They are great with the kids. Ive brought my son here since he was 5, hes now 9, he was so shy and quiet they really helped get him out of his shell. He loves the class. Good safety precautions against covid so he is still very comfortable going there.
Joining RKM has been like joining a family. The instructors challenge you to do your best, while also offering endless encouragement, as do the other students. I joined a little over a year ago and beyond the amazing friendships, I have lost twenty pounds and have become much stronger and more confident. If youre looking for a place that will help you transform yourself, come check out a class. You wont regret it.
Very impressed, awesome classesThere is real danger out there and they teach you in a way that understands the reality of the situations you may find yourself in.Very welcoming5/5
Great place to workout and make some friends. Very good for beginners and more advanced... Not much good sparring partners for big guys like me tough...
Starting taking Krav Maga classes a few months ago and so happy that I did! Joining the school is intense but Ali was very welcoming and all the people there are very supportive and willing to teach you if you are eager to learn. Some bruises here and there but my confidence is up, and thats what counts!
Best gym around for total body fitness and self-defense. Trained staff is professional and helpful. Roshankish is a true gem in the area for many types of martial arts training styles and is perfect for any disciplined students looking to learn.
Ali is an unbelievably awesome instructor! He has a lot patience while he teaches and the classes are really welcoming. Students have a wide range in skill levels (beginners to very advanced) but you can always do classes together and not feel left out. The attack and defense tactics are extremely well reasoned, and effective. No gospel preaching here- only effective moves. Very thankful to have taken classes here.
Professional Environment, Ranging Various Equipment, Results, Technical Specialists. These are a few of the positive statements I can make about the gym. Ali and his team have been brilliant.
This place is amazing. The community is friendly and inviting. Ali and the other instructors are great teachers and excel at teaching the foundations while also helping students adjust the lessons to best suit their particular strengths and weaknesses.
I’ve been going to RKM for a few months now, taking their different classes. I’m very satisfied. There’s men and women of all different skill levels, ages and sizes, so you don’t feel out of place. Friendly people (in their own way), like a community.Nice big facility with lots of equipment. They offer several different classes/styles throughout the day. (Another school uses the building too. Should check with Ali, the building owner, for details on anything.)For better or worse, you may get roughed up a little from time to time (bruises, etc.). While there is caution and everyone’s mindful of your limits, there is more sparring and contact than some other schools. Because that’s how you actually learn, especially for a real fight.Good workout too.
This place changed my life. No joke. It has become the place I go every evening, to vent, to see friends and most importantly to train my ass off. Since I joined Ive lost a ton of weight, learned how to fight and defend myself, I even have the opportunity to teach! Ali Roshankish, the owner and head instructor is a terrific teacher, and knows how to motivate his students and keep them motivated. If you are looking for a different kind of gym experience, want to get into terrific shape, learn an invaluable set of life skills and make a new bunch of friends, this is the place for you!
This place is amazing. If you want to learn to defend yourself and an intense workout, this is the place to go.
My 2 boys (5 and 3 years old) have been taking taekwondo at Roshankish for 2 months now and couldnt love it more!! The enrollment process is low pressure and we were able to make sure it would be a good fit. This is not always the case so it is really appreciated. The class times are perfect for working parents, not smack in the middle of the day. The teachers DJ, Kenny and Elsa are so wonderful with the kids and even the older students help and pay special attention to little ones. Originally I planned for this to be a summer activity but we will be continuing into the school year we love it so much! 🥋🥋
Ive learned so much in just a few months of classes. These guys really know their stuff and are very welcoming to new students. Kraal Maga is a great workout, great self defense and has gotten me to enjoy exercise again!
A gym for those who wish to learn self defense, get in shape and train the martial arts of Krav Maga, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jui Jitsu. Ali has over 25 years of high-level fighting experience and has a practical approach to self defense. The lessons are designed to teach you the right way to defend yourself in a critical situation; the conditioning and drilling make your body durable and tough. As Ali says, “Train hard, fight easy”Stop in, what are you waiting for?
I have been taking Krav Maga and Muay Thai at Roshankish Krav Maga in Medford for a dew years now. I love training there . They have a great facility. The instructors and the students are very friendly and make everyone feel at ease . I highly recommend anyone to go and try any classes.
Amazing workout that teaches you real life, worse case scenario skills. Youll respectfully be pushed to your limit.
Their website says they offer BJJ, but they dont actually. The BJJ classes are run completely separately and not included in the pricing, and the krav maga instructor gets annoyed if you actually do bjj at his gym. The advertising is deceiving...That said, the class is a great workout.
I started here 3 weeks ago with next to no prior martial arts experience. All the instructors have been extremely helpful in showing me ways to improve my technique and general way of thinking.
So glad I was brave enough to try this school! I was super nervous at first, since I have no martial arts experience. However, everyone there (especially the head instructor and owner, Ali) made me feel welcome and comfortable. It didnt matter that I was a beginner... He had me training with more experienced students and he was such a great instructor that I felt more confident right away!I initially signed up for Krav Maga/Self Defense but now I also do Muay Thai/kickboxing and Brazilian Jui Jitsu. Ive also taken a few kicking classes with Kenny, the Tae Kwon Do instructor (who is awesome!)I cant say enough about how great this school is. Its like the students in the adult program are another little family. I definately recommend this school to others!
Awesome
