Not just for men! Faro trimmed and corrected the $100 pixie cut I got at a salon - for less than 1/2 that! He is a sweet guy, the location is very covid safe. He also taught me some things I didnt know about my hair - like where my part should lie and how to tame my cowlick. I also picked up a nice hair pomade. Very much looking forward to my next visit.

I have lived in multiple areas of LA and this guy is the best. Exactly what you want in a clean and friendly shop with great quality cuts. Would give Faro six stars if I could!

I absolutely love this place. Always a great cut, always a breeze right by the beach. Its like therapeutic! Sometimes there is a line and on busier days its by appointment only, but Ive showed up without an appointment a few times and the owner got me in the chair pretty quickly. You dont have to sacrifice quality for a fast cut!!

Have been here many times and usually a great cut at a fair price in a nice setting but Faro just doesnt do a good job holding appointments. I had one window today to get a cut so called a week in advance to get an appointment. Upon arriving, was told I had to wait behind two folks who were walk ins. Whats the point of a reservation if you dont get your time honored? Felt like a jerk asserting I should go in front of the walk ins (they arent the problem) but thats what a reservation means

Waves Barbershop is the best barbershop in the South Bay...hands down, having tried a couple others before I found Faro’s barbershop. His line cut and beard trim is crafted with perfection, including the full hot towel experience...basically my weekly spa getaway! Literally the best haircut I’ve ever had in my life. I have very fine hair and is incredibly difficult to find a good stylist. Words can’t even describe the attention to detail that goes into each haircut. Faro is the man. Don’t let the word “barbershop” fool you. This guy has 25 years experience and doesn’t mess around.

Im super picky with my haircuts and the quality has been consistently excellent. Faro (owner) is very friendly and makes the whole process enjoyable. The price is very reasonable considering the quality. Parking is always easy to find nearby. Overall, I couldnt recommend this place more.
