Indoor pool, tennis courts & location are the only good things to say about this complex. Walls too thin and creepy neighbors on all sides.. Full disclosure we moved away from this place over 7 years ago but we still refer to them as the garbage homes.
Dont bother the place is a dump!! We lived there for a year and they tried to charge us for our apartment after we left and they had it rented already. And we paid for 3 months we werent there. They are a very shady management company. When we rented they showed us an apartment that was totally different than the one we lived at
Ive been looking out for open places around here and compared to what it used to be, its so overpriced. Its not worth how much theyre asking for. Their rules are ridiculous as well.
Former resident at the location and not using my real name. Management of the facility does not care a great deal. People across the street would rev their engine on their car at all times of the day and night and management would not care when you call them and they just basically ignore you. Other drivers are speeding on the road where all the driveways and parking spaces are and basically jumping over the speed bumps. When it snows, you can get stuck as they delay in the plowing or poor plowing is crazy. When you call the office, they are often rude and just become snippy if you have a complaint. We keep a clean place and when we had a bug problem, we called the office but when the fix crew came, they did not do much. I did a better job with a can of Raid. I can go on and one with the issues. I still know people that live there and they tell me it is still the same issues.
I had originally posted a good review for Wellington Hill Apartments. That was when we first moved in. Unbeknownst to me we have had MOLD in our guest bedroom in the Suffolk style apartment. The day I saw the mold on the wall I reached out to the office with this information and it took me three times calling, leaving voice-mails, and sending emails with photos to even get some out 5 days later. Maintenance agreed this was likely a foundation leak and said they were looking into a solution. 2 months later I had to call and email again reminding them that we still had a mold issue and it was now causing my Asthmatic S.O. respiratory issues. We purchased a air purifier to try to help the air quality in the room. After another month of trying to have the issue addressed they offered to clean the carpet and wipe down the wall. After trying to set up a call to discuss this with the property manager I was directed to the regional manager. She informed me this was just mildew and common across all of their properties. We were offered the chance to transfer apartments which we are currently in the process of. While I would love to move out of this community all together this was our only option as we had just renewed our lease when we thought they were going to be fixing the issue. Now we are being charged extra in rent as well as extra pet fees to transfer. Please DO NOT move here. They are not fixing this mold issue and after reading more reviews this is not an uncommon issue in this community. They do not provide safe healthy apartment homes.
Even 1 star is way to many for those guys. The worst complex we ever lived at.Spent here almost 3 years, had to move out becuse of the mold in kids bedroom.Be aware of Wellington Hill...Horrible experience 😪
Apartments themselves are nice, but maintenance doesnt seem to fix issues, and when they say they will come back to finish a job they never do. The walkways never get salted and are always covered in ice. Utilities are extremely high and conveniently for the utility companies in the winter time the air is cut off downstairs and all hot air comes from the upstairs while the thermostat is downstairs. This causes the air to always be running because the downstairs is always cold. The cool air all comes from downstairs so its never cool upstairs. This was confirmed by multiple neighbors as well. Maintenance will come and look at the central air and say its working as expected while my utilities are through the roof. Again the apartments themselves look nice and the area is nice, but I would not recommend this because of maintenance and insanely high utility costs.
We have lived at Wellington Hill for three years and this week we had our first mouse problem, which shouldn’t happen to begin with! Not only did they tell us we had to wait two days for pest control but they told me they would send maintenance and they never showed up. Absolutely unnerving to do to loyal residents who have had nothing but good things to say up until this. Don’t bother living here- they do not care about you or if you’re living in a mouse infested den.
I had a bad review here 2 years ago and it seems to have disappeared. I will make this review short. I had a 1 bedroom apartment. The apartments are to expensive. The snow removal is ridiculous. You can be woken up as early as 7 or 8 A.M. with people banging on your door. My car was towed when I was on vacation because it was in the way. They didnt seem to care. I was on the top floor and it was super hot all summer long. The electric bill can be pretty pricey in the summer. Make a good decision before leasing an apartment is all I can advise.
Great place. Sure you can probably find cheaper, but the location and the fact that it is a townhome with your own parking spaces in front of your place is well worth it. I am in a place with no garage and when my lease is up I am going to transfer into a place with a one car garage. Great place to stay until I decide to buy a home. Staff is nice and friendly and havent had any issues with my neighbors.
Love Wellington Hill and Love the staff. I am a little surprised about the reviews in reference to the office as I have had nothing but great interactions with the entire team. Maybe someone isnt getting their own way and not happy with the policies and take it out on the staff? Possible, however my personal experience has been nothing but positive. As for towing, yes, cars who park outside the parking rules and regulations will get towed, if you dont want to get towed, park in your space. Plowing, now of course we would all love to wake up in the morning and have our spaces perfectly cleared out and no snow but this is NH and in NH sometimes we get a LOT of snow. Their contractors do a great job even with the residents who do not move when they are supposed to. Reviews are crazy, 6 of one and a half a dozen of the other. Do yourself a favor and go and meet with the great ladies in the office and make your own decision. I am sure you will be very happy you did.
Our experience has been great. The staff has been wonderful to deal with by email, phone or when we have been talking to them in person. Compared for all the places we have looks this was the most family friendly.
I see quite a few reviews that are negative about Wellington and I have to say firsthand I have had nothing but a great experience here. The management team has been nothing but courteous and polite when I go into the office and the maintenance crew is also very polite and helpful. I can only imagine that the people who give the negative reviews just didnt get their way on something or another and again can only speak for myself but I have been her for just over a year and have nothing but positive experiences with my apartment and all of my interactions with any staff members. I feel like in todays day and age not enough go online to give good reviews but only to go online and complain so I wanted to give my honest positive feedback that again I love my home. Thank you Wellington Hill staff for making this old gal feel welcome and enjoy my home.
Everybody complaining about management and what not, do what I did before moving here. Move to Rochester, $700 a month all utilties. Parkings great as nobody has a license. Downside of rochester is all the needles I found lying around, landlord said st least the caps were on. You could save a load of money by cutting cable and watching the ODs and stabbings in your apartment building.Wellington Hills 5/5 needles.Rochester 0/5 needles.
The reviews for the Wellington Hills team and facilities are very misleading because this group is top notch. Anytime Ive needed help, have questions or anything for that manner Lisa and team were right there to assist me without any hesitation. I can only assume the reviews which are not favorable are due to the residents and problems they have brought on themselves. I would recommend this place to anyone!
Very nice apartments in a very nice and quiet location. The reviews Ive read across different sources seem very skewed about this place. The apartment I got was a 1BR and it is HUGE and very clean for its price compared to any other place I checked out. They even let you paint the walls as long as you prime them on your way out.I cant stress the quiet location with nice wooded views enough. I dont really feel like I live in Manchester even though downtown and shopping areas are less than 10 minutes away. Overall, very happy with this place.
I have dealt with the office a few times now, and have never had anything but a positive experience. I live in the apartment buildings at the bottom of the hill, and it is great. Before renewing my lease my girlfriend and I shopped around to different apartments around and outside of Manchester. Suffice it to say we signed a renewal and are happily staying for another year. The price is lower than comparable units in Manchester, the price is lower even after it was raised upon renewal (most places do this). The unit is larger both in the living room and bedroom, and it is in great shape, both due to the maintenance team preparing it for tenants and because my girlfriend and I make the effort to keep it clean and in working order. Most negative things Ive heard have been from the townhouses up the hill. Ive been in the units, and they are similar to the apartments in style but are definitely more well used I think. Regardless, it cant be the same people that the complaints are describing, even with dumb questions Ive been treated well by everyone at the office.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!! Renting from this association was the worst experience of our life. The apartment was not cleaned prior to us moving in, and it states it will be right in the lease. During Hurricane Sandy, our window leaked massively and rain was coming right into our apartment. The maintenance guys wouldnt come out, so we had to wait until the next day. They tore our ceiling out, leaving exposed BLACK MOLD. We were told they would get around to fixing it... The carpet was stained and never came clean. We had multiple problems with the appliances NOT working and also the shower wouldnt come on...the maintenance guy who came to look at it told us it was old, that was all. The dryer also didnt work AT ALL. They couldnt fix that, it was old. Our AC didnt work at all, and the guy who came to look at it told us it was OUR fault for putting it ON. It wasnt fixed at all. The drafty windows made us pay out more in heat, plus the 1,200 per month for rent. I called the office because the leaves and debris outside of our unit were up to my KNEES and I asked that someone please maintain this. I was snubbed by the manager and told that it would be seen too. I had to call three times and was spoken too rudely. I could go on...but you get the picture and PLEASE DONT LEAVE HERE
Do you like snow removal? Then dont live here! 12 hours after the snow stopped and still a mountain sat in front of my drive way. Called in spoke with someone rude and could care less about the fact I had to go see a doctor and go to work. Was told to call an ambulance. They think because you live here, that they have control over you and are not accommodating to your needs, regardless if it is urgent or emergent. A lease renewal is unlikely.
I lived in Wellington hill for a long time. Mostly it was a great place. Little to no complaints. The issue was my lease was modified during my tenure of about 7-8 years. This resulted in the removal of a lease cancellation option and replaced it with a lease surrender if you did not elect month to month or one of the home buying contracts. This meant that in order to leave instead of paying two months rent and losing the security, you had to pay the duration of your lease while they looked for new tenants or find someone to sublease. The staff, who had been pleasent before, laughed at my situation knowing that it was going to cost me an extra $4k-$5k to leave the apartment to buy my new condo. It was not a pleasent experience.
Overall I am very happy with this place. We have lived here for 2 years now, its a quiet area with places to walk my dog and take my Daughter. Lisa in the office is very rude but Amy is amazing! Maintenance has never been an issue for us they are prompt and fix problems for us. I feel like people get angry and write reviews, so they are terribly skewed from reality. They have updated the outsides of the buildings with new siding, and gave me a new oven no problem when mine was having issues. It is a nice place to live and we have had little to no issues.
This is the worst place I have ever rented from. The office staff is rude, the maintenance crew are hack jobs, the apartments are out dated, the carpet is horrible, there is trash everywhere and the rent is over price for quality of life. Dont believe me do a search and you will find many others that feel the same way I do. I cannot wait until my lease is up.
I do not live here, however I did go in for a tour and that was enough for me. The woman in the office was not thorough at all. We never saw the indoor pool, fitness center or anything else. We only were shown the outdoor pool as we were walking by. The tennis courts are being taken down to add parking which is a bummer. Would not move here. The apartments didnt seem very nice and and the tour was a joke.
Been a great experience since i first walked through the door! When i was first looking for a place i checked out their townhouse first before i looked anywhere else..for me it was about a month process to check the surrounding area for places..everytime i called to ask a question they had no problems answering and even showed the townhouse a second time just because..ive been living here for a year and a half now..i did not move in with a dog but made it clear i would be getting one..Lisa, Shauna and amy were grat when it came to helping me to make sure we got the right dog! Anytime there is snow it is cleaned up and taken care of most likely while your at work which is also convenient..if there is any problems or simple things like a light bulb you give them a call at the office and they take care of it.The neighborhood is great havent had any problems and everyone seems very nice.I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO LIVE!
This place is a JOKE. I rented here back when it was equity residential and once dawn homes took over they did a HUGE mistake of keeping the same RUDE unprofessional staff (aside from maintenance) I wouldnt live in this place not even if I was there for FREE. The office Manager Lisa is so disrespectful and unprofessional she needs to go back and get a customer service refresher until she is in office this place is going DOWNHILL. Recently my ex husband was looking to move to this location on his own and he was DENIED residing here because of a BAD review I wrote LOL this is how this place functions its sort of funny the extent this place would go not to mention my previous review here was deleted and they pledge it does not get deleted yeah. ok. Beware of residing in this horrible place. This is far beyond luxury when you encounter this staff. They do NOTHING other than think they are down talking on you. This staff needs a serious SHAKE UP and the people down In corporate needs to realize the amount of residents that leave DUE TO THEIR STAFF which is why for the most part they have vacancies all the time. Get it together Dawn Homes. I am sure this is grounds for a lawsuit denying someones application due to a bad review which is currently being pursued!. what a joke.
Terrible Management!!!We have had nothing but issues here with Lisa and her staff. We have not even lived here a year! When we moved in, we were told that our garage door was going to get replaced because the whole bottom of it is caved in and is very hard to close and lock. They could care less and still have not replaced it, then our toilet from 1985 decided to leak and flood the bathroom, which leaked through the ceiling into our kitchen and now the ceiling is all yellow and discolored. It has been over two months and no one has come to paint over it like they said they were going to.Our biggest issue was with our dog...The staff was very aware of us looking to get a dog, we adopted an amazing pup from Arkansas just to be told that we couldnt have him in the town homes. The staff kept saying he was a certain type of breed that was on the no-no list, which he wasnt, then they wouldnt even send us a copy of the list so we could prove them wrong, I had to make up a fake email and email the staff just to get the damn list! It was an annoying battle all because Lisa thinks she is a Veterinarian along with her job in Management as well. We had to get the Vet and adoption agency from Arkansas into the whole mess as well. Our most recent issue was with Rent, my b/f got a new job and for some reason his checks were not being directly deposited into his bank account and he ended up not clearing the last rent check. They dropped off a notice on Friday the 5th (in the afternoon) when my boyfriend was already at work (he works second/third shift) well apparently if you dont get a cashier check and drop it off by Friday the 5th by midnight, they charge you an extra $75 on top of the $35 fee for your check not clearing!!! Its absolutely ridiculous! talk about robbing you for all your worth. Unfortunately we still have quite a few months to go on our lease and I could care less if they see this review. Very, very rude staff!DONT LIVE HERE!
Do not rent from Wellington hill. The office staff is rude and misinforming. The rent is way to high for what you get. You have to have any visitors park down the street or behind your parking spot, behind the white line. God forbid your a little over the line you get towed. If you park in an empty apartment spot, you get towed. If you pull up too close to the grass you get towed. If you want any other service other than Comcast forget it. Dont waste your time. Wellington hill gets a kick back from making their apartments exclusive to Comcast. They get paid possibly up to 25000.00 to do so. They will give you a paper in the dos and donts of how to hook up dish service but its literally impossible. Instead of letting you know you cant have a dish for cable they will let you sit around all day waiting to be told you cant have a dish. You cant put a pole in the ground, no dish in the front or side of the property, no exposed cable lines, you cannot alter the already present cable line to put new service in, you cannot tie down, clamp or screw down a tripod stand to the deck or railings. You need flat wire that will run through the windows but again you cant have any cable lines showing. Any tenant who has had service with direct tv or dish network, the mgmt team is cutting down the poles that already exist for dish service. So those will be pretty angry tennants who have had there service for years being forced to have Comcast. The women in the office are rude and could care less about people. Dont live there. Oh and I will say Ive never rented from them, my daughter has and its been a joke since shes been there.
I have lived in many different places, and I have to agree with the others... WELLINGTON HILL IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER RENTED FROM. The Management is extremely rude, especially Lisa. Whoever gave Lisa a promotion to Manager was not thinking straight that day! She looks down on everyone, and she thinks she is so much better than everyone. I would honestly have to say she is the rudest person I have ever met in my life. I think the first step the owners of Wellington Hill/Dawn Homes should do to better their company, and make their Tenants happier is demote Lisa from Manager. Besides the issues everyone I speek to, and including myself have with Lisa, the Units are way to over priced for what you get. We pay $1200.00 a month, (and if you are late 1 day passed the 5th you recieve a $75.00 Late Fee, and lose all access to the Clubhouse) and our place is a mess. We have an old styled unit, with cabinets that are falling apart, nothing is updated, the tile in the kitchen is coming up, the rug is disgusting. The rugs are riping up, and have new black mold spots on it every day. My 3 neighbors have all complained about the same issues. There is also insect issues in the units. We have ot get our unit sprayed every other month, and if we dont we have giant spiders all over the place, and pincher bugs as well.... DISGUSTING!!!! There was one time I couldnt sleep in my bed for 3 weeks, because my room was infested with spiders (NO EXAGERATION!). There really is no point to have Maint. come to your unit to fix anything either, because everything they do is a hack job, and will break again within 24 hours. They are by far the laziest group of guys I have ever seen. All they do ALL DAY LONG is drive up and down the street in their work trucks, or their Golf Carts... NO LIE!!!! I wouldt trust them alone in your place either, because they might do things that are not appropriate to discuss publicly... I mean how clean could their places really be??? When... They show their units to people, and when they do the people end up finding a homeless guy drunk, and passed out on the couch in their model unit... Real Professional! I just wanted everyone to know my experience before you decide to live here... If its not to late I would back out, and find somewhere else to rent, because if you Rent from Wellington Hill/Dawn Homes you will regret it! Please take my advice... Thank you for taking the time to hear my story. I hope you take my advice, and look elsewhere to live. Good Luck to you, and God Bless!
Were happy here
Luxury apartments my behind. I have never lived in a cheaper dwelling and had to pay so much. Also, in all my apartment living, I have never had to pay a water bill? Insane. Look elsewhere, please.
