Chris and I have been on this crazy journey ever since he was hit by a car while on his motorcycle. The impact from the accident left Chris with an amputated foot. This is a guy that ran everyday. He competed in triathlons, Iron Man contests. So, anyone could imagine how difficult this is/was for him. We’ve had the good, the bad, and the ugly when it came to doctors, nurses, healing, infection, all of it. After a year and some months Chris finally was getting fitted for his prosthetic. The VSA team is amazing! Chris is walking again!!!I have learned so much the past year and a half. I also know that Chris could have been walking six months before he actually did. I want to lobby for VSA to be involved in the very first surgery of amputation. It would have saved Chris from many surgeries and many months without walking. Their expertise in what an amputation needs for fitting a prosthetic. We spent months and months healing his leg just to have another surgery (11th surgery) to fix the mess the trama surgeon left him with. I hope one day prosthetic doctors are part of amputations.I want to thank Dr. Chen and his team for all they do.Thank you so much! I know Chris is in good hands!💜

In August 2020 I was diagnosed with Charcot of the right foot, my joints had broken down and my bone structure had shifted. I was in a CROW boot from September 2020 till February 2021, where the boot constantly scraped the side of my ankle cause an open wound that just got bigger and more infected. I first saw Eric and Chad at the beginning of February and they walked me through everything during my surgeons appointment about what to expect, even showed me the different types of prosthetic legs that could be used and explained which one (vacuum seal is what we went with vs pin lock) would work best with me. Fast forward 2 weeks and my infection got really bad and I was rushed to the ER with severe sepsis and they took my ankle to stop the infection and then a week later after the infection cleared up, finish the full amputation. Even though it wasn’t their time to come in and start talking with me about their portion of the job, Eric and Chad visited me in the hospital between the first and second surgery to see how I was doing. All throughout my hospital stay, they checked in on me, recommended things for me for when I got home that would make things easier, and had this aura to them as coming to you as a friend and not one of your “stiff doctors”. You could tell they cared. When finally seeing them in their office, they were extremely nice, very professional, answered any question I had and motivated me to keep moving on and pushing through and that my day would come. Scott worked with me on measurements and just all around everything in the office and was amazing. They got me what I needed, and when it came time to try out the test prosthetic before building the actual one, I had enough confidence to walk down the double bars and even do steps with just 1 hand and even 1-2 with no hands. They made sure I was comfortable, worked with me as well in regards to forms my work was burying me with for disability pay and leave of absence. I have nothing but amazing things to say about all of the staff here. I never felt like I was going to the usual appointment where it would be a quick in and out and done and felt like nothing I said was heard. I felt every word I said to them was listened too, suggestions were made based upon these conversations. I’m happy to say as well that I felt so confident because of this team and their continued positive attitude towards my recovery, that when I got home, I stood up out of my wheelchair and used my Walker to walk up my wheelchair ramp, into my house, and across it to my bedroom on DAY ONE of having the prosthetic leg. 100% choose this team if you need any prosthetic work, because they are amazing and make you feel so welcome in their office.-Larry Lanford Jr.

My husband James Green became an amputee in October of 2019. It was a frightening experience for both of us, but upon meeting the team at VSA Prosthetics, they help made my husband’s experience a bit more comfortable. They were ‘SuperFantastic’ in getting my husband mobile again through the technology of a prosthetic where he is able again to have a normal life. They have serviced the Marietta, Ga community and surrounding areas located on the grounds of Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. ——James & Debra Green

Eric is an awesome Prosthecist and a wonderful man. Hes thorough and hes patient. In the last 3 years, Ive had shrinking and swelling of both stumps and an open area on the right knee which didnt heal for a long time. Eric and his staff tweaked and modified my prosthetics, keeping me comfortable and mobile while I healed. They even referred me to a specialist to verify the health and strength of the bones in my right knee. Today, thanks to the professionalism of the VSA Prosthetics team, Im well and comfortably mobile. I recommend them highly!
