Carlos was very efficient and knowledgeable in his free assessment. There was a mix up with my email address so I had to call next morning to ask them about estimate. The email mistake was understandable.When I called them and received the invoice, I could hardly hear the young lady talk because she had me on speaker phone and there was a lot of background conversation going on in the office. I asked if they gave a military discount and she actually laughed at me and said she would check with someone. She came back and said they will give me a 2.5 (two and one half) percent. We scheduled the work and she asked if I wanted help to make the payment at this time. I said no, I would pay them when they got here to do the work. She called back 2 minutes later and said in order to proceed they required at least 50% of the invoice to be paid now! I told her I would not pay them before they arrived and she said they couldn’t do it. She kept referring to me by my first name which was unprofessional.

Mold Boss performed the following 3 services for me:1) Mold remediation in a utility room which had a slow water drip and appeared to have been previously flooded/with repairs not properly addressed (3 out of 5 stars service)2) Adding cement to make sure water was not coming in from my patio (5 out of 5 stars service)3) Floor/glue removal from old flooring in a room in which I planned to install tile. (5 out of 5 stars service)I interacted with Terrance who gave me the quote, a scheduler, several workers, and a manager.I had already removed a majority of the wet/moldy drywall myself before I contacted this company to finish the remediation, but did find value in someone doing a professional cutting of the remaining needing to be removed drywall, spraying the needed areas, and purifying the air.Pros:Terrance was very informative during the initial consultation and answered any questions I had. he was easy to work with when I contacted him for the follow up floor work. The quote was quickly put together after the initial visit. Since I was a small project, scheduling me to fit into a tight schedule was easy. The 3 people who came to my home to finish removing/cutting the remaining drywall were nice and professional. Air purifying machines were run for 24 hours.The independent contractor who came to scrape the glue/floor did an amazing job and was extremely informative.Cons:Terrance had a salesman like personality and made borderline sexist comments in the sense of Just do what the wife wants.Additionally, I was originally told this was around a 2 day project, so I was originally happy when the company said they were dune after 24 hours passed. After a service worker arrived to pick up the purifying machines and said they were done, I inspected the remediated area.1) Clean-up was poor/rushed. There were pieces of moldy drywall on the floor and in the water heater pan.2) The company performed a flood cut of the infected area, but clear spots of black mold were still visible to the naked eye on uncut drywall. I am glad that I did not pay this company to do the drywall work, because they would have just probably covered this up before I had a chance to catch it.After I called and spoke to the manager, the company performed additional cutting/clean-up and spraying and the area did look better. Air purifying machines were not rerun after the second set of work was performed.Overall, I do recommend this company, but strongly advise of performing a high level inspection of any work they perform.Edit:I am slightly confused by the reply for the following reasons:1) The issue was that the work was done faster than expected in a rushed manner. I am not sure what there were more problems then discovered with the naked eye is referencing. In reality, nothing in excess of what was originally discussed with Terrance was performed. In fact, the black mold discussed above was already exposed by me before MoldBoss cut anything, and it was shown to Terrance during the initial consultation.2) I live in a gated community in which my phone is called to allow any cars to enter. I met everyone who came to my house to let them in. I did not come in contact with a 3rd Party Hygienist during the process. On the second day, only 1 MoldBoss employee person came to my house to pick up the equipment. This same employee came back to do additional cutting and cleaning. Maybe you have me confused with another project?3) I had not yet moved into the home and was still living in my apartment. I was completely fine being out of the home as long as needed. I was in a rush to get an early availability because I was talking with a drywall/paint contractor and didnt want to delay his schedule. I highly prefer quality over speed of service.

What can I say?? Mold Boss saved the day. We were selling our home and the home inspector noticed a mold problem in our crawl space. We had received several estimates and even though Mold Boss was not the cheapest estimate we had. They seemed to know what they were doing. My dream home had mold throughout the basement discovered during the inspection. I immediately started calling contractors. I had one guy scheduled to come out, but after speaking with Carlos I cancelled my other appointment and brought him in instead. Him and another team member were ready to meet me as early as 7, but I had to do 9 instead. Throughout the inspection and testing he explained everything to me thoroughly - the types of mold he was seeing, what causes them, what happens if it isnt treated, how it affects he air quality in the rest of the house, etc.We got results back that night and there was more work to be done than expected, but the price was reasonable and I trusted his judgment. He assured me I had picked out a good house and this should not hold me back from getting it. I agreed. Once the seller agreed to use Carlos he was able to get into the home the next week despite having a very busy schedule.Carlos was a rock star. He regularly texted photos of the progress and informs me of the daily schedule. He communicates quickly - always replying to a text or picking up the phone call for a detailed discussion.
