I always go to California Nails, I used to think it was excellent service, and my last two visits have officially turned me away from this business. I told my nail tech several times my nails needed to be shorter. She disregarded everything I said, and never made them shorter. My gel polish isn’t even level, it’s clumpy and looks awful. As a customer, I believe they care more about quantity (the amount of customers in and out), instead of quality of every customers nails.

Its wasnt horrible. My nails came out good but there was a few issues.1. Things looked reused, and possibly not sanitizedin between2. They didnt ask me to wash my hands at all.3. I didnt get what I asked for. I wanted transparent nails with glitter. I got solid holographic nails, which isnt the worst as thats my go to, but it wasnt the same as the picture. Ik they do transparent nails bc of review photos4. The pedicure was fine, i just waited a long time after my toes were drying5. Also theres dark spots on my nail in one place, and the acrylic isnt smooth under some nails and there’s bumps on two.Overall my nails looks pretty and arent chunky but I dont think I’ll be going back personally mostly due to the sanitary issue

I took my girlfriend here to get her nails done for the first time and they came out just short of awful. There was a bump in the middle of all the nails so none of them where even or level with her finger, the points where uneven and jagged, and the nails themselves where not made to last at all one of them coming off the very next day. For $40 you really get the bottom of the barrel for what you pay for

I loved it....read positive reviews b4 I booked online appointment which was easy to book she had me sign in upon arrival looked over current state of my nails and advised that on next visit would need to remove them and redo...I agreed next time would be a great time for that...tech worked really hard on design that I wanted and achieved it...really happy with outcome

My daughter and I came in for full sets and we’re so incredibly dissatisfied with our nails! I’ve been getting my nails done for almost 20 yrs and This is by far the worst set I’ve ever had. Both our techs rushed, my daughter’s tech wasn’t paying attention almost cut her finger, kept getting up and completely distracted. Her nails are different shapes and not the length she asked for and simply look awful. They didn’t listen to what we wanted and didn’t take their time. Their full set price is cheap compared to other places but now I know we got what we paid for. I’ll be sure to go elsewhere with these nails as a perfect example of what NOT to do. I feel bad to anyone who keeps going back, clearly they have no idea there are places much better than this chop shop!!

I went for a fill/new design and brought my Daughter & her best friend (both of whom had never gotten their nails done professionally) Not only were all the techs super sweet/made sure the girls were comfortable, but they also went above & Beyond to replicate the nail design i wanted ( i brought a pic in off my phone) they were great! Well DEFINITELY be going back when its time for a fill!

Clean, friendly, several stylists helped figure out the color I wanted when it was painted it looked different and they were quick and ready to help. I have a little bit of paint on my skin from the polish but other then that it was a great experience. Will go again and recommend. The prices are also great.

My nails always look amazing, every time i leave the salon. They dont break, chip, fall off; instead they look fantastic. Prices are good, service amazing and everyone that works here is very nice.

It was one of my worse experience in that place, the acrylics are extremely thick and bumpy, she did not cut my cuticles or did anything only applied them, asked for a color she spoke to me rudely as we dont have never going there again NEVER!!

This is the second time in 6 months that I went for a pedicure and got an infection. The first time around, the tech wcut me a tiny bit and I just blamed it on being unlucky when it got infected. This time, the tech was very rough and pulling skin off both my big toes and now both are extremely red and irritated. I’ve been going here regularly since I moved to Manchester 4 years ago but I definitely won’t be back.

I decided to give them a try the day after Christmas since my normal Salon was closed for whatever reason and lets just say I wish I had saved my money and waited for my own Salon to open !! Not only was the place disgustingly dirty and taking almost no covid-19 precautions but my nails are hideous .. extremely thick and deformed .. all different sizes .. dented in some areas because acrylic isnt placed evenly .. not filed properly on top or underneath nails and here we are not even a week later and now they are already lifting from the nail bed and I have to go for a fill already !! For an acrylic set 2 not even last a week is INSANE !!!

They do not check to see if the nails are the same length. You ask for a shape and they only know round or square. I have 3 crooked nails and and when I showed the nail tech she told me it was the angle I was looking at it. They leave nail glue on your finger. And if you use dip - be prepared to walk out with your fingers tainted.

Why is it when you go in for a pedicure they spend all their time rubbing your legs rather than massaging your feet? Hopefully the next time I go I’ll be able to give a good review

Terrible.Came in for a pedicure and dip nails. Pedicure was only about 17 minutes long. Dip nails were absolutely terrible, they were all different lengths and shapes. I had to ask multiple times to make them shorter, i had to ask to make them the same length, i had to ask them to fix the shape, in the end someone else had to come over and fix them. My nails look better now but they are still not all the same length. Told me it was ok to put shoes on and my toe nail polish smudged. And on top of that the place was dirty and they are taking almost zero precautions for covid.Definitely dont reccomend.

Traveled to Manchester from Boston and let me tell you it was so worth I went and got ombré nails for the first time and Philip did them PERFECTLY!!! he didn’t rush took his time and I love them so much. Will definitely be coming back to see him... ombré nails and gel pedicure.

Great experience and quality service at competitive prices! I dont get my nails or toes done often and Ive been searching for a good place. I think I found it. I remembered they had fixed a hack job on my nails before my wedding almost five years ago. So I walked in on a Sunday (one of the few places open Sundays)for a pedicure and observed a few people ahead of me. They were very well staffed and I was quickly brought to a a chair. The pedicure was great, she spent a good amount of time just massaging my feet. She did my paint quick and it looks beautiful. The price was competitive and well worth it especially compared to other places!

I went in and got a full set of white tips. They tips look good, but the lady did them way too short and my thumb nail is SLANTED. When I asked it be fixed she said nothing is wrong. I wouldn’t recommend going here.

Service was terrible from the moment we walked in. Waited longer than our appt time, and was completely rushed! Pedicure was awful, massage awful as that’s the best part. Nail polish was all over my toes I specifically had to ask to clean it off! Then the worst part was getting my manicure. The man was extremely rough cutting my cuticles I had to ask him multiple time to stop, as he was literally ripping my cuticles off. All in all I would not recommend this place at all!!

Messy, sloppy and ugly job on my Mani and pedi, dont know what happened to California nails but they do not do a good job anymore. I use to recommend to everyone I knew. Now I wont recommend to anyone. Dont waste your time or money. I had to tell the lady to put the top coat on and she said she forgot. Nail polish was dry and bumpy. Even there fish tanks were disgustingly dirty with no fish. They were so pretty and clean, relaxing to look at. That place looks like its about to shut down and go out of business.

I made an appointment to get my nails done there for the first time and I waited in my seat for 35 minutes. I got dip powder. My nails barely lasted 2 weeks. One chipped easily and the glue on the other nails came off the tips of nails so the only thing holding my nails on is the dip powder. Another nail broke off completely.

Go somewhere else. I’ve been here a few times, in hopes it would get better. It did not. $45 for dip manicure, ridiculous. The guy cut my fingers from drilling too hard on SIX OF MY FINGERS. There was blood, and he refused to be gentle. He also continuously got up and worked on other people, mid dipping and mid filing my nails. Ridiculous. Go somewhere else where they won’t cut your skin.

I dont know how California Nails used to be but I find that they have the friendliest staff of any nail salon Ive ever been to and they do a fantastic job!. Other salons I had to return every two weeks and now can stretch it out to nearly 3 weeks.As a matter of fact, call me crazy, but I like this place so well that I drive from Concord to Manchester for their service.Fantastic job you guys! This is one of the worst nail salons ever is terrible they did my nails horribly & changed the price about 3 times they were giving attitude and even asked me to leave a tip they charged me $75 for short nails that fell off within a week this is not somewhere you should go! I prefer VIP NAILS they even offer free wine & snacks while you get your nails done

My mom and I have come to this salon for years but there’s no problem with my nails or the staffs at all. I always have my nails with Phillip and he does the great job. My spa pedicure always look great with the staffs out there.

I went to California Nails for years. I thought they had great service, did great work, and the prices were extremely reasonable. In the last year or so, I have noticed big changes. The manager is not there nearly as often. Instead, the place is full of new employees who spend more time looking at their phones or hanging out in the lobby couches than they do keeping the place running smoothly. The manicures are always bubbly and peel within a day or two. Most recently, I went on a Monday to get a shellac manicure. By Friday, all of the shellac had peeled in sheets off each nail. I was out of state so I went back the next Monday to ask for my money back. They said they could not accommodate me. They said they could repaint my nails but since the occasion for which I had manicured my nails had passed, I didn’t need them repainted. They said if I had come back sooner they could have fixed it. My opinion is that 1) I was out of state and returned asap, 2) a shellac manicure shouldn’t peel in 4 days, no matter what, and 3) I explained that I spend on average $1k a year there and they should be happy to refund $25 for a bad manicure. They would not so they have lost my business.

Well, I don’t know where to start but I loved this place about a month ago and that was only because I had one specific person I liked (after giving others chances) and his name is Tommy. He did a perfect job, communicated endlessly and wanted the best treatment for my nails. Now, however I have been unhappy with this place since he’s moved. I’ve tried them twice and my nails have come out HORRIBLE. they are now ruined, and gross looking. They even blamed me for complaining about their horrible job. Not to mention, everyone around me was not happy either. I do not recommend this place at all. It’s a waste of time and money.

Some pros:-after the water was too hot the first time the woman asked me if the towels were too hot each time and asked if the water was okay two times intermittently.-the nail polish was put on quickly and neatly-they charged me exactly what the lady said it would be up front.-my skin now feels amazing-The lady who did my nails was very friendly and the man who painted my nails was also high spiritedSome Cons-She cut the cuticle of one of my nails too much and it bled a little and stinged a lot-The person I was with got the deluxe package and I got the middle grade one and we finished at the same time and her lady was less friendly. She was obviously pushing to get out because they closed an hour before their posted time.I personally had a good time but the person I was with was not satisfied. She said last time there was an older woman there who did her pedicure and it was spectacular, which is why she came back. I hope this place finds some consistency!

The staff are very friendly! I broke my nail and rushed over without an appt, and the gentleman working not only fixed my nail, but made it look even better than what it looked like before! And to top it all off, he didnt even charge me to fix the nail! They have a great color assortment, and prompt service. I was in and out in 30 minutes. ☺️☺️☺️

I used to go there with my mother for years... They used to be fantastic... when the owner and his wife were there. The last time i went there, i had someone new do my nails. To be honest ive never had someone be so rough and actually hurt me there. Even seeing me flinching and saying ow to the pain, the guy said nothing to me, but instead said something to one of his co-workers... that obviously i could not understand. I have now been going else where and have paid cheaper for a full set and have had a staff that laughs with the customers and truly cares for their customers.

This is hands down the worst nail salon Ive ever been to. The polish job on my manicure is horrendous, I had to come home and clean it up with an addtional top coat to try to disguise the bumps and uneven polish. There were air bubbles and lint in my shellac, and when I pointed it out to the nail technician and asked if she could fix it she pretended she couldnt see the bumps. I honestly was disappointed about paying money for this hack job. My nails look so sloppy. Please dont waste your money here, youd have a better outcome doing your own nails. The salon was als filthy and poorly kept.

The worst. They pushed and pushed to upsell me to dip after insisted on gel. They spent 10 min saying ok, so I pick dip, over and over. I picked my color. Solid with sparkle ontop, they told me it would be $10 extra dollars for the sparkle. Bc that is 2 shades. They where rude, unwelcoming, and pushy. This was my first time going there. I will not be back. I went to elite Nails down the street, got what I asked for for much less. There is alot of places to choose from in manchester, I would not recommend this place.
