Amazing place! The instructors are so helpful and motivating. They don’t make you feel out of place or like you don’t belong. Whether you’re looking to kickbox or lift some weights, they have everything!
I began personal training with Dan Williams in October 2020 and cannot say enough good things about him & Fit in New England. He pays close attention to form and technique-appropriately builds challenging workouts. He is a great coach. Far exceeds expectations!! Thank you!!
A friend of mine encouraged me to try out the classes here and I’m so glad I did. I was used to taking classes like kickboxing and yoga so I was a bit nervous to introduce weights and new exercises into my routine. I realized within my first 5 minutes of being there that there was nothing to be nervous about. The instructors, Mike and Brad, are awesome! They push everyone to their full potential. I always feel accomplished after the workout. The community here is also wonderful. The fellow students are super friendly and make the experience here even better. The gym is also super clean and has a lot of great equipment. If you are looking to try something new and want to work with knowledgeable trainers, I recommend you check this place out.
I decided to give this gym a try and I’m so happy I did. It’s a great gym with very knowledgeable trainers. Colin is super friendly and Brad is really energetic but I’ve been mainly training with Mike. Mike’s an awesome trainer! He’s so fun to train with and motivates me in a positive way. When I feel like I can’t do an exercise, he encourages me and is right there to make sure I get through the exercise without hurting myself. He shows me proper techniques which is really important to prevent injuries. I feel like I’m getting stronger every time I’m there working out. If you’re thinking about joining a gym, I would highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed!

We have been going to Fit in New England (F.I.N.E) twice a week for 7 months. Its a family commitment (parents and 16 year old daughter). We decided that we all had areas that we wanted to work on and that we would do it together. For us- we always check reviews and/or look for a recommendation from our contacts. We were referred to FINE and would absolutely make a strong recommendation for others to check out.Each one of my family members started with different fitness strengths and opportunities. Truly a no judgment zone. The staff truly cares about your goals, will push you to achieve success and customizes your work out so that you enjoy working out and look forward to it. I started with a shoulder injury and after 6 months I feel completely healed and stronger than ever.We work with Kiernan. Important with our crazy work schedules that occasionally when we need to reschedule a training session that we have someone that is flexible and responsive. I cant thank this team enough for the commitment and support they have provided my family- we are experiencing incredible progress in our health and fitness goals!Thought I would share a picture that my husband posted on social media as a way to validate to me that he showed up despite me not being able to go!
This is such a great place. The classes are small, no more than 6 people. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and offer positive feedback. I have also taken one-on-one personal training sessions. The sessions are designed specifically to help you work toward your own goals. I have been going to Fit in New England for about a year and can only say positive things about this little gold mind.
I have been working out with Colin for over 6 years now. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and it is apparent how much he enjoys his work. No matter what your fitness level is, no matter what your age is, Colin will put together a customized program each time you work out with him. FINE is a perfect PT studio and Colin is the most amazing trainer Ive ever had. Ive been working with him for at least 6 years and followed him to FINE when it first opened. The studio is clean, bright, has ample meter parking and free towels. I have friends that do the small group classes who also love it. For me, I like the 1:1 attention of PT. I highly recommend this studio!!
FINEI have worked out 1:1 with the owner Colin for close to year now.I was referred to him by a Physical Therapist that I had worked with on rehab. As a medical professional, I have been extremely impressed with the depth and breadth of Colin’s knowledge. Despite having some physical limitations, I have gained a tremendous amount of strength and flexibility since working with him due to his ability to tailor work out programs to my individual needs. He also designs individualized workouts or “homework”, as he calls it, to do in your times between training sessions. He is both professional and light hearted at once. I find his sense of humor, positive attitude and encouragement refreshing especially after a long day at work when I need some extra motivation!He balances kindness with toughness and knows when to push and when not to push. I have worked out with other trainers over the years and Colin is the cream of the crop. The gym is well appointed and very clean to boot.
I cant say enough about the team at Fit in New England. The trainers are knowledgeable, professionally certified and fun!Colin is a great trainer, always listening to what I am trying to accomplish and outlining workouts that will help me get there. He focuses on form and constant improvement. He even sat down and helped me outline a training plan for an upcoming marathon.The facility and equipment are brand new and it seems there is something new to try almost every week. The shower and changing area make it very convenient. A great place to work out and stay motivated!
The trainers here are all super knowledgeable, and will tailor their training to your needs, injuries and goals. My trainer (Brad) has come up with a nearly endless series of different exercises for me, I almost never do the same exercise twice in a week. This definitely helps keep me engaged and interested. Ive made really serious improvements in overall strength in the 6 months Ive been going there. The facility is clean and the machines are well maintained, and the trainers are always responsive to texts if I have a question.
If you are having doubts, dont!! I am so glad I joined FINE, I am finally getting in shape after a series of injuries (and lots of laziness). Everybody here is awesome and immediately make you feel welcome, youll feel at home since time zero. All trainers are certified, and classes are small, which means they will pay attention to YOU, give you modifications if needed, make sure you use proper form... youll get the max out of your training and effort. Ive trained with both Brad and Mike, they make classes fly by, they keep it so upbeat and fun you wont even notice youve been training for one hour and are dripping sweat. Totally recommend.

The atmosphere, the knowledge of the trainers. While all my friends who train have suffered multiple injuries over the past few years, I have yet to have one even while pushing my limits. I cant say I will never have one in the future, but Colins focus of form is big reason why I have been able to go this long with no issues. Invest in your health and long-term fitness. Do your 75 year-old self a favor. This is the place to be!
I love this personal training gym! I worked with Colin before, during and after pregnancy. He is absolutely great! He pushes me to my limits but also understands where my limits are. Thanks to working out I feel great!! Its also nice that it helped me get back to my pre-pregnancy jeans
One on one training was new experience for me. After working out on my own and getting results I fee l as though i plateaued. When I signed up for my training with Kiernan at Fit in New England the programs we went through and still go through have gotten me to a point where I feel better now at 49 than I did in my 30s. Hes a great coach and doesnt let up exactly what I was looking for. If your looking for new experience with your training you need to give him a shot, you wont be disappointed.
The staff at FINE are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and energetic. All equipment and floor space are absolutely spotless; and the cleanliness of the shower and restroom are impeccable. After nearly five weeks of training here with Colin, for the first time in many years, I am able to remain motivated, engaged and dedicated to improving my overall health and physical activity. The staffs skillset, specialized education level and background in Exercise Physiology have allowed me to increase my strength, lose weight and remain informed on proper technique and concept. I cannot say enough about the focus and attention given to me in my 1:1 sessions each week. Please check this place out!
I have been training with Colin for a few years now and cant picture my fitness life without him. He is one of the most educated trainers I have ever met. He is very professional but also enjoys having a good time because working out should be fun. My goals are just as important to him as they are to me. In addition to training once a week with him he provides me with a program for me to use on my other days. It makes working out so much easier to know that what I am doing was created by a professional who knows my fitness level and my goals. Great place for serious training. Brad and Colin are both very knowledgeable trainers and are very accomodating with schedules. So do yourself a favor and get some training FOR THE HEALTH OF IT.
Personal training at Fit in New England is reasonably priced and well worth every dime. I showed up in spring with a shoulder injury and an attitude about spending time on physical therapy, in my hasty rush for a leaner middle-aged frame before beach season. Brad quickly proved to be a skilled, patient, and clever coach with a great sense of humor. In little more than a month, he healed my shoulder and rebooted my metabolism by integrating PT into the most rigorous full-body workouts I could withstand with a bum limb. In three months, clothes were fitting better, and I was feeling trim. Now that I’ve scaled back to meeting every other week, he varies the exercises so I don’t plateau and gives me interesting workouts to do in my home gym, to guide me toward the ultimate goal: staying fit in my fifties on my own.
Ive worked with Colin for more than 5 years. He has taken me from a non-exerciser to someone who truly enjoys working out. I might also add my trick shoulder no longer does tricks. Fit in New England is a great resource to help me and others continue to progress.

I have been working out with Collin a year before FINE opened. I gladly ended my membership at my previous gym when he opened FINE. A few months in I broke my hand and despite a lot of hesitancy I went back and he worked around my injury and kept me moving and active. My spouse also now goes to FINE as well.

I happened upon Fit in New England one morning while in Medford Square, and contacted the staff about trying out small group classes. The staff, Colin and Kiernan, are friendly, fun, professional, and very knowledgeable about fitness and training. The facility is in a convenient location, and the space is clean, welcoming, and has quality equipment.Im the type of person that isnt likely to work out on my own, so the small group class setup is great. The classes are challenging, and I recommend trying it out!

The open space gleams with new state-of-the-art equipment, has lots of natural light, and is always so clean...never seen a dust bunny. However, that is just the icing on the cake. Ive been working out weekly with Kiernan for a few months now. I dont think Ive ever had the same workout twice. He keeps changing the exercises and challenging me. He demonstrates each exercise first and really focuses on my form. This is my first time using a personal trainer and I like it because it keeps me accountable for working out and Im doing things I wouldnt have done on my own. Ive definitely improved my strength and stamina over these past few months. Ive also noticed my posture has improved and my back pain has decreased. Even though I want to curse him out sometimes during workouts, Im thankful afterwards!

Ive been going to Fit in New England for 7 months and have worked mostly with Kiernan during this time. When I started I was recovering from a back injury, and Kiernan was great at creating weight training routines that built my strength, while not hurting me. Seven months later Im significantly stronger, have lost weight, and gained a lot of confidence in the process. Kiernans been great to work with. Hes really knowledgeable, pushes me in my workouts, and is vested in my success. I highly recommend F.I.N.E. to anyone wanting to get stronger and in better shape.

Fit In New England is everything you could want in a personal training studio. The studio itself is meticulously maintained and includes a shower and lockers for those who need to go back to work or school after training.The owner, Colin is without a doubt one of the best personal trainers out there. His assessments and the resulting programs are tailored to the individual. I have an ankle injury that Colin works around when designing my plans. He has also given me some great excercises to strengthen the ankle without putting too much stress on it. I have been training with Colin for 3 years and I have to say that he is conscious of and truly cares about each individuals issues and goals. He even supplements the training session(s) with homework in which he details weight training and cardio to do outside the studio; in a gym or at home.The studio also provides group training classes for people who prefer that or in addition PT sessions. I really cant say enough good things about Fit In New England! Great place. Awesome trainers. And kick@$$ playlists!
Fit in New England is an incredible resource to have in Medford Square.While I have worked with personal trainers in the past, Kiernan is by far the best trainer I have ever had. He carefully observes my movements and abilities and carefully tailors workouts to meet my needs, address my concerns and help me reach my goals. Kiernan is more than just a list of exercises, carefully explaining the anatomy behind specific movements, which helps me to more carefully and mindfully exercise.Since joining FiNE in November 2016 and working with Kiernan, I have noticed increased muscle definition in my arms, shoulders, chest and legs. He has helped me to correct movements taught to me by other trainers, which have allowed me to exercise more safely and confidently.While hiring a trainer does cost money, it is an investment in yourself. I encourage others to join Fit in New England, and work with Kiernan!
