I absolutely love Budds. Everyone who works here is great, they sometimes get busy and cant make appointments for a while, but they do their absolute best to fit you in. Theyre also perfectly open about whats going on with your vehicle and how much its going to cost. The only bad thing about going to Budds is navigating Monroe Street, but thats not their fault!

Highly recommended. My 2009 Honda CRV caused Omar some (well, a lot of) grief -- long story -- but he was persistent, skilled and highly professional. Thanks for the excellent service.

I was recommended Budds from my friend and I’m so glad I listened. I live closer to Verona, but it was worth the distance. They fit me in to there very busy schedule, had open communication, and stayed late just to make sure I had a car for the weekend. Budds is just a great place to get your car taken care of! Omar is awesome. What I like most about these guys are that they are highly reasonable and quote the perfect prices for your repairs.They are also very considerate to help you out in case of urgencies even though they are pretty busy handling many cars. Buds Auto repair is top-notch. Omar the owner has always been super helpful especially to my parents when they had car issues, driving to pick them up or take them back home. Ive never had a car repair place go above and beyond/go the extra mile like the guys here did for me. I needed an older Jeep made roadtrip ready for a cross country move and there were some unexpected problems that required an absolutely heroic effort from the mechanics to fix, which they they delivered on, preventing me to need to leave a bunch of stuff behind or complicate the moveout from our rental. Prices were super reasonable too, and the mechanics here are solid nice guys that I would trust. Having a dependable place I trust like this is honestly one of the things I miss most after moving from the area.Bottom line is I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a new mechanic.

I stopped by with four of my lug nuts missing from my back right wheel not knowing what was wrong. Shoutout to Owen for quickly identifying the issue and providing a temporary fix, free of charge. So glad you were able to make my car drivable in minutes and potentially saved me from a catastrophe if it had went unseen.

Dropped my car off with engine light issues. After assessing the problem with the engine Computer they determined that I needed a factory update, which can only be archived at dealerships. Ended up not charging me a free. They were always supper polite on the phone, never me with anyone face to face.

We were on a road trip passing through Madison when our A/C gave out. It was 90 degrees outside so it was impossible to drive without it. I decided to try Budds based on their great reviews and BBB rating, but I was worried that they were completely booked (seeing their parking lot full of cars in the morning). To my surprise the guys at Budds completely understood our situation and managed to squeeze us into their schedule, ordered and replaced the A/C in 2 days for a reasonable price, without any markups. I would recommend this place to anyone, whether you are a native Madisonian or just passing through.

I had to get a headlight fixed a few months ago and they were super quick, as well as reliable with the problem and price. It ended up being much less than I thought. They helped me with a tire issue I had today even though their lot was full and they are always so nice !!! Would highly recommend :)

Beware -- they tried to sell me $$$ of services my car didnt need. Said that my belt was old and cracked and needed to be replaced, when in fact it was a brand new belt in great condition. Offered to take the belt off my car and show me what it looked like -- I suspect they have an old belt lying around the shop to show customers for this purpose. I also paid them for a used car inspection, but it is doubtful they took off my wheels to look at my brakes because another mechanic I consulted shortly after taking my car to Budds had an extremely hard time getting the wheels off (were rusted on). This is disappointing and concerning because I asked them how much life I had left in my brakes and they told me number of years straight to my face. Wondering what those numbers were based on. The mechanics at Budds are super friendly and come off as very knowledgable (like to explain everything to you in detail), and that unfortunately fooled me into trusting them.

I value honesty. When we were in Madison last Sunday, our Suburban broke down, and Budds was the nearest garage. Omer took the time not only to diagnose what turned out to be a lost cause of a transmission problem, but he gave honest, knowledgeable answers to all my questions, and let us leave the Suburban there while we figured out what to do with it. Then he wouldnt take anything in return. What started out as a really tough situation became a little easier because of his honesty and generosity. I would take a car there again – although hopefully for something normal.

These guys are the best!! Literally so sweet and genuine, they will call you and tell you exactly what is going on and find the cheapest solution for you. Car was ready for pickup much earlier than expected and only charged me for .25 hours of labor even though they spent hours looking at my car trying to figure out the problem. Im new to the Madison area and so happy that Ive found an auto place I can trust. Never going anywhere else in the Madison area!

Had an amazing experience at Budds all five times I have visited. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and immediately addressed my concern. Their prices are incredibly competitive. They do not try to rip you off like I have seen other places do and they explain everything in detail that you can understand if youre not familiar with car mechanics. Everyone should take their car here. The service is worth the wait (if they cant get you an appointment same day).

Highly recommend choosing Budds. I have had only great experiences with them. Their prices are very fair and instead of trying to replace every little thing and drive up prices, they do their best to replace only parts that must be replaced and fix up those that just need a little care or still have a good amount of miles left in them.

I just had my car worked on here for the first time and I cant say enough good things. Fast, friendly and much less expensive than I expected or than it would have been at the dealer. The mechanic figured out a baffling problem quickly on the first visit.

Disappointed in this shop for lack of COVID procedures. The repair on my vehicle was very fast and staff was friendly but it was a disappointment that no staff member social distanced, wore a mask, or did any sanitization other than using hand sanitizer before taking my credit card.

Have had informative, fair, and fast service every time. They take the time to educate me before I spend a dime. Helps me trust their work - and hopefully makes me a better car owner 🤷🏼‍♂️

It was Friday late afternoon and everyone else said they wouldnt be able to look at the car till monday but Buds was able to look at our can and tell us exactly what we needed. We wouldnt have been on the road that night without them. Special shout out to Owen for the friendly fast service.

Budds was great, quick friendly service. I will start coming here everytime I need something done. They did bumper repair for me on 3.6.20 around 145 pm. Took them about 10 minutes to fix it.

I brought in my car because my brakes were making a weird noise. I called Budds and they scheduled me in their next opening, I dropped my car off in the morning and it was ready by the afternoon. They also found the causes of a couple other issues my car was having that other shops werent able to find. They gave me printed out diagnostic info on everything they did and were very transparent. Highly recommend- theyre honest and theyre good.

A huge thank you to Faysal for the kindness shown when my elderly aunts car started acting up during a major move from her home to a new location. It was late in the day and he was swamped with work, but VERY kindly took 45 minutes of his valuable time to trouble shoot, even doing a diagnostic. In the end, he added some coolant, and I was able to be on my way. That kind of service is rare and so very much appreciated. I cannot thank him enough.

Honest, knowledgeable, and fair service. Went there while in town on a trip based on their Yelp page and was not disappointed. These are, at the time of writing, pretty young guys who love cars and are more than willing to work hard to make the customer happy. They provided outstanding service that went above my expectations while knowing that I was only there for an oil change and no other work. If I lived in Madison, I would undoubtedly make these guys my go-to mechanics.

I have had a lot of service performed on my 2001 Subaru Outback at Budds over the past year. They have done a wonderful job with sway bar links, engine spark plugs, timing belts, the ignition coil, fuel pump, and brake pads. They are friendly, honest, and provide timely service. There have been multiple instances where I brought the car in with an urgent issue and theyve had it fixed in the same day. I trust them and highly recommend them to anyone look for great car service in the Madison area.

Super friendly service. I dont know anything about cars and mine was in bad shape when I brought it in. These guys werent condescending, and they made every effort to get the repairs done promptly even though they were busy. They were communicative and considerate of my schedule.

They fixed an issue with my license plate that Autozone and OReilly said they couldnt help. Everyone was kind and friendly and they didnt even charge me for the work. Will definitely be back!

Brought my crappy old van here for a leaking power steering line. The guys did a great job replacing it. They charged me exactly what they quoted me over the phone with no surprise upcharges or shop fees, which I really appreciate. The price was on the high side of the RepairPal range, but its worth it for a good neighborhood shop you can walk to.

Extremely honest mechanic. I dont have enough good things to say. Car was too expensive to fix, but the mechanic there did an extensive inspection at no charge. Then he helped me find a buyer for what was left of my car, again at no charge. Clearly, thks is a principled person with a hunger fof business. I feel like I still owe budds auto for all that they helped me with, so i wanted to be sure to leave this review. I would reccomend Budds auto without hesitation.
