Lake appliances had me scheduled two weeks out but somehow where able to fit me in way sooner than that. They must have had a cancellation and remembered me and called me up and offered an earlier visit and took care of my freezer two days later instead. They send over their service man Branden who I was very impressed with. He and his partner where professional and friendly, not to mention willing to go beyond and educate me on my appliances I.e how to properly maintain it and recognize area’s of future concern. I highly recommend this company for they have my confidence as a competent and trustworthy business.

Great overall experience. Called in and someone answered the phone, good 1st sign. They setup an appointment to come and fix my refrigerator and set good expectations regarding price and window service person would arrive. Service person called and asked if it would be okay to be early. Service person then diagnosed the issue and talked me through it. We then discussed repair and cost. Once I accepted the proposal the service tech fixed the issue immediately. Tech was courteous, polite and informative throughout the process. 5 stars.

Good communication from Lake Appliance before appointment. The technician, Tony, arrived on time and quickly diagnosed and repaired the issue with our oven. Can’t ask for much more than that.

Tony was great. Pleasant, professional and handled our problem to the best of his ability. Our refrigerator is unrepairable but he handled the claim and took time to explain the process to me. Would not hesitate to use them again.

This business was contracted by a warranty service to come out and conduct a repair on my refrigerator on Friday between 0800 and 1200. Instead of keeping the appointment time, they called and told us that they only come out to my end of the valley once every two weeks. The refrigerator is not operational. At all. And they want me to wait an additional two weeks to get someone to just look at it?! Completely unacceptable. What this company is saying is that someone who lives outside of the Boise/ Meridian area is not important enough to keep an appointment with period. Regardless of the need for repair in a reasonable amount of time. I will ENSURE that EVERYONE knows what kind of shoddy repair services this company offers. Full stop.Edit: You rescheduled my appointment because you cant be bothered to come out to my end of the valley but once every two weeks. Thats more so an issue with your company wanting to venture out 30ish miles away from your central office.Im understanding about staffing issues and sympathetic to them as well. You would do well, however, to not place blame on the customer for your shortages in manpower and look first to how you conduct business. I find your statement Its unfortunate that people are not more understanding deeply offensive, especially since the central issue is NOT that you had to reschedule because of employees getting sick, but that you only visit this end of the valley EVERY TWO WEEKS!!!!!!!!!Your response shows a disgusting lack of integrity. Take ownership. Be responsible.

Very professional company and friendly, knowledgeable service techs. Showed up on time as promised and performed diagnostic test of dishwasher. He found out the problem but was unable to repair due to manufacture discontinued parts. Thank you for the recommendation of better quality appliances to purchase next.

Great prompt and professional service from Colton today! Took a look at our washer/dryer combo and fixed the uneven legs causing our washer to shake. Unfortunately our issue was a plumbing one but he was able to give tips for washing when our drain pipe issue is resolved. Even took time to drain the water out of the washer so it wasn’t just sitting there. 10/10

Wasnt schedule until next week but offered to come early due to another customers cancellation and Sears delay in obtaining my part. FRAUD BEWARE. This company seems to LACK HONESTY AND INTEGRITY. Our three year old $547 Maytag washing machine was no longer spinning the clothes dry. The warranty was for a ten-year period for the drive motor and wash basket. We looked online and watch a guy show how to change the hub. I figured it was worth seeing if it’s covered under warranty before I tackle it myself. So we called Maytag and they said they would send out a tech and as long as it was covered in the warranty we would owe nothing. If it wasn’t we’d have to pay $125 service call fee. I figured the drive motor and wash basket was a majority of the washers components. Matt B. the Lake Appliance Repair tech came out and told us we needed to change the gearbox (not covered under warranty) and the wash basket (covered under warranty). The total bill for just our portion was going to be $589. I wasnt interested since the washer didn’t even cost that much. He was very persistent and told us that we’d be lucky to find a washer or even parts right now do the shortages. I felt like he was selling us a condo share. We paid $125 service fee and ordered the part online for the hub which cost $8.95. I put the hub in myself which took about 30 minutes and it wasn’t hard. The old hub did have broken splines on the inside. The washer works fine and spins just like it supposed to. I strongly felt like this company was trying to take advantage of us. We wasted $125 for Lake Appliance to come out and tell us we need to change a bunch of parts that clearly didn’t need to be changed for a washer that wasnt even worth the repairs.

Tony was on time and super knowledgeable and professional. He knew exactly was with wrong with our brand new freezer and fixed it. Id call Tony for any appliance repair issues.

AVOIDOver a period of 3 months and 5 scheduled visits, one that they didnt show up to (did not have the parts on the truck)..... I have dealt with an overseas call center, only 2 calls from a local representative, and informed that the repairs could only be performed on Wednesday or Thursday. One visit an incorrect part was on the truck, delays in supply chain, lack of communication and at the last vist I was told the repair was complete but the freezer still would not function, the refrigerator stopped cooling. 3 additional parts were ordered without my knowledge pushing the possible repair to 5/12/2021. Unacceptable customer service and business practices.

We had a newly purchased dishwasher that was leaking from its first use. Was under warranty and called GE for service call. They assigned Lake Appliance, new to the Boise area. The technician, Tony did an awesome job. He explained the problem and how he was going to fix and then did the repair.He was very cordial and professional.Wish all repairs were so smooth. I have a new Frigidaire dishwasher that was a warranty claim. The technician spoke with me over the phone to diagnose the issue so he could be more prepared when he came to my house for the repair. My technician showed up on time and was extremely professional and respectful. I highly recommend Lake appliance as they will be my GO TO for all my appliance needs.

Lake appliance repaired my microwave in July of 2020 and it failed in less than 5 months on Novemeber 7, 2020. They have an explicit warranty on their web site for 1 year of labor and 5 years parts and they refuse to honor it. This is a Frigidaire Microwave less than two years old installed in a newly built home. This microwave has failed 3 times for same reason. Deal with Lake Appliance and Frigidaire at your own peril. They are both dishonest.P.S. The tech he sent broke the top plastic grill cover.

Colton was such a great help! He was on time, very polite and professional. He was able to give us some excellent advice on how to get the best performance from our dryer. We appreciated his input and are following up with his suggestions. We will definitely use Lake Appliance Repair again!

I called for service on my dryer on Thursday and got an appointment for the following day! Communication and follow up about the appointment were spot on! Colten showed up right on schedule, wore a mask and booties and got right to work. He ran tests and determined that even though the tests were positive, the dryer still didn’t perform as it should. He explained everything thoroughly and said we should contact the store and request a replacement. He prepared a report and said he would order the one part that wasn’t performing perfectly, just in case. Colten also found a way to make the dryer work until it’s replaced!! Woo hoo!I contacted the office to let them know how professional Colten was and to request a copy of the report so I would have everything I needed to speak with the company we purchased the dryer from. They got right back to me to send the report and to offer to reach out to the appliance company! We couldn’t be happier with their service and follow through! We highly recommend them to anyone needing an appliance repair! I just wish I could leave more stars!

Have been without a dishwasher for 2 months. Appointments are scheduled and reschedule by your and then cancelled last minute. They argue and lie to you over the phone instead of help a customer in need.Spoke to Paul tonight and was aggressive, disrespectful, argumentative and refused to give any regard for my appointment being reschedule multiple times and that i have to cancel work and reschedule clients for this.

Service was just fine, quick. They called 15 minutes before they arrived. Two things that bugged me: We had set up for a 4-hour afternoon window for their repair, which worked well with our schedule. The night before, they called and left a voicemail saying that our window had changed to the 4-hour morning window, same day. Then we had to call back and wait on hold for 10 minutes to confirm the change, which did not work as well with our schedule. Second, the technician did not wear a mask. If youre entering peoples homes during a pandemic, and youre providing a service, you should wear a mask.

Colten was great. The office struggled on keeping information straight and needing to reschedule a few times so we were about to completely cancel. Colten gave me a call and for us in and was great to work with. He is the reason I am giving them a 4. He was professional, knowledgeable and was in and out.

Fantastic service! I have a Wolf range that’s been having a problem and couldn’t get anyone to even respond... until I called Lake Appliance Repair. Since the range is in Cascade, Idaho, (80 miles away from Boise) it was particularly difficult to find someone willing to even check on it. They picked up the phone at 5:30pm on Friday and showed up 10 minutes early on Monday morning! Matt was the technician I met with. He called and texted me just before his arrival, was very professional and was able to diagnose the issue in a few minutes.I will definitely be calling them in the future! 🙂

Our dryer went out and would not spin. We called Lake Appliance Repair and within 30 minutes Matt arrived at our door. In less than 15 minutes he had the problem identified and repaired the same day. We could not have asked for a better technician. Matt is very professional and was very quick to get our dryer back up and running.

The value of the fridge want worth it. Had a second guy look at it, but he said it wasnt worth fixing due to the moist in the fridge due to the cut cooper tube. $1300 to fix the repair, let alone the $100 to charge to tell me whats wrong wasnt even worth it. Ended throwing the fridge out due to that.

My initial repair visit and diagnosis was professional and on time. After parts were ordered and installed, the repair was worse than before and leaking water all over ater the repairman left. I called back to Lake Appliance and they said I had to call GE becuase this was a warranty issue and they had already closed out their ticket. They would not back their repair and I will never call them for service. This is a company that dont back their work and then pass the respnsability off to the manufature when they fail to complete the repair correctly.
