**If your angle of your house looks like mine and you dont have a platform, dont waste your time**Set up appointment to get my AC unit cleaned. Waited a week for an appointment. Service guy was on time. Guy went to look at ac unit, got out his ladder, set up his hose. I was doing maintenance on my pool. And he stated he would recommend I get a platform due to the angle of my roof, he stated he would still do it, but he would really recommend one. I was going to sign up for their twice a year maintenance for 180.00. So, I asked are they going to have an issue in the future visits if I dont have a platform. He stated they would just keep recommending it, but it is up to the worker feeling safe. I advised that if I spent the money on a platform, I wouldnt have a use for a professional and I would just wash it myself. He said he was going to call the shop for recommendation. Then came back and said he doesnt feel safe, wont do the job.I dont want someone on my roof who doesnt feel comfortable. If that is the case so be it (kind of odd because the job is mainly on roofs and you should have the appropriate equipment for your job), but I really do feel when I stated that Im not going to spend 500 plus on a platform installation in the future that it was decided between technician and the shop to not do the job. Big waste of time called new company that requested this picture of the unit to make sure they werent wasting my time and theirs. Technician saw no issue with the angle and it was 179 for the same deal, but I got to wait another week now due to either this companies unpreparedness to do their job, or lack of ability to future upsell me?**Update**The owners response tells a lot about the company and Im truly happy I’m not doing business with him.So, let me respond.... you state it is law to have a ladder and a platform on my roof? Well due to the house recently being purchased please note it passed all inspections, and it was not required. If it was in violation the home loan would of never went through without it being fixed (like other items that were during the purchase).As far as the condition of my roof its still under certification with an actual roofing company (not an ac company) from the purchase so I dont really understand how your opinion in that matter is valid.Now as far as the safety of your employees, I think its neat that you dont provide your employees with roof hooks or safety harnesses, but Im the one not concerned with your employees safety.Its a very honest review letting people know if they have some angle to their roof and no platform to not waste their time or yours. Just as your time is worth money, your customers time is worth money.Im glad youre good with taking this bad review, its honest, and honest reviews should be accepted by the businesss, its up to you to be better. I hope in the future you learn to read reviews and think if possibly you could improve the way you do business, instead of getting mad and trying to blame anything but yourself.P.S. If you would have installed the system, it would of never been done due to lack proper equipment to finish the job.
You really don’t need to look any further - just go with Brian’s heating and cooling if you need a new ac or furnace. I did a lot of research and got quotes from at least 3 other well reviewed companies. I like to compare prices from different companies as well as ask questions about what they recommend in terms of equipment in order to see if there is consistency. You learn a lot by hearing explanations about why they recommend one thing over another, and then doing some research into whether that makes sense or not.After talking to these other 3 companies and Brian’s, I can tell you that Brian is really knowledgeable, and does not try to upsell you just to get a sale. He really wants to make sure that you get the equipment that will be most efficient and useful and of the best value to you. We were really confident in our decision to go with Brian’s in terms of value, honesty, and standing behind their work.When the crew came to do the furnace and ac replacement, they were also great! It took 2 days and they were so polite and courteous. Wore masks the whole time, put down drop cloths on the areas they were working and walking to from the front door, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the night. They kept us informed and just made it easy to have them working in our house while we were working at home as well.Brian came out to check things over as well after the job was completed and noticed something in the attic where the furnace was that was really minor and we would never have noticed but came back later in the week to put some extra part on - you can tell he really cares about doing a job right.I would 100% recommend Brian’s and will definitely be telling our friends about them. There are not many businesses that I am so satisfied with but Brian’s definitely exceeded all expectations.
Completely Satisfied New Customer. As I was looking for a new air conditioner and furnace system to replace my 25 years old Carrier AC, I learned Lennox is a top tier brand. I then contacted several locally owned reputable companies. Brian’s Heating and Cooling Inc gave me the best presentation, no high pressure sales, and recommended the mid-range products: Elite EL18XCV AC and Signature Collection SL280 variable-speed gas furnace with the latest Ecobee thermostat Alexa voice control. Two other companies gave me a $1500 and $3200 higher written quote prices for the exact same models. One company claimed a PG&E energy rebate. I contacted PG&E. There is no rebate. Needless to say, this company gave me a dishonest presentation. I am a 28 years Costco member. Thinking Costco can give the best deal with 10% money back. It turned out that contractor quote me $3200 higher even after the 10% money back. I am disappointed with the Costco’s Lennox deal. On the day of the installation, a team of four-member crew spent two days to remove and install the new system as scheduled. They are professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to the customer concerns noting the COVID environment. Throughout the process, the office contacted me to schedule, confirm the scheduling, and follow up. I am completely satisfied with their service. It is the after installed review and quick follow up that I am particularly impress with Brian’s Heating & Cooling. The company’s owner, Brian Padilla, was onsite twice to inspect the installation and to make sure everything is taking care of to this customer complete satisfaction. He and his team earned my 5 stars rating for sales, install, and service. I could not be happier with this locally owned reputable company for my AC need in years to come. To those of you out there looking for an excellent air condition and heating company, Brian’s Heating & Cooling Inc is the one. Get your quote from others. Used to be excellent, but sadly after the owner Brian stopped doing repairs himself its just not the same, unqualified technicians show up instead, some not even having the courtesy of wearing a mask during a pandemic. The work doesnt get done correctly on the first time either. Having to call another company to come and fix what they did wrong.
We were delighted with the prompt courteous service. We were able to arrange for the installation and were surprised that work was completed in one day. We had two 16 seer new HVAC systems placed on our roof. The owner even came out. After the equipment was installed the crew cleaned up both inside and outside!
Their team was prompt and professional. My kids and I remained in the house while they were working and they were so quiet both of my little ones were able to nap. Brian even stopped by to ensure his team was doing a great job (and they were). A wonderful experience from beginning to end.

Yesterday evening our air conditioner failed on us. We were worried it was going to cost us a fortune to replace the entire thing. I had Brian’s Heating and Cooling replace my old AC and Heating unit. Oscar and Jacob were so nice and professional. They did a great job that I expected to be all day or possibly stretching into 2 days. They finished on the first day, cleaned everything up, even swept my garage for me. I had Brians heating and cooling come out to my rental property twice. Once on 6/19/20 to install a new compressor and a roof Jacks for a total of $1680. The second time was to install a over flow pan and connect a PVC pipes on 9/3/20 for $ 1015. Just to find out that all that work was done for no reason the HAVC system was installed incorrectly when I bought the property. The HAVC technician not once mentioned anything about the defects of the hvac system and ductwork knowing full well the system would FAILED even with all the new parts Brians H&C installed. Eventual causing water to leak and damaging the ceiling. I will never hire them again and i dont recommend anyone else to do so either.
I bought a brand new A/C system 7 years ago from Brians Heating&Cooling. It has worked perfectly and they install quickly. A part went out 2 days ago, and even in this mad heat, they got here in 2 days! My service man was Tony and he is absolutely fabulous, kind, and very experienced. He was in-and-out within 30 minutes and I had cool air again. My parents also go through Brians heating and cooling and theyve never regretted it as well. I bought a service plan for a year so they will maintain my heater and AC and give me notifications when it is due. By getting the service plan you also get 15% off parts and your visit is $20 less than it would be normally. No doubt that I would highly recommend Brians heating and cooling for your needs.

I am now a regular of Brians Heating and Cooling. I have my roof mounted a/c unit serviced twice a year, in the spring for the cooling and in the fall for the heating. I am always left a note about what they performed and what they recommend. They clean the unit each time and provide filter and thermostat support, also (if you need or want it).Brian, himself, is a motivated young man with a courteous and patient approach. He values each of his customers. He now has a few people working for/with him and continues to be approachable if I should have any concern. All the workers I have dealt with have integrity and are honest and self-sufficient. I can trust they will do what needs to be done, even when I am not present when they come to work on the roof unit.I highly recommend these folks. They are proactive and trustworthy.

My AC went out on a Sat. The next day was Sun and day following, a holiday so we would have to go at least 2 nights in 114 degree weather. I called 1st thing Tues am and they sent a tech out in 20 min to diag the problem. Bad blower fan motor and the warentee on it expired next month and they had to get a replacement from the Rheem factory, a 2 or 3 day wait. I had to go off to a medical appt in the afternoon expecting another 2 or 3 nights of hot sleeping. When I go home 2 hours later, to my surprise, their truck was in the drive and motor being replaced. Now thats service.
First time I used Brians Heating & Cooling. Technician Josh was on time, very nice and honest, charged us only a service call. We did not have a good air flow. He cleaned everything and put a new filter in. Well, it was time, I forgot. Thank you, I am glad nothing was terrible wrong.Regina

We called Brians hc out to give us a second / third opinion, first shop never even showed up, second said we needed to replace unit due to a gas leak later to find out its a freon leak end of story. Brians gave us a few options, 1 stop leak, 2 complete system check, 3 new system. We went with stop leak, fingers crossed its been 3 weeks now and not that we need it today but it still works. I would recommend them to anyone needing repair or new system.

Very dishonest & RIP offs **Stay Away** I would give this company a negative if I could!I own a home in Madera, CA which is currently being rented out. I have a property management who handles all my maintenance calls, so I trusted there recommendation. They called on Brians numerous occasions when the AC would not cool. The first time they came out they claimed they checked the whole A/C system for leaks & did not find any, okay $200 to recharge. then apx. 4 months later same thing happened guess what? again no leaks found another $200 to recharge. About a year ago I moved into the home the A/C system was not working (again), so I did a visual inspection myself (not an a/c guy), what I found was refrigerant oil leaking past the evaporator core fitting (same place where the refrigerant had been leaking from), simple fix tighten the fitting & call an A/C guy to come out & refill the system, problem fixed.I used the A/C that whole year w/ no problems. I ran the A/C day & night (Im from the bay area so the heat did not sit well with me) w/no issues. The house was vacant for 2 months. When the new tenants moved in within 60 days the A/C stopped cooling, guess who my property management company called? Thats right Brians Heating & A/C. The guy came out found a bad dual run capacitor, he replaced the capacitor w/o my approval for $268 just for the part. I went down to home depot the following day & found dual run capacitors for $17.00 what a rip off, I was furious I called the phone number listed on the invoice & asked to speak to the owner. I explained the situation to him thoroughly & he gave me a sorry a$$ excuse for why their is such a difference between what they installed in my home & home depots part OH the quality of the sheet metal casing is thicker & it is much better quality w/a 5 year warranty, i doubt this dual run capacitor installed by an incompetent company is going to last 5 years, but anyways no later then 35 days the A/C stopped working again it was on a Saturday. The management company once again called Brians they came out & this time they said it was a condenser fan they replaced it w/an aftermarket fan to the tune of 636.00 dollars the motors sell for 150.00 at home depot they charged me $511.00 + service call. What the Hell. I Called my management company & told them to never use this company for my house again.PS: The A/C unit is a LENNOX installed in 2007
I have used Brians heating & cooling for years, over the years i have found that they have excellenttrouble shooting skills and always get the job done right, they will tell you what the problem is andnot try to sell you parts that you dont need like some of those other shaddy companies in town. Thats what sold me on this company, there honesty i give them 5 stars.
