There is currently a mask mandate in Dane County and neither the staff nor other customers were wearing masks. When I asked about it, the employee told me she didnt make the rules and wasnt going to put one on.

I was the last person there and they took good care of me.

Whenever I travel I always look for a Sport Clips when I need a haircut. Hope was awesome and was able to give me the perfect cut I was looking for. My friends liked my cut and they went a couple days later to see for themselves.

Did a great job with my 2 year olds hair cut. This has always been my go to hair cut place!

Highly recommend Angee. She came to this location from the Sun Prairie location, and shes well worth any extra drive time or wait. Shes really consistent, very experienced, and Im always happy with her work. I hope she never moves out of state because then Ill have to include the price of airfare to my haircuts.

I have been going to her for about two years now and she has always been incredibly professional, friendly, thorough, and consistent.I really appreciate that she will always double check the details of the cut before starting and will pay extra attention to make sure everything is perfect.

Angee has been cutting my 8 yr old sons hair for over a year now. She is great with fades and is very precise. He does modeling so his cut has to be top notch. I highly recommend her.

Arriving to the location can be a bit awkward. I found it easier to park at Hyve and then walk up to the store. They had the soccer on the TVs. Didn’t wait at all as I had signed in online ahead. Haircut was good and at a competitive price. General cleanliness of the floor and chair area could have been a bit better. The stylist that cut my hair wore a mask because of COVID which was a plus.

I recently had my haircut at Sports Clips East Madison. Angee did a great job styling my hair as always! Ive been going to her for several years and I always get a great consistent haircut. She used to cut hair at the Sun Prairie location, but has now moved on to the Madison East location. Even though it is a longer drive, I am willing to do so because Angee is a great stylist. If your looking for a hair stylist that is professional, fun, and always has your needs in mind I would recommend Angee !

Ive been here a few times. Cuts have been hit or miss. I get a clipper at 5 and 3 sides. Noticed after I left that a spot or two was missed on my first time here.Trish, who did my last cut was great, went over twice. Will go back for her cut.

Been here for my last two haircuts now. Both times I’ve come out looking like a blind person with scissors for feet was cutting my hair while doing a handstand. Two different stylists, both equally horrible.

I’ve been coming to this Sport Clips for a while. I rarely get a great cut, but it’s convenient and the cuts usually look pretty good. Today a very careless stylist completely ruined my part. It is absolutely butchered. A significant part of my head is buzzed that shouldn’t be. I could have done better blindfolded. My hair will probably take 6 months to grow back to normal, and I am very upset. I would go back to try to have her fix it, but I don’t want anything else to go wrong. This is my last straw with this place. I’m incredibly disappointed.On another note- To respond to some other reviewers, Trish is a unique stylist but I have gotten some of my best cuts from her. She cares deeply about the customers. She is one of the best there.

My hairdresser appeared to be under the influence of something, and her speech was incoherent. She inadvertently poked my in my eye with her hand, and things only worsened from there. Halfway through my cut, she stopped, and trimmed my left eye brow. What??? She proceeded to finish the cut, never adjusting my right eyebrow. What??? After I left, I had my eye washed with saline solution and went to a different salon to have my eyebrows trimmed. It was inexcusable, deplorable service. Avoid at all costs.

It is clear that they are hoping to cater to the military clients in the area. My hair stylist didnt know how to fade the sides without Clippers, and would make a much better drill sergeant than a hair stylist. I got my haircut, but the level of customer service said dont come back. I have had my hair cut at another location for years; great experience until today.

We love Sports Clips and drive from West Madison to the east side location because my son wont let anyone but Sabrina cut his hair. Shes been cutting his hair for years now and its so great to have someone remember how he likes his hair and little personal things for him to talk about too. I cant say enough what a good job she does :)

Had a couple females cut my hair and wasnt very happy with the results. One cut of my little side burns off without saying a word. I decided to go back and see Pao as he had a waiting list both times I went. I was very happy with him. He asked lots of questions to make sure I was getting what I wanted. Ill definitely go back and have him cut my hair.

Had the clipper issue that other reviewers have mentioned and had trouble getting what I actually wanted. After constantly having to point the stylist closer to what I actually wanted I sort of low key gave up so I wouldnt have to keep nagging her. I understand from personal experience that the customer service thing is tough and that many customers are jacka**es but with that I still did not have a good experience here. I do like the Sports Clips military donation program though.

They very good with my young son, took away his anxiety and were able to make him comfortable and happy with his haircut...not to mention a very handsome cut!!

I came in for a simple mens short haircut and got some weird uneven butchering. Not having my contacts in I couldnt see all of the mistakes before I left. Using public transportation takes about an hour and a half to get there and when I came back twice during the next week to have it fixed you were too busy bother with me.The skinny long blond hair woman will never touch my head again.

Liked the haircut and personal attention. The website and sign-in feature didnt work at all and I reached voicemail when I called at 2pm on a Sunday. But that didnt detract from the overall experience.

Hands down the best haircut experience Ive ever had. My stylist Kim was very helpful from start to finish, making me comfortable and even gave me some suggestions because I was looking for a change. I will definitely be returning!

The worst customer service I’ve received in my life. When we got there they told us it was a 40 min wait so we put our name on the list and went to Hy vee for groceries . When we came back one of the woman said it was not going to be more than 15 min. My husband and brother sit down, and I started to smell the shampoo’s because I needed one. The black woman started yelling at me saying to not touch the shampoos. Super rude and disrespectful. Who is she to yell at me. That’s not how you should talk to customers . No manners and customer service skills . We continued to wait when it was our turn they completely skipped us, I asked, “I think we were next “ our name was on the tv. The white girl ignored me. So we left . I will not be going back this was the second and last time in a sports clips. Very disappointing.GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Not worth your time and money

Have come here multiple times for my husband and son. Most stylists are pretty good but one is absolutely horrible! Cant follow simple requests. She chopped my husbands hair a few months ago and now my sons. He asked for very little off the top and she used the clippers and basically gave him a buzz cut! I think her name is Trish. Long blonde hair...avoid at all costs unless you want a horrible haircut!

Second time I’ve come in to get my sons hair cut with an hour before closing and have been turned away because there was two people ahead of us. There was also two hair dresses there at the time. I get that you can’t have people coming in minutes before closing but to turn someone away an hour before closing is a tad bit ridiculous. Won’t be returning

Got a great haircut for my 1.5 year old. Was impressed with how well it turned out. The guy was great with my son. The place was clean and well maintained.

Overall 2/10 experience here. Granted they opened just two weeks ago, so theres time to improve. The customer service was terrible. Im a very polite person and try to be as nice as possible, however the woman who cut my hair was pretty inconsiderate. She ripped on me about everything from how my hair was previously cut, to my shampoo choice (organic argan oil based with a little tea tree oil minus the additives), as well as the very small amount of acne on my neck, telling me I should see a dermatologist. Which I have; Im an adult now who had mild acne as a teen. Again it was a very small amount, maybe 3 clean zits without any puss - I try to make sure its clean when I go in for a cut. Besides customer service, Id give the actual cut itself cut a 5/10. It looks solid but it was quick and without attention to detail. Thankfully it was a free cut with my coupon, so I bit my tongue and left after. Will not be going back. Much prefer my regular place.Side note - this all comes from someone who takes his hair seriously.

Hair stylist was rude (to myself and another person waiting) and I cannot describe how uneven my simple hair cut was!Owner offered me a free hair cut (nice gesture) but you cannot pay me enough to visit this location ever again.I’ll wait two hours at other locations before I come here!

No appointment needed. The professional hair cutters do an outstanding job. I have a local place called CC and every time I have gone in there hey say I need an appointment. That is with 2 barbers there reading books or chatting. NO THANKS CC

I recently had a terrible experience here. I travel a lot for work and have been to many sports clips locations and this one was by far the WORST. The customer service was a joke, it seemed like the stylist who checked me in cared more about being on her phone. My hair cut was okay, nothing special, and they didnt even offer me the MVP, which I normally always get. For a company that always advertises their special service, you think they would at least offer it. I still plan on being a returning customer to other locations, but I will not be back to this one.

Sabrina and her staff are always great! Love coming here it’s worth the commute from Fitchburg. I won’t let anyone but Sabrina cut my hair.

Terrible service.First, I waited 40 min to be seen. When my name was finally called, the stylist was unprofessional and rough. She jerked my head from side to side as she cut my hair. Then throughout the process she told me multiple times how hot I was. While, sure it may feel good to hear youre attractive, I feel there is a time and a place. This was not the time nor the place. Then she wanted to finish off with a massage? My discomfort was already high. To top it all off she did not cut my hair as I had asked and she messed up my beard pretty badly. So bad, that i went home to an angry girlfriend and had to cut it all off myself. Why did I pay just to go home and fix someones mistake? I couldve done better myself, but I paid for someone who shouldve been able to handle it.I do not recommend this place. Do not be tempted, as I was, by their first time customer deal. Unless you dont really care how you might look afterwards.Lastly, I emailed the manager. I received back an insincere, copy and paste apology.

Great location, albeit awkward to find. GPS may tell you go to some weird direction. Better if punching in Hy-Vee and looking for it closer to the main road

I had the same experience as another reviewer below. For the record, Ive normally visited the sport clips near Sun Prairie, but thought the wait time would be less at this location.My stylist when cutting my hair asked me if I knew what dandruff was. Admittedly I do have a dandruff problem; however, I dont need to be called out publicly by my stylist while other customers are nearby.Ive been getting my hair cut to finger length on top. This stylist told me she didnt do that, because everyones finger sizes are different. OK - were not talking twigs to marshmallow differences here, and I like the random nature of it, but alas. I picked a razor length as she insisted on and she then told me thatd look military, you sure you want that. I took her advice and came out of the place with a terrible cut.Thankfully my wife (who normally cuts my hair) cleaned up the top and all was good.Im never going to this location again, Ill stick to the Sun Prairie location where Ive always had a 4 or 5 star experience.

Customer service could have been a lot better. I called ahead and asked if I could scheadule and appointment and they said they only takes walk-ins and the wait wasn’t too long. So I Ubered there to find out it was an hour and 15 min wait because they needed to take a break. Would not recommend this place escaially if you go to UW

An opportunity to get pampered on a budget. They keep track of how I like my hair cut so I dont have to explain it every time. And sports on TV.

First off this review is how the store is operated not on the person who cut my hair she was great. Problem you have is you pay more to get the extra little perks like a trim in between appointments but I have yet been able to do so. This to me was a benefit but I have tried several times said you would get bumped to the top for a trim but never happens. Never enough staff working only 2?? Come on. Terrible. Wont be back.

I usually enjoy this location, close to where I live but the last person to cut my hair was extremely rough and was talking about how broke she was and needed money. I also smelled a hint of marijuana on her. I think her name was Mariama or something like that.

Took way too much off even though I specifically said just a trim and that Ive never complained about not enough being taken off.I usually come every 3-4 weeks for a trim.....no need to come back for 2 months now. Damage is done. Darn.

Worst haircut Ive ever gotten. Literally went home and shaved my head afterwards, wish I could get my money back. Seemed like the lady who cut my hair was on something with how she acted. Ive already told many people how bad my experience was and will continue to tell people when they ask why I shaved my head.
