As a college student with a less than stellar car, I’ve had to get work done multiple times while in Marquette. I’ve always taken my car to Barron’s, and I’ve had a great experience every time. Andy and Keith are friendly and do great work. They’ve always been good about fixing problems quickly too.

I cannot say enough good things about Andy at Barron’s. In the past I’ve felt that a lot of mechanics try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge and way over charge and try to fix things that aren’t wrong. Andy goes above and beyond every time and breaks down everything he did and why he did it for me. Grade A service, this is the ONLY place I feel comfortable taking my car.

When visiting Marquette, my brake fluid alert came on and I needed to know whether it was safe for me to drive the two hours back to my home. Barrons was the only garage who agreed to take a take a look at my car. They were kind, attentive, and helpful. I highly recommend this business.

I was on vacation and our GMC started experiencing trouble. I brought it in and, even though they were busy beyond belief, they took me in right then and there and fixed the issue. It only took a little over an hour but it potentially saved our vacation.The master mechanic said that his family was once helped my a kind mechanic while they were traveling and he always tries to help those in need because of it.Anyway, the whole team is filled with honest folks and they are really good people.I’d give 4 more stars if I could.

Brought my Monte Carlo to Barrons Auto recently for repairs. 5/5 they were great. Excellent service, very happy with their work! I will be going back to Barrons.

I was able to schedule an appointment two weeks ago, and dropped my vehicle off this morning. By 11 am, I received a phone call saying I could pick it up! They diagnosed the problem and had completed the fix the same day. It was an easy fix, but a greatly needed one. They explained exactly what they did to fix the problem, making sure I understood what had been done. Another plus is the cost of the repair was fair, not overpriced. I am extremely satisfied with Barrons Auto Repair! The wait for an appointment was well worth the customer service and work done!

Ive used Barrons for my car repair needs for the last 3 years. They are always quick with repairs and do quality work. They dont try and push repairs on you that you dont need, in fact, they are usually excited to call and tell me that the repairs were actually less than quoted! I appreciate that they quote me for what may be needed for the entire scope of the issue, rather than calling to tell me it will actually be more than the quote because something else was wrong that they didnt cover. I reccomend them to my friends when they are in need of repairs on their vehicles. Good business!

Best auto mechanic in town; honest guys charging a fair price for their work. You might pay a few more bucks here than some other mechanics in the area but the quality pays for itself in the long run. Shouts out to Andy and Keith, can’t recommend these guys and this shop enough

The guys at Barrons went totally above and beyond. I’ve never had a better experience getting work done on a vehicle. There was so much more wrong with my brake system than I could’ve ever imagined...as they worked they kept finding more and more problems. They kept me up to date with information and when they didn’t have the parts, they found them elsewhere SO fast. They stayed after hours to fix the issues they kept finding and got all of it done within two days of bringing my car in. Their communication, dedication, and affordability were astoundingly amazing. I can not recommend them enough....20/10 would recommend. When I picked up my car they gave me a full rundown of everything they did, which was way more than what I paid for. I’m never going anywhere else!

I needed to get my electronic throttle control replaced, I messaged them on Facebook and within minutes they messaged me back and got my car in the next morning! They were able to fix it that day and I just picked it up after work. Very impressed and my car is back in tip top shape!

Andy from Barrons Auto was an excellent mechanic to work with who remained flexible and transparent about any issues. It has been a good exchange and I plan to return for any car needs.

Would highly recommend Barrons!! While visiting Marquette, my check engine light came on and even with gas floored wouldnt go faster than 30mph. Every place I called was 2-4 weeks out. Began to worry knowing I was supposed to be leaving the next day. Went by Barrons after reading other promising reviews and not only did he squeeze me in, find the issue and fix, but he also followed up a few days later to make sure everything was running smoothly. Super appreciative of Barrons for helping me out and getting me back on the road!!

Called 8 shops before I finally landed on this one, they were tremendous help and had me back on the road within a couple hours.. Definitely saved my vacation!

My daughter, who is a student at NMU needed to travel back home 4 hours and the car was unsafe to drive as it needed new bearings. Barron’s was able to squeeze her car in and get it fixed so she could make it back safely. I can’t thank them enough for their quality work, integrity and compassion by going above and beyond to get the car back on the road. Highly recommend!!!!

Came up to Marquette for vacation and my truck broke down on a Friday evening. called first thing Monday morning to see if they could get me in, and talked with Andy. Andy told me they were booking out 4 weeks, which obviously wouldn’t work for me being on vacation. Rather than tell me he couldn’t get me in, Andy asked what the issue was. Once he knew what was wrong with the truck, he told me he would work it in throughout the day in between jobs and get it back to me in a day. He called to update me on the issue, and offered the total fix as well as an option that would get the truck running and get me home safely to save me some money. He emphasized that he wanted to get the truck done quickly so I could have it while on vacation. This is probably the best customer service I’ve ever received from a shop, and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Thank you for getting me back on the road in a timely fashion!

Barrons Auto Repair is great place to take your car for any problems. Keith has been nothing but helpful, understanding and flexible on all of our car issues since we first started going to him over a year ago.Theyve garunteed us as long-time customers with their reliability, great prices and fast services. Out of all the garages in the Marquette area, Barrons is the only one I will go to, as well as the only one I will recommend to family and friends.

Took my car in because the my engine overheating light went on. They decided to look at it and fix it up in the same day. Turned out my engine wasn’t actually overheating but that the thermometer sensor wasn’t working, and so they got the replacement parts and fixed it the same day, and I haven’t had a problem with the sensor ever since.

Barron’s auto has been a trusted mechanic that I have used in my 4 years at NMU. Heard of them on google reviews and I truly lucked out. Having a mechanic you can trust helps ease the headache of car repairs. I always suggest them when a friend when they are in need of repairs.

Called in the morning and they got to our Jeep that same day. Very reasonable price (a.k.a. what I would pay just about anywhere..no overcharges) for a new alternator and been running perfect for the last six months since the repair. Great shop to work with.

Outstanding service from this shop. My alternator died while I was up in Marquette over Labor Day. Explained the situation to Keith. He kept me informed & had my car repaired in no time. Would recommend to anyone in the area needing service.

My wife and I were traveling through and had car problems are breaks is seems like they were seizing up every shop in town was booked for a week but these guys were able to fit Us in within 24 hours and had us back on the road I couldnt be more grateful and it was a reasonable price and I was happy with the service we made it home safe great all-around

These guys are the best. I called to get my a squeak in my car looked at, the guys at Barrons Auto Repair said I could drop it off and they would look at it that night or I could set up an appointment the next week. I was heading downstate the next week so I opted to drop it off.2 hours later they gave me a call saying a belt was bad and a tensioner. They then said that they could take care of it that night. I was very happy to hear that. Another few hours later they said it was all set. I said I would pick it up the next day due to being at work that night. I told them I would pick it up at 3 the next day. We arrived at 315 my car was cleared of snow after a pretty heavy storm and running, warming up for me.They were polite, fast and gave me a fair price even though I didnt know anything about cars. Anytime from now on Im taking my car to Barrons. Theyre my guys.

On two different occasions now Ive gone to other auto repair shops in town and had them give me a misdiagnosis of what was wrong with my vehicle before fixing it. But not Barrons! They always pinpoint the issues perfectly, and most importantly, actually resolve them. Its a small tucked away shop, but dont let that fool you. The quality of work they do is unrivaled. Definitely my go to from here on out.

Im from out of town, and these folks did everything they could to get me back on the road as soon as possible when others couldnt get me in for a week. I had the stabilitrac sensor and traction control sensors showing up, plus it coded for an O2 sensor. They fixed the O2 sensor, but it idled rough and didnt code for stabilitrac or traction control. They found a plug wire arching on the block that was causing the electrical shorts. Awesome job and thanks.

Car started smoking on Sunday, called around on Monday, and Keith was able to get me in on Tuesday. He didnt charge for looking it over because he said he didnt want to charge for bad news, that my head gasket was getting into the later stages of bad. I was going out of town for a week the next day, and this was over Christmas as well, and he was very accomodating, charging 1/3 of the estimate as a down payment and storage fee to keep the car around for so long. It did take a few days longer than expected, but they worked after hours and communication was fantastic. Very much a small-town type operation, with all the good and bad that comes with it: theyre a small shop, but friendly and helpful and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need.

My girlfriend and I have been going to Barrons for years and weve had several situations where it takes much longer than they said it would for jobs to be complete, theyve tried over charging us, and not returned our calls for days while our vehicles are in their care. Today they quoted my girlfriend $232 for a new battery. For some reason shes going to give Keith another chance, but I would never return after the number of times they have been unsatisfactory.

Unless youre just getting an oil change, but thats a used vehicle for you I guess, eh?... they do good work tho and Keith uses top quality parts! Also willing to give a local ride if needed when dropping off! Ive had another mechanic for over a decade but would go back to keith if my guy wasnt available!

They were incredibly nice and quick with very decent prices. My car randomly began overheating one day so I brought it in with no notice and they immediately took a look at it. I know almost nothing about cars, but they didnt treat me like Im an idiot, despite my pathetic explanations of what was happening. I was very happy would recommend them
