Called beforehand to make sure they were doing state inspections. I got there waited less than a minute. Took my car in and what seemed like a blink of an eye I was done. The staff was very professional from the tech that took my car to the gentleman that handled the payment.

Came for an oil change on a Sunday morning, 2-3 cars were ahead of me and I only had to wait maybe 15-20 mins before it was my turn. Fast service and great workers! I will definitely come back next time I need an oil change. Also was able to stay in my car for the whole time instead of waiting in the waiting room.They have great taste in music too!

Came for a basic oil change on Friday afternoon. Theyre efficient, friendly and helpful. Ill definitely come back here next time I need my oil changed. Cant comment on anything other than oil changes since its the only service Ive received here.

They do not do the appropriate checks, then forge the invoices.Service Team: Javier, Jesus, and Kyle.Just took one of our vehicles to this location. I always double-check mechanic/technician work. We requested a simple oil change. They are required to check all fluid levels, which they did not do, yet marked on the invoice as if they did.As you will see in the pictures below, the work that they performed was done at 3:06 pm, which, at that time, they marked that the engine coolant level was OK. At approximately 5:30 pm, I inspected the vehicle when I put an air filter in myself. It was then that I found the coolant reservoir to be nearly EMPTY. If they had actually checked the work that they said they did, the coolant level would be at or near the FULL mark. This is completely unacceptable. As a paying customer, especially in the automotive field, we rely on technicians and mechanics to perform the work that they said they did and documented.You are getting paid to perform a service! Do the work that you are required to do. I would be VERY upset if there were a serious issue with low coolant or overheating. Now, I had better check the oil filter and gasket myself!Do not use this place!!

I went there initially and after sitting in the waiting room for about 20 minutes, they told me they didn’t have the oil filter for my car because it’s too new. I have a 2020 Kia Sorento. My car isn’t any rare vintage car, lol. I was very surprised at the least. This never happened to me before in my life for coming in for a simple oil change.I came back about 3 weeks later after calling to confirm if they had the oil filter. After my oil was changed, I find out hey didn’t reset my “service required” sign on my dashboard and my tire valve caps were missing....I’ve had my car serviced here before and my experiences were fine before this recent mishaps. I’m not sure if there was a change in management, but they gotta pay more attention to what they’re doing.

I did NOT ask for a new oil drain bolt. They added it on to my oil change and proceeded to sales pitch me ac and steering fluid telling me its way overdue (its not, Im only at 60K). I pay and there it is, they stealth charged me a oil drain purge gasket for $2.99 before tax. I did not get a new oil drain bolt and the picture (still wet from the oil change) included is proof. Unless Valvoline sells paint chipped and rusted oil drain bolts than this location is a scam. I guess they didnt like me using their $5 off coupon from their website. I feel bad for the people getting an inspection from here, because this act is not an oversight, but a clear and deliberate act of scamming a paying customer.

Do NOT let Valvoline Mamaroneck touch your car!! They failed myinspection for a bad obd port and I took it immediately to Rye Subaru and I was in/out in 40 minutes with a PASSED inspection. I asked Rye Subaru if they had any troubles and they said absolutely none. The other Valvoline locations might be just fine but stay FAR AWAY FROM MAMARONECK VALVOLINE. Theyre either bumbling or thieves.

I always like to use this location when I have an opportunity to do so. The staff is polite, diligent in the work performed on your vehicle and also non pressuring when it comes to suggestions about possible maintenance that should be done. I also like that I can get my car inspected here which is not readily available at their other locations...

Quick service, but $100 for an oil change was way over the top expensive! I didnt need synthetic and wasnt told I had a choice of something less expensive.

Really fast and attentive at this location . This crew is so together and efficient they could man as a pit crew at Daytona. Showroom exceptionally clean and social distancing and Covid protocols being followed.

I was told by a neighbor to go to Valvoline for affordable ($40) and quick oil change. They mislead me and talked me into using synthetic oil and changing filters. By bill was over $170. Never again. Shame on them.

Fantastic service! I usually come here for an oil change. Jesus loves his work and always takes the time to not only tell me what he sees in my car, but he explains it to me in terms I can understand and makes sure I am learning from him. I have had good experiences here. The guys are helpful and professional. There can be a long wait, so call before you go to check how busy they are. They could use better time managers to ease the burden on customers and their personnel when there’s a crunch, but prices are reasonable and service is generally fast.

I brought my car here to get inspected. Upon pick up, I was told that my car passed inspection, but I had a brake light out. The manager said he technically should NOT have passed my vehicle because of this but chose to do so anyway to do me (a stranger) a favor. He asked if I wanted one of their employees to replace the light for me (for additional fees), and I said with much discouragement from Valvoline that I would change it at home. When I got home and had my father help me determine which light was out, he told me that all of my lights were on and that Valvoline lied to my face and tried to take more money from me. EXTREMELY unprofessional, bordering on illegal since they admitted they knew they shouldnt have passed my car for inspection and did so anyway. Many red flags, do not go here. You will get lied to, potentially robbed, and maybe in legal trouble.

Each member of the staff was professional, polite and efficient! By far the best Valvoline place around. I had gone to the one on Central Park Ave in the past, but they were rude, slow and pressuring to buy things I did not need.

Pretty easy in and out transaction. My vehicle is fairly new so there isn’t much that needs to be done. I had a Groupon deal so I figured that I would take advantage of that and get an oil change. The workers were pleasant and courteous to deal with. The service was fast and efficient. So with that being said if you are looking for a quick service and out change than this is a place to check out. Not really much to it but that.

I didnt have a good experience here. The 15 min oil change boasted by Valvoline was more in the 60 min range. They spent way too much time talking about my air filter, and showing me that there is clean oil on the stick. Just change the oil and get me out of there! Went to because the maintenance light on the car went off and I was close to their shop. Dont think Ill go back to this one again.

Be warned!!! This place is a rip off, sent my 19 year old son in ti get his oil changed on his acura, they specifically told him that they didnt have the filter in stock, when he said forget it ! The staff told him they already changed the oil, then charged him for synthetic oil and FILTER, yes the one that was not in stock, and to finish it off the old oil was still in the car, all attempts at speaking to a manager and or the owner has gone unanswered..do yourself and your vehicle a favor and fund somewhere else

Have been going there for years and Jose the manager is great. So easy and fast. Its the little things that make this place great like they always check the tire pressure and replenish to the cars recommendation or yours. They take the time to ask, explain, and give examples in great detail of the service they can, will, or have done. Highly recommend you use this place for simple oil changes for easy in and out with out the hassle of going to a mechanic shop.

Valvoline in Mamaroneck is always quick and no nonsense.

Went for an inspection. They said my vehicle failed. But if I paid to get a simple fix then it would pass. But I would have to pay for the failed inspection and then pay again after its fixed. I said no way I will just take it to my mechanic. Then the guy walks in the bay and around to the front and waves me outside. Then he tells me my vehicle passed and i only need to pay for the one inspection. On the way out I said I will never trust the place again and never go back. That’s extremely fraudulent.

Good Location, easily accessible from I-95 and Mamaroneck Ave. It is Handicap accessible and has an ample amount of Free parking. Easy Access to other stores and restaurants in the area.Staff was friendly and helpful. Pricing was good and the attempt to upsell was expected, but minimal. Look online for coupons or try Groupon for your best deals.

I had to get an inspection/oil change done at Valvoline during Spring 2017. Fast forward a couple of months later, I was driving on the Taconic State Pkwy and my car ceased. I was unable to turn my car back on so I had to get my car towed to a gas station/mechanic 30 miles away from my home. It turns out that my oil cap/plug fell off while I was driving on the highway. Every bit of oil leaked out of my engine, therefore, completely frying my engine. Luckily I was not hurt and was driving in the right lane on the highway so I was able to pull over quick enough before my car shut off. I tried claiming these damages under insurance but it was not covered due to faulty oil change work/improperly threading my oil cap back into my car. With that said, it brings me back to my first sentence. If you have to get an oil change, DO NOT get one done at Valvoline. This ended up costing me $3,700 out of pocket to get a new engine. Please do research on mechanic shops because it will cost you BIG TIME if you have incompetent individuals fixing your car.

They stole my boyfriends high end sunglasses and proceeded to tell him his car couldnt be inspected. Maybe they just didnt want their name attached to the inspection or something so they couldnt track who stole the sunglasses. My boyfriend went back to speak to management. They didnt seem surprised, sympathetic nor did they do anything to help recover them. Terrible way to run a business in a small community.

Absolute worst place. They will F U C K your car up and deny responsibility for anything. They love to fool around in the garage while customers wait. Go to Shell across the street when you actually are in a rush: faster, cheaper, more professional.

These geniuses destroyed the threads on my oil drain plug on my brand new car. Luckily I had to get service at my dealer or I probably would have not noticed it for 3k miles and destroyed my engine. Also, I have an old car that I bring there for changes because its close by. When I get the receipt it says in small print at the bottom that my transmission was leaking fluid? They never said anything to me about that luckily I read the whole damn receipt. These guys are wack. Just look in the parking lot. Theyre all ricers.

I took my car here on 4/7/14. They put too much oil in my car. When I got on the highway my oil light started blinking and beeping as soon as I hit highway speeds. After that, it shut off. I pulled over at the next exit and called the shop. They told me to drive back to the shop even though I expressed repeatedly that I was worried about causing further damage. They convinced me to drive back, my engine stalled repeatedly on the way back.Now they are denying responsibility!!Legal battle to follow!!Do not go here!

I went to the mamaroneck valvoline. It was such a horrible experience I want to explain to everyone what happened. I drive a brand new Lexus, I went to get a oil change. First thing the guy told me is that he would give me a discount on anything else that I would need. I explained that I had a Groupon and I just wanted an oil change. He said ok, and came back 10 minutes later and tried to sell me a air filter...hello brand new car you idiot. Then he charged me for extra oil ???? And threatened to call the cops if I didnt pay for extra services I never authorized. Stay far away total scam .

Whenever someone warns you of going to a mechanic you dont know, theyre talking about this place. Do they know what theyre doing? Yes. And they treat you as if you dont. Unless you like spending 2x more than you planned on, find somewhere else.

I have given them so many opportunities, but after the last visit I cannot describe the anger and annoyance I have with this place. I brought my car for a state inspection since it was a month over due, I needed it done quick. So I get there they bring it into the shop, open the front end and walk away for 40mins, to go chat with his buddies outside the shop. Then the guy comes back and states I need a new windshield wiper for the driver side or it wont pass the inspection. I know this was a lie because I had change them in march, both where still fine. So I didnt want to argue and I said change it, I didnt care for the money. Now this was on a Friday, Sunday I drove to my local store I needed milk, and it was raining and had the wipers on, I go into the store, I come out the wiper is all messed up and it appears the part where it locks in was damage. Im not sure its because its cheap or because the idiot mechanic doesnt know how to install wipers. So I go back a day later, to ask to get refunded and the as**ole tells me its impossible for it to have been defective and that I broke it on purpose. I have never encounter such stupidity and ignorance I guess thats why most of these guy dont graduate high school. I have given into given them chances but every time I go there it ends up costing me double. I cannot express how much I hate this place. I have never written a review in my life, but I had to on this one. Im still debating if I should report them to the NYDMV because they dont inspect anything on the car and they find ways to make buy parts or services you dont need. beware, take your cars for an oil change to a real mechanic or even the car washes. This place is a scam and they dont have any knowledge mechanics should have. Unfortunately people who go here dont know much about cars and they become the ideal targets by these scam artists.

I never ever ever write reviews. But this one took me here. Went to this location to get oil changed. They had me sitting there for 20min. And comes to me after 20 mins to tell me they dont have my size filter for my car. I said you had me sitting there for 20min while you all laughing and playing and talking to one another and 2 other guys that work there on the outside coming from where ever. He said I was looking for the filter during that time. I said no I watched you. He said it will be in by Tuesday. I get in my car not only did he leave my car running but he had my AC on in my car with windows rolled down. Then I called Tuesday and I asked did he get the filters in, he said hold I am on other line. Held for 5 min I hung up and called back and I said all I want to know if you received the filters, he said not until Wednesday we get shipment. I just hung up because I was pissed because if I came back when youo told me to I would be just sitting there waiting like Sunday and now my light came on. Will not go to that location ever again! Rude and inconsiderate

If you need a tire rotation make sure you watch them do it. Had a slow leak in my rear left tire before the rotation and now the same leak in the same tire in the same position. Tires never moved
