Super nice guys. Extremely fast and high quality. I was dumb and only brought a large bill and card, but they gave me the shave on the house since my wedding was the following weekend. Will absolutely return. Nice folks, good vibe in there.

My experience was just like everyone elses. When I walked in there was hair strewn on the floor, but it didnt matter since I was immediately helped. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, and he cut it way shorter than I was hoping for. He was very fast though, and it was only $18. If you want a longer cut, this place isnt for you. The guys are really friendly and make good conversation. Overall, not a bad place.

Came in here right after getting my haircut messed up by another barbershop. Though its a small space, its roomy enough and gives you the old school, small town barbershop vibes.I was able to get my haircut fixed by Randy, who had the steady and swift hands of an experienced barber, and who told me no problem when I asked if he could fix what the previous barber messed up 30 minutes ago. His work was not only able to cover up the mistakes from the previous barbershop, but also make it look 10x better and just the way my regular barber does it in Ohio.Randy is an experienced barber, whos father owned the shop before him, and who has been working as a barber for 40 years. There is also another gentleman that works besides him who also seemed very friendly and talented as well, from the fade I saw him give his client.I would highly recommend going to Waynes barbershop - the price for a mens haircut is $18 currently, but its worth at least $50 in my opinion. Dont go anywhere else in Wisconsin.

Great prices and an even better barber! I asked him to give me a hair cut similar to ryan Reynolds, he only looked at the picture for 2 seconds before he went to work. Really happy with how it turned out and how quick he was in getting it done.He always makes sure that the customer is satisfied at the very end and you can tell he enjoys what he does! Definitely recommend, and its not too bad of a walking distance for the farmers market on Saturdays.

I’ve been going to Wayne’s for about 5 years now. Tayler and Randy are always fantastic and have never disappointed with a haircut. Tayler has been cutting my hair for 4 years and is always great. He knows how I want my hair cut without me needing to say anything. That aside, it’s worth coming to Wayne’s just to chat about Badger football and local news. Great people who know what they’re doing with scissors and clippers. Shops like this are hard to find - it’s basically the Cheers of barbershops. I’m looking forward to bringing my young son in for his first haircut in the coming months.Given the current situation, I think it’s also important to address masks and hygiene without politicizing my comments. I wore a mask into the shop and Tayler wore a mask while cutting my hair. They required another patron who walked into the shop to also wear a mask. Tools are always clean in the shop and it’s always well swept. In fact, a few months ago Tayler mentioned to me how much effort he’d been going to to track down barbicide because of the uptick in home haircuts. As a person who is conscious about public health, I have no issues coming to Wayne’s or with how they’re handling the ongoing changes needed to run a business during this pandemic.

I moved to Madison in June and I found this barber shop that was close to my new apartment and I don’t plan on going anywhere else! Taylor has been cutting my hair for a few months now and he’s done a fantastic job every time. Both barbers are good, genuine guys and will always meet your needs no matter how you want your hair cut. Highly recommend this shop!

Great work by father (son of Wayne) and son! A three generation barbershop! Always can rely on a good and consistent haircut and at a reasonable rate. I enjoy getting my haircut there and taking my son as well, Randy is great with kids cuts. I enjoy their conversation as well. They very soon remember what your typical cut is where you don’t have to stress about it or remind them. I always get a simple short cut, nothing fancy, but previously struggled with chain shops where you may not get in right away or stress about which barber you get and explaining what cut you hope to get each time usually with different results. It’s nice to have a place you can go to that always gets it and who can see you same day, if you are willing to wait in line as it’s walk-in but it doesn’t take long.

Good people, good conversation, good cut. Could stay and relax for a while.

I was looking for a decent haircut and found Waynes Barber Shop. It had a real classic vibe, so I decided to give it a try.The barber was friendly and very helpful. After a little small talk, he took his time and asked a lot of questions, making sure I got the quality and style I was looking for.They have a fair price, chill atmosphere, and put the patience and time needed for their  craft. Ill definitely find myself stopping by for my next cut.

Honestly best haircut I have ever received. Buddy and I went there to get a quick haircut for a formal dinner. He was able to give both of us perfect ivy league haircuts in 30 minutes. Fast, good work, great guy 10/10 would recommend.

The guys were really friendly but their hair cutting skills are not so good. My boyfriend went here to get his haircut and we even showed the guy a picture of how his hair was cut before so that the guy could replicate it but unfortunately the haircut was awful. He cut his sides way too high up and the top was really uneven. And now there’s parts of his hair that are sticking up because he cut his hair too short for his growth pattern. Not a good haircut at all. Wouldn’t recommend this place. We could’ve saved the money that he spent today and went to cost cutters to get a haircut of the same quality

Very kind man but if your hair is curly in any way he will mess you up. Im sorry but Im just being honest. He is a very respectful man with a good demeanor but his hair-cutting skills are (unfortunately) awful.

Found him by googling mens haircuts in Madison. The owners father started the business and he carried it on. Hes a quiet guy but knows how to do mens hair however you like. Hell mute the Fox News garbage on his TV if you ask, too. I appreciated that, as I didnt want to vomit on his clean floor.

Worst haircut Ive ever received in my life. They do not know how to cut hair. And for 16$ you could get a much nicer haircut.

The haircut was done too quickly without care for attention to detail. I waited almost an hour on a Saturday. They seemed to just want to go as quickly as possible and were understaffed for the number of customers waiting. I wanted to support a local small business but I will find another place to go next time.

Wayne is great! Asks you what you want, but then asks a question or two to make sure. Fast, but in no way rushed. I think 15 minutes.Been there 5 times. Same great haircut. I hve a cowlick that he gets as short as it can go without getting too short and having it pop straight up for 2 weeks til it grows out.Not a big deal except that only one of the 6 barbers I went to in Madison before I found Waynes did get it to stay down. And she only got it right one out of 3 haircuts.$15 for a cut. I give him $20 and think I got a bargain. Friendly guy.And about not taking plastic?? Guys, any charge under $20 and Amex or Visa is taking 5% or more! Id rather pay cash and have Wayne keep it all for himself.

Randy runs a great regular old barbershop he and his son do a great job cutting hair and its the little things like the hot lather shave on the back of the neck and shoulder massage after their done cutting your hair that makes it great.

I absolutely love the old school feel of this barbershop. Randy and Tayler are AMAZING at what they do. They both are really personable. I love the selection of shows to watch while you are getting your hair cut or the free WiFi. Randy and Tayler are really good with kids as well.

Randy is the barber that is there most of the time. Hes Waynes son. Wayne is semi retired. Hes in his 70/80s! Randys easy to talk to, loves sports esp. UW sports. Also hes a muscle car fan. I think he has a Vette and a Mustang. Been going for about 3 years. Always a great haircut! Plus $16! Been to all of the foo-foo $30+ places. This is the real deal. Dont tell your friends....;-)

My beard wasent even and my haircut wasent even eigther i had tiny hairs stikinnup from my head. Also asked to do lineup my forehead n the line was cricked Spent $20 dollars . N still not worth what they did to me i woudnt recomend the place and i would never go back in there
