I’m no stranger to the car buying experience as I have purchased many vehicles from various dealerships. I recognize when a salesman is a true professional and when one is “typical car salesman.” Well Eli Dodgson of George Waikem Ford is the definition of a true professional. He actually listened to what I wanted and even took notes. He then pulled up the exact truck that I had described as wanting and took me to lunch in it. Needless to say he picked up the tab at lunch and when we returned all the paperwork was ready to sign while the truck was even given a bath. Like I said, the consummate professional. Eli and Waikem Ford are what I term “class acts.” Bravo my friends, bravo.

Just purchased my dream SUV, a 2018 Ford Explorer Sport here 1/22/21. My husband and I found a great truck here! We were so excited. I called and even put a deposit down. Just to find out 4 hours later that “the price was listed wrong” BY $10,000!!!. Such an inconvenience. We weren’t even asked if we still wanted to truck. Just told that the deposit would be refunded. They said they wouldn’t budge in price. I’m sorry but even a little bit would have been nice. Definitely won’t be recommending this place. Such a shame because they seemed like nice people!

Call Waikem Ford.Ill admit, I MAY have had a chip on my shoulder regarding car shopping with my husband, so I did the logical thing. I emailed Sarah Hall at Waikem Ford with my phone number and my car thoughts, I answered her questions when she returned my call (in a timely manner), we made an appointment for that afternoon, I left my husband at home, and went car shopping/friend making at Waikem Ford. I was greeted immediately, and Sarah and I got to work. The following morning, Christina tucked me in to my new car, hooked my phone up, and I was off for home. My car has every bell and whistle. Certified pre-owned, the perfect color, heated leather seats...I could go on and on, but trust me.....Go to Waikem Ford. I couldnt have kicked off International Womens Month in a better fashion. I dealt with two female sales reps, a female loan officer, and Vic (who was very friendly, respectful, up front, available, and hard working). Dont succumb to high pressure sales, enjoy the experience at Waikem. Most importantly, my husband loves my car too.

I was told one price and let them know I was going to go get Financing. Then when I was approved, I was told Surprise, there is a 10k difference in Price. They refused to honor the price I was promised.

The service department is atrocious. Good luck trying to get any work done on your vehicle, as they tell you over and over again that your issue will be fixed as it continues to sit in their lot for weeks on end. They will not call you with updates on your vehicle, they will claim that they are so busy that they can’t even look at your vehicle despite that fact that you scheduled ahead to have your work done. My truck is now back there for a second time for an issue they said they resolved the first time. They will try to diagnose the problem without fully inspecting the vehicle, say they performed a service bulletin and send it out the door without even checking to see if the issue was fully resolved. Don’t even think about trying to negotiate with them because if your vehicle doesn’t have their highly coveted warranty, you will continue to fork over hundreds of dollars as they grasp at straws trying to slap a bandaid on the problem. If I ever get my truck back, I will never be bringing it back to this awful dealership.

Daniel Hewitt, Sales Associate, was very helpful when we brought our 2014 Expedition in to help us to better understand this Exp.’s navigation, GPS, phone, etc. I thought Daniel was very friendly and thorough. Although I am not in the market for a vehicle at this time, I would certainly consider their inventory and him in the future.

Essential workers can get a free oil change and tire rotation as long as you have proof and the FordPass app. I had a 1:30pm appointment and showed up at 11am. They asked me what type of oil and I said 5w30 full synthetic. This place is awesome!

Great Customer Care!!Recently Stark County had a wind storm unfortunately at 5:15 am on December 30th a tree destroyed our Explorer. The Waikem Ford team took care of everything. So yesterday we went to the eco lot yesterday to purchase a vehicle. A young salesman approached us, said he had to finish up with a customer and hed be back. We waited in the lobby a good 20 minutes while the manager Rick sat and BSd with another guy in his office. So we decided to just look around the lot at the cars we had in mind, another 20 minutes, no one approached us. I guess there truly is a first time for everything.

I was in a very bad spot with my high interest loan on an unreliable van. I stopped in Waikem Ford on a whim and after several hours of very hard work, Rick Diehl was able to put me in exactly the vehicle I wanted worth a payment I could afford! He treated me so well! He really went above and beyond when every other dealer said I had no option other than buying a brand new car with a payment double what I could afford. I would be in such a bad place if Rick hadnt done so much. Im so happy to be back in a Ford and if I need a new vehicle Ill be stopping at Waikem first for sure!

These workers here are RUDE!!! I am a young man who owns a trucking business and I came into their dealership and I got nothing but attitude from these workers. This is actually Darryl Autery and I have been going to Waikem Fords Service Department for years. They treat each customer with respect, readily accept customers without an appointment and are just a no-nonsense automobile dealership. I own a Nissan and they care for my car the same as any other vehicle driven into their service bay!

I looked at many options at Waikem including the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Nissan Pathfinder, but my ultimate favorites were the Ford Explorer and the Ford Flex. Truth be told, my kids thought the Ford Explorer was a little more sporty so I went with that. I love the Sync My Ride feature, the (Limited) Explorers ability to sync with iPhone, giving me peace of mind that I will be safe and distraction-free while driving.
