Super cool. In and out quick. good people

We went to Valvoline for an oil change, and having used Valvoline facilities before, expected great services. All I wanted was an oil change, and the mechanics were courteous, but they did a number on my vehicle. They accidentally drained the transmission fluid instead of my oil. After rectifying that mishap and completing the expected oil change, I was on my way. A little while later, while trying to drive my car out of town, a lot of white smoke starts billowing out of my vehicle. I quickly stop and ask a helpful Jiffy Lube facility to check what is up. They tell me my car is pouring out transmission fluid, the worst leak they had ever seen. After calling numerous mechanics on a Friday afternoon, to find someone to help with my cars transmission, we finally found a place. Luckily they were able to squeeze us in and look things over. Turns out, the Valvoline crew had over filled my transmission fluid by 5 quarts!! Two hours and $89 dollars later, we are able to drive to the wedding we were headed to. Too bad we missed half of it, thanks to the incompetence of the Valvoline mechanics. To say I am disappointed and exhausted with this mishap would be a huge understatement. I am speechless and would really appreciate some help sorting this huge mess out. If someone in customer service could respond, I would love to contact you to discuss this further. Dont ask me for an invoice, they did not give me one. My spouse called the facility to speak with the manager, and the manager offered the complaint line number briskly, no apology, then hung up the phone on my spouse. Great service...if I could give zero stars, I would.

We took our Honda Civic In for an oil change because I didnt have time to do it myself and completly regret it. While I dont expect you folks to be actual mechanics you really need to step your game up. The engine cover/scuff plate was missing all but 1 fastener and the oil filter had been put on so tight that I actually had to damage the old one to remove it. There is no reason what so ever to put an oil filter on that tight. If you cant do the easy things what else are you messing up? I dont expect much from places like this but I do expect a little mechanical aptitude from the people working on my car. Id rather pay a real mechanic more than risk going back here.

Quick, but they splashed oil all over my engine bay as they poured from jugs into my engine through a funnel (my specific oil was not available in the big drums). It was splashing because the jug was being squeezed pretty hard to speed it up. A weird amount of oil even got on my windshield. I didnt realize how much spilled until I checked when I got home. Had I known I would have asked them to clean it better. Very strange, Ive never had this issue at other places.

That must have been the worst job ever. I go to Valvoline with my work truck regularly. Was doing work nearby decided to stop. Didnt check my lights, didnt top off washer fluid and when asked lied & said he did as I watched. Had to ask them to fill my tires. Come on man! Wont be coming to this location ever again.

It was a bad experience and the employees did not do a very good job at all, so I had to report it. The new regional manager did reach out to me and is working ensure this experience is not a recurring one. Thank you maam

They checked all of my lights, tires, and oils with thorough communication. Wore masks, friendly staff with good jokes and moods, and are more than happy to answer any questions. They even walk through general Oil-based maintainance for your knowledge based on the car you have. All prices are communicated before action/charge. Highly recommend the East Wash location for their attention to detail and care for the car/people they service.Ben the Manager, and his team (Shaun, and some others I couldnt catch the names of) are a great and familiar team.

Quick and to the point. The personnel were very dry and perfunctory. Not a friendly experience, but I got done what was needed.

As I was waiting in line for an oil change the car waiting in the lane next to me left, a while later he came back and asked the technician if he could cut ahead of me since he was technically there first... the technician then asked me to back-up and let the guy who left and came back go before me... SINCE WHEN DO YOU GET TO LEAVE AND COME BACK AND GET YOUR SLOT BACK AT THE FRONT OF THE LINE?!!? To make the situation worse, only 1 of the 2 lanes was moving BECAUSE they ran out of the type of oil needed for the truck parked in the other bay... not only did they run out of oil, when they went and bought some they did not buy enough... HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF OIL AT AN INSTANT OIL CHANGE PLACE and HOW DO YOU NOT BUY ENOUGH OIL TO GET ONE JOB DONE??!!? Dont waste your time here, these kids do not know what they are doing, its worth the drive down Stoughton Road to go to the other location - Ive never had an issue at that one...

Brought one of our company vehicles in for an oil change on 8/5. One of our employees noticed a faint smell after driving the van and had me look at it. Noted oil leaking from the oil filter due to improper tightening and oil spilled in the engine bay (assumed during filling). Luckily noticed early to avoid potential major engine damage. Awaiting resolution from management.

Ben, Shaun and Ethan were an awesome team! Definitely going to go back there. Customer service was awesome and Ben made sure I understood everything. Didnt over charge me like the other store had AND felt like a family owned buisness.

Stopped here after visiting another Valvoline on Stoughton Road that didnt even have oil for a 2014 Jeep. This location quoted $105 + tax for a simple filter & oil, then said I could go to the store and bring my own oil & filter in that they could use. I own a 2015 Jeep as well and its only $35-40 for oil changes. Seems like a scam.

Good service. The exit is very tight and overgrown with branches limiting visibility of the curb that I then ended up hitting.

We have several of our working vehicles services here and it been the only place we go. But no more, because I got here at 542pm with one of my vehicles and waited 15 watching services guys working on their own car or somebody car. Never once any of them came out to inform me that I would be next. So I just left. Sorry, u just lost my business. All my vehicles going some where else.

My mother and I got in a car accident right in front of this business, we immediately pulled into their lot it was just coincidence that it was a automotive shop. Anyways, I asked for just a simple zip tie and instead one of their mechanics came out and basically helped me fix my moms bumper for free. he also gave me very sound advice about whats worth doing to it and whats not, as well as what product to buy from the store to make it a $4 fix instead of a $400 fix. I wish I had caught his name, however everybody there seem to be equally awesome. I wish I had a name to think but I will just have to think everybody there :-) That was a very stressful moment for my mom and I, and they definitely changed that by being so hospitable. I will be coming here for all of my oil changes from now on thats a fact. Again thank you to the Valvoline team!Johnathan

I had a transmission flush, event hough they were pretty swamped they still got me in with fast service that really friendly. Great group of people to have work on your car, and they know what theyre doing.

Fast service friendly C/S prices lil high

Justin was a very pleasant young man. The problem was the manager, Benjamin. All together, we were in the bay area for an hour! The service itself took quite a long time. They (3 men) had a hard time getting my hood up. They had a hard time getting my air filter off and they dropped a tool into my engine area and had to remove something to retrieve it. For the majority of the time, the manager stood and watched the young men work. The Internet went down and Benjamin, the manager, wouldnt take my Groupon code so we waited 15 minutes AFTER the service was complete. We were being patient but had another appointment. He couldnt get the Groupon to work once the Internet was on. He commented that we were costing the company money with the Groupon not working. Finally, he just told us to go and the company will take a loss because we didnt pay taxes and fees. I dont know that I would ever go back there,

Quick and painless oil change, even while training a new employee and short handed! Only minor complaint was false info given to another customer regarding her air filter, dont believe them when they say it will affect your cabin air quality!

Went in for an oil change. They didnt do their usual inspection, just rushed me in & out. They spilled oil everywhere, it took a solid week for my car to stop smelling like oil inside. 2 days after the oil change, my PCV valve busted. $1100 fix. Upon time for my next oil change, we discovered they had stripped the oil plug. Several people couldnt get it out. Finally, we contacted customer care who routed us to the area manager, Kaylee. She refused to provide us a refund for even just our 1 service that was bad (and obviously refused responsibility for any damages.) She offered to have us bring it in and take the oil plug out, only offering to use our own oil for a replacement. We went to the store we got it done at originally (E Washington Ave, Madison WI) and they were under new management. That manager was very courteous and there was some struggle to get the plug out, but after that manager called Kaylee over the phone, they halted all services they were doing on our car and said this could only be handled by Kaylees store on the other side of town (about an extra 30 min drive) (Gammon Rd in Madison). We arrived, and were told it would be about an hour wait (understandable, they had a line) but she said she told the other manager to tell us about the wait before leaving, and no one did. Additionally, the other store was going to use their own oil (to which I guess we would have at least benefited by being able to hold onto the oil we purchased out of our pocket, but Kaylee wouldnt. We thought Kaylee wanted to speak to us which is why she wanted us at her store, but she was very avoidant to talk to us at all until the very end of the oil change, and then she offered to apology or courteous behavior, she just scanned in my car. All in all we felt purposely jerked around, Im finally at home at 8:30pm after not being home all day, and my son is finally in bed (late.) I would still like a refund.

These guys are friendly, knowledgeable, and quick with an oil change. They caught several other issues that needed attention on my vehicle and when I stated I just couldnt afford to fix them today, they assisted me with some online coupons and got my car back in great shape, all in about 15mins. Highly recommended!

Website offered conventional oil change for $19.99. I showed up. Oh shocker- my vehicle (a 2016 Impala) needs a custom blend and the change will actually be $80-$100. Give me af-ing break. What a far cry from what was advertised. I might understand a bit of an upcharge- maybe even $40. I left without getting service. The lady was decent at least and seemed to understand.

Ive heard horror stories about quick lube shops, but I have no hesitations coming to this Valvoline.I like that they have good communication protocols to avoid mistakes, and also show me that the oil is indeed at the correct level once finished.They are polite when I decline the extra services.I also asked for a tire rotation but they advised against it because the back tires were much more worn and shouldnt be moved to the front.

I had a about an 1 1/2 hr wait.

Fast & do what you ask for. Great job.

I was helped today by Dave, Dwain, and Raheem. Awesome group of guys, super funny and friendly. They offer tons of stuff but dont push them on to you, mostly make you aware of them. Im so pleased I stopped in. Quick service too. Definitely recommend them.

I am from Washington State. I use the Valvoline on 228th in Sammamish, WA. Their service is ok, they are lazy and do not take time to preform brake light checks, they just get the oil changes done fast and have even left a small wrench under the hood of my car.BUTWhen I moved to Wisconsin and came to the Valvoline on East Washington Ave in Madison, WI, I was amazed by how friendly the staff was and what a complete job they did on my car. The Manager, Alex Hawkins was very thorough and ensured everyone was doing a good job. I got an oil change and a tire rotation. Alex was careful, very detailed and completely ensured my car was in good condition. I will definitely come back and I encourage people to come to this Valvoline. Their service is the best.

They changed the oil as they said they would, and were courteous, professional, and thorough. I was not pleased with the price. Oil changes START at $50!! The dealership regularly has coupons for $25 oil changes, and they maybe take 5 to 10 minutes longer. Not going back.

Philip did an excellent job explaining the different options to me as well as reccomendations of services for my car. I came in just to get my oil changed real quick. The people were great. Heather came by to get my information and told me there were discounts online and all I had to do was show it to her.I stuck with the oil change plus they cleaned my windshield, added more wiper fluid, and added air to my tires.They checked my whole car for lights, system and fluid and efficiency. They told me what needed to be updated and when they were due. The page also had the prices attached to each service so I knew what I was getting into. She also showed me my air filter and what it was supposed to look like...I bought the friggin filter.

Had to get a quick oil change but didnt happen was there for 45 minutes

They did a diff flush. 30 mn later my diff was making a howling sound. Couple weeks later the diff was toast and had to get a new one put in. After $3500, please do not go here. Fortunately i have legal help but this has been such a pain to deal with. When techs at a dealership pulled the fluid they could immediately tell something was off with it but no full analysis details yet. (when valvoline flushed my original fluid it had come out fine and i had 0 issues with the diff, was just doing routine maintenance) I had gone back a couple of times in between the time the diff blew and the flush at valvoline with my concerns and they told me everything was fine.

Exceeded my expectations! Simply put, great employees, great attitudes, great service! I appreciated how they took time to communicate and I didnt feel rushed. I will return to this Valvoline.

Pulled in at 3:30. An employee got up and turned the OPEN sign off. I got out of my car to ask since the hours are posted as open through 5:00 and the guy locked the door and headed into a back room. If you really dont want my business, I sure wont give it to you.

I like that i didnt have to wait and i have had good service here in the past. But last time i was in they incorrectly installed the oil filter. So far repairs from this mess up are up to $100 and rising. Being an oil change place, you have to be able to perform an oil change correctly - thats key.

Show up at 3:30 (during their operating hours) and the staff will just stare at you from the inside with the open sign turned off until you drive off. Show up a bit later (still within their operating hours) and wait long enough and they’ll come out and tell you they don’t have time for you. Either change the hours of operation to close at 3:30 or get staff who don’t slack the last 30 minutes. Usually go to Valvoline, but never again.
