to see how things were going, which was a nice touch. And Rachael, who handled all the scheduling an billing, was first rate.Ill be calling them next year to replace my other 3 ton unit.

Make sure they understand your problem. They sent a guy out after quoting us a price over the phone. Apparently the problem was not clear and the price doubled. When told we didnt agree and refused the new price we were billed with a service fee of $89 for the call. We will not be using this company in the future.

I contacted about 5 companies. Some were referred to us by friends and we found some on our own. I found Hughes on the internet. All five companies came out and then later emailed us a quote. Jim Hughes, the owner came out was very pleasant and not at all like a salesman like some of the other companies. He was just very matter of fact and didnt waste my time giving me too much information or tooting his own horn. He gave a very competitive quote and although other companies promised to beat anyones price, we felt more comfortable Jims honest and down to earth approach.Everything else from there was easy. The office was easy to deal with for scheduling and the crew that came out to do the install were very professional and courteous. They explained things as needed and cleaned up after they left so we never knew they were there.I would highly recommend their service and will call them again if I need service or in 22 years when I am replacing these units.

I had a terrific experience replacing an old central ac/heat unit with Hughes. Mr. Hughes (the man himself) came out to do the inspection and quote. He was very thorough and respectful, and was able to give me several competitive options. Fay, the helpful woman from his office, followed up and answered all of my questions in a thorough and timely manner. Price wise they were on par with the other 3 companies I recieved quotes from. The installation was done within the week, only taking about 6 hours from start to finish. The three man crew was polite, professional, and very tidy. The unit itself is a huge upgrade from the old one. One of the big reasons we went with Hughes is the product, Trane. There is practically no noise when it is on. The crew made our duct system more efficient so now everything is heated evenly, and it has created a much more comfortable environment. I also really like the new digital thermostat that they installed. Overall a great experience, and I will definitely call them when our 2nd unit needs replacing.

Good thorough service. The technician spent a lot of time checking everything and reporting on the status of each unit. I have an annual contract which makes it easier to remember when to have the units checked. It would have been 5 stars but the service person did not have the required filters and had to schedule a second visit.

My experience with Hughes AC was great. The 2 installers were pleasant and worked very hard to complete the project in 1 day. They cleaned up everything. Quick response, fair pricing and amazing service. Jim is a hands on owner - came out immediately to talk about the new unit, got it scheduled for installation and within days my old unit had issues. It was taken care of immediately by a tech on a week night and Jim himself called to see if everything was ok. Installation was professional and the system is awesome! Went onto the APS site and could see an immediate drastic reduction in the amount of energy this new system is using and its much more comfortable than old unit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I have only great things to say about Hughes Air since I contacted them about replacing my heat pump last December. I had done a slew of research, and had contacted several dreadful companies before I made my decision to go with Hughes Air. It was the best decision I could have made! Everyone at Hughes is professional and friendly, and they truly believe in providing excellent customer service. Thats rare in this day and age, and very appreciated, especially since I can be a pain-in-the-butt with my pre-purchase questions! :)Jim Hughes came out personally to analyze my house and my heating and cooling needs and provide the estimates. We discussed uneven temps, and duct work, and Jim saw one problem with my duct work but told me to hold off and see if the new unit helped this problem, instead of trying to up-sell me when I was vulnerable. That was impressive!I went with the Trane XL16c (4 ton, 16-seer, 2-stage), and while I havent had any problems with the unit itself, Reno and Nate have been out a couple of times to do adjustments to ensure my comfort...including installing and adjusting dampers to even out the temperatures around my house. And this was all part of the installation service. How sweet is that?I wish I would have discovered Hughes Air when I bought my house in 2002, but I didnt, and am now recommending them to everyone I know.I own and run my own business, and I always try to support other small businesses, especially when they treat their customers as well as I treat mine.Thank you, to everyone at Hughes Air! Just had both of our Air Conditioners replaced by the Hughes team and they did an absolutely fantastic job.Jim Hughes is a tremendous service plus professional who pays attention to detail and truly cares about his customers.In all his employees display the same Professional attitude.While we have needed to get our AC’s replaced for several years, we just barely limped Ali g with our 20 year old units.. because we pretty much have PTSD from a series of bad to mediocre contractors and dreaded the idea of tearing our house apart to remove our existing units. What a great experience with Jim and the team at Hughes Air. I was having trouble with my breakers on a Friday at 4pm. I called Hughes and told Jim about the problem and he was at my house within the hour. He had me back up an running the same day. My 2 units were 16 years old...so I asked him for a quote for replacement. He came to me with a better price and system configuration than the other 3 guys which had quoted me earlier in the month. His team was fast and courteous and installed my new Trane units the following week. He came back and double checked the work. No question that I will be using and recommending the Hughes team from here on out.

Had a new trane a/c unit installed on August 1st and everything went fabulous! had a small issue but they were right on it and resolved it for me. Its such a great company it really deserves more then 5 stars! Mark who initially came out to quote my price was friendly and explained what my needs for my size house on a a/c would be and John and Tristan the Installers that came out were very courteous and so very nice! They were thorough and went over every detail concerning the new unit and the thermostat. I highly recommend them and I am more then satisfied and know I am in good hands with them for all my future a/c needs.if your looking for a good air and heating company dont bother to look any further this is the place you wont be disappointed.

About a month ago we had an A/C unit installed by Hughes Air. This last week we had the unfortunate luck of our other unit going out. We contacted Hughes Air again to replace the second unit for us. They came quickly to first inspect the old unit and then worked hard to get an appointment set to install our new unit as quickly as possible. I was very grateful since I am 36 wks pregnant! The folks from Hughes Air are outstanding. One of our AC units went out around 9 pm Monday night. I called in stating it was not an emergency since it was the hottest day of the year and our other AC unit was working. I was told the job would be dispatched in the morning. At 8 am the next morning we recieved a call and had service by 10. Eron arrived diagnosed the problem, recommend two repair options and fixed our AC. Hughes and their team are Fast, Professional and Trusted.

While shopping for a new HVAC unit, Hughes Air was recommended to me. I requested proposals from several companies, but Hughes offered great value for a very fair price. The installers were efficient and knowledgeable. I learned that Hughes Air is one of very few Heating and Air Conditioning companies whose service techs do not work on commission. That element is important in having an honest assessment of the necessary service for an HVAC unit. Everyone I dealt with was very professional, straightforward and personable. Hughes Air was wonderful to deal with! I had a Rosie certified company come out and they properly diagnosed the problem but the price they quoted me for a replacement fan motor that was on their truck was $500, not even the Trane proper replacement. When I checked with them the next morning, they said it would be $634. I had a feeling this was going to happen, as with so many other Rosie-on-the-House certified contractors, that made me look someplace else the night before and found Hughes. I sent them an e-mail that evening and Jim the owner contacted me first thing in the morning and gave me a quote of $460 for the proper replacement for a Trane unit. Furthermore he was able to have Reno out at my house 4-5 hours later and in 30 minutes he had my unit purring along. Reno didnt try to sell me anything else and was very friendly and obviously knew what he was doing. I got several business cards because I will surely refer all my friends and family to Hughes. Great job!!!

Our ac broke on a Saturday afternoon, Hughes Air had a repair person at my house with in an hour to repair it. We had a nice and cool house the rest of the weekend.

The price just kept going up and up. They are expensive and gouge you on prices. No matter what the other comments say DONT hire this company. Shop around.
