Absolutely horrible service providers! They took over for Jump Fiber, who did not contact us at all. I woke up one Monday morning to NO INTERNET at all just one week after paying my bill. Called and the number was non working. Finally got someone when I submitted a ticket, and they tell me they are now zoom broadband and all our bills will be through them from now on. Told me the cost and everything would still be the same just different company name. They tell me that they have express mailed my new card for my internet device but I needed to know when to expect that because I have college courses to take online. (Not a care in the world from these guys. No apologies or truthful meaningful explanations at all by the way. Just this is how its gonna be and thats that.) So I called back and explained to them my urgency and to find out when my card would be in so I could inform my instructors how late I would be in work. (Couldnt just drive to school to use the internet, I have children to tend to). The lady says they mailed it regular mail via USPS. I asked them if they could change it and express and she said no. Asked them if I could be credited for my bill since they switched without notification, she says that isnt on them and they dont issue refunds. So now I am stuck without my $120 from the previous provider, and no way of contacting them to get it back because they dont deal with that she couldnt even give me their working number so I could take care of it myself. Then proceeds to tell me that my card wont work anyways unless I agree to their subscription and pay another $140 for services. First off. I DIDNT GIVE THE OKAY FOR YALL TO TAKE ME ON AS A CUSTOMER! I feel like I shoud have been asked. Not to mention they say their service sucks on the form they mail to you with new card. Absolutely horrible! Do not use them! Horrible customer service, full of deceit, very unprofessional and not the way any business should be handled period!
They switched services only giving us a few days notice. We went ahead and just got their new service even though it was $40 more a month on top of an already expensive bill with less internet usage. We received our replacement SIM card on September the 22nd. We were only able to watch about 30s to a minute of tv before it cut off. We called up to the office after two days of this problem. We had to speak to the “lovely” Nikki who told us it’s the same service, move it around the house to make it work. Then told us if we didn’t like it just cancel. So no help whatsoever. So we moved it around our house just to experience all the same problems. We finally got it in a spot and it worked for the night. Out of the the week we’ve had it. It’s actually worked for one single night. We’ve had to use our hot spots to get our work done from home. Today, September 29th, we have restarted it, troubleshooted it, move it around and it won’t connect at all anymore. Just has a red light. I’ve tried to talk to customer service but they don’t know what they are doing. They just tell me to restart it or that maybe I hit my cap (in a week when it hasn’t even worked) finally I’ve had enough. They were bad before but now just unusable. Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen. Especially the office manager Nikki. She is very rude and unprofessional. She really needs a new profession, because dealing with people is not her calling. I finally canceled after a year of use due to the stupidity of this unbearable company. Please explore all of your options before you go with this horrible company.
Zoom Broadband Rocks! I got this service for my parents ranch house and it words great!!They live out in the middle of nowhere and didnt think we could get a service provider that could give them high speed internet! So far the service has been great, no complaints here!!
The technician went right to work and started checkingthe system. He replaced one part and the system still hadan issue. He did more checking and found the system hada bad secton of cable, this was replaced and the unit wastuned and all was working as it should. The technicians left with the internet working top notch.Knowable and very through workmanship. Well done.Im very satisfied with Zoom Broadband.
We had just about decided we would never have internet without it costing an arm and a leg. Everything we had tried had not performed well. The Zoom technician came in, plugged the device in and we were up and running. Zoom has been great for our family. We have several devices and have not had a bit of trouble with our service.
Sadly we are too rural for internet to work. But it was great to talk to knowledgable humans right away.Prompt, professional, competent responses and they took my return.
Nikki worked very hard to ensure we were able to keep internet service after issues with at&t. I am grateful for her hard work and dedication to keeping us on-line. There are no other reasonable alternatives for internet service where we live due to its remote location. Without Zoom Broadband, wed be in the stone ages. Thank you.
Its good for a few devices at a time. Great if only one or 2, but what can ask for when theyre the only ones in the area.
Had this service for about 6 months with very poor speeds. After recently checking with NetGear who manufactures the modem I found out if you’re a Verizon customer who is on band 13 this service will not work properly. Speed will be very slow at best. Zoom Broadband made no mention of this at sign up.
The first couple of months were great I got good speeds and could game online then month 3 came around and I can barely stream a you tube video I called to see what the problem was and got a call back from Nikki a extremely rude woman who simply and rudely stated there is nothing she can do about the speeds .Im currently searching for a new provider which is difficult due to living in a rural area but zoom is terrible I dont know why for the first 2 months it worked great and then all the sudden I cant do hardly anything at all what I do know is contacting customer service will not help and Nikki is very mean and rude and is not willing to even consider helping you I would recommend another provider if possible for you
Do not trust this company. Data is NOT truly unlimited, they will slow down speeds after using a certain amount of data. Service is decent depending on the day and the time of said day. If you dont have other options, as far as high speed internet, this may seem like a good deal. However, they do accept accountability for their own faults (or the company they lease tower space from).I lost service one day after a major storm, i was told it was due to damage to the LTE tower. After a week of having to call in and check the status i was told it was fixed, yet my modem was still not receiving a signal. I was told to bring the modem in and they would test it. They confirmed it was the modem and then proceeded to charge me for another modem.I asked why i should be charged if the fault was not mine. The response was basically someone has to pay for it. The service was decent while it lasted, but i will not do business with a company that will use any opportunity to line their pockets. Do not trust this company.
Horrible company, service is continually slow. When you call in Nikki tells you that you are lying. Then she hangs up on you continually instead of fixing any issues. She said she does not care what kind of service we get she just wants the money. She acts like she is better than any of the customers. Very rude every time you call in. Do not use this company find another provider.
If you like having speedy internet at the most inopportune times, then Zoom Broadband is for you. If you like having to wait 30 minutes for one picture to load on instagram, then Zoom Broadband is for you. Most TRASH, INCONSISTENT, 1000000000000 ping internet provider on the planet...it do be workin sometimes doe.
I use Zoom Broadband and can always expect fast speeds, and no throttling for a great cost. I would definitely recommend Zoom if youre looking to get reliable, high speed internet!
Zoom broadband is one of the best internet carriers I have ever dealt with. Its so much better than satelite. Customer service is amazing as well. Would recommend to everyone!
The customer service is decent, but the connection is very unreliable where we live. We’re currently on the fastest plan they offer, however we experience frequent disconnects and video quality suffers quite a bit when streaming. Unfortunately we don’t have another option out here.
I got Zoom BroadBand in hopes that it would be faster than my current home Satellite Internet service. Because now I have to work at home using my works VPN. Zoom BroadBand has proven it was worth the price. Download & Upload speeds to my work server are sometimes better than those working in town with a LAN connection. FYI, I am 77 miles from my work place. Luckily, I can see a tower from my homes window.
So their service sounded great and I ordered the modem and installed it myself. No service no matter where I placed it in my house. Even outside which I knew would not be possible given it is not rated for outside service. Sent it back without issue. Recently received an email stating We Can Fix It. Email stated an antenna to be added to the service, my address tested free of charge. Called to set the appointment only to be redirected to another employee who wanted to know what questions I had. Huh??? I restated my request for an appointment only to be told that since in live in Longview there is a $15 charge, she then started talking about a follow up email, which I never received, and was spitting out prices for drop ship, delivery, etc. I asked to have the 2nd email sent to me, nothing sent to me to date. I am very leery of this company.
Price is reasonable and the speed is around 50mbps up and down. Had to mount the access point outside due to our metal roof. I did get a warning that tmobile was gonna cut us off due to too much data use with Netflix, otherwise Id have given them 5 stars. Cant stream 4k because tmobile flags the bandwidth usage as abuse.
I live in the woods and at first had a hard time finding internet services, Zoom Broadband is totally awesome, I never loose my internet, whether it is snowy or raining, so impressed with their staff as well; I always get a return phone call in record time! Would positively recommend Zoom Broadband!
The internet connection isnt reliable in the long run. Sometimes it works fine but it mostly has issues like being randomly disconnected from time to time and experiencing slow speeds. Im done using it after years of inadequate internet service that never seems to work from time to time.
I tried Zoom broadband because the only other option was satellite at our rural cabin. No dsl. No cable.I was skeptical and hereby publicly apologize to my lovely wife (who dragged me, kicking and screaming to our Zoom purchase because I was sure it wouldnt work) because I have tried all four major cell service providers at the cabin and data service is not good enough to send an email. Text and calls only.TO MY SHOCK, IT WORKS. Not only does it work, but it works well. We added a wifi router and we were in business. To make things even better, we got a booster and we now have very fast internet, equivalent to what we get in town.I spoke with the much maligned Nikki (customer service rep.) when it arrived and I didnt think it worked. She answered the phone in two rings, was to the point, and had the problem figured out in a few seconds. If you want some scripted presentation and multiple transfers from a non native English speaker please call for help elsewhere. She got us in business QUICK.As for cost, it is just twenty dollars more a month than the rapacious fees charged by Cablelynx in Longview after your discount period is over. Well worth it.I dont know whether the carrier is a big secret or not. I figured out which it is. It works.Edited:Zoom recently had to change LTE carriers and I am happy to say we have even better service now. The former Tmobile service was good, but the new service, at least for us, offers much better upload speeds, making the occasional zoom meeting more successful. The cost is a little more than before, but the increased service is better, too. From what I can gather, Zoom relies on the cell carrier through which its service is delivered. So, if you live in an area with a terrible cell signal on your phone, you may get better service from an LTE modem because they are just bigger and therefore have bigger antennas. Or it may not work and if so they have a return policy. If you get a signal that is good enough, then you have to be aware that the number of people using a tower can impact the speed as well. I recently drove to San Antonio and checked the speed of towers along the way to pass the time. Some were super fast, and some were super slow. The slow ones were a very long way away or, significantly, were close but in urban areas. Some of the ones in town were much slower for download speed than we see in East Texas. If alot of people are streaming data from a particular tower, the download speed suffers. However, the slow towers usually had high upload speeds (because most people are downloading not uploading). The point is that Zoom is subject to the same problem all consumers of cellular data suffer. Where we live, we are a long way away from the tower, so we just got our modem higher and eventually got a booster. We still get slowdowns at certain times of the day, such as right after school kids get home. Thats just natural.I actually tried the same carrier we now hage when Zoom was on Tmobile because the upload speed was sometimes too slow for occasional Zoom meetings. After six days we got a message (to our LTE modem) that we exceeded 50 gb and our data would be depriotitized. I did some research, and that huge company had sold us some kind of PHONE service, despite it being advertised as a rural LTE home service. I immediately returned it. Zoom, on the other hand, is completely above board and Ive never received any message like that while using Zoom. They sell a real, rural internet service.I dont know whether Zoom exists only in the East Texas area or in other areas of the State or other States. But on the rare occasion when I need to speak to someone, it is someone in Marshall, Texas. Im very glad to be doing business locally.
Zoom has been nothing short of fantastic! If you live in a rural area with limited options, but have average or better cell service, this service is more than likely perfect for you!
Not a great company.
I have been really impressed with Zoom Broadband. My internet speed and customer service has been great. Really appreciate yall for helping us out!
Ordered it strait out the box working downloaded 90 gigs first day no trouble best internet for my rural living condition. Thanks Zoom Broadband for your services.
If i could right negative reviews i would in a heartbeat these people are the most unhelpful money grabbing people I have ever dealt with ive had there service for over a year and its one problem after another with these people im at my wits end. time and again issue after issue and the cant do anything to amend any problems that present them selves now theyre telling me i have to pay for a second plan or turn my service off. they provide zero customer service and every time i try to talk to someone higher i get zero compliance. i have the unlimited data plan and they are telling me i use to much data. they have very poor signal very poor connection strength constant disconnect. worst internet service available matched with worst staff for customer service and zero cooperation zero concern for the customer. im outraged and about ready to sue
Changing residence and trying to move my service. Gentleman I spoke with yesterday seemed to have no clue with any questions I had for him. I was told I would receive a call back today as to when my service would be moved. It is 8 pm and still no call. I feel that customer service is not this companys main priority. Considering changing providers.😕
This is the 4th time Im without internet because of zoom and Ive only been a customer for less than a year. I pay a $100 a month just to go days without internet.
I pay quarterly and get no updates on when my bill is do. My service gets turned off because I didnt pay a bill that I never got. Then I pay the bill online and still have no service for days because their system doesnt notify anyone that my account is up to date.
Very slow internet speeds. Not at all what I expected.
We are on our THIRD week of NO service!! The first week started because they used an old credit card for the bank withdrawl payment. They cut us off for non-payment! And, thats when I called to ask what happened. Thet readily saw their error, but thats when the switch over started from AT&T to TMobile...and everything came apart!. My husband is 68, up and down the tall ladder trying to change positioning toward a different tower...dangerous!! If its not bad enough not to have internet, we cant make calls or accept them. Sometime texts go thru, depending on where we are on our property. So, generally, we just have to get in our car and drive to town to check emails and make calls! Did I mentio. Netflix?! We havent been able to see our shows on Netflix or Prime. In Nikkis defense, she has worked thru weekends and allows my husband to text her to get a status report. I think she is trying hard...but when we tell people about our Internet SAGA, they cant believe it. We do not have a landline, as we cancelled it when we got Zoom.We have our sim card...we are told by Nikki that we are in line to be activated. Is it really 700 people awaiting activation from Tmobile???My kids and family members are SO upset that they cant reach us!Tomorrow is Thursday and with the weekend coming up...looks like its not going to happen!!...again!!!What a TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!
Giving ZOOM Internet Service a try, two weeks money-back guarantee. After having been suffering from Windstream out-in-the-country DSL, this is a breath of fresh air. Service is over AT&T Cellular, for which I have a tower less than a thousand yards away. Installation took 15 minutes. Price is competitive. Data is unlimited. So far, I am very impressed!!
We have had a terrible experience with this company. Unfortunately, it has gone on for years with no improvement. Internet service is sketchy; sometimes it will be fine, then super slow, and it goes out very frequently. Were always told the same things over and over. If we had other options, wed take them!
Worse internet ever. Its our only option in our area which makes us hate it more. Since they changed to the new SIM cards in the modem the internet is much slower an cant stream multiple devices. If you have a choice find a different home internet provider
For one the service is good until u get to nikki nikki is so rude that every time i talk to her i feel attacked and that she dose not care that her job is dealing with people and how they are having a problem with there internet .Second.they are a mis advertisement you do not have a 30 ms you have a 90-1,100 most of the time you will have about a 500 ms.Third there team is horible all they do is send a email to anther person named nikki sand all she says is that we cant do anything about your internet speeds. Fourth the internet speeds are terrible the say oh people switch to us for streaming and gaming i could barley load up google review to type this review on my computer. just dont buy this internet it is a complete wast of 200 dollars
If I could give 0 as a star I would. Their customer service is horrible, they dont abide with agreements, and their Internet service is slow. Would not recommend these people for Internet service. Look for other options.
They falsely advertise. They are rude when I call them. The internet never worked. Im disappointed.
By far the worst wireless internet you can find. We even have a huge tower they use at our shop, and it still goes out every 10 minutes. Im paying for the “Turbo” package and my download speed is 75 KBPS. And of course there is nothing they can do but continue to take your $100 every month for your turtle speed internet. Will for sure cancel when Eastex runs fiber to us.
Frequent disruptions in service. It’s been on and off all Labor Day weekend. Always a “tower” out or a line down in Dallas. I work from home and I can’t rely on it.
