Jen straightened and blow dryer my hair. It was amazing! Definitely worth the value. The shop is a little bit hidden in town but I would 100% go back, if in town. All the staff is super friendly and very skilled. Thank you Jen!

I went in for my first haircut and blowdry with Barbara and she did a great job! I got exactly the cut I wanted. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and I was in and out within 30 minutes. I will definitely go back!

I have visited this salon sporadically over the years, mostly for maintenance purposes--trims, shampoos, etc. The staff is professional, friendly and efficient and Im always pleased with the results. They relocated across the street several years ago and the space is much more comfortable. I am a local business owner so I dont have lots of free time. Efficiency is important to me. And best of all, their pricing is reasonable, which for Madison is saying something. Money well spent.

Fran is the best. I have strange curly hair and she knows exactly how to cut it. I am always pleased with how great my hair looks when I leave there. Everyone is polite and attentive. The prices are very reasonable.

I have been a customer of Downtown Salon for a little over a year now. After trying numerous salons in my area and not being too happy with the results, I asked for a recommendation from a friend who always has wonderful looking hair. She suggested Downtown Salon and Tom the stylist. The Salon is a bit out of my way, Im from Randolph, but traveling a little is well worth the trip. I am extremely happy with my hair each time. I usually have my hair dyed, hi-lighted and cut. In addition, the people who work at Downtown, are all friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend giving this gem a try.

My experience was a nightmare. I had side swept bangs and I wanted to get them trimmed a little because they were getting too long.The only thing I was getting cut were my bangs. I asked the hair dresser for a trim on my side swept bangs and I indicated the way that I would like them to be angled. She said okay, but instead of cutting my bangs side swept, she cut them straight across. The bangs that were cut straight across were crooked, some ends being shorter in a place where the rest were long. I said that these were not side swept bangs at all. She simply told me that they were and that I needed to play with them, instead of trying to fix them. I tried playing with those awful excuse for side swept bangs to the point where the next day I had to go to another hair salon. When I walked into the door to a different hair salon, they didnt ask me what I wanted, they asked my what happened to my hair. I told them them the situation, and they agreed that this was completely unacceptable, that no one should mess up this badly on bangs. This other hair salon was able to fix my bangs to make them presentable, but I am now unable to have side swept bangs until they grow out. I now have a hair style that I did not want because of this mess up on my bangs. On top of all of this, I wrote a comment to them on their website explaining the situation and they never got back to me. It is embarrassing on them that they could mess up something so simple as trimming bangs; and, to let someone leave in the condition they were in is completely and utterly unacceptable. I hope my review can help someone avoid having a similar experience to my own and I do not recommend this salon.

I love this place. I walked in on a Sunday morning needing a trim and blowout in a hurry. The woman at front desk immediately accommodated me, sent me back to sink and followed to wash/condition my hair. Barbara was to be the person to trim. I told her I just needed it to look neat for a funeral. I thought it was fine when I walked out the door. Much to my surprise...ALL of my family members LOVED the hair cut. I got way to many compliments at wa wake. Sooo...thank you so very much to Barbara.

When I find someone I like to cut my hair, its hard for me to change. I followed Allison to Down Town Salon. So the fact that she likes it there means I like it there.

Besides being an awesome hairdresser that changes my style From month to month cuz I am a pain. she is quick, efficient and friendly ! Plus I get tips on fantasy football team 🙌 I won my league last year cuz that girl knows her football and hair !! You wont be disappointed!
